Manchester City vs Everton

Everton will be playing Manchester City at Etihad. Will they be able to stop them from entering the top of the premier league table for the first time this season? Looking at Everton's performance last match against Tottenham they had a good performance up to the point of winning Tottenham at their home. Manchester City on the other hand is the champions of Europe they have what it takes to win and remain in the EPL table till the end of the league. In this match i will be playing Manchester City to win and multiple goals of 3 and above. Because i know Everton will score and Manchester City will do everything possible to win at Etihad.
Manchester City managed to win at Everton's home ground, Manchester City should also be able to win because they will play at the Etihad Stadium. Moreover, Manchester City performance is currently difficult to control. So, playing at home against a team that is without a win in the last six matches in the Premier League, Manchester City is certainly the favorite to get three points to record ten consecutive wins and at the same time lead them to the top of the standings.
City was winning the game against everton. Haaland scored two goals and it was also helping him to get the position as top scorer again this season. it's really amazing to see that how haaland was able keep running without even being fallen after it had been bodied by everton's player. This is why haaland is the best as a striker.
he was having everything needed to be a good striker. I think that haaland needs to perform better consider that the first half was very disappointed to see how he was unable in making contribution to the club. Im very happy after he is now starting to be productive again.

Im sure that haaland will be also scoring in the upcoming games. Everything are still going very well for manchester city after de bruyne and haaland were coming back again. I hope city will be winning UCL again for two times in a row.
EPL is just a farmer league for manchester city coz this team is too strong compared to the its competitors in the EPL. I think that it's quite clear to see that if city will take the trophy again. EPL shall let city to take the trophy before the end of season coz it will win it.
I have always been rooting for Liverpool to win the league this season since to me they are more consistent than Arsenal though i am a Chelsea fan but i hate the fact that City just continue to dominate the league almost on every season while at the end of 2023, they were under performing especially when Rodri and KDB was out and at that time i knew they will bounce at most this year January, just like how they do every season dominating the league from the beginning of the year till that season ends. Also I knew Liverpool only has a chance if they remain consistent and avoid losing or drawing to continue to keep the gap they had against City, since even till now I do not see Arsenal as title contenders but I guess I can say Liverpool failed to do just that, maybe this is as a result of their injury crisis now or maybe inconsistency on their part.

Now Liverpool will be hoping City drop some points in order to top the league well and remain consistent because though they are currently topping the league with their win today but City still has an outstanding match which they may likely win and be topping the league.
502  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Why Security first before acquiring bitcoin on: February 10, 2024, 05:34:36 PM
Introduction
There have been so many posts about reasons to continously buy Bitcoin especially this year, in which another bitcoin halving will happen around April. The fact is HODLing bitcoin is good but is it really the most important measures in needed in acquiring bitcoin?

What's most important at first in Acquiring bitcoin
The most important factor to consider in acquiring bitcoin is security because in the end even if you invest in bitcoin and don't protect your coins well, you will end up losing it and some reasons for security knowledge are :
  • not your key not your wallet:
I guess now we all can accept that currently majority of bitcoin investors understand this now after all the whole issues that has occurred with CEX, that the best way to store your bitcoin is with the use of Non custodian wallet.
Among the notable year for many to believe this was 2022, during FTX crash while Nigerians last year suffered alot from the 2023 Patricia bitcoin hack and till now nothing significant has been done while alot of their customers complained how they were forced to swap their bitcoin for the exchange coin and still hasn't been able to withdraw it, while Bitcoin is increasing they are gaining nothing.
    https://twitter.com/Omikiss4/status/1729900085998461261?t=2krOoWimNzChgykX3lwYOg&s=19
    https://twitter.com/Rebecca91506507/status/1731567386455601419?t=2krOoWimNzChgykX3lwYOg&s=19

  • Hack:
We know CEX mostly fall victim of hacks, since hackers always have their eyes on them, while hacking are the most common reason and excuses CEX gives for shutting down or holding customers funds but this is not really my main focus here, Alot of Bitcoin investors has lost their coins through wallet hack, which is usually through Malware.

There are so many malware like Trojan, keylogger, Ransome and others while some are more dangerous than others like the Keylogger, Ransome and Trojan malware. The most common ways people are affected by this are through phishing scam, site they visit or application they downloaded and this is why it is advisable to use ad blocker and be cautious of the site you visit and where you download applications and files and not clicking random links from strangers.
Many Bitcoin investors have lost their bitcoin through their being device hack and this is not through visiting or downloading from malicious website but also downloading bitcoin wallet app update or any other update which is actually malicious like we saw with Electrum wallet

  • Staking reward and Cloud mining:
In the early days of Bitcoin adoption, cloud mining was the most common scam while it is now less common to fall into since Many have been victimised by it, I see it more as a ponzi schemes, even we Nigerians have had our share on this with ponzi schemes so common in the country now, cloud mining as been the best method in recent times since bitcoin and crypto currency as been gaining ground in the country and as the next halving is on the way this year, we are expecting another to overflow the Internet.

