501  Economy / Economics / Re: Could there be a new financial system not dependent on USD? on: April 12, 2023, 02:09:18 PM
I don’t know what is wrong but you guys are really stressing a lot on the BRICS and successful future. There are already unwanted complications between the countries of BRICS which makes it highly unlikely to have successful agreement upon accepting the Chinese currency YUAN as the currency reserve of nations.

In all of them India is one of the strongest candidate with worlds one of the largest GDP rate and its growing exponentially.

The catch? India and China do not form any alliance with each other and they both are quiet because of one nation that is Russia. In addition to this, China and India is always on Cold War. Their borders are always under stressful conditions where chinese are trying to enter the border and claim military zones under them.

Secondly, china is always trying to support Pakistan and Shri Lanka with their problems out of greed. This is to obtain two geolocations one is the Srilankaan Port to access Indian Ocean roots for international trades. While Pakistan is target due to its weakening economy and future investment.

As far as these two nations don’t go along, YUAN is not happening.
502  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time to file tax returns in the USA on: April 12, 2023, 01:01:44 PM
That Timeline is mostly synch around the world and everyone needs to get started with the accounts and balance sheets as soon as March ends. The month of financial year end and month for the Government to get paid enormously enough!

I am not sure how much taxes they are levying on US people but most of the countries are going in the window of 30% tax slot. That’s vigorous taxation just to remind everyone that Government is still in charge of everything and they would go to next level to stop the crypto transaction.

However, this time there won’t be much taxation. People might be buying more around this time to hide their assets and manipulate the sheets. USA will surely gain more capital as compared to rest of the world considering the number of crypto related businesses and individuals based there.

504  Economy / Economics / Coinone Exchanger Employees Arrest - $1.51 million fees for scam project listing on: April 11, 2023, 02:20:14 PM
This news is basically from South Korea.

Coinone is a South Korean-based exchanger and it is confirmed that employees of this exchanger have been booked for suspicious involvement with the "Fuvriever Coin" listing.

What is the crime here?
At first, it may seem that why someone is booked for listing a virtual asset if the exchanger's whole and sole purpose is to list the coins and trade them.
Well, the coin was listed after the whooping fees of 2 billion WON which if converted to USD comes to $1.5 million.

Now that is a lot of fees just for listing a coin. The coin's owner is "Hwang". The problem is, the stated person is directly involved in the kidnapping and murder of a woman who was an investor in the coin.

This gave rise to millions of concerns regarding such high fees for listing and fleeing away with whatever money that could get generated with the coin listing.

This really as a shock that project owners can go wild on their investors themselves.

This kind of news makes us think, why people are not investing in Bitcoin?

Employees of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Coinone have been arrested in connection with exchanging money in return for listing certain crypto assets, CoinDesk Korea reported on Tuesday.
"There is concern about escaping," said Seoul Southern District Court Chief Judge Kim Ji-Sook, who issued a warrant for the arrests on Monday.
Coinone's listing team leader Kim Mo has been accused of violating the Concealment of Criminal Proceeds Act and a breach of trust. Listing broker Hwang Mo was also charged with breach of trust.

According to the report, Hwang paid as much as 2 billion won ($1.51 million) to Kim and Coinone's former director of listing "Mr Jeon" in return for listing certain virtual assets.
Among these cryptocurrencies was "Furiever Coin," a crypto that was listed exclusively on Coinone and that has been linked to a recent kidnapping and murder investigation in the Gangnam district in Seoul. Police suspect that a 48-year old woman may have been abducted and murdered as revenge for a failed investment.

505  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 11, 2023, 12:35:15 PM
~snip~
As for the upcoming announcement of the next lottery winner, it would be great if a winner was some lucky guy who literally had a few golden tickets.

Speaking of the biggest prize, did any of the lucky winners publicly brag about such a prize? I would definitely take the prize in BTC rather than the car, because all the costs I would have to pay to import it would probably be in the range of a new mid-range car.

