Are you aspiring to divinity?
Out of curiosity, what miracles would one need to perform to qualify (according to your standards) for aspiring to divinity?

LOL, look at him, just look at him! LOOK! He is contemplating his divine powers

I see MP more as a King than a God.
Is MP the guy on the donkey, dressed in a cheap suit by Walmart?

Something to keep in mind whenever someone bring up past prediction performance is that distinguishing between luck and skill is very difficult.
You know, the problem I have is neither MP's luck or its skill. It is its alleged divinity 1. MPOE-PR wrote Why MP is your God in the thread title implying there is some sort of a god. 2. I got interested and read the thread. I hoped to find evidence of MP's divinity. Such evidence if found might indicate that the object called MP might be a god. 3. MPOE-PR wrote Bitcoin is MP's world Holly molly, she claims MP is not only a god. MP specializes in Bitcoin. Cool 4. I examined MPOE-PR's claims. What I found was a call to stop buying at 100. You could expect a much more precise call from a divine object, couldn't you? 5. What could you expect from a god? You could expect buy till price reaches 250- 260. Then sell / short. Conclusion: MP is not a god. Bitcoin is not its realm.

1. Why did MP tell people to stop buying at 100 when the price was about to reach 266? Gods are supposed to be all-knowing...
2. Did MP tell people to sell at 266?
You may be too stupid to understand [...] I just asked two questions. Be a dear and answer them. If you do not know the answers to my questions, simply have the courage to admit you'll fail to answer them. If you fail to answer the questions I will not call you stupid. Your questions are broken, in that they make mistaken assumptions about the world which renders them unanswerable. That you don't realize this is what makes you stupid. It's not a matter of me calling you so, it's a matter of you being so. You are requested to answer the question, not to write cliches and excuses. Come on. Did MP tell people to sell at 266 or did he not? It is a matter of facts that should be within your knowledge. Failing to answer will not make you stupid; rather uninformed.

I. The 100 dollar miracle. On April 3rd, MP says BTC is not worth over 100, and tells people to stop buying. 1. Why did MP tell people to stop buying at 100 when the price was about to reach 266? Gods are supposed to be all-knowing... 2. Did MP tell people to sell at 266?

What he meant was ''We may bring this topic / chapter back to life''. ''Może przwróćmy ten temat / sprawę ponownie do życia'' in Polish. What he in fact wrote is ''We may bring this division of the back (human anatomy) to life''. Zabawne; pewnie sobie w google przetlumaczył i zafundował nam ubaw po ... pachwiny (również ludzka anatomia)

I have a feeling MtGox will soon burn to the ground...
this thread will be irrelevant,
I vote that chartbuddy move the Stamps thread now.
Why not just change the title to "Wall Observer - BTC/USD wall movement tracker - Hardcore" and post both MtGox and Bitstamp picture + aggregated picture of both. Possible?
|
|
|
I hate ChartBuddy. The graph is ugly and not very useful. Please, stop.
Yes, CB's charts look confusing. Adam, how about at least rotating the graph? This way CB pictures would be consistent with the logic of charting softwares use (price on vertical axis, time on horizontal axis).

1. If someone dislikes the word ''authority'' used by people doing business as DATA, they can simply stop using Bitstamp as their exchange or they can stop using BitPay as their processor.
2. To my knowledge people doing business as DATA declared they only want to self-regulate (they may be anticipating a bureaucratic attack). No problem here. If however their future actions contradict their declarations (e.g. they will try to earn money by striking deals with the govs like guaranteeing monopolies or will co-operate with the govs in devising and / or enforcing regulations on other non-DATA businesses), anybody is free to apply ostracism to DATA businesses and boycott them, and anybody is welcome to create business with ''no talking to government'' sign imprinted in his business logo.
3. Assuming the very negative scenario in which people doing business as DATA lied about their intentions and will manage to fuck with the Bitcoin system (it's not their declared intention and I believe their declarations), simply a better currency with a government-proof protocol will be devised and Bitcoin will bite the dust.
4. Really there is nothing to get excited about.

There were harsh words written about TBF's plans of using its financial resources to hire lobbyist instead of paying programmers for a testing and development of the Bitcoin system. My solution was, (i) create a tool for Bitcoiners to finance the system development through crowd financing (voting with money) and (ii) let TBF spend their money on lobbyists and die. I made a draft picture of how such a crowd financing website might look like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=210130.msg2209663#msg2209663

Plus500 freeze trading to screw customers with all their products. They owned me once. 1broker algorithm is working way better for me.
Every bucketshop screws their customers either through MT Virtual Dealer Plugin or through some other inventions. Once the bucketshop finds out your trades are profitable they manipulate prices and delay your orders. It happened to me many times. Once I waited 15 minutes to get filled.

I don't know. Plus500 like to freeze trading when the price is moving It is often that exchanges / brokers have 2 types of data: throttled or snapshot one for average traders (like Interactive Brokers or Dukascopy) and a quality one for data broadcasters and big players. Either Plus500 uses standard API that Gox avails to retail traders (which often breaks at fast price movement) or Plus500 indeed screws its customers (which is typical for bucketshops). Plus500 is a bucketshop. and 1broker don't seem to be doing it. 1broker does something else - quote from their website: Our algorithm uses several data sources to calculate the current price. This protects us and our customers from market manipulations. 1broker manipulates the price (through the algorithm only they know) and then claims to be saving you from manipulation. You can't make this stuff up