The fact is Bitcoin naturally has no staking rewards since its uses the POW mechanism but many CEX offers this feature were by customers can earn more bitcoin by staking their coins which is enticing but is not good since if we not having the keys to our wallet then is not in our control.

Protective measure of your coins
The key measure of securing your bitcoin include :
  • Use good and trusted non custodian wallet, in fact it is better to use wallet of such made only for bitcoin like Bluewallet, Electrum, Wasabi, sparrow wallet. These wallets also have UTXO/ coin control which help against dusk attack. While among the best for mobile devices are Electrum and bluewallet.
If you want to get an hardware wallet which is currently the most secured of storing your bitcoin, get it from the right source and don't think of getting a used one, also its not also getting an hardware wallet but getting a good one and currently Tezos is like the best for hardware wallet and avoid using ledger wallet
  • Getting updated version of your wallet or any other application is helpful for security but it's important to note that some updates are malicious and so you have to verify if its actually good: Protect yourself from fake wallet software (guide) or also wait for others to try it before installing it.
Using good ad blocker, downloading from trusted sources or visiting trusted sites are good. Also avoid clicking link from randomly online even if you know the person be cautious of it
  • email phishing scam has been the most common phishing scam now in cryptocurrency, one way or order data breach online is inevitable and so scammers might use this against you, in order to get you to review your seed phrase, private key or install an update of your wallet by which they will gain access to coins and steal them and so just avoid messages of such and at least do research or ask questions about it to know if it's true.

  • Avoid staking your bitcoin or using cloud mining. The  best strategy to securely acquire more bitcoin is through DCA, bitcoin doesn't offer staking reward but mining rewards and if you know you can't afford to get the equipment for mining bitcoin or it is isn't profitable to you, through DCA you accumulate more bitcoin till your desire goal is achieved

  • Avoid telling people the amount of bitcoin you have either online or offline and even if you want to introduce to bitcoin, you don't necessarily need to tell or show them, all you have before you can make someone invest in bitcoin

503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which one is the best offline Paper wallet ? on: February 10, 2024, 10:33:09 AM
I believe you already know about why most bitcoiners don't use paper wallet, else I will advise you to go through this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434799.msg61597989#msg61597989

Like OmegaStarScream said, Bitaddress is the best, its more secure using it offline and I don't think there is any other alternative to use while the other two most popular BitcoinPaperWallet and WalletGenerator are malicious even if you are using them online or offline.
504  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If Bitcoin was not eligible to give ROI would you still want to own any Bitcoin on: February 10, 2024, 07:17:31 AM
I then decided to ask, with Bitcoin having so much purpose as to which it was founded, if only Bitcoin was not eligible to give ROI, will Bitcoin still get the kind of adoptation it is getting today?
Though it won't have had this kind of adoption it has now at this time but as time goes by it will have more but just that the rate of adoption will slower than when it offer  ROI, but I can the adoption rate would be faster because there are some unique problems bitcoin has helped to solve, which the government and law hate like
  • You can get bitcoin in order to avoid paying, since it decentralise and if you the government cannot trace the wallet to you, then you are free
  • You can avoid sharing all your funds with spouse if they don't have any idea you such funds in bitcoin

Aside all these above, for this to be done then bitcoin will have to a stable coin which will likely be wrapped to any fiat currency, which will not have been good since  bitcoin came to give financial freedom against traditional means of making payment which is the fiat currency
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Concern Regarding the Future of Bitcoin and Crypto Industries ! on: February 08, 2024, 01:06:36 PM
The centralized authority trying to harm Bitcoin as much as they can is a fact and is an old one. There is no surprise there. But the situation with the Scammer Craig is exaggerated in my opinion. That's because at the end of the day the Bitcoin Protocol is completely open source and is completely under MIT license, so it is near impossible for anyone to make any claims on the code itself and demand any changes.

Not to mention that these things are "too centralized", meaning the court you are talking about is a local court not an international court capable of enforcing anything on a global scale! That's while Bitcoin is global.
I don't really know why people are still worried about this case, it's crystal clear that Craig is not Satoshi and I know that the judges knows deep down but just want to make money and so continue with the drama, which in the end everyone will officially accept Craig is the dumbest scammer.

