They should be banned like alt coin giveaways are along with all other crapcoin ICOs.
+1 for spammy on-forum airdrop bans.

* Lauda is watching in case that some pretend managers pop in. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) - previous experience as a campaign manager for legitimate ICO
FYI experience managing a signature campaign is more desirable as it usually requires more effort/skill. Additionally, previous experience does not imply a good manager.
Post disclaimer: I have not / will not apply. Update disclaimer: OP did PM me.

I believe that there is an RPC command "estimatefee <numberofblocks>" that should return the required fee per kilobyte that will get your transaction confirmed in the specified number of blocks.
There is such a command and the fee estimations have drastically improved in 0.15.0. However if the user does not know something like this then they shouldn't be using RPC to create transactions. I didn't get a impresison that the user is very experienced based on their post. This is why I'd recommend OP to use the GUI. The interface is very simple: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FmbNn0P2.png&t=663&c=V-Zl5VTq3cbrQw)

Opening a thread like this is rather pointless. PM either: theymos or Cyrus.

is that Lauda's seal of approval?
Not exactly. The criteria for that is quite high, but I do like my Gamecoin set. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

The problem with 'nuking' threads is that it can still leave the person's questions unanswered (may happen, who knows) and will eventually create another thread like that to get answers for the same question.
If that happens because they have not read the stickied thread it is their fault and such threads should continue to be nuked as much as possible. Nuking is only good against spammers and account farmers, while I feel it might not answer the questions of an honest man who actually wants to know the answer, however has not read Lauda's thread because they are unable to find it or don't even know it exists.
The threads are the first ones you see when you visit B & H. There is no justification for not reading them and opening up a new thread. Bottom line - A lot more attention should be brought to especially Lauda's thread. Maybe in the form of what I suggested in OP or Browser pop-ups - anything to grab the attention of a person who has recently joined up for the forum. The lack of information has never been the problem, just the 'advertising of it'. Most newbies probably dont even know it exists.
I haven't heard much from the staff members regarding it, other than Cyrus giving a stamp of approval (IIRC) before Mitchell and I took the idea to theymos and just did it.

Hello Lauda, I am wearing the signature since September 16, but in the table it is written that there is no signature, why is it so?
I don't recall you notifying me about this change. and will I receive payment for the signature for the period 18.09-02.10?
No. It is your duty to report any issues after you get enrolled, as I've explicitly stated several times through this thread. sorry lauda,i removed the avatar. thank you BSD for avatar campaigns.
That is fine.

What I don't get is why do so many people use Quickseller's 'extortion' thread to try snake their way out of their own situation? Even when it doesn't even fit into context, it will be used against Lauda.... Sad. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Now you know the only and true intent behind that thread. Don't let Quickseller fool you into thinking that he cares about anyone other than himself for a second. After all, that's what scammers usually do.
The thread will be brought up very often when I bust someone else, but I shall stand strong against the forces of evil. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Well, as I've mentioned before it's usually a problem with compatibility or the derivation path. the video from multibit is for electrum wallet not electrum cash but it is same procedure for electrum cash to get bch.
Of course, Bitcoin Cash is basically just stealing all the work from others without actually being capable of delivering something themselves. Remember to send your btc to new wallet made from a new seed first as stated by Theymos in the OP.. it would be such a shame to trade security for convenience;
Definitely. I think this may cause a decreasing feedback loop for bch. ..more people figure out how to spend their bch the more they will dump and the lower price will go All that shitcoin is good for is trading it in for some real money.

You know your argument is over when you use quickseller to prove a point.
As the religious people would say, "Amen to that.". ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) This is just another example that proves being lenient is a mistake with random people. Anyway, I have no time to argue with people like you who talk something and do something.
Off to the next account to cheat and scam some more? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

BTCevo is bought account. Read his posts in 2014 and now. Compare grammary.
Yahoo should double check participants.
He is in a hurry to steal money from campaigns but doesn't have time to do his work to check accounts. Funny how you show your true face now. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Right, I was being typically selfish--I have that section on ignore.
I was posting there a lot more frequently before, but nowadays not as much because it is full of spammers. I think there's a relatively easy solution to this using an idea like OP's, but the stumbling block has always been the will to act on the part of theymos. That's how I perceive it, anyway.
Every *solution* or *action* is hard if you do not do anything. I remember reporting a huge list of shit threads when I was a mod. and it took forever for Cyrus and hilariousandco to handle (for whatever reason). I'd like to compile a list of the most commonly asked questions here, and maybe that would be useful for something.
That doesn't work with pretend newbies. You should ask master account farmers such as Quickseller. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

If my compromised machine is used to steal my bch then would not the bch block explorer be able show us exactly when my funds are stolen? And to where??? That alone would be interesting..
Obviously? That is most often not useful though. 3 imported old now empty multibitHD seed into electrum cash 4 I tried both BIP39 and BIP145 with BIP39 5 ..using both m'/44'/0'/0'/ & m'/145'/0'/0'/ (not sure which is correct)
There's your mistake. If the seed implementation isn't compatible, or you specify the wrong derivation path, you will get completely different addresses. Here is the solution that you're looking for: Or you have to manually or otherwise extract the private keys from your MultiBit HD wallet/seed... Automated (but technical) method requiring use of python scripts: https://github.com/HardCorePawn/multibit_recoveryManual method: - Create offline version of https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/- Put in your MultiBit HD seed - Set Derivation Path -> BIP32 - Set Client = "MultiBit HD" - Copy all the address/private keys (click show more until you are sure you have more than all the addresses you ever used) - Set Client = "Custom" -> Set Derivation Path = m/0'/1 - Copy all the change addresses/private keys (click show more until you are sure you have more than all the addresses you ever used) Once you have all your private keys: - In Electrum -> New/Restore -> Standard Wallet -> Create a new seed - Once wallet is created, "Wallet -> Private Keys -> Sweep" - Paste in all the private keys you got from automated or manual method You should now have all your coins in an Electrum HD Wallet. as a last resort I can go back into multibitHD and modify it to dump the keys if the empty old private keys will work to open bch?
Yes, you can dump priv keys and import into Bitcoin ABC. Opening multibitHD is no longer needed, you can use a tool (as described above).

That was the idea behind that thread, which was an update of an already existing one by Mitchell and me. Similarly, the General threads in that subforum are also used for the same thing. Back in my late days of moderating, we were trashing any generic 'wallet' or 'how to earn' threads on sight. Mitchell is the only one doing that right now from what I see. I also suspect that people controlling a lot of accounts create these garbage-level threads in order to respond to it with their army of accounts. A lot of campaigns already don't pay for posts in beginners & help, but somehow these questions always end up in meta.
I've seen a lot of spammers post their half-genuine-looking bullshit in here.

Let's just give money to random strangers on the internet, what could possibly go wrong.
Unfortunately, some people are too stupid to figure that one out. Also, an update for members who are still following this thread. We have finalized treasurers / escrows for the pre-ICO and in process of finalizing arrangements with them after which they will be announced publicly. The entire process has remained absolutely transparent and we are happy with treasurers taken on-board and they are well known escrows in this community so we believe the community will be satisfied with our selection.
I'm quite curious whether you've picked random people without any credibility or some established escrows. Why not present the names of potential candidates right away?

Additionaly, Bitsend will also activate Segwit starting from block 400,000. We are very proud of this development; no other currency offers these prominent features!
You should include an estimated-time-of-arrival (ETA) for that block/activation of SegWit. How many BitSend coin do we need to setup a Masternode? and is there a how to please. Thanks,
As answered multiple times before, 25 000 coin. You can find guides here: https://bitsend.info/forums/index.php?board=2.0.
