Is that why price increased by $50 today?

When in doubt, blame China.   Roll Eyes

OKCoin Bitcoin ATM and BTC China has some "new product".

I agree with OP, and he continues to be proven right by some of the replies in this thread.

I don't agree with OP, and Noobs continue to not do their due diligence, use the search function, and post quality non flaming threads.

I should clarify. I agree with him in most, but not all cases.

OP needs to change his tone.  He has some points, but chooses to attack and gain attention with barbs, generalizations, and name calling rather than civilized intelligent discussion.

5224  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Kncminer Neptune third batch $5995 with $180 rebate and Kncminer MIni Neptune $ on: April 14, 2014, 08:02:35 PM
So in other words, none of these will ROI in it's lifetime.

You might want to get a better probability scale, it's showing the wrong exchange rate price and showing only 12% difficulty increases.
5225  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mini Neptune - on: April 14, 2014, 07:43:20 PM
How many dam new products KNC have before they ship their Neptunes??

First Titan, then FrankenJup, now Mini-Neptune???

The little I read up on KNC from last year were kings of the Mining game.  Shipped on time and "overdelivered"

This year seems they've become greedy bastards with their plan B and mining farm and overpriced products.
5226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now I see how ANY Government can EASILY KILL BTC on: April 14, 2014, 07:28:22 PM
I just learned about the 51% attack.

People say it can't happen because "everyone loves BTC"

= Who would do that?
= WHO would have that much money to waste just to kill BTC

Seems to me that $60-$100 Million offered @ $10 MILLION Each to 6-10 mine pools would do it...then no more concern about CRYPTO

and BTC is large enough that the media spin on it would count as an EXAMPLE to the masses that crypto doesn't work (perception is reality) and should be stayed away from?

What do you think?

So if I owned a pool and the Feds paid me ten million bucks to shut down the pool,
And i agreed, so what?  My pool is shut down, and miners would join another pool.
So, nothing was accomplished except breaking up a large pool temporarily.

unless you owned one of the largest pools, and the other 9 pool owners were paid also (as I said in the original statement)

Why would the government want to kill something they want to tax?  Makes no sense to them don't you think?

Goes against everything you learned in history class...

For example, the US.
The US sees BitCoin as a competitor to its US Dollar. If everyone treated bitcoin like a currency like the dollar, then it would severly hurt that country's economy, and its government cannot control it.

I love Bitcoin as much as the next guy, but I don't think we're quite at that stage yet.  The government, IRS for instance, is looking for ways to tax it.

In the US government's eyes, it's a "property" not a currency, thus the "property tax" they've included this year for miners and investors.

We're only in year 5, lets get it accepted by Amazon and Ebay first, before we start threatening the US dollar.

Would love to see the chart when Amazon finally accepts Bitcoin.

Will be a thing of beauty.   Smiley

Another noob, another dumb post.

OP, going from $0 to $450 in 5 years isn't a slow rate.

I am new around here and could not agree with the OP more.

I also don't think the value of a BTC has anything to do with the adoptive rate in the OP subject.

You were so quick to jump on him I'll bet you didn't even realize how silly your point was.

Why don't you break it down for us noobs, 3 post BillyBobJoe?

Explain your position coherently so us dullards can understand.

Seems like he's going for a new dumb post record.
5231  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.893 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 14, 2014, 05:29:40 PM
In Stock Again.

Let me guess not profitable at $400, so it's out of stock.  Soon as it's >$450, magically in stock again.

It's a miracle!   Cheesy

I think Ninjatech has S1 in stock

Usually Ninjatech orders directly from Bitmain though.  So, if Bitmain is out of stock, then Ninjatech is too.

When I ordered from Ninja, the label said it's from Shenzen China, not Arizona where Ninjatech is based.

You probably right ChuckBuck.
Ninja wrote something about having new/used units available, so I thought he might have them in stock.
Why do you think the S1 are geting hard to find?  Bitmain stop making them?

They probably winding down S1 inventory, to ship more S2's instead.

They're also probably working on their next generation miner at the same time.
5232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why governments will not ban bitcoin on: April 14, 2014, 05:01:47 PM
There's no money in the ban for the government.

