whats with your EMail ?
no password reset?
Signed up with a temporary email In all honesty, that's really your fault. You have to assume you will be hacked at one point in your digital ventures and plan what you would do when it happens. Least you could have done is made sure you could reset the PW somehow.

Here's a few more that were blocked, not sure what's causing these to be flagged but Malwarebytes is generally good for blocking rouge IPs.

Updated:
Now accepting Barclays PingIt. Fees dropped, I now pay more than MTGox for your coins.

Site is running Apache/2.2.20 (Ubuntu) for anyone who wanted more information.

LOIC won't do much damage and it's a skiddy tool, won't help you in the long run. Hire someone to do it for you or you can set up your own means to take down a website.

I use Malwarebytes and it's IP protection usually blocks dodgy IPs. No way to block an incoming connection through the client itself, you have to use a firewall or prevent it from connecting to you through your router.

Haha lovely. Claims to be able to sell hardware as expensive as this yet can't afford a domain or hosting. More than likely a scam. Below are a few of the users profiles based on the MTGox username: http://www.bitcointrading.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1900 http://www.terracointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=313 https://ripple.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2034&start=190 https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/33780-4000-firecoin-new-and-as-hot-as-fire#
Also, possible address and full information listed from another of his domains. http://whois.polodomains.com/domain/iJGdzcoUgpoHUnWz9NNvEf0Hv6qPnX8T_info.html
All public information. If Jonathan comes in to this thread and wishes to clarify any misunderstanding then I'll be happy to edit this post out but this is clearly a scam. Poor website, no refund policy, no actual structure in their process all leads to this being a scam or very shambolic operation. This information was put up not to create a witch hunt but to allow users to get in touch with you directly in case you fail to deliver on your products.

Just reported, thanks. If we could get the submission on Phishtank verified that'd be another great step too.

Well, nothing we can do to stop you but I think it's clear that PayPal in the long term just is not suitable for this kind of thing. They've already said they do not allow Bitcoin purchases - which I see no different to any other digital service that gets provided online - probably because they see Bitcoin as a threat or want to integrate it into their own systems.
Imagine this, the market cap for BTC is only at 1 billion if I'm not wrong. PayPal could easily integrate BTC into their systems and offer a sort of in house currency exchange. Buy BTCs in batches of millions, turn profit by charging customers for the exchange. Rinse and repeat. The only downside to this is that it's success would rely on the community, but as we've seen with MTGox, if it's mainstream, people will flock to it. It can't be helped. People just want the easiest option and no doubt if this did happen, PayPal would make adding funds to PayPal accounts even easier.
Back on topic, your whole business is based on PayPal. Sooner or later your account is going to raise flags unless you literally have a way of masking your payment sources, which in itself is against PayPal ToS and probably illegal if taxes are involved.
Anyway, just my two cents. GL.

What are you going to do when PayPal limits you and possibly starts reversing transactions for you buying Bitcoins with PayPal?
|
|
|
ok , let's use escrow then.
Who'd you have in mind for escrow? I have the coins on LocalBitcoins but for some weird reason it's not showing them for sale. Happy to move the coins to a trusted escrow.
|
|
|
Will take the best offer, need this done as soon as possible please. Don't expect me to go first unless your a very trusted member. I've done plenty of trades here before the trust system was implemented but if we use escrow it'll be at your expense.

You might as well sell on LocalBitcoins at those prices.

Did you send him the codes? He shouldn't have to send the codes first. Canary should be paying vortex first and then the codes would be sent. That's how it should work. The offer of escrow has been noted, so if there's problems why is it not being used? Not honouring your side of the deal is just stupid. Scammer? No. Making a mountain of a molehill and not going through a deal just because there's a small disagreement on who goes first? Yes. Both of you are just as bad as each other, vortex for creating a scam report when there was no actual scam and for something that could have been dealt with over PM and a mutual agreement on escrow and Canary for not honouring his side of the deal just because he doesn't want to go first. Use escrow if you don't want to go first, it's not hard.

Site needs more ads, but other than that it's a good concept.

Still selling, escrow is offered.

indeed after looking at this the site has nothing up to make it a phishing site.. What's your proof?
Just because it's a parked domain doesn't mean it wasn't used maliciously. http://www.jsunpack.jeek.org/software/?report=8a9fc2242ef7c2983bde7e37cfa076b9475745b2 [nothing detected] www.bitc-e.com/ status: (referer=http:/www.ask.com/web?q=puppies)saved 164 bytes 4f1aef5fd0cfbdc9a656e89795dcd1097879f34b info: [script] stats.hosting24.com/count.php info: [decodingLevel=0] found JavaScript error: line:3: SyntaxError: missing ; before statement: error: line:3: [b]Poutine HF[/b] error: line:3: ^ file: 4f1aef5fd0cfbdc9a656e89795dcd1097879f34b: 164 bytes
Decoded Files 4f1a/ef5fd0cfbdc9a656e89795dcd1097879f34b from www.bitc-e.com/ (164 bytes, 4 hidden) download In case the link goes dead: PoutineCoutou a/k/a Poutine from HackForums has been known to hack MTGox and Bitcoin related accounts and try and sell the coins on. I know this personally because one of the members who was hacked contacted me by tracing the travel of the Bitcoins through the blockchain. My address for BTC exchanges is public, I have nothing to hide so I see no reason to keep it secret. The blockchain showed proof of the coins travelling from the hacked MTGox account, to a online wallet and then to me. Now, what makes you think Poutine who is known to target Bitcoin users hasn't brought this incorrectly spelled domain for malicious use? Maybe he's realised that people are catching on and has just parked the domain to get money from it or trying to sell the domain off? He's done it before, what makes you think he won't do it again?
