I think this is the perfect moment to fork Github and make it independent from the giants.

Lets do it. We could build the fork over 3 or 4 years, and then sell it for a few billion to Google. Smiley

What the heck... I am all in!!
5042  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A good resource with ICO performance information on: June 08, 2018, 08:37:40 PM
Maybe this article is interesting for you: https://www.coindesk.com/the-ultimate-list-of-resources-for-researching-and-launching-icos/
In there, they give links to several websites with new ICO`s information.
Taking a look at the sites they provide, they seem well-informed, but I`ve just taken a quick look.

I am looking for pure financial performance indicators. Gracias.

5044  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Regulacion, impuestos y gastar en cripto on: June 08, 2018, 09:49:52 AM

Lastly, I wonder if any of the people on this forum that are constantly telling others to learn English have ever made a personal effort to learn another language before preaching others to learn theirs. Those who try may discover new cultures, new ways of thinking, but mostly they will discover by themselves the magnitude of the task that they are demanding from others in the name of some self-given superiority.

I learnt French and Latin at school, but I'm a bit rusty with them. I learnt quite a bit of American when I had an American girl friend, and I used to visit her three of four times a year. If you have English as your first language, you have a bit of a problem deciding which language to choose as an addition one, unless you have family or business associations of course. I think that I would choose Chinese or Russian if I had to decide now.

American? I am not sure what you mean  Roll Eyes Like color and colour or centre and center and all that?

It is fine to help people learn English, I am just complaining about members that put all the focus on the language.

5047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: our project has no use of crypto currency. can I do ico? on: June 08, 2018, 08:59:59 AM
hi, all:

our project has no use of crypto currency. can I do ico?
our purpose is just to finance our product development and marketing.
Thanks.

george wu

You can, but you will have to change your project. Let me explain:

You will be asking people to give you money for a digital asset (token or coin) to launch your project. These people will want a return on that investment and that means that the token has to have a value. There are two ways of providing value:

- Utility: the token allows you to buy a service or a product or gives you a discount when doing so.
- Dividend: the owners will have a share of profits of some short. Sometimes voting rights too.

You can mix these.

What you can't do is to sell tokens, get the money and forget about the investors. That is, by definition, a scam.

5049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need a mentor (introduction) on: June 07, 2018, 08:43:09 PM
Welcome. I think you have a great attitude by wanting to learn and looking for experienced people. As most users have already mentioned, you probably can learn most of the things on your own. Let me suggest a few "tasks" that may help you:

Task 1 - Read the forum rules. There are posts "pinned" at the top of the Beginners section that will help you not getting on the bad side of admins and other members. Find out about what is considered spam, serial posting, merit, ranks and trust.

Task 2 - Read about bitcoin. You can do that on the internet. You are likely to have doubts, so ask them in here. Intelligent questions are worth as much a good answers.

Task 3 - Find out about what is an ICO, a token and a coin. Then try to figure out the differences between Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, and the classics.

Task 4 - Find out where can you check the prices of tokens and coins.

Task 5 - Find out what is bounty. People are always talking about it, so is good that you know.

Task 6 - Explore the exchanges. Take a look at three or four. Learn the difference between a decentralised and a centralised exchange.

Task 7 - Figure out what is that you would like to do in this community. Bounty? Invest? Learn? Troll?

Task 8 - Learn to use Telegram if you don´t know. Find at least 5 groups that you like.

Enjoy the path and the learning, and just ask in this section the questions that you will have when doing these things.

5050  Local / Servicios / Re: Looking for translators to Spanish (ONLY native speakers!) on: June 07, 2018, 08:28:56 PM
Looking for bounty translators to Spanish. ONLY native speakers with advanced level of English. We don’t need translators for 1 or 2 projects, we need qualified and responsible people for collaboration on a long-term basis.  It’s far easier to find customers in a team, that’s why I offer to work together.

I am interested. I am sending my portfolio by pm. Please, let me know what´s your idea.

Estoy interesado. Te mando mi porfolio por pm. Por favor, coméntame cual es tu idea.
5051  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How to track wallet ownership and operations (Clustering) on: June 07, 2018, 03:34:33 PM
I'm not sure what is meant necessarily by clustering (what you think it is)? However, there are analytics that look at transactions that are of equal amounts (or similar). These can be grouped together, say someone sends 100 Bitcoin in a transaction, it'll probably stand out against the rest won't it for that day.

Timing is obviously important, if something is sent as soon as it is recieved, then it's more than likely the person sent coins to themselves in a hop or a service (which usually have a large amount of coins in one address).

There's also master public keys that link wallets together, I assume ether has the same.

I'm using Bitcoin as an example, it'll be the same for ether though.

Some exchanges make it particularly difficult to follow. With Kraken you can generate a key every time you want to transact. I think that is quite untraceable, but I would like someone with good knowledge to show me I am wrong.
5052  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Does Xapo "spamming" the blockchain ? on: June 07, 2018, 03:31:48 PM

Xapo wallets seen spamming the blockchain..

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/39oM6nD6SrTashAJnud8iLfSEgRD8mgeWF/transactions/all/0

You can see that this address among others that are being sent/received to has been moving tiny amount from side to side for unknown reason.

The last few days these addresses are moving 70 input txs from side to side.

This has

It is to low of a volume to be considered spam IMO. Looks more like a "ping" of some short.

5053  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Strategy regarding compliance on: June 07, 2018, 03:28:28 PM
Offshore / crypto-only services will still exist without KYC - I think there is a demand for that.

I'm not so sure of this. Most offshore fiat banks require KYC if you want to open an account with them. They even require KYC for bitcoin cards from very low amounts.

Sorry, ignore the slash in my post. I meant crypto-only, non-fiat services.

Maybe Binance moving to Malta is an indication of their stance on this.
5054  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: HILO DE MERITO EN ESPAÑOL MAYO 2018- Pon aquí posts de calidad on: June 07, 2018, 02:19:49 PM

Ummm no me había dado cuenta!!

5055  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Regulacion, impuestos y gastar en cripto on: June 07, 2018, 01:37:45 PM

5056  Local / Servicios / Re: A translator needed on: June 07, 2018, 01:31:25 PM

This is what YOU think. But, there is always someone who invests his time to get some tokens which are perspective.

Dear friend, I am giving you free advice. Your reputation and the quality of you papers as well as the quality of what you offer to your partners is all one and the same thing.

Just to clarify this to you: You are telling us that you are making an ICO to raise several million and you are paying 50 dollars to your translator.

You will get a translator for that price, but be sure it will be exactly worth what you are paying for it. I have been there.

5057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcion forum User name on: June 07, 2018, 01:27:14 PM
Why most of the peoples in bitcoin talk have fake user names?

It is very obvious my friend, we are dealing with cryptocurrencies and the first rule is to be discreet about who are you, where you live and how much you have. Anyway, my real name is so common that it would not make any difference.
5058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Whitepaper] NuCypher KMS: Decentralized key management on: June 07, 2018, 01:13:56 PM
Hi, I would like to reserve the Spanish WP translation if you decide to launch a Community Program or "Bounty Hunt". I can also manage the Spanish thread of your project. Please, see my portfolio here. I focus on quality over quantity, so I do not accept more than 3 or 4 translations and threads at the same time. Since you have an Spanish member in your team, from Universidad de Málaga, I am sure you can evaluate the quality of my work directly.

Sample:

NuCypher KMS is a decentralized Key Management System (KMS) that addresses the limitations
of using consensus networks to securely store and manipulate private, encrypted data [1].

I wish you the best luck with this project. I will be applying for whitelisting when possible.