Though we don't know Satoshi but one thing we all can accept is that if he ever accept to show himself again then it will be for him/they to prove himself after all we have seen high figure in this Forum, leave and return, main example Vod and if his account was hacked or someone try to steal his identity here it will be clear for many here to know its a lie.
Now just imagine someone claiming to be Lauda, that would be too dumb right...

There needs to be a consensus agreement for bitcoin's supply cap to be increased or a fork.

- Jay -
Yea, I missed this part on my reply earlier, its only when this change is accepted by majority of the full node users accept else it becomes hard fork.

Wow bitcoin network can be communicated over radio signals and mesh... give some btc to voyager 1!!!

Ya, there’s been some cool projects working on this over the years. I’ve never tried it myself but I do find it interesting. You can also buy a satellite dish and communicate with the Bitcoin network that way. There are kits you can buy if you wanted to check it out. I’ll stick to the internet myself but by the time you need this stuff you wouldn’t be able to get it.
After seeing this i went to watch a Youtube video about setting it up but to be Frank it is still quite tasking, expensive and require patient to get someone to send or receive from since it still under development and adoption rate is slow. https://youtu.be/6mFu8Wh3rkc?si=lou9Tv65H2abIlKG

Also there is an African bitcoin exchange i discovered it base on this research, Machankura which allow clients to buy and send bitcoin using their phone (any kind of phone) by dialing a ussd code which is currently available to 8 countries in Africa including my country Nigeria.

Clients can send and receive bitcoin to one another with their phone from other Machankura  users or to their Machankura LN address and while users can also set username in order not to publicly share phone number to receive bitcoin

Quote
Redeem Bitcoin
You can redeem Azteco Vouchers directly into your Machankura wallet

Users without internet connected devices can redeem Bitcoin from Azteco even when they are not in a position to visit the azte.co website. Users just need to dial the USSD and append the Azteco Voucher “reference code” found at the bottom of the voucher.
This is the process of getting bitcoin in the exchange.

The book also highlighted that, the last Bitcoin that makes up the over 21million Bitcoins created is expected to be mined around 2035 about the block 1,411,200 and Bitcoins created after this wouldn’t be forced on people.

As what I've read ever since, the last Satoshi will be mined in around the year 2140. Haven't read the book that you're reading right now, but I'm not sure it really mentioned 2035. That's just 11 years from now. We've only just halved 6 times by then. The mathematics doesn't agree.

And it probably won't be block 1,411,200 either. It's certainly way beyond that. We're currently at block 829,453 already and we're still in 2024.

I have actually gone through this part of the book 'Mastering Bitcoin', here is where Op got confuse in the book
Quote
At approximately block 1,411,200, which is expected to be produced around the year 2035, 99% of all bitcoins that will ever exist will have been issued.
which I can say literally means that around 2035 majority of the bitcoin which is said to be 99% will have been be mined at block 1,411,200, which is because with time as halving occur the rate by which bitcoin are mined in a block are reduce and while halving occurred every 4 years. here is a the record of the previous years halving and the next
2012 50btc to 25
2016  25btc to 12.5
2020 12.5btc to 6.25
2024 (probably around April) 6.25 to 3.125

Quote
Now my question is, if the last Bitcoin is to be kind as speculated above,
Is there by any means the possibility of having more Bitcoins created?

None. That's not a possibility.
It is possible, do not forget Bitcoin is open source and so the code can be change to increase the 21 million capped but I doubt if this will ever be done.
509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: AI-generated fake IDs claimed to pass crypto exchange KYC are selling for $15 on: February 08, 2024, 02:15:54 AM
You expect someone like me to believe this? If KYC passed this type of documents then they sucks at it big time, maybe they are using the old KYC verification process, anyone who use their $15 to get such KYC won't be able to pass Binance Exchange KYC verification.

There is only one way, your A.I shaped face on the I.D must come to live, and hold the I.D in it's hand and pass live Video KYC verification that is available on Binance Exchange, there is no taking picture behind the scene and uploading it on the exchange, you need to do it, live.
I hope you know that though Op did not state it but you can use AI to generate live video and also you should know while exchanges like Binance and Kucoin may have a strict kyc verification, that does not mean it can`t be by pass, in fact with AI its more easier, even doing this live video is possible and it has been existing even since 2022 because Chatgpt 3.5 which as a real time information from 2022 downwards knows this.