As for those golden lottery tickets, I play regularly and so far I haven't had the luck to win any, although I know a friend who has had more luck, and I've seen some forum members who have won them.

Till now no one has ever ordered a Lambo. I am sure freebitco knows that very well. For me as well that would be the choice over Lambo. Man forget about the import duties that I will have to pay, imagine the fuel that I will have to burn over it before I could take it out and roam around the city. Lolz. For me, it's definitely not a good idea to trade my GT's for an actual Lambo.  Grin Anyways, in my country the roads are not made for Lambo, either I will lose the bumper or tail lamps on the way. Definitely not worth it.

Rather I would take the prize money, put some in bitcoin or even use Freebitco's Interest feature to earn 4% every year and also put some on FUN token to have more earnings through WOF.

I will cash out some of it and put it at actual work for my needs in the real world. Yeah this definitely sounds like a good plan to me.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects: Over-reliance on the US dollar on: April 11, 2023, 12:05:54 PM
Choose any other country but not China for sure. I am using products in my office which are mostly imported from the USA or European parts because of the quality they provide. We tried a few imports from China but they are horrible in quality and reliance. I am not sure how they did it, but it's all about bulk manufacturing which is keeping China at its peak. The only power China has is its huge population and its willingness to work with the lowest wagers that it can get.

It's hard to find countries accepting Yuan as the currency reserve. If I would have been in any of those countries, I would just shift to the country where USD is accepted. Lolz.

Anyways, China can not take over OR compete with USD for sure. USA has been in the business for ages and it can not be shifted just like that. Imagine the chaos that other countries will have to bear during such reserve.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 11, 2023, 10:19:03 AM
If you truly follow bitcoin, believe that it’s gonna be next big thing in the future then yes you should put lot of efforts into bitcoin investment. Bitcoin is one of those assets in my list which I consider as gold (physical), stocks and mutual funds (savings) and bitcoin (digital asset). Obviously everyone has different perspective, how they save it and how much money they invest in various assets is personal choice. I’m investing heavily in bitcoin as compared to let us say gold and stocks because now I’m more into it. I know or I have belief that bitcoin would give me more than what gold and stocks could give in the near future. I could be horribly wrong but I want to take my chances all the time.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NOVA88.IO | Nova88 CryptoSports | Decentralized Sports Betting | No KYC on: April 10, 2023, 02:27:08 PM
Welcome to the forum mate. Great to see a decentralised casino starting up the journey here. I visited the site and it seems you have taken nice job doing all those designing. The color combination is really fabulous. As expected its smooth to load considering there are not many games yet so the server load must be at its lowest.

Just hope that you will present the casino more prominently. As you have mentioned it’s KYC free, people are gonna love it considering the bad past experiences on the other casino.

I just hope you will not start asking KYC if casino starts earning bill revenue in the future? Have you got any plans for the jurisdiction where your casino belong to?
509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BOT already done, searching for trader with positive storical in Alt coin on: April 10, 2023, 01:55:35 PM
Hello guys, I have made a bot for trading, I'm searching for a trader with positive storical in Alt coins to improve the prestactions of bot, please contact in private

I am not sure what you have made, but you should really look after the already available bots in the market. More than that, you will have to have a highly refined bot to be successful in selling it. If you need someone to try our your bot then I would suggest you run a campaign on the forum with the help of reputed managers here. I have seen people rolling in hundreds of numbers if you have paid a trial.

This way you can collect as much data as you want and refine your bot on the way. There are also popular bots and their developers on the forum itself. I would suggest checking out the Development and projects section for a more detailed review of them.

More or less we also have ChatGPT now and there are rumors they are already building trading-based GPT projects. It is going to be very competitive. So brace yourself for the same. Good luck mate.

510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why only a Bitcoin trading pair is the best thing? on: April 10, 2023, 12:55:43 PM
I think one of the reasons why Bitcoin trading is the best and the best is that when one trades only Bitcoin, his profit will be less than other coins or tokens and vice versa the chances of losing from other coins or tokens will be much less. I personally think that Bitcoin can be the only product for long-term trade management or long-term planning.

