5301  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 1.9 released on: December 04, 2013, 12:04:08 AM
Electrum 1.9.5 portable isnt working portable. It doesnt find the wallet and creates a directory in the system dir which shouldnt happen for a portable version i guess.

What's the md5 of your 1.9.5 portable.

It shows the correct md5 from the download website. But i was wrong. The dir in roaming was old. It doesnt create it. Instead it creates a dir electrum_data in the rootdir of the .exe and then asks for creating a new wallet.

Should i push files into that dir somehow? I have the dir locale and the files blockchain_headers, electrum.dat and the .exe.
5302  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: December 03, 2013, 11:48:26 PM
As I said before, I will verify my id with a trusted member of the community if needed,

Its needed. No offense, you are probably legit, but you registered here in august when the labcoin scheme started falling apart. It is not something labcoin shareholders should have to worry about that their legal defense donations might end up being yet another scam.

I have sent my information and the signed contract that I have with the lawyer to SebastianJu And thank you Puppet for bringing this up, I totally forgot about it.

I can confirm that i got an email from virtualspade with his ID and the contract he subscribed to with the lawyer. I know him since some time from LCSH and his interest in following the scammer, providing info and pushing the legal activities forward looks genuine for me.
5303  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 03, 2013, 11:03:42 PM
This is good right? We are shipping units in two months for orders placed last week.

Considering ROI on one of these machines is currently about a week if you use it to mine,
2 months is a brutal amount of time to see a profit for VMC
and to make it worse...

Depends. Its open if miners that are for customers will be delivered first or later. And it depends very much on the delivery time. If the miner gets delivered on january then you get a nice return over time. Except the diff updates are more than http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ anticipates. If the miner gets delivere february then its already not really worth the risk.

So either ken knows the risk is high enough to justify the current minerprice or he throws money away. Lets see...
5304  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: December 03, 2013, 10:39:11 PM
I love these bloggers who simply cut and paste text from another source and call themselves "journalists"
anyway, the more outlets this news gets the better. I'm curious just how advantageous this cooling system turns out to be...if AM can become a leader in asic cooling solutions thats ok with me. as long as they lead, they will profit, and mining seems to be a unwinnable game right now.
As long as they cite the source, it is fair play.
This is how newspapers work, most of them simply forward what they get from news agencies such as Reuters, EFE, EP, AFT, APA, etc...

Though they pay for copying... but im not a friend of that copyright-industry anyway...
5305  Economy / Auctions / Re: ## 1320 ASICMINER DIRECT SHARES @0.29[btc] - 7 DAYS AUCTION - ESCROW POSSIBLE ## on: December 03, 2013, 10:22:59 PM
Update:

I now sent all transfer requests to friedcat that i could handle till now. That means all those where i know the target address and the payment reached.

Yet open are the payments from:
atomicchaos
greatscott
buck19
yxt
BTCLondon
sochee
freedomno1
Juzzers
Ajay
cacallillos
_mr_e

And i couldnt forward share transfer requests because of missing BTC-Address for:
sleger

When sending me a bitcoin address then specifically send me the bitcoin address too, not only a signature and a message. Because its too risky to use an address i get from a signature only without naming the address for me specifically. Signatures can fail far too easy because of a linebreak or any other wrong sign so i wont risk sending shares to an address that maybe even dont exist.

Dear SebastianJu, I've sent BTC to the address provided by you and sent you a PM with my information, yet I didn't get any reply from you, please confim with my of the status now, thanks.

Your transfer is in friedcats email already. Like i stated. Everyone not in the list above was sent to friedcat so that he can transfer the shares.

SebastianJu why have you stopped replying to my PM's after I paid you? I have yet to receive my share on havelock and dividends will be paid soon. As I noted in my message I accidently overpaid by 0.09 and I was hoping you will return that amount back to me. Please message me back. Thank you.

Im not in the forum all the time and i sent your overpayment back the moment you informed me about it. I sent you the transaction id.

I now sent some more mails for friedcat for more paid shares. The status now is that all transfer requests are sent out except for the following buyers:
"yxt",
"sochee",
"Ajay",

yxt was in contact with me but the other 2 not yet. I will send them a pm again since its less than a day until friedcat would pay out the next divs and hopefully he do all the transfers before that like he normally did.
5306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: all4btc.com < Buy from Amazon with Bitcoin < Is this legit? on: December 03, 2013, 02:47:40 AM
Thats it for me. Im done with all4btc.com even for products i dont need immediately. After a small product was delivered fast i ordered something for over 100€. I didnt get a confirmation so i had to send an email. Finally after 3 days i got a confirmation. Then i waited and waited and sent another email to ask where my product is. I got the answer that amazon didnt accept their fully loaded credit card. I guess they use VCC's so its no wonder amazon dont like it. They claimed they will order again.