Well, neural networks are starting to be so harmful that all the joy from their appearance gradually turns into the opposite. Exchanges that require customer verification will begin to impose absurd requirements to ensure that their customers are the people they are. We will wink, jump, and grimace to prove our identity.
All these innovations from enterprising creators of such tools will soon shoot themselves in the foot. There will come a time when it will be difficult for a real person to prove that he is exactly him.
Exchanges will be somehow happy, since they will be able to ask for a more private info from the user while if any data breach or they sell the data, the customers face the consequences.
Its funny how government classify Bitcoin as a currency use by fraudsters and terrorists while their beloved AI is been use for crimes like fraud, identity theft and others, yet is still something for the growth of humanity, that does not need strict regulations. Though one is accepted as a positive impact to the world, while the other as volatile  asset with more negative impact to the world

Remember the time when new bounty companies appeared every hour, and they did not hesitate to declare that to receive their shit tokens, bounty hunters would have to undergo a document check? It’s not difficult to guess where these documents were intended and how many people wanted to send them their documents to get at least five bucks.
I think even now there will be plenty of people like this who don’t think about their privacy, like, for example, registering somewhere and “selling” your account for pennies.
People will do anything just to get some dollar especially when it seems legit and they are ignorant of what is at stake while others may be fully be aware it, they will still opt for it with the reason that they are not a public figure or any other of such. Here is a link about an Article where the founder of Chat gpt were paying Kenyans around $50 for doing retinal scan for the Worldcoin 2023, which is a coin created by him https://techpoint.africa/2023/08/02/make-50-for-an-eye-scan/

Chelsea has always been a great team that have so many achievement titles and all that but these days things haven't been going too well for the Blues, they have good players who can make even the top 4 teams to struggle to get a win not to talk about the smaller teams even a better coach (no doubt, Poche is a good coach), but they have been struggling and those guys who have been there to make things to always fall in line positively are nowhere to be found (Petr Čech and some other guys).
Is it that the current owners are the major cause of the fall of Chelsea, that they're not fit to be in charge of a football club such as Chelsea?
I mean this guy Todd Boehly and his partners they have been calling all the shots in this club especially the transfers and things have been going from bad to worse, if things continues like this I don't see the Blues competing in any Europe competitions but struggling to escape the relegation zone and they (The Blues) will lose good players.
That is why many people are surprised with the current position of Chelsea in the premier league table, despite the signing of new players in the summer but there is no improvement that show that they brought in the right players to save the team from shame. If truly Chelsea coach is a good coach, you will definitely see some changes in the team but the team performance is getting worse every match which you saw what Liverpool did to them 4-1 to achieved three points from them and wolves too did the same to achieved three points from them. Based on what people have experienced from Chelsea so far from some matches, I don't think they have anything to achieve in this season with the poor performance.

I wouldn't call Chelsea's squad weak. They have a strong enough squad. I would say Chelsea's management and coach's inexperience is why their performance is so erratic.

I don't know why Chelsea management sacked Thomas Tuchel. With the help of Tuchel, Chelsea's performance was quite good. Tuchel was fired probably because of the coach's conflict with the management. And even then Chelsea management changed coach several times. But no benefit is available. Now their performance is very poor. Chelsea need an experienced coach first. Without an experienced coach, there is no chance to see any improvement in the performance of this team.
We know already Todd is bad but tee entire management board including the medical team and the head lacks experience or strategy, removing directors like Petr Cech which is important because such experience is highly needed. While in the issue of Poch security a fine coach but he lacks strategy I guess this was why he failed at Psg and not that the players was too big for him to control because even in Chelsea which has quality players of more lesser reputation he has failed to do well, his strategy is too vague and when he put players out of position they play bad just like how we saw in Graham Potter time.

The fact is Poch and his management team should be sacked, I don't think there is much hope for him to turn things around even if they give him other seasons because this season he has performed really poorly strategically while if him and his team are sack, Chelsea should go get good and experience coaching staffs and not signing a manager and his entire team which has failed with Potter and Poch.

Let's go back to the system use by Roman which was excellent for over a decade until Todd took over.

512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 06, 2024, 04:54:19 AM
Manchester City is not a team in the premier league that you will score 1 goal against and feel that you have either won or going to get a draw with them at the end. They will mount pressure on you that would make you to commit  for them to have the goals from behind and this is exactly what Brentford are going through at the very moment they scored the first goal of this game in the early minutes of the first half, now it's Manchester City that's leading with a 1:2 scores from Fodin. This is an opportunity for 2 points closer to Liverpool so Manchester City won't fail to claim it by all means as they are seriously fighting to find their way to the top of the table. I expect to see more goals before the final whistle at full-time all in favor of the cityzens.