Do you think there could be anything other than Bitcoin in terms of long-term planning?

There is no other pair other than USDT may be considering its stability point of view. If you think that trading alts with other alts is beneficial then that thought is not wrong as well. The reason is simple: as long as you are able to trade against other pairs with good volume and your orders are getting fulfilled then you are already doing great.

The only concern is volume and not the price. For any trading pair with only slightest accuracy prices are one and the same. Otherwise we would have been doing scrapping and leaving the trading behind us.

Most of the time bitcoin is good due to it's volume, and little hiked price. But as such I don't think it matters a lot?
511  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: April 10, 2023, 11:17:08 AM
What do I mean by automatic saving? Automatic savings is a type of personal savings system in which the plan contributor automatically deposits a fixed amount of funds at specified intervals into their account. The typical structure of this type is an automatic transfer from an individual's bank account into a savings or investment account.

You are correct and there are various names according to the country/region everyone is from. Most of the Western sphere believes in the share market or stock purchases. Moreover, their contribution is based on accounting and saving up money in the bank accounts and getting those savings interest rates. On the east side, their other ways such as Recurring deposits, Fix Deposits, Mutual Funds, Real estate (land focused), and Gold Accumulation. I have seen the last two at their peak in Asian countries. Anyone with a land mass and gold is rich person and the trend of saving money in them is insanely higher than any other country. Definitely saving pattern changes as per the culture as well and it plays a crucial part in the same. I would say, to be an efficient saver, one needs to have a proper portfolio. One must go with crypto addition considering its growing exponentially all the time.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / American Nuclear Powered Bitcoin Mining - A success glimpse on: April 10, 2023, 09:36:07 AM
This is some good news coming from America after a very long time. Considering we are just hearing about how US regulators are imposing the strictest rules on various banks, exchangers, and whatnot.

However, the technical side of Bitcoin is prospering on one end in the same America!

Reportedly, a nuclear-powered mining facility that is Nautilus which is operated by TeraWulf utilizes 91% of zero-carbon energy. The number of miners they have installed is around 9,200.

These are the actual number of miners which are in the Nautilus facility however TeraWulf has more than 27,000 miners across their all facilities. They are powering the mining at 5.5 EH/s and have already boosted the network with 65% power-ups.

Nuclear Power Plant producing 2.5 GW of energy. The fact that TeraWulf wanted to have GREEN DATA centers, they have merged and have a stake of 25% in the same.

Definitely, we need more such Green miners so that problem of an environmental issue that has been raised from time to time can fade away and we will finally have Green Bitcoin!

Quote
America’s first nuclear-powered Bitcoin mine has announced remarkable results for the month of March 2023. This pioneering facility, which harnesses the power of nuclear energy to mine the world’s leading cryptocurrency, has surpassed all expectations and cemented its position as a trailblazer in the field.

The mining center, Nautilus, which is owned and operated by TeraWulf, utilized over 91% of zero-carbon energy to power approximately 9,200 miners.

These powered miners played a significant role in contributing to TeraWulf’s remarkable average operating hash rate of 3 EH/s for the month, representing a massive 50% increase compared to February.

According to the latest unaudited monthly production and operations news release from TeraWulf, Nautilus continues to outshine its competitors in the Bitcoin mining realm.

TeraWulf’s Mine Fleet Boosts Hash Rate Capacity By 65%
TeraWulf’s operational miner fleet of around 27,200 miners, which includes 18,000 operational miners at the Lake Mariner facility and 9,200 self-miners at the Nautilus facility, has played a crucial role in achieving an outstanding self-mining hash rate capacity of 2.8 EH/s.

This marks a phenomenal 65% increase in the first quarter of 2023.

