It seems suspicious that in this thread you say you found a mixer at bitmix4you, but in another thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=649856.msg7379063#msg7379063) you say that bitmix4you is yours.

That must be why he had such a good consumer experience with them.  Grin

i don't agree with blacklisting any addresses, period.

Me either.
It's funny how when Mike Hearn even mentioned "coin taint" these forums went nuts with hateful, crackpot retaliation. Now that the FBI has coins people are screaming for a central authority to block coins.
It's a bad idea and it wont work anyway. Me or someone else will just buy the tainted coins cheap and sell them to you after a bath.

Hey this may interest you. Or maybe you have seen them, but the videos of "Brian Cleckner" are outstanding. He's a former sniper team leader and does a great job as a teacher. Each video walks you through a hard to understand concept in long range shooting.
Here he is on understanding MOA.

I think it was a bad call as well. It does encourage kidnapping. Having said that, there is a tradition of swapping prisoners at the end of a war. But this war is barely getting started.

I thought the guy was captured in a war zone, not kidnapped?

Your right. He was taken but apparently after leaving post. Big surprise, huh.
5125  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IL-76 with EU contractors shoot down in Lugansk. on: June 18, 2014, 05:00:32 PM
mercenaries, lol?

I worked as one and believe me, it ain't cheep. A serious fighter can cost $10K/day. There is no money in Ukraine for mercenaries. Maybe a trainer or two, but a fighting force would cost wayyyyyy more than the conscript army that Ukraine can muster.

I saw a report from tribal Pakistan that showed a Talib fighter and his young son. The father was proud to show that his son was learning English so that when he grew up he could continue fighting the Americans in America.
I think a lot of Americans think that if you just go home the wars all go away. Unfortunately we don't get to decide. I fear this war will drag on for decades now, and be fought all over the world.

I never heard of Google flights. They need to get on the ball like Expedia and accept my btc!
You should check it out. It's amazing. However they do not sell tickets. They do what Google does best, they just show where the best price is.

I'm doing some bolt gun shooting this weekend. A combination of guns and math, what's not to like?

last time I went to "clay pidgin shot" I was checking my breath and heard beating ...

btw, I heard off that

"mIt researchers develop tech that may monitor vital sings such as heartbeat _from another room;"

Wow, that's crazy.
I'm kina excited because I just got accepted as a candidate member at an awesome gun club here in Wisconsin. This one: http://wingunclub.org/

They have a range that allows you to shoot out to 1400yds. That is beyond my Remington 700P and my current ability. Still, I can't wait to try it out!
5129  Economy / Speculation / Re: No ATH this summer on: June 18, 2014, 03:24:25 PM
I don't get it. Bitcoin already has made me more money this year than all my other investments combined. The returns are insane. Yet when it fails to go to the moon like you wanted... it's not going anywhere? I seriously doubt any of us is aware of any investment that is even close to the growth of bitcoin.
Chill, this is going to take years to play out.  Smiley
5130  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is this a scam? (email supposedly from BlockChain) on: June 18, 2014, 03:18:25 PM
BTW, if the email contained your correct personal details it doesn't necessarily mean it came from Blockchain. More likely you have had an account elsewhere compromised that is related to Bitcoin and also revealed your contact information and so they are targeting you as a likely user of Blockchain.
I think that sounds right. Did you have a gox account? Their list is for sale all over the net now.

I like to be optimistic, but not about money. In that case I think realistic is the best default.

That is a very weak attempt at a scam.

5134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iraq's second largest city, Mosul, captured by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria on: June 18, 2014, 02:54:51 PM
Baghdad will never fall , we have 17 000 us troops and mercenaries there , remember? Wink

The US embassy is heavily fortified and there are thousands of US troops and private security contractors guarding that facility. But if the ISIS launches a surprise attack with all their might, the Americans will not even get time to evacuate their personnel.

If the ISIS will ever try to launch an all attack on that embassy it will be their doom.
They will die there without setting foot inside.

The moment they gather in large groups for such an attacks they are targets for the planes and drones.

