521  Economy / Economics / Re: IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY OF A PRICE REDUCTION FOR FUTURE BITCOIN on: September 23, 2017, 03:28:06 PM
It's hard to say. If we knew that we would all be rich. I do believe that the concept of crypto currency will not go away, and we will have a decentralized  virtual currency in the future. I hope it's bitcoin, and if nothing really bad happens it should be it, and the price will rise a lot. If a new coin comes along, or if something really bad happens and the community loses trust, then BTC will go to zero. Blockchain is amazing, and bitcoin should continue to rise with it. It's value is due to it's potential and the trust it provides for the community. Right now I would put my money on it, and I think the price will rise a lot more.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon bashes Bitcoin again on: September 22, 2017, 05:55:31 PM
Well he could be right about governments. They definitely like to keep their money close, and want to know where it comes from and where it goes, and bitcoin causes a very big problem for them, so if it gets to big they will act. The thing is, unless you live in a very strict country, I don't think they will say it is illegal. But take a look to Venezuela, where mining is not even illegal, and they are still chased by the police.
So for me, most countries will find other ways to collect taxes from it. Japan is doing a fine job in using bitcoins, so maybe the majority of the world will be able to act like them.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switch to BTC from LTC? on: September 22, 2017, 05:34:18 PM
Any ones are investing in litecoin for higher price in long time? I am thinking to move to btc instead of keeping my ltc? I bought ltc at $80 Sad(

I would say keep both. They are tied together, and if one has success I think the other will follow. Many say LTC is like silver and BTC is like gold. They use this analogy to compare both values. So of course investing in BTC is better, but I don't think LTC will ever lose it's value. So if everyone is waiting for BTC to reach $500k then LTC won't stay in $80 for sure.
524  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-20] China Should Create Its Own Cryptocurrency ‘As Soon as Possible’ on: September 22, 2017, 05:23:25 PM
They could create it, and it could be very practical and even used all around the world. The thing is, if it is backed by the government and a central bank, the it's centralized, so it's not bitcoin, also if it is not scarce it will work just like fiat, and they can just make more out of thin air, so it will have the same problems paper money has, and again it wont be like bitcoin.
525  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTS BOOK RANKINGS ~ COMPLETELY USER GENERATED on: September 22, 2017, 05:07:10 PM
it's a nice website and improved slightly not like when the interface web design lagged previously. but still the odds really poor, they also have got several accusations . some got resolved and the rest just stalled. i don't really want give them a rating more than 2 out of 5. so yeah i personally give them 2.0 . deposit and withdrawal are a sensitive things.

Never tried sportsbet.io, but I also heard a lot of complains about them, so it's hard for me to risk my money there. I'm quite curious about stake.gg, have anyone tried it yet? I like exchanges, and right now the only one I use sometimes is fairlay.com. Stake.gg is specialized in e-sports, and I like those markets, but they are still very fresh to me, so I haven't tried them yet.
526  Economy / Gambling / Re: Reputable crypto betting websites that allow you to bet on esports? on: September 22, 2017, 05:00:33 PM
The only ones I know right now are nitrogensports, stake.gg and fairlay.com. Since you asked for reputable I'm not sure if I can recommend you stake.gg. Not saying there is anything wrong with this site, the only problem for me, is that I only recently got to know it, so I still need to wait a little longer and see how users rate it. The other two are here for long, and normally have good feedback so I think you should be fine on either of those two.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: September 21, 2017, 08:35:04 PM
Are you picky with ICOs?

You just have to be, otherwise you are on a road to bankruptcy. There are som many ICOs popping up with no real value, that will just work as a sponge to get your coins. You need to see what the team behind the ICO is, you need to read their white paper, you need to see if the problem they are trying to address makes any sense, you need to see how they are planning on distributing the coins, you need to see what their plans for the future are, and if they are realistic. And trust me, even with all of that, you will lose money eventually.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PREDICTION THREAD! LCS North America on: September 21, 2017, 08:30:53 PM
Only saw this thread now, but better late that not see it at all. I«m glad you make a LoL prediction thread, because I just love this game. I don't really care much about Dota, but this is something I play and sometimes bet as well. I will follow this thread closely now.
529  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why has no fiat casino adopted provably fair gambling? on: September 21, 2017, 08:27:11 PM
Which do you guys think is safer ? Fiat or crypto ? I have no idea but I guess I lean towards crypto being safer because if the blockchain. How exactly do fiat casinos prove they legit and fair ? Crypto uses blockchain then what does fiat use ? Anyone know ?

Basically there are variables. Yes for crypto you got provably fair and hashed seeds. However keep in mind there is no guarantee that the money you will you will be able to withdraw later.

With fiat physical casinos there are regulations in play. At least in most first world nations.

