521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy_rabbit says TRC will succeed where LTC failed on: January 27, 2013, 08:18:21 PM
I don't get it. Is crazy_rabbit the guy that made TRC or what?

I don't really know anything about TRC other than it is the same as Bitcoin.

Says the guy who made the phantom coin
PLEASE!

crazy rabit has to apologize for nothing, he just said his opinion/point of view as anyone has the right to do, freely
and smoothie, yes your previous question was pure trolling
like "Whats the difference between water and lemonade, if we exclude the lemon juice, the sugar and the different bottle?"

Some people just feel fear about their coins, or think there is an active coin war and they have to choose/defend a coin.

Some days later we may see another coin, BCC (BullCrapCoin) and everyone will start bitch about. Pointless? Yes.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain-based torrent tracker? on: January 26, 2013, 12:15:01 PM
then everyone who has the blockchain on their hard drive would be considered criminal (where torrents are illegal)

nethead, blockchain.info My Wallet has a limit of 400 private keys in each wallet. That's probably an important detail to keep in mind.
I would need 10 or more My Wallet accounts to be able to import my 15MB wallet.dat with 4000+ addresses.
OP says his wallet.dat is 1GB in size.

Didnt know that, and didnt see the 1gb part, sorry from my side.

528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [10 btc reward] protocol, wallet and client version mismatch errors on: January 24, 2013, 11:52:26 PM
Ideas i got:

1. import your wallet.dat to blockchain, and extract it from there (maybe it will fix it)
2. There is a program somewhere around here, that extracts the private keys from the wallet.dat file (and then you import them to the other wallet)
3. I tried googling how to get private keys from old wallet, and got manyyy results, i think you will too  Tongue

Hope i helped a little, and even a little part of those 10 btc would make me very happy Smiley

(im trying to find the program name)

EDIT: blockchain.info can also hand you your private keys after you imported the wallet.dat

Hey mskwik, would it be possible to show historical stats like SatoshiDice does for recent bets, big wins, rare wins, etc?

Stats as in aggregate stats like the Satoshi Dice thread in the technical section here or more a list like on the Satoshi Dice site itself?  The recent bets would be the list it shows now, I could add lists for recent big/rare wins fairly easily.  I suppose aggregate stats wouldn't be too hard either, the only thing I would worry about there would be if/how to include affiliate addresses.

hmm... if you do it then im stopping the development of http://dice.spore.gr (frontend for your dice script - getting the data from your server)
which was going to canio Tongue

Ah, that's a good point as well, that sort of statistics is something else that affiliates can use to add value to their own particular play addresses beyond just look/marketing.  Generally I would prefer to concentrate on keeping things running smoothly and leave the marketing to the affiliate system for affiliates to earn their share.  I do like the way that page is looking so far, perhaps for now I'll stick with just basic information that can't be calculated otherwise on the output pages and if you come up with something that can't be figured out with the existing data given I can see about adding it to the output across the board.

Great then, i will go on. Hmm one thing that could be usefull for me and any other that tries to make a frontend is having table names or ids (eg "t1" and "t2") and ids or names also on the addresses/games <td>'s (eg "g1" "g2" etc). Even if you dont add id's or names to those objects still can be done, the hard way (for me). I will make the statistics by logging and re-reading your output(2nd table) page, there is no problem.

EDIT: (if you add id's please pm me  Cool )
EDIT: k, no need for that Wink

Anyone can suggest an easy cpu LTC miner software then?

minerd, cgminer, reaper, or for simplicity the litecoin-qt (solo is ok, for pool needs minerd in same directory as litecoin-qt) Smiley
(also, antivirus software will alert you for minerd.exe but ignore it)

good day  Cool
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] RuCoin - Russian alternate cryptocurrency - exchange is up already! on: January 20, 2013, 03:50:20 AM
Damn shame too, I liked RUCoin...

yup RUCoin was the same as TRC.

Start mining the new block chain and release it two weeks later publicly and call it a fair network and distribution of coins. lol

 Tongue

lol come on, nothing in this world is fair...
and is there any chance that by trc you mean frc? Grin

addition:

I mined it for a few minutes to test something, what i have to tell about it is that its a wierd coin, which has a wierd gui WITH an area that shows blocks information and an even more wierd RUChat (  Huh  ) (yup, chat in the wallet...)
some blocks are SCRYPT and some others are SHA256D  Huh Huh Huh
so it can be mined by all miners..

EDIT: K, to let everyone know btc-e support replied that it will be fixed by/on feb-1
