Oh yeah, btw:

gjh224      1,052    2,448.743

That's really not true.

The calculator of this tipe of pool isn't fully correct right now, is based on other, so just wait till it get's fixed.

When it comes around time to finally release this, I would like, for once, for there to be a 48 hour announcement period BEFORE the clients are released.

Same here. I want some notice so that I can get my miner set up before the action commences. This coin looks like it could be around for the long haul, and I'd love for my early-adopter investment to pay off.

Client (along with a CPU and GPU miner) will be encrypted by scrypt and packaged with a program to decrypt it long before the actual release.  A time will then be given for mining to begin.  At this time, you get the password, and everyone gets to mine at the same time.  Depending on the interest expressed, the starting difficulty will be set at around 2000-6000 7970's worth of power for 2 minute/block target time.  Multiple pools are also planned to be available at launch.

Please take in people who use windows too, having the option of get binaries. I've been trying constantly to compile by myself on windows with the guides and i have no luck doing it.

593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CLOSED] 2000 YAC bounty for adapting minerd for YAC on: May 09, 2013, 02:54:37 PM
i think we need also a minerd x64, that's why we are getting few hashrate on windows... maybe that's why.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2000 YAC bounty for adapting minerd for YAC on: May 09, 2013, 05:44:55 AM
anyone can compile it for windows? thanks in advance
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. START is now. on: May 09, 2013, 05:42:58 AM
For shits and giggles, finally compiled this on unix too.  Was able to get 400 KH/s on Ubuntu with a single 2700K.  All you need to do is compile the QT program with the chacha AVX extensions bundled with scrypt-jane and use GCC 4.7 x64, and boom, really high hash rates.

any way to help us for windows?
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Fix] YaCoin wallet Will not mine after shutting down/encrypting on: May 09, 2013, 03:40:21 AM
Okay so last night a few hours after release I got to about 1000 Yac and decided to encrypt my wallet. Upon restart the client just would not mine. I restarted checked everything nothing changed. Here is what I did.. I just created a new user account on my pc called Mining. Closed out of my wallet on my main account and signed on to the new one. I then copyed the yacoin folder onto the new desktop and started it up. It created a new wallet and I let it sync, closed it down and used the exact same .bat from my other account. Fired up perfectly. I got to about 600 Yac on this wallet and encrpted it. Same thing. Created a new user account and wallet and im good to go again. Obviously not a fix but more of a workaround. At least my other 2 are encrypted.

Hope this helps!

My third yacoin wallet lol Y2hXXoN6kPjFuc3QukEW9fT2NSpUpG819i

YAC is a PPC fork. PPC requires that encrypted wallet to be unlocked for minting (including proof-of-work mining). So you either don't encrypt the wallet, or unlock it. It seems that yacoind build is not supplied on windows for the public so unlocking wallet is a bit tricky, so your best bet is don't encrypt the wallet.

Awesome! thanks sunny king!