Till then nothing. No reactions to my emails anymore. Now its 14!!! days after i ordered and i have nothing. I now want my bitcoins back.

Because of these useless website i had no proper shoes in fitness center. Thanks a lot! Trusting this website wasnt worth it.

I think i will now check if joinsnapcard.com works. But i wont make experiments with things i need fast anymore.

5308  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: December 03, 2013, 12:09:46 AM
Anyone been able to login to Weexchange today... or Bitfunder for that matter?

both sites show up but any attempt to login just seems to refresh the login page...  Huh

5309  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The WeExchange 2nd Stage Con! Currently ~$1,250,000 (Check the NEWS) on: December 03, 2013, 12:05:35 AM
Yes... weexchange broken for me too. Tried to delete domain cookies but no change.

I dont get it... first he at least is answering by irc and now complete silence? If he wouldnt be known in person i now would be 100% sure its a scam and he went to a nice warm country...

Anyone lives near ukyo? I mean if he isnt coming to us probably we need to go to him to get answers.

Its sickening to see this spiral again and again and to lose hope in the process because it looks like the scams you saw again and again.

It shouldnt be hard to contact... if anyone got a response let me know. I dont see why he is online on irc all day but isnt answering...

Friedcat is counting with 1000PH
I think you're confusing with FC stating (in the interview with the chinese girl) that AM had made 1000TH/s of hardware already, either sold or mining "in the house". This is a known translation error that got transformed in "FC sees 1000PH/s in 2014" when the video came out. And this has been explained many times already.
If you are sure of what you say, could you provide a source?

when gen3 come online in "hundreds of PH" also around April.
Source?

Interview says FC thinks network hashrate will be 1000ph and he will provide several hundred.

Source: interview
Did you read my entire post before posting or?...

Quote
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjI1OTIxMTc2.html

One of our group members in Chinese community had an interview with Friedcat today. Above is the brief introduction of what Friedcat has done and planned to be accomplished in the next months.
To be short:
1. 1000T would be released around Nov 7th. These chips may be sold or deployed, depending on the situation then.
2. 2nd Gen chips have already been developed long time ago. But they were delayed to deploy considering the unsatisfactory performance.
3. 3rd Gen chips were also under development during that period. It is already developed now but still under test. It is expected to become a mature product in Feb 2014, which means its key indicators would be much better than those of its competitors. It is estimated that the network hashing power would be 1000p then, while Friedcat would deliver several hundred of it.

As I said, there was a translation error. Just scroll up, but if you don't find it Ctrl-F "This is a known translation error that got transformed".
Basically you've just quoted the first version of the translation, which is not accurate according to follow-up comments in the next days.

The translation error was at point 1. 1000TH will be deployed by asicminer then in total. Not additional in november.
The 1000p werent a translation error.

What i dont see is how friedcat, when tapeout is end of january, will bring online 100PH so fast...

TheSwede is not helping?! What a rat.

I want to confirm that Alberto is the prime target here and the lawyer is not going to waste funds tracking down 'Sam Noi'. Then I'll donate.

Haven't heard from TheSwede since I sent him a Q&A to answer some weeks ago. And yes Alberto Armandi is the prime target, because "Sam Noi" dosent exist imo.

I got a pm from him 6 days ago. He mentioned that he will help and collects all the infos, chats, numbers and so on. He claims he is super busy though... i dont like reading that from him and then he has time to chat. Thats why i wrote him another pm and told him that it would be good to hurry since fabrizio and alessia are helping since weeks already and the lawyer will start soon too.
I think he will help and i hope he will do it NOW.

Fabrizio is not from the hook. But he is speaking. And thats something needed to solve this all. Next step would be to get alberto to speak. Lets see what he claims. If Fabrizio did something wrong then Alberto for sure wont be happy about what Fabrizio said and we would get info from Alberto that we could check.

At the end... every communication will help to clear this all.

SebastianJu: Considering the very current forum hack, could you please send messages/emails confirming addresses for new shares and received funds?

I didnt use my login details in the last days since i always use "remember me". Now im logged in via the direct IP.

To proof my account is safe here a verification for the 1300 shares address:

Code:
address removed at OP's request
Code:
Not hacked @BCT. SebastianJu Auction 1320 Shares. 20131202-1308 MEZ
Code:
removed

I will now answer to all the pm's from december that gave me the details for the transaction to ensure i have the correct ones and the senders account wasnt sending wrong data.

Though i think a hacker wouldnt bother with it since it can be found out fast and repaired. But to make it sure...

@SebastianJu

I noticed my bid was outbidded but was the closest one to the winner list, if winner who wouldn't fulfill their payment, does that mean my bid will be active then?

