MR preacher, how do you inform people of endangering themselves out there with some links I ain't even sure they not crap?..  even though they ain't scammy links, is that how to preserve your anonymity?
It'll actually be nice to know users in person - but just imagine being entangled on one that'd possibly wreck you?.. I seen a couple of scholarship ads on Twitter, just to end up on a site I couldn't even comprehend.

I don't think, you read all through the replies of this post before writing this because you would have seen, that I apologise for not making it known to others that there are some third party sites among my list.

Anyway now its clear to everyone since I just edited the post, it's up to users now to choose if they want to be redirect to a third party site

523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 02, 2024, 12:37:22 PM
There is an high risk involve and its somehow similar to getting loan with interest but except that here, you don't pay the interest fee if you lose instead, pay back the loan amount and you share the profit if you win, while this may seem okay but there's still chances that sometimes the profit sharing is bigger than the interest and also these clients will have to consider or state how the profit would be shared.

Only few people would be interested in this offer, since giving loan with interest gives them surety of earning more when their money return while this offer will give them surety of getting their money back at least without no interest since we know the risk in gambling, there are more likely chances of lost which will lead to profit sharing than wins.
524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for acquiring bitcoins. on: February 01, 2024, 03:56:04 PM
What is the essence of buying and hodling Bitcoin like is it to accumulate it till it attains ATH then we sell it off and wait for a dip and start buying and holdling again or just accumulate it and start using it as a digital means of exchange or are we going to continue till the 21 million Bitcoins have be mined, already 19 millions have been mined remaining 2 million because overtime, i have come across several topics about buy and hodl bitcoin so i actually wish to know the sole objective of acquiring bitcoins.
The truth is there is no main objective of Acquiring bitcoin, everyone has their reason for getting bitcoin since people have different views of Bitcoin while the most common : as a store of value and a means of financial freedom.

HODLing bitcoin, doesn't means we have to buy and wait for the next ATH before we sell, it's the HODLing plans that matters, some bitcoin investors have been Hodling bitcoin even before the previous ATH and didn't sell some or or of their bitcoin after the ATH because they have a objectives which they set when acquiring and HODLing bitcoin.
Others don't also buy bitcoin only during dip period, they buy anytime through using DCA strategy, though this is not profitable as buying during the dip but is a way they can accumulate the amount of bitcoin they aim to have because in the it will be profitable for them.

After the 21 million bitcoins has been mined, we can still Hodl bitcoin since bitcoin is not a stable coin, its price will continue to fluctuate.

I believe this was done by a mistake?

525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there Casinos that offer Birthday Bonuses to their users? on: February 01, 2024, 01:04:59 PM
This incident caused  me to begin to wonder is there are any online casinos that actually celebrate their user's birthday by giving them such bonus on their birthday?
I am interested to know if there be any casino like that?
There are over 8 billion people in the world and there are 365 days in a year. For each of this 365days in a year, there are humans who have their birthdays every day. Casion is a business and casinos have to stay profitable. If a casino has a birthday bonus for customers, they are going to run out of business within a month. In fact that will be a stupid promotional and marketing strategy.

I like that the casinos recognize and celebrated the birthday of their employee in a special way. There will be increase in work satisfaction and motivation to work from their employees. They also watch it that it doesn't spur gambling addiction in their staff,
I think they will be other casino offering such bonuses even aside Stake and BK8.
Casino will not go bankrupt because of this not every users will be eligible to receive this bonus, even after Kyc and this bonus may come with some terms and conditions that will not allow users to redeem the money without placing bet while others will win and earn more but alot of others will also lost their bonus though still yet this will make such users continue to use such casino, since alot of individuals loves those customers treatment at special occasions like birthday
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 01, 2024, 12:51:09 PM
Unfortunately the match against Liverpool was very poorly played by Chelsea. The first half it felt like there was only one team on the pitch - Liverpool and if Nunez had converted the penalty in the first half, the score would have been 3-0 in the first half and everything would have ended worse for Chesley than the final 4-1. In general, quite interesting games at Chelsea alternate with failed ones. In the game it was unclear what Chelsea are going to win, but Liverpool on the contrary showed what he is capable of in attack and if Nunez was more accurate, he would have scored 2-3 goals, but even without his goals Liverpool could win very easily