I think those are definitely key points here. You normally already trust a casino, specially a land casino, but also big online brands as well, because you know they are heavy regulated, and your money should be safe there. On crypto casinos, users are normally so afraid that they could be scammed, that they need to at least demand provably fair games.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: South Africa's Super market started accepting bitcoin on: September 21, 2017, 08:22:46 PM
Also read the news saying that they are not planning to actually implement this in the short run, but it's definitely good to see that they did it, and that their consider it was quite a positive test. From what I read, they will not adopt BTC right now as a normal payment method, because crypto is still not regulated, and not because the test went wrong.
This proves that using BTC to buy goods is viable, and merchants are interested in doing it. So if they get regulated everything will work just fine.
531  Economy / Economics / Re: South Africa's Super market started accepting bitcoin on: September 20, 2017, 12:34:21 PM
Those are some good news, because we definitely need some support from merchants. If people see that they can use bitcoins to buy goods, then they will start giving more value to bitcoin. As it becomes more desirable, it's price will increase. I think all of this will be much easier once the lightning network gets implemented, because the transactions will be faster, and the fees will be lower. You can already use crypto debit cards, but that is just a commode way of exchanging BTC to fiat, and what I would really like to see, is a way of actually spending BTC to directly acquire goods, and that the merchants would actually keep those coins and wouldn't only accept them in order to trade it for fiat. But that is something that will take many years for sure.
532  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - Can it boost or break a countries economy? on: September 19, 2017, 09:27:52 PM
I think if governments fail to regulate bitcoin, it will certainly disrupt the society and the economy as we know it. I don't think anyone want's that. There is no real advantage in complete chaos. I think we will find a middle term, and bitcoin will actually make the world a more balanced place. So if governments and people don't become to greedy, everything will be fine.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the China FUD over ? on: September 19, 2017, 09:23:54 PM

Can more china FUD affect crypto prices  ?

I don't think it's over yet. The effects on the ban on ICO's and exchanges will not affect the market any further, even with the upcoming news that they are planning to ban the access of their citizens to foreign exchanges. What could still affect the markets, are the rumors on their possible fight vs miners, since that would be an obvious fight against BTC, but I don't think they will go that way.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 19, 2017, 09:20:29 PM
Great game between Barcelona and Eibar, with so many goals in a short period of time. Spanish football at his best. I don't think these teams will slow down, and I will go for at least two more goals.

As for tomorrow my money will go for Real and Sevilha. Real Madrid can't lose games, and I think Sevilha is in great form and will win their game, even vs a hard opponent like Las Palmas. I will also go for over 2.5 on Sevlha's game.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 19, 2017, 09:12:31 PM
Poor game from Inter today, and I don't even think that was a real penalty. Their last games were so much better than this one. I was really hoping that this season they wouldn't be so irregular like the past seasons. I would like to see them really competing again for the Serie A title. Let's see what they will be able to do next game, but titles are not won with these exhibitions.

I going for a straight win on Juve for tomorrow, because they definitely want to take that lead, that belongs to them. Another interesting game will be between Lazio and Napoli. Lazio is in great form and although Napoli is the favorite, I will risk a home or draw for Lazio, because I think they are playing great football.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 18, 2017, 12:46:36 PM

Yes I hope he will be back to his personal best anytime soon and reclaim his position in the team. I don't think he's done just yet as people have started speculating, rather he can really do well if given the chance to prove himself again.

He is definitely no done yet, but he had problems with injuries in the past, and he is just dealing with the pressure that all competitive top level players have to face. They just can't take enough time to properly recover, otherwise it might be to late for them, because someone else might take their place. So they end up compromising recovery in order to be able to continue to play, and in some cases that will mean the end of their career. I hope this will not be the case of Bale.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker on: September 18, 2017, 12:38:05 PM
I think we all face the same problem when it comes to poker. There aren't enough players on the poker sites that use bitcoin. I don't really understand why, because poker is a popular game among gamblers. In my opinion is because of the fear of collusion. Anonymity is valued by the bitcoin community and that doesn't work very well with poker. How can you prevent collusion, if the site can't make sure that they don't have alts on the same table.

I think this will always be a problem, and we will always lack poker players playing with bitcoin, unless they identity verification.
As for where to play, I used to do it at betcoin.ag, because it had a bigger player base than the others, but I don't do it anymore, because of the problems I've mentioned.
538  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you buy Bitcoin? New Poll - September 15th on: September 17, 2017, 02:48:35 PM
Right now, I think if we ever get it around $3300 is a good price because I don't really think it will get any lower than that. Of course I'm saying this, if nothing new happens. The price already adjusted to the ICOs ban and also to the suspension of exchanges, so those news will no longer affect the price, and it should start rising again. It should be a slow rise of course, because many are still waiting to see what China will do next, and we all believe that these measures were only temporary.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: September 17, 2017, 02:37:06 PM
Lets see if PSG will again be that no brain bet they used to be if we ignore last season. No defeats so far, and all their 5 wins were very consistent to say the least, since their "worst" win was a 2-0 vs Amiens. Of course Lyon is a decent team but I don't think they will have a chance. I will go for PSG win and over 2.5.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 17, 2017, 02:31:08 PM
I think I will put some coins on Lazio today, because despite that first draw vs Spal, they seem to be playing well and are having some good wins both in Serie A and Europa League. Their last two wins vs AC Milan and Vitesse shows how good they are, and I'm confidant on a win today. On the other hand Genoa is doing poorly right now, so it should be a nice bet.
