Those are great posts you have listed, especially Terminology and How to sign a message. I made one activity points calculator for the newcomers, I don't know if it will fit in the great list but you can give it a try.

5082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No future for bitcoin on: January 30, 2018, 08:06:00 PM
I think that Bitcoin became too popular last year(s) but it was not that prepared for such popularity. It was a huge wave of newcomers unaware of what Blockchain/Bitcoin nor the risk involved in, totally new to trading or investing just thinking for the possibility for quick big profit.
This huge wave of new transactions made the whole system slow and expensive, but people did't stop investing even when price reached and broke 16-17K$ hoping for quick reward. Then everything started falling, people stated loosing money and the panic-sellers were everywhere. Came the correction, bad news of "banning cryptos" in Asia helped for the second correction and then came the bear market, now it went under 10K$.
Nothing unexpected for the people who are aware of what is going on in the market.
Maybe the Lightning Network will help but I'm with mixed feelings about it.
Let's see what happens.
5083  Other / Meta / Re: Smart spammers on: January 30, 2018, 09:26:16 AM
I've seen it too, they copy a good comment and just mix it a little. Most of the time is done in the same thread as the original post, if you have the time to read all the comments you can spot many like this.
The smarter ones are pasting them in different threads with similar topic, so you have to be really careful in spotting something like this. I think I have reported already one or two such activities.
Now with the merit system is gonna be easier, just find one of the merit-ed post copy-paste it in different thread and there you go.
5084  Other / Meta / Re: Could be a glitch l Be careful on: January 29, 2018, 11:37:23 PM
I have experienced the same. If you refresh the page or go back you repeat the sending and you actually send two times. So be careful when you exit the Merit menu.
5085  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: January 29, 2018, 10:06:53 PM
I do almost the same thing with my sMerit points in the beginners and help section but I'm reading all the posts and report the spam .
Let me try your service. I'll just post two posts.
My suggestion for changes in the Bounty section, looking for different opinions too : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827369
My informative post for the newcommers : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2534500.0
5086  Other / Meta / Re: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts] on: January 29, 2018, 09:45:17 PM
Apologies for the off topic,
I report mostly posts, can I report profiles if I see something suspicious and how? It would be helpful if we get a "report Profile" button, it may reduce the account farming.
5087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Trading and profit, how do you set your goals? on: January 29, 2018, 08:25:46 PM
Thank you people for the good advices. What I have done now, I sold what I bought by mistake. Instead of buying STRAT i bought START !! What a noobie mistake, I know, but shit happens sometimes. So I sold it and just fill my bags with ETN. I have a good feeling about it and I'm aslo mining it a little. It had a dip today til 0.09$ and hoping to sell it back to 0.25$ in some time. The START project was already dead when I bought it but I realise the truth when it was already too late, -182$ but thats life, you learn from your mistakes.
5088  Other / Meta / Re: Merit rewards for Signature Campaigns! on: January 29, 2018, 08:07:11 PM
I don't see it happening due to the following facts:
- Not every bounty is managed by a official bounty manager. Often bounties are managed by their own team, with a newbie or jr member accounts.
- Many bounty managers are with negative/red trust. No need to comment more here
- This will be extra job for the bounty managers, I guess you don't understand how much work is to be a Manager /at least for responsible/professional ones/ how they gonna be rewarded?

I can continue...

- What if one manager manage for example 3 campaign at the same time and is running out of points? Then not everyone will get what he deserves and it won't be fair.

Overall idea is good but ... it's not that easy.

I have another suggestion to reduce the spam but, see here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827369
5089  Other / Meta / Re: 11 Merit - 125 posts - 112 ranking - any questions? on: January 29, 2018, 06:53:00 PM
Hi Guys,

I am now a member of bitcointalk.org since fall last year. And since then I have written some postings. One maybe more interesting, the other not so. Now I have slowly worked towards a reasonable status. And now - system merrit.
I am missing since last week 8 points for the full member status. Meanwhile, I have also brought these points easily.
But due to the merit system, I now need another 90 merit to reach the full member status. In my estimation, I will need about 2 years to get the community willing to donate to achieve this.
I think that's not fair. But shit happens.

C'mon, why everyone is complaining about the system? Mostly, I see members moaning how they missed the train of free fortune and wealth. Put yourself together and start producing quality contribution to the community. Big part of the legendary and hero members have already given a lot to the crypto world. Projects like etherium, litecoin have started here, those people deserve respect if you want to reach their level then you have to earn it somehow.Sure there are Hero and Legendary shitposters but hey, no one is perfect. What is your contribution /not personally the OP but all those complaining/. I'm doing what I can to learn and help the same time, check my profile.

Here is your first merit point for the effort. Good and informative post, you can check this one for a reference, the terminology in the crypto world :

5091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Which bounty campaign is very good now? on: January 29, 2018, 01:10:38 PM
I'm planing to make a list with all active bounties, so we don't have to scroll back hundred pages for to find what are the newest ones. I'll discuss it with the admins and hopefully get everything organised.
You can check my thread I started and let me know what you think.