I already know that nothing good will come out of Chelsea even before the game started, i just wanted to give Chelsea the benefit of doubt even with all the players they bought Chelsea still got fucked I was hoping to see them winning Liverpool even without salah and just to see that just 23 minutes of the game Liverpool have already scored there first goal I already know, this is funny like I have never see a club pressuring another club with 13 shots on target  Grin Grin and C. Bradley given two assist and I was surprised that Liverpool will perform well even without Salah. and the game would have ended worst for Chelsea.  and now Chelsea have give too much opportunity to Liverpool but even with the win, Manchester city will still win the premier league.
Where Chelsea play Against Liverpool how they can win against time like that. Chelsea trying in very active process but doesn’t work there effort too much. Liverpool got another 3 point and make them for strong for 1st position of point table. Man city and Arsenal now in same point and both team are less then 5 point of Liverpool. so this two team now need more 5 point to overtake Liverpool. and Chelsea still on 10th position and i Don't think they can overtake 7th position with  these such a slow performance
I'm beginning to doubt Chelsea's big-game strategy. Their struggle against Liverpool confirmed my suspicions that they're missing something important this season. Strategy matters, and they're lost. They cant compete with top-tier clubs, which disappoints fans. Liverpool keeps improving, and Chelsea's performance isnt closing the gap.

If things dont improve soon, Chelsea may stay in the mid-table. Their threat to Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal is negligible. Though difficult to accept, at this rate, overtaking the 7th spot seems impossible. This season will be another letdown unless we see a major turnaround.
In this match Liverpool were incredibly good and Chelsea just fell apart in the first half, it was obvious that no one expected that Liverpool will play so aggressively and almost no chance for Chelsea in attack. I don't remember Chelsea having any scoring chances in the first half, but the fact that they managed to pull themselves together and get one goal back in the second half gives me cautious optimism, but overall Chelsea really don't play well against top teams.

If at the end of the season Chelsea will take 7th place it will not be so bad, the competition in the EPL this season is huge - Liverpool, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City are contenders for the championship, and next to Tottenham and Newcastle, so the 7th place is even can be considered as a good luck while the management gives Pocchetino to work in peace and it is right, because the second season as last year Chelsea may not survive.
Chelsea match was actually disappointing and I thank God, I did not watch such an annoying match, imagine seeing your team being trash like that.

Chelsea defence was literally bad yesterday, Badiashile seems more likely of becoming worst in every game since his return from injury and while his peering with Silva before yesterday was disappointing, the midfield are far from their best while the attack as always been disappointing and I guess Poch is still has to be blamed from all this, I guess the only positive thing from the match was from the fact that Nkunku is back and Petrovic performance yesterday. Though I think Chelsea will finish 9 or 10 but my biggest stress is me thinking might not be the right man to build Chelsea because as it seems now, He lacks strategy

Naija economy don bad tire and as things tel dey go on now, be like say things go still worst, we just dey on God now.

As all these things dey happen, na security for naija dey cast more, only for January, we know how many Kidnapping stories we don hear, so tel people don dey say we dey face kidnapping epidemic, but nor be only this one dey happen now, car jacking still dey go on, robbery, ritual and selling of human parts dey go on.

My reason for this post, na to make us know say as economy dey tough, na so security dey suffer bcos people way nor dey work or way nor fit feed again bcos of price of food or all those yahoo boys way nor see money tel ball, go find other ways to get money even if na to thief or kill they nor send again.

For this reason make we try dey cautious of our environment every where we go or who we dey trust or cars/transport services way we dey enter and also avoid night walker and dey make sure say another person know were you dey go. Above all, make we dey try dey live low key, way people nor go put eye for our body bcos we nor know watin people dey think for mind and make we dey cautious of who we dey tell our success stories to also.

