Now that EOS has finished a year long ICO, are they going to sell all the ethereum they have and thus make the price go down? Will this be an opportunity to buy cheap?

Guys, we are all so poor that our dreams don´t extend beyond "a few millions". There are things out there that are really cool and cost much more. Not that I know of many, but if you want to f*king cry go hereSee... confortable middle class now looks terribly boring, don´t you think? Some of those look very affordable, like only an order of magnitude more than a house in a decent neighborhood. What's the catch? No high-speed internet? Commute 100 miles by boat? Island-owners association fees? Stupid question: what stops your island being invaded? On a more realistic point if your island is just off a country, the country gets taken over (say it's a hostile country) can your island be forfeited - I suppose this is the same as regular land. Therefore, once you buy your island, you might need to employ guards or people to patrol it - unless you make a network of tunnels and just hide below the surface forever but that's not a great idea (you might end up stranded). $72M isn't that bad for an island. I would assume that despite being private it's still part of some country like a regular private plot of land in some suburb and not a sovereign entity. So I shouldn't need to have my own army. But it probably implies another catch: taxes, particularly property taxes. Yes of course, you own the island, but it is not your own country. If someone invades your Island in, lets say, Dubai, they are effectively breaking the law of Dubai.

I think merit nowadays is really hard to obtain, I've been posting informative post before but still doesn't get merit from anyone who has to give. I don't really understand how it works, maybe you need to post a quality novel about crypto so that they can see your post, and at least they will give merit to you. I think helping people to rank up is more glorious than collecting all merits with your quality post. How about those people that do not know how to construct English, is there any way they can get a merit?
Look at my merit page. You will see that I give plenty of merit to non-English speakers.

It would be interesting to see the decentralization of government and governing. Currency is a good start
Why don't you take a google-look to the project Bitnation Pangea and how an existing Native American Nation is going to use for self government? It shows how anyone can now create a have virtual nations with citizens with a governance system on the blockchain. That's really interesting, wondering how it'd actually work on a big scale I don´t know. I own 1 Million tokens... I think is like... 50 USD ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I just wanted to be part of it. Maybe I will make the Voluntary Decentralised Republic of "Paxmania" and see how it works

Maybe Theymos decides one day to create another level like "Mythical" or "Shatosi´s Secret Son" so even Legendary members may "need" merit for the future. In any case, I reward by quality, but I am more forgiving with the first one or two points to welcome new members.
It's undeniably good to hear Mythical or something like that. But I've seen moderators who have different titles below their name called custom title. I think it's okay with that, it's somehow like that in a way. Like the "Lambhorgini Member" of hilariousandco. That's awesome Yes, I have seen that one, it´s a good one definitely.

It took 9 years for Bitcoin to become what it is today. Many people sold early and still made a profit, but today, that we commemorate the first pizza sold for bitcoins, it is clear that hodling makes sense.
|
|
|
I used to like WAVES but now I think that it will never lift up. It means that you can hodl as much as you like, but the interest for leasing is ultra-low and the prospects are not better than that.