“We continue to execute as promised, delivering strong results in Q1 2023,” Kerri Langlais, Chief Strategy Officer of TeraWulf, stated. “We believe the continued hard work and commitment of our people has positioned us to achieve our goal of 5.5 EH/s of capacity in the second quarter.”

Pioneering Green Bitcoin Mining With Nuclear Power
In August 2021, TeraWulf and Cumulus Data, a subsidiary of Talen Energy, announced their joint venture, Nautilus. The aim was to build a green data center that would operate using nuclear power. Fast forward to January 2023, and the shell for the data center has been completed, thanks to the 2.5 GW nuclear power station that’s powering it.

TeraWulf has a 25% stake in the project, which is expected to reduce the company’s energy costs and achieve a computing power of 5.5 EH/s by the second quarter of 2023.

While concerns about the environmental impact of Bitcoin mining persist, the trend of upgrading machines and adding new fleets shows no signs of slowing down. Since 2016, the global hash rate for mining has continuously increased.

The Nautilus project is not only considered a significant step towards more sustainable Bitcoin mining practices, but it also marks a crucial milestone in the adoption of nuclear energy in the tech industry.

By harnessing the power of nuclear energy, Nautilus Cryptomine has the potential to significantly reduce the energy costs associated with Bitcoin mining and mitigate its environmental impact.

513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 03:13:23 PM
No, we do not do anything about it. We just keep it as it is and see how Government changes its infrastructure for Bitcoin adoption. In time, they will have to change it because Bitcoin is unstoppable. The more banks fail, the more criminal activities rise, they will have to go through it systematically and see what can be done.

I might sound a little off the track here however, a system can only be set by Government in the current scenario. The negative image is all because of a few criminals around the world. If we start doing something for Bitcoin, then it should be buying more holding more, and having our own keys in our possession. That is all for its survival and long-term future.
514  Economy / Economics / Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 09, 2023, 12:42:53 PM
This news is from the IT Hub of India, that is Kolkata. The Techie who is just 23 years old had invested a big amount of money in the Crypto space. The investment when asked him was around INR 30 lakh ~ $ 36,600 in US dollars. That is a definitely huge amount considering his age and country of residence. Even in America, 36K USD is pretty handsome money and you can do many things with it.

So the gravity of this can be sensed easily.

He was saved by the Cops after a local Cab driver alerted the police and the response team was at the incident quickly.

He was trying to jump from the largest bridge on the river named "Hooghly" to end his life.

The investment was not his alone but he collected the money from various sources. He took loans and also was using the pension from his mother. Definitely, he had no plans and no idea what he was doing.

Just save up your bitcoins in cold storage, only buy what you can afford to lose and most importantly don't fall for the traps of crypto space.
Bitcoin is the only savior in crypto and if you own the keys, you win the market.

515  Economy / Economics / Mt Gox Creditor Repayment window open | Do Kwon $10 mln penalty on: April 07, 2023, 07:01:30 PM
This news comes with some positivity considering Robinhood is penalised with the penalty of around 10 million dollars. However it’s still unclear that why they only have such tiny bounty to be repaid considering the fraud of more than 60 million dollar was done by Terra company.

Do Kwon is the target while his associates were also charged in the crime they did. They have done worst to the crypto sphere, shook the economic balance and trust of thousands of peoples.

They have opened up the repayment window and hopefully everything gets settled. However, the question still remains whether this is enough money to recover all the loses?

Legal news

South Korean prosecutors identified $314.2 million in illicit assets associated with Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon and his associates, out of which $69 million is directly linked to Kwon. He, however, converted most of the illicit funds into Bitcoin using overseas crypto exchanges, KBS reported, so the assets tied to him are not recoverable or under South Korean jurisdiction.
Major US online trading platform Robinhood “will pay up to $10.2 million in penalties for operational and technical failures that harmed main street investors,” the USA, California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) announced. The DFPI joined the multi-state settlement that followed a North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) investigation into the platform outages in March 2020.
The deadline for Mt Gox creditors to provide their repayment information has passed, opening the window for repayments to be made, according to an April 7 letter from the exchange Trustee. The Trustee will carry out the necessary preparations to make the repayments, coordinating with several financial institutions, including crypto exchanges, which will receive and distribute the payments to creditors. “In light of this, it is expected to take some time before the repayment is commenced,” it said.