529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: This not the right time to focus on trading on: January 31, 2024, 08:06:48 AM

But still I won't say trading is bad but before going into it. try and gather proper knowledge about it and learn how to manage risk and always try to improve your skills in trading, and focus Your spare funds in trading and keep most in holding and also don't forget about your emergency funds that is also vital. Wish you all the best as we wait patiently for the greens.
Trading is not bad indeed but one thing most traders fail to consider well after all their analysis, is the risk management and this is among the main reason people lost alot in trading especially when greed cripes in.

Traders see the wins of other traders and fact is that most of such wins comes from trading altcoins and so they will be prompted to trade that same coin or look for other altcoins with such potential in order to make such inspiring big wins for themselves but in the end many will be liquidated, the reason for this is that, these big traders can easily manipulate the market with different which include :
  • Pumps and dump Schemes
  • Creating false buying/selling order
  • creating false trading volumes
Don't be surprised why they do this, trading is a 2 edged sword, you win or lose and so in order to avoid taking chances of lost, they manipulate the market and get the wins while others take the lost and while manipulating bitcoin price and volume is almost to impossible because of its circulation now, this can't be said for most altcoins and this is the main reason they prefer to do this schemes with altcoins.

Assuming you learnt FX properly on how to manage your lot price and other risk factor and study the market properly maybe you would have become a good trader by now. But in real sense, I love Bitcoin holding than trading because trading look more like gambling.
This is so true but the factor that still affects traders even after they this things is that in order to become successful in trading you need good capital so that you will be content with you earn and not trying to use high leverages because growing small account is stressing and tiring and so greed cripes in which makes you lost your funds.

This is another reason HODLing bitcoin is better since you can use DCA strategy to accumulate more bitcoins with time

Ivory Coast had other plans today and am wondering where they were all this long... Senegal have been forced to play extra time from a winning position thanks to some clumsy goal keeping from Mendy which called for a VaR review and Hosts got a late minute penalty.

And from what I can see, Senegalese players look tired and have nothing more to give and hoping the script won't be an exit for the defending champions...

Let's go team Mane, show us why you were crowned Champions 🥳
I know that Senegalese will be sad at this moment but I am somehow happy that they have exited this year African Cup of nation's competition. I am not an ivorian rather I am a Nigerian but I am seeing Senegal as a big threat to the success of Nigeria in this tournament that is why I was so prayerful that Senegal should be eliminated.

Now that the defending champions are out of the competition I think Nigeria is able to face the rest of the countries that are still in the tournament. But at a point I was somehow pitiful at Mane because I so much love his nature as a true African man. But then I have nothing to do because I cannot love him more than Victor osimhen.

Truly indeed I'm happy Egypt, Senegal, Algeria and Cameroon are out but the main issue is now Morocco who has really been excellent especially since the last World Cup but I will not write off any team, Nigeria should be cautious and give their in match in order to win and hope the keeper injury wasn't serious because we  can't to Uzoho, I always wonder why they continue to pick him.

Though I actually thought Senegal would win the  game after their early goal and especially since they have been playing well in this Afcon but Ivory Coast ended up winners in the penalty shoot-out, now let's see how far Ivory Coast can go, I guess we can call them the underdog base on their form in this Afcon
532  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto exchanges license difficulty in Nigeria on: January 29, 2024, 11:11:46 PM
I wonder weda Patricia, dat Nigerian exchange wey dem hack last year, weda dem pay dis 500m before dem start business? Because if dem pay am down, dem suppose don balance investors dem money finish, although I hear say dem wan do am in batches.
I don't think Ceo of Patricia ever had this amount of money when he started his exchange, since it all started as most of our local crypto vendors and then move to social media and then to were it is before the hack.

