Zerocash is 3-6 months off, I don't know any others.

but which coin in your opinion would be the most attractive to somebody who is new to this?
The problem is that most people don't do the research: None of the altcoins you listed are truly anonymous (even anoncoin today is not anonymous). For the most part, they are at best just using fancy ways to mix transactions to make it harder, but not impossible, to figure out transaction linkages. The best solution doesn't always win on the open market, as the rise of DRK attests. Zerocoin and Zerocash are the only solutions that I am aware of that provide 100% provable anonymity, and Anoncoin will probably be the first to implement zerocoin. So, to answer your question: Anoncoin is the most attractive for not only provable anonymity, but because it's price is currently in the gutter... there are quite few coins claiming to implement zerocoin right now. anoncoin absolutely must do it first in order to somehow recover. if other project gets there first somehow then its pretty much over. is there any way to at least find out how much zerocoin feature been done so far or at least hints on its finalisation? Exactly. ANC is a hit or miss atm. Current estimation is about 4 weeks: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227287.msg7425706#msg7425706 - but we have no way to tell if that is going to happen or not, previous estimates of launch in late march/early april failed to emerge. (and this is only for the test net)

It is said that crypt will be listed to btce, can our dev talk to btce boss about XMR lists there? I think that's a lie, the whitepaper is a joke. I'd imagine the creator does this so he can sell his coins for the highest possibly value before the coin dies. That being said, I think it would be great to have btc-e add monero, unfortunately they don't seem to be interested in that. I tried asking if they would add it (e.g for a donation). This is what btc-e support said: Hello
no planed
I'd imagine the only way to get coins added there is through a personal connection or possibly paying something under the table.

I asked on IRC today about the current estimates, this is what he said: [00:22] <coinRelay> <Gnosis@I2P> TheKoziTwo: ZC is probably 4 weeks away from testnet [00:22] <coinRelay> <Gnosis@I2P> the UFO server is probably a day or two away

Zerocoin could feasibly be implemented now then? It's done being "Developed" ?
No, the implementation is not finished. That's what Gnosis needs until 10th of July for.

|
Nice, can we betatest? How long do you plan testrun on testnet? This is all we know atm: [23:12] <coinRelay> <Gnosis@I2P> myeagleflies: I am aiming for July 10 for getting it on the testnet [23:13] <coinRelay> <Gnosis@I2P> probably not much longer before it's on mainnet [source]What does this mean? Well, Gnosis estimates that he will be ready to start beta testing zerocoin on July 10th and not much longer after that it should be ready to be launched in anoncoin. That being said, a few estimations was made earlier (on their blog as well as twitter) and both of these passed with no explanation of hold up etc, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Looking forward to the MRO pump on MintPal
Are we sure we haven't seen it already? Monero isn't even on Mintpal yet, idiot. It's #1 on voting list, #1's get added every Monday, today is Wednesday. That means Monero is going to get added Next Monday, idiot. I'm pretty sure he is trying to say that since the market expect XMR to be added to mintpal the market will already have priced this in, thus there won't be further spike than we have seen, in fact the price may decline since the expected pump fails to emerge. I personally think we'll see a spike higher than we have seen last few days since adding it to mintpal will expose more people to monero.

is there a rich list yet , ive only just learnt that the first block was mine 12 months ago ,
there is a Bytecoin Rich List but it is more than a year old thus utterly outdated. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170752.0ask Bytecoin leadership to publish a proper Rich List. ~CfA~ That's Bytecoin (BTE), a bitcoin clone and not the crypto note based Bytecoin (BCN). There won't be no rich list for BCN, that is not possible due to the design of this currency.

When we're on the topic of privacy coins, how come no one talks about anoncoin? The zerocoin implementation should be finished within the foreseeable future. Also it's dirt cheap at the moment.
There is a reason it's dirt cheap. Market sentiment clearly indicates a complete lack of faith in Gnos1s ability to complete ZC within the estimated time frame. This is no surprise, he already has broken the last 2 estimates that were made. If you believe (or know) that he will succeed, then indeed, this is a great opportunity, but if he fails, the coin really won't have much value left. The real ZC is right around the corner, how is ANC supposed to compete with them if they launch last? I'm personally invested in both monero and anoncoin (big mistake), but monero has a working implementation and all the attributes that makes it a good crypto currency, anoncoin on the other hand is currently just a set of vague estimations and promises that may never come to fruition.

So these 2 lines of code is your definition of busy? Am I missing something?

Hi I have the problem Error: transaction <5a65b629b7559ae477c97e55e203da7f841b9df2da9f5f7a2813f98541c442c4> was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"
The latest version. How to solve it?
Exit simplewallet. Delete the .bin file (but keep .keys) , launch simplewallet again and let it sync fully. Then you should be able to spend. Sometimes you'll have to also delete files from %AppData%/bitmonero/ but it shouldn't be the case for you. I did all this. Nothing helped. I even downloaded blockchain from here. Thanks anyway. So what does the daemon say?