My guess is that they will wait until the Americans will evacuate and just then storm Baghdad.
That is they will even reach the city.
If only it were that easy. We were not able to beat these guys after more than a decade of fighting on the ground. We certainly wont beat them with airstrikes now. There is really nothing we can do to stop this.
5135  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallets on: June 17, 2014, 08:23:03 PM
If you have downloaded a bunch of bitcoin/altcoin software I would start by reformatting the HD. Many such programs have keyloggers and other malware.
Anyway, I like a cold storage wallet, like a paper wallet, for real money. And a spending wallet on my phone for small balances.
5136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain Address Question on: June 17, 2014, 08:18:01 PM
Since Blockchain seems to be what all the atms I have come across deal with I was wondering if you could change you QRcode/address multiple times?

Could not find any info in a quick search through the help section on their site and nothing in google that I could see.

So can you change your address to send and receive to and from daily?

I ask as some of these atms set limits and this would be one way to bypass that and the KYC paper work.
You can create many addresses and change whenever you want. However in the US you will have to set up an account with your full identity before using one of the ATMs. The owners of the machine must be able to say that they sold xxx bitcoin for xxx dollars to xxx person.

I'm buying some tickets for the mid-east (Jordan) later this week, maybe I'll try these guys out and see what kind of price I can get?

QUOTE FROM BELOW:
I think it's hotels only for now.

Aww, that's the least useful part of their service.  Undecided

It's basically the only part they make money on.  I think they -might- get $5 per plane ticket, some none.  Same with car rentals.  Hotels they have deals with the sites to get a nice spread on -some- of the hotels, some no spread whatsoever.  Thin margin business for sure.

Ah, that makes sense. Frankly, since google flights I never use anything else for air tickets. I consistently find crazy low prices via google flights.
5138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-qt help on: June 17, 2014, 07:46:27 PM
Alright, so when I have up to date blockchain , I just transfer from my blockchain.info address to the address that Is created at my receiving addresses?
That's it! And as mentioned. You could send now and when the block your transaction is in gets downloaded the balance will appear. I'm not to familiar with blockchain.info, but if you can send a fee you should. The current rate is like 0.0001
Without a fee it will very likely go through, but the fee expedites things.

Could you please answer to my "EDIT" question and also If I receive my bitcoins from blockchain.info to 5 different addresses my balance on bitcoin qt will show total sum of all bitcoins I have on all the addresses? And If I want to send funds to other person he would receive the funds equally spread from all my 5 addresses?

You could create an address and use it a bunch, it will work. However it starts to get hard to keep track of all the money when they keep going through the same address. There is also a privacy issue. Suppose I pay you with that address. Like anyone, I can check the balance of that "addy" at blockexplorer.com or elsewhere. If you use a new addy each time then no one will know your balance because it will be spread across a bunch of seemingly unrelated addresses. A business might value this more than you. And some businesses go with one addy per customer, for example. For an individual it may not matter much, but it does help with book keeping. Does that help?

5140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-qt help on: June 17, 2014, 07:25:26 PM
I have a wallet at blockchain.info and I would like to transfer It to bitcoin core qt so my funds would apear on my bitcoin core qt, how do I do that?

First i would download the blockchain. You can get it from a trusted source, as above, or just wait and let bitcoin-QT download the whole thing. It may take days, but you don't need to do anything except wait for synchronization.
Once you are caught up you can go to "receiving" in QT and create a new receiving address. That address is what you want. If you send bitcoin from blockchain.info to that address it will show up in your QT wallet. If you send it before you are synchronized it will still work, but you wont see the balance in qt until your synced.

P.S. once you have transferred funds to QT you should make a backup copy of your wallet.dat file.
That's all.

Thanks for this explanation, I will probably download blockchain because I see It will take week or even more to synchronize everything and I went to receiving addresses and there is already address added but I didn't add anything, so It ok to use that address?
Yes. By default it creates your first receiving address. It is also worth the time to label the address. Maybe something like "transfer from blockchain.info". There is no hard rule about addresses, but you may want to consider creating a new one for each transfer of bitcoin.
