I think because it is a digital asset. Most of the older generations are still hesitant to invest in crypto because it has no physical form unlike fiat. They think anyone could stole it and not secure. Same goes for paper money if someone has really that intent. It's just they are just not updated about the new trends or they don't feel secure investing in crypto.
Let's put it this way, the main reason of investing is profit, and bitcoin seems does not guarantee a profit to them because they will see it as a high risk asset. Majority of the investors are not into high risk investment since they want to ensure their money is safe and will grow even at a small percentage. Some just even entrust their money in the bank without knowing it's subject for inflation. |

There are many coins already existed in the crypto market but still do not surpass the ETH. So, how BNB could be the main giant which can kill the ETH. Still, now Ripple has not surpassed the ETH in spite of highest demand. BNB is just evolved in this 2 year and the project is much different than ETH. So, it will never kill the Ethereum.

I agree that this super dump last 2018 is just a correction for people,to accumulate more bitcoins for the upcoming bullrun this year.
I'm happy and proud to say that I accumulated that long period of bear. But I have friends who are unfortunate enough because they panic and dump at that period, now they seem to be coming back and might get FOMO again. If you are not smart, you'll make the wrong decision, which is the opposite of buy the dip and sell at peak. These morons buy the FOMO and sells the FUD. Some of us lose hope last 2018 putting all their money in and now we can see hope to regain all losses and gain so much profit