It's all about the taxes...
5233  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 14, 2014, 04:43:44 PM
Full Member is 120 actually, quoting Theymos:

New users can now immediately start posting unless they are using suspicious IPs. Suspicious IPs are ones that have been banned previously, or are known proxies, or are near many banned/proxy IPs. If you register using a suspicious IP, you can use most forum features (watchlist, etc.), but you can't post or send PMs until you pay a small fee. In almost all cases, the fee is less than $1. People proxybanned in this way can also be whitelisted by the usual people who can do whitelisting. These IP bans apply only to registration: you can no longer get caught by random IP bans if you're using an established account.

The Newbies section is now an archived section. You can move posts from it, but nothing else can be posted there.

The patrol page acts kind of like a "virtual newbies section". It shows only posts by newbies, no matter where the posts are located. It also keeps track of which posts are new since the last time you've visited the patrol page. If you want to help out, please look for spam on the patrol page. There's an option in your settings to put a "Patrol" link near "Watchlist".

Additionally, membergroup limits are changed:
GroupRequirement
Brand New0 posts
Newbie(none)
Jr. Memberactivity: 30
Memberactivity: 60
Full Memberactivity: 120
Sr. Memberactivity: 240

Activity should be going up today for everyone.

It's tomorrow, unless it's the 15th already in your country.

Wonder if there'll be any changes to the rates to compete with Ritz or if the affiliate links will become active/allowed?

Nice, that means I'll be a Full Member any second now!   Grin
5235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why 21 Million? Won't that defeat the purpose & STOP Universal Acceptance on: April 14, 2014, 04:32:42 PM
iGrow -

Technically you could run an entire economy using 1 Bitcoin.

They would just modify the core code to allow for further subdivisions.

So yes - even with all the lost Bitcoins, there is no effect on the ecosystem.

Except that the people holding "whole bitcoins" become that much more rich.  Because its that much more rare.

So by all means people.  Please.  Lose your coins!

-B-

Lol exactly!  Uninformed people look at the 21million figure like it's a flaw.  It's by design!   Cheesy

The more lost is actually a good thing for us "HODLERS".
5236  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Webuy.com in UK now pays out in Bitcoin!! on: April 14, 2014, 04:25:39 PM
Got confused for a second here.

I saw Cex and thought of the exchange, but clearly this isn't CEX.IO.

Looks like a trade in site or marketplace.
5237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profit on CPU mining? Best way to do it? on: April 14, 2014, 03:22:06 PM
If you're mining Memorycoin, it's possible to get a couple bucks a day best case scenario:

You'd probaby need a core i7 and decent cooling/air flow so to avoid overheating your PC though.
5238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Apple Thread - I Admit Defeat. on: April 14, 2014, 02:56:09 PM
Yeah, especially if the user hates using the other product. (That's basically like telling me to use Android/Windows Phone even though I hate those OS's)

If users use Apple products, GET OVER IT. The time wasted by bashing people for the products they use can be spent on something better than bashing.

I couldn't care less what people use - they are more than entitled to burn their money (me included) on a closed system that is all about supporting corporate greed. What I don't understand is the rediculous nature of the Apple fandom (not the average user) given that their innovation has pretty much dissipated.

As with everything else there are two sides to the coin. First of all the idea that "corporate greed" or profit as those without an axe to grind is a bad thing is simply wrong. "Corporate greed" has given us the automobile, light bulb, electricity, the internet, jets that can take us anywhere in the world in hours instead of days or even years. The ability to turn your ideals and talents into money is a great thing.

Apple fans are passionate. I talk to them every day in my job and they are a fairly tech savvy and very passionate group. The remind me of bitcoin owners.

I respectfully disagree.  They're usually misguided, blind, non tech savvy followers that like to tweet and take selfies.

Mostly chicks, soccer Moms, and teenage girls.   Grin

Any self respecting, independent thinking, knowledgeable and tech savvy grown man has an Android phone.  Thought this was a known fact!   Cool

I am not going get into an Apple versus Windows debate. Use whatever device works for you. It is patently absurd to judge a group of people by the type of electronics they buy.

Technically you mean Apple vs Android for mobile devices.  Didn't even know Windows phones were in the race.   Tongue

This isn't about the electronics preferences.  This is about Apple's continued hypocrisy and monopolistic views towards Bitcoin and anything else that doesn't generate a revenue stream for them.

To think, this was Apple's Slogan once:

Now, it's more bow down to your masters, Sheeple!  Line up, we got a new iPhone 7s coming to you with new improved selfie camera and balls sensor!  Before snapchatting your Ball selfies, you must be logged into iCloud and iTunes first, before you can download the exclusive Beyonce track.
