522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I hope all this alt-con FUD, doesn't kill good ideas... on: May 20, 2013, 06:55:34 AM
Well, first i have seen some good ideas trough this coins, the rewards on ELAcoin, the "new" sCrypt on YAK, and some other ideas i wish that won't be left behind when all this fud pass away, like the fud maded some years ago with Tane, Fair, and other coins...

So keep getting all the good ideas, maybe you will hit a real competitor for ltc, even btc...
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] YACoin ongoing development - Unofficial client fork on: May 20, 2013, 06:49:16 AM
I compiled a version of win64 from windmaster's git branch, if you have 64-bit windows installed, you can try it.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/hnindev/files/yacoin-qt-0.4.0.0-g32a928e-winx64.zip

Thanks

526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MC2 ("Netcoin"): A cryptocurrency based on a hybrid PoW/PoS system on: May 17, 2013, 05:29:13 PM
K, thanks. Wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to where it came from. The point, though, is the non-standard scrypt that it's using that's supposedly difficult for GPUs to work with. I don't know if it is or not, but if it is, that's interesting.

It's not difficult, really.  There are a lot of misconceptions about what scrypt can and can't do.  I doubt there is a value or N or p for which GPU mining isn't advantageous.

I'll be back soon, promise guys.  I've been going through something, and after this weekend things should smooth out for me again.  I'm sorry for this period of unexpected absence.

don't worry, man, this idea is the one i'm waiting for in short term.. thanks for your contributions!

They changed their plans. They will add Mincoin (MNC) instead.

do what you want.

But still you just fucked milksakes coin release... shame on you
Not my fault he's incompetent and can't figure out how to release his own client. Nor is it my fault that he decided to premine his own coin.
that' why he trusted you... and how you paid?

well i don't wnat to fight you, isn't my problem
I did the community a favor by uncovering his premining scheme.

ok.

Is this a fake start from someone who hijacked the github or what?

The difficulty was going to be reasonable but sampling random pages from the huge thread it seems people are mucking around with some old code that the difficulty fix was not pushed to yet?

-MarkM-

Okay I checked the code, this is not the correct version yet at all, someone has gone running using the old original whatevercoin code they copied from, one of the >> 20 ones based on litecoin, the usual scam orphans difficulty, it is not even adjusted to bitcoin's >> 32 yet let alone an actually reasonable difficulty.

GIve the guy time to make his real code, this hijacking his github just steals the name of his coin before he has even finished coding it.

It might take him days to mine his genesis block if he doesn't make an exception for the genesis block in the difficulty checks but it will be worth it as we'll get a decent launch instead of yet another scamcoin.

-MarkM-

earlier we have a fight between MilkShake and Hazard.. cause everything was ready but Hazard premined 1300 blocks and he has to do everything again "sayed milkshake", and hazard sayed that milkshake was the one who premined...

But everithing points on hazard... search for hazard coins.. that scamer just gets the code and launched a new coin, and leaked the code, screwing this release...

now this is the real launch, cause the same milshake posted the github address on the 1st post, the big problem was, no executables on windows... someone just posted the "elacoind" but no qt, so many people feels bad, for me, i joined the pool.

i really like the idea of this coin, i think is a good perspective, and a good incentive, the problem as always, the difficulty was too low, so many orphans...

cheers

Yes this is the wrong code, the real one the difficulty will start at "ten" or more on the getinfo, not sure how many >> shift that is but presuambly at least three more shifts than bitcoin's >> 32 which also would be way too easy these days. So maybe >> 35 ? Or >> 36 or more?

The code on github has the same scammy >> 20 all the scams lately have been using.

-MarkM-

yeah for that we need milksaheke to talk about it...

even if this burst, and he works again on his coin.. i will support him, i really like this idea, a natural protection against DDOS, is a really good idea. (well for me xD), and a good balance for the coins value, is great too

I think is simple, but still, the simpliest things works better.

HazardCoin was not intended to be taken seriously, if you haven't caught on yet.

But at this rate, I might just make it a reality for the hell of it.

do what you want.

So there is no windows client wallet yet?

when you execute the elacoind "elaoin daemon" you get a dir on %APPDATA%/elacoin with the wallet on that folder... you have to use everything trough console

537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC on GOX on: May 14, 2013, 03:17:36 PM
also, have you thinked that maybe gox will launch first nmc?

It's a posibility... cause they already have the api ticker, and maybe will try first with nmc then will go with ltc...

Is sure, that they eill launch nmc and ltc... when, we don't know, i think will be 2 or 3 weeks after the release of the new trade system... cause i don't think they're going to stress the actual.

So, espect the release in one month or two months from now.

i'm loving ELC... idk why, but i think this is really smart... the way the coins are released, and everyone who gets in will be rewarded... natural anti DDOS... man i wish this would be performed by someone with better experience, but even with the weird launch... this coin has a real future...

For you to know, i just have 2 coins... so, i'm not spreading fud...

i'm done... i didn't sleep for this... and was a waste of my time... good day?
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 14, 2013, 09:11:57 AM
What kind of coin is this? How can a pool with more than 3mhs gets only orphans in more than 1 hour?

that i was thinking, but there is something wrong they block here http://elc.hackshardgaming.net/statsAuth.php are different than mine...

can't connect to that pool