If someone or group of people that wants to establish an exchange in Nigeria do not have up to that amount of money, did you think that exchange would be secure enough? There are people that would be employed for security purposes and also that to setup an exchange these days would require huge amount of money. I do not know if these people that are complaining are right or wrong. So you have anything to post about this? How much in naira do you think can be a good startup for new exchanges in Nigeria?
As still stands now I won't trust any CEX even if they claim to be secured except they have at least a reasonable amount for reserve and with time as these exchanges increases/expand then the Nigeria Sec should set a rule that would make these exchanges increase their reserved money incase of hacks, just we have seen In CEX shut down from hack or other issues while this approach will help secure some reasonable amount of funds for customers incase such ever faces any issues to make them shutdown or hack, customers are usually the ones to take the actual lost when any of these happens while some CEX try to pay them all or some of their money with time others don't even bother.

The rule may seems hard but its better for CEX after everything we have experience from them.

learning about bitcoin technical is something that I find super exciting and awesome too but is not an easy task because most of my friends in this crypto space don't really understand the technical part about BTC so I wanted to learn it so that any time they are facing any issues I can be of help to them and they can call on me like captain Marvel
This is thoughtful of you, the truth is I'm also learning about the technical aspects of Bitcoin but I have not been consistent especially now, that I'm having alot to do at the moment but will be back soon.
Here is a proper beginners guide to start learning about bitcoin.

Here's the knowledge iceberg, IMO:

Level 0: Start off by visiting bitcoin.org.
Level 1: Learn me a bitcoin: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/.
Level 2: Mastering bitcoin: https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook.
Level 3: Ask questions in here and in StackExchange. Also, study the devguide.

535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 28, 2024, 04:21:26 PM
There are those in the crypto world who see many such scammers' tactics, as a result of which crypto users have to be careful enough to stay safe from these scams. The websites we share our personal information with and expect to keep our information safe, but it turns out to be a misconception because they never provide proper security to our personal information, thereby leaving our personal information in the hands of scammers. So scammers use that information to create new strategies every time to scam.
exactly and while they may be trying to be true to their words their third party may just don`t bother who they sell such data to or fall into hack. It is actually hard to be free from all these data breach but that won`t stop one for not being extra cautious at least it limits risk especially to phishing scam, if you are privacy and security cautious and constantly updated about them
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 27, 2024, 09:07:55 PM
Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool at a time when Liverpool was at the top of the standings and I saw that it was a very unexpected decision, I didn't expect him not to wait until this season was over, reportedly Moh Salah will follow in his footsteps leaving Liverpool, this is really a hard blow for  liverpool.
Liverpool was not expecting to hear such announcement as this at this time and I think it was a surprise to them just as it came as a surprise to the fans and also other supporters of the team, I'm sure even the management will aswell have a fair share of their own surprise too.

Klops has done well taking the team to the top of the premier league and also getting them through to the round of sixteen at the Europa competition so making this announcement having gone this far already with the team isn't a bad one but a preparation to their mind about what to expect by the end of the season, there will never be a better time than any time he informs them, I feel if he had informed them at the end of the season it wouldn't make any difference as Informing them as at this time too.
This actually came as a surprise to everyone with this news I don't think Liverpool will slack off in getting the league title and also Europa league trophy, Klopp is loved by all there especially the team and fans, and the team will do everything to get this trophy and if its possible get the treble.

It's a shame that a manager like Jurgen Klopp had to end his journey at Liverpool, even though he was the person who made Liverpool emerge from their dark ages. Whatever he chooses, of course it will not be an easy choice considering he has fond memories of Liverpool over the past few seasons.

Since the announcement, we have even heard rumors about Liverpool's future manager, there are 7 strong candidates who will handle it, including:

- Steven G
- Thomas Frank
- Xabi
- De Zerbi
- Nagelsmann
- Pep Lijnders
- Xavi

If this rumor becomes true in the future, which manager do you think is more suitable to manage Liverpool?
Steven Gerrard? Lol knock it off truly. Steven Gerrard is no fit to be the next manager of Liverpool. Remember how he flopped for Aston Villa? I won't recommend him for that job Jurgen Klopp has done lots for that club, they need a good replacement to continue his good works.