Yes of course. Youre the second in place to receive shares.

Like i said... rules like you await should have been defined. That it wasnt defined should have said you something.

So the issue is closed now? What does it mean? You drop out or you pay?
Why wouldn't I pay?  The discussion was only about the .01 BTC extra.  A few others had same and one was .02 over so it was a valid question not just for me.  The only issue was you claiming that normal auction rules are strange and you've never heard of them.  I simply pointed out that's not true.  You'll have payment before deadline.  I'll PM you with email and transaction number.

There is no one other than you that tries to include this rule.

Ok, ill wait then for the payment and the details.

I expected a lot more fireworks in the end.
Unfortunately for you it stayed relatively calm, although I don't mind.

I expected a rising price because of the higher dividends last wednesday. But it didnt consider that the btc-price could have a negative effect... but im happy that it ran relatively good. I wasnt even sure if its possible to sell all the shares.

My assumption about how these auctions works is in agreement with SebastianJu.
Good to know that auctions should get done with assumptions.  In any case the issue is closed now.

Like i said... rules like you await should have been defined. That it wasnt defined should have said you something.

Its a bit hard when the trust is red at some point... Smiley

I thought I was done discussing it too.  Huh
... I wont jump in on that since you are the only one that claims auctions have to run the way you think.

...
I'm not claiming anything.  Every single real auction description appears to contradict you.  I'd ask for you to at least point to anywhere on this forum in your description or elsewhere that this rule is spelled out but it doesn't appear you are even willing to entertain the possibility of being wrong.  When is the deadline for payment?
But you seem to want to keep going so let's test your theory.  Name a place that runs auctions the way you claim except apparently auctions here.  I'm certainly open to learning if I'm wrong.  Maybe in different places of the world it's different.

I would want the payment before the next div payment since friedcat seems to change shares to new owners before he pays out the divs.

I was noticed that dutch auctions are backward auctions in the first place. I already did such auction for my bitburners once and it was good. And there you bid and pay the price you bid too. No rule like you claimed included.

What place should i tell you? Practically every auction works the way that you pay the price you bid. Only because there are special forms for bidders that cant be there when the auction runs doesnt make this a general rule. I dont even know an auction where it runs the way you claim. Except ebay of course.

Could we bring this to an end maybe? I wont give you a discount for a rule i didnt specify. Only that you assumes a rule applies doesnt make your believe binding to me.

I thought I was done discussing it too.  Huh

Ebay works in the exact way Seb ran his auction. In fact in order to cancel a bid you need the sellers permission. Bids are binding.

I think ebay is like he wants it to. If you bid 35USD on an item and the next highest bid is 20USD then the highest bidder only has to pay 20.5USD or so. But thats something special that isnt used in any other auction. For example police auctioning seized things, government auctioning leftovers, sotheby's and and and... its a special rule and only believing that such rule exists in this auction doesnt make it binding for me then.

Only because you claim normal auctions have to include these special treatments doesnt make it true. In fact its a special things one would await to define when its used. I didnt define it so you cant guess that i will use this rule.

Anyway... im tired of this. This is no bazaar. I will not drop the price for special rules that never were mentioned in the auction description. That you asked in the thread if this rule applies shows that werent sure either. I dont know what auctions you know normally. I even didnt know that there are such auctions besides ebay.

If you dont want the shares for that price then state this and youre out. I wont write about this another day.
5318  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTOSTOCKS] Labcoin Official Thread - Self-Moderated on: December 01, 2013, 03:27:04 AM
I cant believe that since such a scam only can work if the majority of the money remains in the system. When all the big players would have ended with a win then the system couldnt have played out only on the backs of the small guys.

Sure it could.  The "big" names werent in with bitcoins anymore, they long cashed out, instead they set up pass through schemes to funnel fresh money to pirate in return for a cut.

Ah you mean them... might be that a couple of them realized what happens and withdrew the fee they got. Though its more big names than big returns. Since big returns on that side means even bigger returns on the scammers side otherwise the whole thing had to be stopped by the scammer in order to make money with it.
I dont know if there really were many that won with it. On the other hand... who would admit if he did? It would be very sure that the scammed ones would shred them to pieces...

TheSwede75 didnt make 1,000BTC profit? Where do you have this from? Thats plain stupid. In fact he made a big loss. So if you cant come with some evidences or hints you shouldnt propagate such things.

I just read a post by you where you can't put 2+2 together to see how funds got to jd wallet, and now this. Grin "in fact he made a big loss" . with the fake portfolio img he show? he jump on a flight, then back to trollbox, buy 250k ftc and 50k xpm with all dreamers investment $.. There really is no fixing stupid.