5092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Trading and profit, how do you set your goals? on: January 29, 2018, 10:09:37 AM
Hello everyone,
What profit in % you are after when you are opening positions?
I'm talking about not only day trading but in a bit longer terms like a week or so.
How many positions you open for one coin?
Looking for guidelines and good strategies.
I tried trading with 50$ in Nov-Dec, made them 180 and then decided to enter right before the dip, now I'm mostly holding to recover, thanks to the BTC im on + and some coins are already on + like CND + 70.69% and XRP +20.46% but others are on - 20,30,40%
Wondering now shall I sell the ones on + and reinvest or wait for more gain? Just to note all my investments in altcoins are around 600$.
5093  Other / Meta / Re: Idea for the Bounty Section and ANN improvement plus bonus - less spam :) on: January 28, 2018, 08:43:11 PM
Unfortunately this won't have any significant improvements (although I see your point), unless there will be an sticky thread regarding this.

There's already few threads that to an extent do these (each for certain type of bounty):

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 26-Jan-2018] - Regularly updated
Overview of ALT Coins Signature-ad Campaigns - Outdated
ALTCOINS signature campains list [UPDATE 25.07.2017.] - Outdated
Overview of Bitcointalk Twitter Campaigns [Last update: 11-August-2017] - Outdated
There's also a user that listed all of the active bounties in a single thread (recently) but couldn't find it.

Bounty managers for starters are probably quite happy with the way things are, they're earning some really good money for really quite easy work and probably don't see a reason to change unless they're forced to.
The managers that actually do their job (instead of pretending), don't have an easy task/work (it's more complicated than what most users think).

Thank you, this is really valuable information, well I was hoping to get it pinned but I guess it won't happen until I start a poll and collect enough supporters to this idea or something similar.

Regarding the bounty managers,I can tell that it is not a easy taks for sure, contolling so many peopl. There shoud be other way, not as easy as the boutny managers to fill it but maybe it will be possible aslo for the bounty hunters to report it or I can do it but again, someone has to spread the word.
5094  Other / Meta / Re: sMerit rewards need to be multiplied by 10, or merit requirements divided by 10. on: January 28, 2018, 08:09:49 PM
I disagree, the ranking system is perfect so far, no need to change anything. I have already collected 11 Merit points for the last days and I can really confirm that it is possible to rank up. I'm trying to be helpful in the Beginners and Help section and also trying to give my sMerits to the  newcomer who are here not only for the profit but have something valuable to share.
I was a newbie just 3 months ago and it was really difficult to find what I was looking for. Now I read some of my old posts and I can see how much I leaned for those 3 months. Coming  from an ordinary forum it takes time to adjust to the new environment here, so some shitposters may change by the time.
I would be proud of myself reaching higher ranks. This will show me that I have something to give to the community and it was appreciated.
5095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nobody has seen Bitcoin creator "satoshi" ?? on: January 27, 2018, 11:04:26 PM
Well I can say that some people may know him, maybe not in person but for sure had a close communication in some way. My best guess is theymos, he is the Admin now and satoshi was the creator of the forum. I do believe that he knew the guy or what sits beghind the satoshi name.
How about those guys /the admins/: https://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/wiki/Home/
For me Craig Wright is the guy, as Gavin Andresen said in the video below, that  Mr Craig Wright digitally signed messages using cryptographic keys linked to blocks of bitcoins known to have been mined by Satoshi Nakamoto.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNZyRMG2CjA&t=6s
Possessing the key does not automatically make him Satoshi but it's a really high change to be him.
5096  Other / Meta / Re: (Infographic) Merit & new rank requirements on: January 27, 2018, 10:53:42 PM

For every merit point you are awarded you receive half of a smerit point. If you receive 10 merits it means you will automatically have 5 smerits as well. Smerits are the points which you are able to award to other users (give merit). This is actually the best part of merit system in my opinion because it gives you an incentive to pass merit to deserving posters since smerits don't have any value for holder.

Thank you for the information, it was really helpful, now I know that sMerit actually means - sendable merit Smiley

Also it would nice if you add some FAQ and a differentiation between Merits and sMerits, many people still seem confused about that

What is the difference here, looks like now I'm onf of the confused ones??

To the OP, great work! With your permission, I will put a link to this thread in my Rank, Activity and Merit points calculator post. Smiley
5099  Other / Meta / Re: Idea for the Bounty Section and ANN improvement plus bonus - less spam :) on: January 27, 2018, 07:25:43 PM
It's a nice idea and it would certainly tidy things up a little but the main issue with something like this is actually pushing people to use it. Bounty managers for starters are probably quite happy with the way things are, they're earning some really good money for really quite easy work and probably don't see a reason to change unless they're forced to.

Second to that, this still won't stop guys from asking 'what campaign is best' etc, these people don't want to take the time to research projects and make their own decisions, they want to be spoon fed.

Yeah I know, thats why I introduced the idea to the admins erlier here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2605767.msg28433845#msg28433845
If the moderators take over and make new rules in the ANN and bounty section it will be much easier for everyone. I'm just giving the idea here so everyone can benefit out of it. If they what to create their own form and spreadsheet it's OK. Or they want me to take over, this is also OK, I'll do it. There are so many other things to be changed and fixed, I have more ideas but we'll see. just step by step Smiley
5100  Other / Meta / Re: What will you do then? Please be truthful while answering it. on: January 27, 2018, 07:09:53 PM
I'm not here only for the signature campaign, sure it's tempting to get some extra cash in a way but hey, this is the future, bitcoin is much more than just an investment assets as almost everyone is seen it. It is a freedom, it is possibly and it is solution. The blockchain itself has revolutionised already the business world and giving freedom to the good ideas to develop and succeed. I'm here to learn, ot understand, to know. This is just the beginning and it will be as big as the Internet or even bigger. I don't really care about the signature campaigns. If they are gone, it's OK. I'm enjoying my time here and I don't support my family from the bounty campaigns here.