Xabi Alonso has been a good target but nothing yet to verify he'll move to his former club. De Zebri Roberto included, they're the both names on top of the list of managers who will replace Klopp!

Nagelsmann? That I cannot say! Xavi Hernandez? He has pressing matters to attend too for Barcelona.

We have the same view here, I also think that there is no manager worthy of handling Liverpool apart from Xabi Alonso and De Zerbi, both of whom have good reputations at the clubs they each manage (Xabi with Bayer Leverkusen and De Zerbi with Brighton ).

Then, if we narrow down these two candidates again, who do you think is more appropriate? For me, the choice should fall on De Zerbi and not without reason, we know De Zerbi handles Brighton which is a team in the PL, which means De Zerbi has more experience than Xabi Alonso.

Slightly Nagelsmann but he'll have to settle down a year or two before he adapts fully to the club and the Premier League Competition comfortably.

Xabi Alonso would be snatched by Bayern Munich in no time if he continues with this high standards and performance for Bayern Leverkusen. This is something they've rumoured for quite sometime now, they're rumoured to let go of Thomas Tuchel since Real Madrid failed to capitalize the opportunity.

Xabi Alonso could manage Liverpool though but that would mean, some names like Salah, Arnold and Van Dirk all would not want to stay because they'll definitely leave for good. De Zebri is a tactician and he's most likely to succeed. Players Innit are also young lads.
I guess according to the list Nagelsmann would be their best bet since that guy did well with Bayern and Rb liepzig, though he was fired from Bayern but still yet we can she did a pretty good job there and base on his stat it was amazing.

Xabi Alonso won't be leaving Bayern Leverkusen at least not now and I don't he would be coming to Liverpool even if he do, since I guess he will just continue to build his team and himself in bayern Leverkusen and when the time is right to move to Real Madrid, he will do just that.

Xavi is totally not needed in Liverpool squad and I don't think he is the type of coach to replace Klopp or fit Liverpool. Xavi still have alot today at Barcelona and I don't think they will let him go or fire him except they have a trusted replacement for him and I don't think such is available for Barcelona and even if he is available the money to get things done will just make them remain with Xavi
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hey Gamblers, Here's Some Questions for you. Would Love your Responses on them on: January 27, 2024, 08:40:44 PM
1. What's the most effective method for discovering a new online casino when you're seeking a change from your usual options?
I usually explore Bitcointalk forum or get recommendations from friends, since both ways is the best and easiest way to get reliable reviews.

Quote
2. How would you describe your overall satisfaction with any of the mentioned options?
I'm literally satisfied with my two approaches on picking an online casino, the chance of getting a bad one are slim and I have not even gotten any bad one now

Quote
3. Would you recommend a beginner to follow a similar approach based on your personal experiences?
Yes, since it's basically the most reliable to me and I believe everyone will support it.

Quote
4. In your opinion, should online casinos adopt corporate social responsibility practices? If yes, what specific initiatives would you like to see them undertake? If no, what is your reasoning behind it?
yes, it actually shows they care about their customers well beings and this would make the society to have a better view and even more trust on the casino, which will make it a common place for gamblers and also keep running for long

As Nwada001 talk bitcoin nor go just raise after halving but with time maybe before the ending of the year or 2025.
New projects dem carry risks, some na scam others no fit last while some go last and give better ROI. Di question now be say to minimize di risk of loses, weda e go good to sale some ROI from Bitcoin to buy dis new projects? So if we gain e go be plus, if we lose, e no go too affect us, based on say na profit money we take buy dem.
The truth be say this idea nor bad sha but just know say na gamble you wan gamble with your money and even say na profit money, the thing fit pain you if you lost m bcos na front person dey do go and nor be back.

If you choose to take the risk, make sure say the profit money way you carry for m, nor big to you, so that you nor go cor dey regret in the end later and also if e go well nor cor go let greed make you regret y u nor use bigger money in case of next time