516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you consider yourself as a risk taker if you buy bitcoin? on: April 07, 2023, 04:56:55 PM
Let’s assume I’m trading bitcoin everyday and trying to grab as much profit as I could in then that would be my trading risk. If I’m going buy bitcoin at different prices and store them in my cold storage then that’s gonna be my holding risk. If I’m going to invest in bitcoin under third party programs like swapping liquidity etc then that would be risk associated with it.
In short whenever someone is buying bitcoin for any purpose mentioned above they are taking a risk for sure. The risk is when they lost the coins value OR their real investment value. If they are increasing the profits over the time then they become risk free and win the trade. So from my side yes we are risk takers.

Only dividing by zero could be worse.    Its also possible to buy a lottery ticket and not win, again that'd be a zero so it doesnt sound too unfamiliar a situ to encounter.   Just limit what you bet till you find what you like and are fine with risking, never do all imo that's going to leave you bored the next day.

I was going to ask since it flagged up for me but is the app for freebitco likely to just be a random creation by someone or is there an official app.  Either way I have not used it that I remember  but I had it flagged for removal so figured I would ask, I cant remember when or where I saw it first.

I think there is no official app. Only made-up apps with affiliate links and also home screen shortcuts. They just keep sending you notifications now and then so that you can keep clicking more and more. I have seen a similar discussion happening a few months back about whether there is an app or not. In conclusion, there is none.

Freebitco has a big user base and I believe they should really launch the app for all the platforms. Most of the faucet sites have already launched an app for themselves. In comparison, we don't have it. In freebitco app, user accessibility would increase many folds and experience will grow as well.

I am really not sure if they have considered it or not, but if there would have been any app, then you could have seen it on the website already.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin remains value haters on: April 07, 2023, 06:00:12 AM
Most of the Bitcoin haters are government and financial regulatory bodies. The problem is from centralized crypto projects who has made Bitcoin or crypto space look like some spam land. Due to them, various laws are getting broken and thus regulators have no choice but to ban them from time to time. To overcome the burden on the financial system they are literally trying to ban crypto from its basic rights. This is why the hater's number is rising all the time. As an individual, there are a few billionaires who hate the concept of bitcoin because it is creating many millionaires and few billionaires in the process thus making jealousy among them.

Anyways, all of these won't matter in the future as it gets clearer that bitcoin is more of perfect store value asset rather than some war coin.
519  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: April 07, 2023, 03:13:47 AM
This is one of those posts which we rarely see. A casino themselves taking charge to understand what a user wants is just an astounding feeling. I am seeing some good ideas here but I did not read someone posting about the "ladder" competition. One of that competitions is when we see people competing with each other all the time to get those top most position and earn a handsome bounty for the same.

If we are talking about the Bitcointalk forum then we can have Ladder in the Games & Rounds section. We can have a monthly Ladder in which the competition would be to get the highest wagering amount for that month or if we want a quicker one then it could be a weekly wagering requirement.

We can have a Top 3 wagerer ladder or something like that. I think such ladder (name was different) was already published by another casino and it ran successfully for very long period of time.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: The beginning of the end for centralized AI? on: April 06, 2023, 05:57:10 PM
If governments are banning AI then definitely they might have found something nasty about the ChatGPT. Let me guess, ChatGPT is injecting itself into government servers or may be leaking out military server information in the public river? You never know what could be the reason but mostly it seems that they have predicted this already. There are also many other possibilities such as Centralised AI capturing critical info like stock market, shares, start predicting some next level outcomes. This could cause chaos everywhere and lead the humanity towards worst future. Well, if AI this powerful was easy to create then definitely it’s possible for it to go next level.