*sigh* Impressive again how some guys can suck stories out of their own fingers. Wheres the proof? Surely you would use these evidences at court right? Its very easy. You claim you know that the image is fake and he will go to jail right?
What do you mean with jd wallet?

TheSwede made big money off this, somebody found his wallet, and he was buying cars+luxury watches shortly after Labcoin went live.

He is the biggest reason why this scam succeeded. He is just as responsible for it.

Just look at all his stupid posts trying to convince people to stay in this company, even when we were discovering facts that it was a scam. You really take that psychopath's word he knew nothing what was going on? Even now, I still see him in the trollbox everyday pumping Feathercoin and other garbage alts.

He is responsible? He thought it was a legit company like any other involved that bought shares. He did his work which was PR, he received shares for it and invested from his own BTC in those shares too. So now you claim he is responsible? Is howard responsible too then because he developed an asic for labcoin?

There were all the time people that claimed to know it was scam and others that didnt see the sense in it. If thats really all you have to claim he is guilty of then im glad that you guys are no judges.

I guess thats human nature. One will not be guilty of being stupid. No... that cant be. Others must have been it. They convinced me. They had to know it was wrong. Im the poor victim.

Guys... that wont work.

Why are you defending him, exactly? I'm tired of all the clicks in here, stop defending your buddy and let him speak for himself.

This scam would have not gotten anywhere without TheSwede's efforts.

I don't care what he claims to have known or not known, especially when he's mysteriously buying Porsches and Rolexes as soon as the scam goes live.

He fronted a scam and if he doesn't go down along with Alberto, then there is something very wrong.

Because he will help like any other to catch this scammer? Im sick of this childish game to search the guilt by everyone except themself. Yes, you were stupid as i was investing in here. Accept it and dont try being smart guessing he had to know it or he had to fake everything. Thats so poor. In fact i could say the same. You should have known that this is a scam. But admitting one made an error isnt fun. Its better to blame everything on others. And because everything is better than yourself lets take the poor PR-Guy... he claims he only did his job but he had to know more right?

This is such a stupid logic... blaming the ones that were used as a paid helper... and the only justification is a believe.

If you have evidences then come with them. But you speak about others without speaking with them. I dont have much sympathy for this.

Again, im happy that you guys are no judges. You would put guys in jail for believes i guess. And all only because you need someone to blame your own stupidity on.

And yes, i was probably way more stupid than you judging from my losses. Im only dont go around blindly beating around.

What else do you call bids in an auction that runs for 7 days and where bidders may or may not be there when the auction ends?  You are correct nothing was stated in the description and if you thought one way and I thought another how does it get resolved?  When I bid .33 there was only 1 person for 1 share at that level and plenty of room at .32  The bid was that if .32 would get exhausted I would be 1st in .33 without having to monitor the exact time when .32 ran out and having to rebid it again.  Also I brought this up BEFORE auction end when it appeared that .32 wouldn't run out.  SebastianJu could've responded that it's either .33 or .32 is at a different spot in line or any other possible responses.  Also SebastianJu can simply say that he wants it his way or nothing else then fine but don't try to say that this is some sort of strange anomaly and no one does auctions this way when the reality is the exact opposite and auctions are done this way.

Nothing kept you from watching this auction all the time. Absentee forms are for bidders that cant take part in the auction. Thats probably not for you. And even when... thats something you had to clear before. If i would have done such an auction the last days then there obviously would some numbers be missing in the status report since i would have to log the actual bid and the maximum bid. I never showed those numbers nor did i note such things since i never intended a auction of the type you want.

You might have spoken about that before the auction ended and i answered the way i thought your question was meant. That was it. Shouldnt you have inform you before bidding if youre unsure and had to ask if the auction was your preferred type?

Anyway... i think your search of absentee rules and rules of auctions like ebay is some kind of dropping the price. I wont jump in on that since you are the only one that claims auctions have to run the way you think.

To end this... will you accept the outcome of the auction or not? There are more than 30 persons that were overbidden with their shares and that would like to get the shares. I cant accept making this thread into a bazaar haggling about prizes to safe a couple breadcrumbs. This is not a sales talk, this was an auction. And the auction decided the price. No haggling included.

So let me know if you accept the outcome or not.

Here is Sotheby's absentee bidder form.
http://www.sothebys.com/content/dam/sothebys/PDFs/Wine/L13701_absenteeBid.pdf
Notice where it says
These bids are to be executed as cheaply as is permitted by other bids or reserves and in an amount up to but not exceeding the specified amounts.

So you were absent while auctioning? You realize that sotheby's is writing about a special form to fill for that. I neither mentioned such a possibility nor did you claim that your bid is special than the bids from others.
