5101  Other / Meta / Re: Idea for the Bounty Section improvement plus bonus - less spam :) on: January 27, 2018, 11:49:54 AM
This is just one idea how to put a little order in the mess /at least I see it that way/ in the forum. Regarding the bounty links, I think the link to the ANN thread is enough because everyone should read it before joining campaign.

Looks like a promising and strong team. I will check the their profiles in LinkedIn later. Maybe I'll join the whitelist but first have to read the whole white paper and roadmap Smiley

I like Escrow option of DIW token Smiley

Yeah this is what I also liked about the project.Hope to see more from the team and good luck.
5104  Other / Meta / Idea for the Bounty Section and ANN improvement + update on: January 26, 2018, 01:51:04 PM
I made an example of something maybe useful and something that was missing here from my point of view. Many people are in the forum only for the bounties, f is this good or bad I can't say, but this is what they ask for all the time, especially the newbies: A list with all the bounties available for them.
If theymos decides to remove the signature campaigns, as it was discussed earlier HERE this will be irrelevant, but I leave this to the Admins.

Now the problem I see:
The Services and Bounty sections are full of spam posts with questions like "Which sig campaign to join", "Any campaign for newbies" etc.
Old bounties and new bounties are mixed on every page and it is a mess.

This is just an example how the system might work and improve the currents situation >
Here is what I created - Google form to be filled by the bounty managers /I have to note that it does not collect email addresses/:
https://goo.gl/forms/hXdTSWTwSc7pvg6H3

The spreadsheet with the answers:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CFL41C6zmkKkzBpqgghR93WGIvqp8N_XT4WlqeW4vkg/edit#gid=1594220160

Everything will be easier to read and to follow bounties, find a new one according your rank.

I want to hear your opinion.

Just a note to the early adopters: Not all the newbies, bounty hunters or non-native (NNES) are shitposters. For some It's more like a stage you go trough when you are new to the community, and you have your first interactions with this different cryptoworld in some way.
Trough the campaign I've joined til now I've learned many new things, reading whitepapers and understanding the process and possibilities given by the blockchain technology. I'm not gonna make big money out of it,I have my well paid job here in Norway, but acquire knowledge on the way.
5105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rank, Activity and Merit points calculator, v2 on: January 25, 2018, 10:25:29 PM
With the introduction of the new merit points system in addition to activity, leveling up is now impossible to predict. I still like your spreadsheet and I'm keeping it in my bookmarks, but man... what a bummer.

For those who missed the news: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

What do you guys think about merits?

I think this is one solution to all the spam here. It's easy to reach 10 Merit points if you post quality posts. From 10 to 100 is a bit more difficult for Full member. We are still in the beginnig of the new system, hope that with the time the system will be adjusted. Lets see what happens from now on.

5107  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 02:58:14 PM
You report all the spams accounts you created from your main account and there you have Merit points for reporting spammer.
Merit points are awarded for good posts, not for valid reports to moderators.
The problem is non-existent as the reward is non-existent. You didn't understand how the system works.
Read the OP again.

I was following the thread for while and it was mentioned that there will be a rewards system for reporting spam. I can say that I do understand the whole concept of the Merit system and I totally agree with it. I guess the reward system for reporting spam was just a user proposal.
Just wanted to thank you for doing this, answering all these questions. It's appreciated Smiley
5108  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 01:03:57 PM
There are also ways to farm Merit Points so the Mods/Merit Sources have to be careful, here is just a scenario:
You create 10 accounts, then you start spamming with all 10.
You report all the spams accounts you created from your main account and there you have Merit points for reporting spammer.
There always be someone trying to cheat the system unfortunately, so Admins and Mods have to be aware of this.
5109  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 11:15:49 AM
I see people can get a negative Merit Points too. Do you actually rank down if fall under the rank limit? This can be speculative option if it gets into bad hands.
But the idea is really good, well I was really close to Full member now I have a longer way to go, but no worries, I think I can contribute to the community, already got 7 Merit points and this is awesome Smiley
5110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rank and Activity points calculator, v2 on: January 25, 2018, 11:01:42 AM
Misprint
Merti points -> Merit points

