Those circuit boards look shiny, like they have some plexiglass stuck to the back.  Maybe they aren't part of the structure after all.  Though obviously this is just a mock up Smiley

Whether your idea is likely to have the same amount of success is a whole other question.
So don't bother with anything unless you can approach perfection?  Idk if it's really a good idea to compare like this, I bet Satoshi had plenty of projects that flopped before he hit on something.
523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: May 30, 2013, 07:41:16 PM
So because they pointed out that you were screwing around with them, that's scapegoating?  I don't think so..  I don't even see how they reacted unreasonably.

If a person comes in here smooth talking and has a beautiful webpage, that doesn't mean much.  If a person comes in here, a bit clumsy with some details, not great at PR...  that doesn't mean much either.  What will be meaningful is who shows product and when respectable forum members start talking about their working miners.

Warning people is great, I'm glad you're around to do that... but you're bringing the same accusations time and again.  Please don't harass people until they deserve it.
524  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Not looking good for FPGA's on: May 30, 2013, 06:45:46 PM

This shows how many bitcoins you can make in a year with 1GH.  For instance if I think difficulty will be 13% for the next year and I'm going to be getting my FPGA at July of this year.  Lets say this is a 300MH about the best you can do is 2BTC

So with 1GH in July at 13% you would get almost 3BTC
At 300MH that's less than 1BTC in a year.
As you can see if you were going to run a card for a year starting in March next yer you'd only get 1/4 of a coin.

Anyway if that's hard to understand it looks like you would spend about 2BTC and get back less than 1.5 in two years.  This is without electricity.

Does this mean you won't get paid back?  No, the price will probly go up and you'll get your electricity back + some.
This is just saying that you're not going to make your coins back, you would have done better in the long run buying BTC

That's what I was thinking Ekaros, but with kind of a humorous/ominous tone Smiley
526  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Not looking good for FPGA's on: May 30, 2013, 03:01:12 PM
Oh yeah, if I had any I'd probly run them till the blocks run out!

I don't think he was making fun of the people targeted.  It was about how ironic it was that an anti tax group got caught because they were being transparent.  Very screwed up system.

But watch his lead-up to the last statement, he's pointing out how wrong everything about this is.

Sounds fun, what are you envisioning as an end product?
529  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The kill/trade game on: May 30, 2013, 05:30:50 AM
With those stats it looks like confession is the overal winner..?
530  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should We Print a Bitcoin Bible? on: May 30, 2013, 04:50:36 AM
In the beginning there was zero, the void.  From zero came one, the Universe, the positive and negative - masculine and feminine.  Through their interaction all else came to be.

Now how to ramp that up and connect it to hashtags..  Tongue  Funny I actually have a lot of this worked out already.
531  Other / Politics & Society / imho... on: May 30, 2013, 04:15:25 AM
The Bitcoin Bible would start with the creation story.  This would be a perfect lead in to the ideology.  Then it could teach about basic use and give updated security tips.  Ending on a fun note there would be speculation about bitcoins freeing the minds of people in difficult times, and the second coming of Satoshi.

Should I edit my list?  I suppose it would be fair if the actions are locked in at the time of PM Smiley
533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners -GH/BTC -ROI with difficulty [Updated May 29] on: May 30, 2013, 03:31:16 AM
The only problem I have with this chart, is this assumes "no-one except you" has one at the time, and the market is "frozen", in VALUE and DIFFICULTY.

The columns to the far right represent different difficulties.  They are each what would happen at that average difficulty in the next year.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 29, 2013, 10:07:54 PM
Interesting times over in the KnCMiner thread.  Just wanted to say if you do get any information I would love to update my chart.  I know they seem like a long shot at this point.  Fun to watch nonetheless!
535  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Stealth Runner - Runs applications hidden during PC Idle on: May 29, 2013, 10:02:59 PM
I haven't downloaded it so I haven't seen yet...  but this would be nice to set up for friends that you want to get involved in bitcoin, just have it so when their system starts up everything goes into the background and starts mining into their account.  Then they wouldn't even have to worry about turning it on and off..  always looking for newb friendly apps.  Too bad gpus are dieing.
536  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, NEW: BFL and Icarus FPGAs supported) on: May 29, 2013, 09:54:36 PM
Good work Dr.  Thanks for making this miner/pool!

Happens now and then for a few minutes at a time, I don't even notice anymore Smiley

540  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] International Speculative Chip Buy on: May 29, 2013, 06:14:55 PM
Will a chip in the hand be worth two on the factory floor?

Even with just a 50% markup it's an incredible opportunity.
I'm in the works with John, about to have him confirm my identity, at the moment to establish escrow for the chip buy.
Do not send money yet.  I will give an address as soon as the process is underway.

ASIC stands for Application Specific Integrated Circuit.  These particular chips we will buy are the backbone of the DIY and start-up miner businesses.  The need for these chips at the moment is tremendous, and we would be doing a service to the community to get more out into the public.

Many people haven't gotten involved in mining because
A.  They see that the difficulty rising makes it questionable whether or not it will even be worth it.
B.  Not interested in technical processes.
C.  Can't buy in at a large enough rate to make it worthwhile.

This chip buy in would allow you to overcome all of these problems, while still getting your BTC to work for you!

Each share costs .1BTC
I will handle sales while you sit back and watch the dividend grow.  Profits to be evenly paid out at the end.  There will be cash out options once the chips are delivered, for those who just want cheap chips.

More details to be announced soon, PM or state in thread how many shares you will be interested in.

Have a good one,
FCTaiChi
