This thread was weird but , ....common!

I told my wife there are at least 2 girls on the forum and he laughed, but you have to admit there aren't many girls in to Bitcoin, this upcoming $1000 party is going to be a sausage fest.

true. My girlfriend was suggesting that there needs to be a special dating service for the btc forum addicts. I hoped that wasn't a threat!

What will you be celebrating exactly? That you can say 'I told you' to your  friends? That you can retire? That the market didn't crash after all? That bitcoin will be widely accepted? Honest question

this forum is hard work sometimes, isn´t it? it eats away substantial chunks of your time and to some it even seems to become a full blown way of live of its own.
it was in one of those innumerable nights with hours spent in this unique forum, arguing/considering/exploring/sharing/fighting with you about this abstract gamechanger called bitcoin, when it dawned on me that you guys are just great. this forum is special. i thought i need to meet you guys - in real life - not behind a screen. the first idea was a party. no agenda, just meet & celebrate. what could be a good reason to announce such a community event? bitcoin was at 140, not moving forever. yeah, if it should ever reach $1000 we should celebrate this milestone! it seemed a reasonable choice.

the point is to move away from the keyboards and add a little reality to this magic joyride we are experiencing. let´s meet in reality, face to face. bitcoin is abstract as hell, it will help us believing this madness when we see tons of other folks with the same vision/experience/ in real life.

i´d say those are good reasons to celebrate.

hope to see you all at the party!

man, i am thankful for this thread. whenever the sell-itching starts i read it out loud.

Du meinst an so was wie Namen/Hostnamen senden

Back to Topic:

Cry
5344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 28, 2013, 10:05:25 PM
lotta price increase without impressive volume / $ amounts

and BTW that previous sell from a few days ago was a test run, no true panic volume on the so called "panic day".

The real panic day is yet to come. Don't know when, but I don't want any part of it. These parabolic rises are never a good thing.

read it out loud.

(sorry for op.)

I have an idea, let's invite Max Keiser to the party!

He is kind of a Bitcoin star and also a funny guy.

Also, IIRC, he lives in London/Paris or so, in any case not too far from Germany.

good idea, we will do this!

For those who didn't see it.

So 600watt, still BTC reaches 1k$ party or someting higher?

interesting thought. but what to choose ? 2k ? 5k ?

maybe we should just make it "bitcoin-reaches-4-digits" party  Grin

my guess is we see the party happening soonest around march 2014.
5358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp $1000 is what counts on: November 27, 2013, 10:59:14 PM
agreed.

even though bitstamp was behaving kinda goxy lately, too.

we choose bitstamp to set the trigger for the party.

I can't tell if these are pumps or the greatest bear traps of all time.

summer 2013 was the greatest bear trap of all time.
5360  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: November 27, 2013, 10:29:54 PM