Thank you, just corrected the mistake. Smiley
5111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rank and Activity points calculator, v2 on: January 25, 2018, 09:58:36 AM
Now the game has changed and for the newcomers coming only for the bounties it will be difficult. Now you have to contribute to the forum and earn Merit points in order to rank-up.
I have updated the calculator with the Merit point system. More information you will find in the calculator Smiley
Good luck
5112  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 09:45:17 AM
I Have updated my Rank and Activity Calculator according to the new rules. Now you can learn more about Merit and sMerit.
If you find it useful that would be great. It's made most for the new users Smiley
Cheers Smiley

Here is one idea, merit points as a reward for reporting spam posts/accounts.
5114  Other / Meta / Re: What is the function of the "Merit" score? on: January 24, 2018, 10:38:09 PM
I think this was the initial idea:
Quote
To attain ranks above Member, you'd have to earn some number of merit points. Merit points would be awarded in a monthly vote on best posts of the previous month, with various measures (TBD) to prevent gaming of the vote. Winning merit points might also come with a BTC prize.
There was a long discussion regarding the changes here >

What about signature company? Tables are not updated. Maybe there's no point in participating in your project anymore.

Here is an answer. You can remove it now Smiley

Then they work for what? while the campaign is over and stakes for facebook and twitter campaigns have been completed in the count. I think they are too eager to participate in this campaign.
any update  for BTCx project? no announcement even in telegram looks like the project was abandoned? i hope not our stakes will  go for nothing if this project was stop Sad
You should also read here buddy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2460832.msg28425545#msg28425545
we've been allowed to remove the signature .. I have removed the signature .. to update the latest information problem, we just wait a few more days .. You do not need to panic about all this .. we just need to give dev and team some day
5117  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: January 18, 2018, 10:34:12 PM
Here is my idea and contribution to the community.

There are two type of Newbie spammers, the ones that are really new and have no idea what to do here in the forum and trying to joint bounties and repeatingly asking how to rank up. (I was the same in the beginning)

BTW is really messy here in the forum if you need find info. The search engine is horrible and the main guidelines are scatterd arround on differents posts. As a newbie it was really difficult for me to find what I needed.

The other ones are the side/fake accounts - for trade or extra profit.

For the first ones I have created one Rank and Activity calculator so they can stop asking every day when they are going to rank up.
Now I created hopefully something usefull and something that was missing from my point of view. Many people are here only for the bounties, and this is what they want: A list with all the bounties, here is what I created:
Google form to be filled by the bounty manager I have to note that it does not collect email addresses:
https://goo.gl/forms/hXdTSWTwSc7pvg6H3
The spredsheet with the answers:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CFL41C6zmkKkzBpqgghR93WGIvqp8N_XT4WlqeW4vkg/edit#gid=1594220160
I want to hear your opinion on this idea.

For the fake accounts I do report every suspicious activity I spot.
5118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My ETN mining experience with CPU on: January 18, 2018, 08:15:37 AM
Very interesting, what miner you are using for cpu mining?

I currently have the following running :
1x AMD FX 8530
1x i7 2600K
1x ADM FX 6100
+
1 GTX 770
2 GTX 560TI

All together making around 1.3 kH = aprox 30ETN per day.

But I'm looking to optimize it. As a newbie I used MinerGate GUI for the CPU miners and the GTX770 and ccminer for the other cards but, I see I can make more out if the setups.
5119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] BTCx - The Most Advanced Version of Bitcoin - Privacy Matters! on: January 16, 2018, 10:38:58 PM
I have removed my signature yesterday since no one answered to my questions. I wrote to their Telegram reading the problem that the bounty manager was offline since 6th of Jan. Got no answer yet. I guess you can wait if you want, but this is so unserious to not answer, and not give any information.
I think you have less patience .. if you delete the signature before there is more information from dev .. you will not get payment from your job for this buddy .. you will work in vain

Yeah, but I didn't got approved either so, becase the dev havn't been online since 6th of Jan. I tried to contact the team trought telegram and got no answer. So wasting 1 week is no problem for me.