This is not a match you can think that Brentford can win even if they’re leading with a goal ahead of Manchester City in the first half of the game. They should be lucky to have even scored that one goal to take the lead, if Manchester City was the team that first scored in this match, I don’t think Brentford can be able to equalize any goal in this game.

Manchester City are so focused on how they’re  going to catch up with their contemporaries at the league standings who are all wanting to fight till the end to win the league title. This is a very crucial match for Manchester City and their victory today won’t be surprising to all of us as they battle for the league trophy.
Man City winning against Brentford was not shocking, I guess everyone expected this but what was surprising, was Foden getting an hat trick though we know he is good but today was excellent.

Brentford continues to drop points out of 5 Epl matches they have won just one and they are not free from relegation except they do better they might be among the 3 teams moving to championship at season ending because as it stands I don't think neither wants Luton or Everton to be relegated while the recent form of Luton has been excellent, Everton has not done well in their last 5 games

Liverpool will be feeling the hit ow since Man City has another outstanding game that will take them above Liverpool if they win and as it stands, it will be hard for City to drop points at the moment now

Some banks think that we are literally idiots:

Example: Wells Fargo sent out invites to join their premier checking account (an equivalent of a spending account).
Requirement: $250K in deposit and your bonus is $2500 and you have to keep $250K there for at least 90 days.
However, the interest on 250K is about $3312.5 in a money market fund in 90 days.
Question: why would I voluntarily gift WF $812.5 (and more if I keep the money there for longer than 90 days)?
In exchange for what? Well wishes?

shuddup and take my money!!

oh wait

ok, so i guess ill just keep my stack in cold storage and wait for math and greed to do its thing
Seriously, the banks will continue to reap ignorant investors and this another scheme but the government will always support them Afterall government and banks are one while giving citizens irrelevant reasons to not invest in bitcoin.

Actually I was thinking about if it was possible for there to be a choice for employees pension to be invested in bitcoin rather than being kept with the banks because they are literally reaping them off while some banks gives a reasonable in comparison to the others but just imagine someone who was literally having his/her pension on bitcoin for the past 6 years, by now they will know that they are really going to retire well Grin

You have a very good insight here and unfortunately many doesn't see it that way. Considering the circumstances at which Ivory coast qualified from the group stage, I knew they will be deadly. That was why I said that the only country that can eliminate Senegal was Ivory coast and they did it and their strength was the group poor performance and the hosting power.
It looks like the first option will be implemented and Mali will win  Roll Eyes After the first half the score is 0-0 but Ivory Coast is in the minority and taking into account the good game of Mali (which were unable to convert the penalty) they can only hope that they can wait until the penalty shootout and will be lucky there. But so far everything is going to the point that the hosts of the tournament are dropping out of it.
With the game is going one can certainly see to be that it will all end on penalty and that's the only the elephants have because they have been totally out played by the Mali team it's just so unfortunate that traore had to miss the penalty if not the match will be having a totally different vibes because I believe that the host nation would have come out and try to get an equalizer but currently now I think there are happy sitting back and absorbing the whole pressure.
Early penalty missed red card for the Ivory Coast but still super sub Adingra bring back his team back into competition with his 90th minute stunning goal, and now we are heading for the another extra time match Mali make things tough for the host nation in this quarterfinal with missed penalty is surely going to hurt them if they lost now after having impressive game in this match.

Mali playing aggressive game, but things are still favouring Ivory which is having good advantage of hosting but let's wait can they bring themselves back into this event with extra time win, or we are having Mali third team to be in for the semifinal spot with last is coming in few minutes.
Mali was so devastated for the lost against Ivory Coast, after so much pressing on extra time, they conceded another die minute goal but they deserve to be because they actually missed too many chances, they were not clinical enough and even they played 11 against 10 ivory Coast still stood their ground strong.

I did be Frank the last goal by ivory Coast was a really beautiful goal but now 3 of their key players will be missing next match after 2 got red card against Mali and another getting a yellow card in addition to the previous he was having will missed the semi final against Dr Congo but I think they will win and we can call them the underdog of this year Afcon

MR preacher, how do you inform people of endangering themselves out there with some links I ain't even sure they not crap?..  even though they ain't scammy links, is that how to preserve your anonymity?
It'll actually be nice to know users in person - but just imagine being entangled on one that'd possibly wreck you?.. I seen a couple of scholarship ads on Twitter, just to end up on a site I couldn't even comprehend.

I don't think, you read all through the replies of this post before writing this because you would have seen, that I apologise for not making it known to others that there are some third party sites among my list.

Anyway now its clear to everyone since I just edited the post, it's up to users now to choose if they want to be redirect to a third party site
