I take it you can't help me solve this issue?  Its affecting a lot of miners - whats the solution?  Pay up or be damned for all eternity in the mempool - or live with an unspendable balance?
The only solution I found that really works is to increase your hash rate so income per-block goes up to stay well ahead of the fees needed to consolidate them. Of course that is like getting hooked on crack.
Feb 2014 started with a couple lil' BFL Jala's running 10GHs each 'just for fun'   and spent most of the time on EMC until they finally shut down, now currently up to 239THs here....
Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

CRACK got you too?

Other than looking here, how does someone know if they hit a block?
(I know they could check their address at blockchain, I mean is there any other way?)

If you are using Windows you get a popup if your wallet is open, and there is no better feeling than seeing that little window!!

Which application is it for windows?

If you have iphone you can download the CK Pool app, and when solo block is hit a notification with address is shown.

How loud are these things?

This might be a stupid question. It how quiet are these? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to atx psus for my home mine. Trouble is it's currently located under my desk.

Not a stupid question at all.  The answer:  Stupid loud  Undecided

It would be crazy awesome if you were the one to crack that 1500 block  Grin
529  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Eth mining rig (175 H/s - 6x RX 480) on: May 09, 2017, 05:57:00 AM
Located in Beaverton, Oregon.

Testing the waters.  Open to offers, but looking for $1850 shipped.  Everything in pristine shape.  More info / pics, send me a PM.

- 6x XFX Black Edition RX 480 8GB GPUs
- Intel G3320
- ASRock H81 Pro
- 8GB RAM
- 120GB PNY SSD
- 1300W EVGA PSU
- custom black frame

It's running ethOS, but I can switch it to whatever OS you want.  I'd recommend ethOS, runs like a beast.
Takes about 870w at the wall, give or take 10w.

Has anyone dealt with this POS?!  he burned me out of 1.5 BTC
looking for his address/email? name is something like  Max Greenfeld from Beaverton Oregon
any help would prob get some BTC sent your way.
Thank you

Looks like this is maxg info.  <--snip--> was selling ether equipment on another thread

Altough i agree that nobody deserves to be scammed, you should be carefull posting private info on a public forum...

If it turns out the person you mentioned in the previous post lost his account due to hacking or something, and it was the hacker that scammed you, the original owner might take legal action agains you for doxxing him (unless you got his info from a public page)

Yup got his info from this public forum, nothing private about it

if you do decide to make the pplns pool, around when would it be up and running?
I'm going away for a few weeks so won't really be working on it in earnest for about 3 weeks (if I go ahead). So likely it's at least a month away still. I have had interest from people out of the forum thread so it's more likely to happen now.

When it's ready, I'll pump 100Th into it. 👍🏽
538  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo segwit mining USA/DE 229 blocks solved! on: March 31, 2017, 02:10:05 AM
I'd like to see a hybrid solomining pool, where you get your fee for running the pool, the block finder gets 50% and the rest is distributed to the other miners.

Im with P2P on that, 50% to block finder and distribute rest, plus your .5% plus the usual donation from block finder lol.
If you put half your hashrate in a solo pool and half in a pplns pool then over the (very) long term you achieve the same thing and I suspect the vast majority of miners wouldn't want that scheme you're requesting (though I could be wrong.)
true, but the pool you're talking about making is pplns with coinbase payouts, which I really like, but I also like solomining.

If I make a coinbase payout pplns pool you can split your hashrate however you like between my 2 pools Wink

Sounds good but is it doable? is the main question, and what would xtra cost be on top of dedicating the server to such a pool?

Cost to whom, me? Code time. I wouldn't have time to start on it for a few weeks anyway but I wanted the idea to get out there and get aired

But wont you have to dedicate a server for such a pool,  and bandwidth?

I'm happy to shelve the idea if interest is low (there are plenty of other ideas I've thought up but never tackled.)

shoot out some other ideas lets get them on the shelf

But if most of the miners are not big riggers like myself, wanna chance it on a pool that is basically solo, but will have some kind of reward if a block is hit would keep me mining on it.   lets just say the pool block finder gets 50% of block and rest is split by hashrate of course, im totally cool with that,  if a miner does not want to share his pool then he/she can stay on solo pool and chance it.

Sounds good but is it doable? is the main question, and what would xtra cost be on top of dedicating the server to such a pool?
