With the upcoming february release cryptoinsight (TKR) will add features that will greatly help investors struggling with doing crypto related taxes.
Not sure about the crypto itself but to claim it will revolutionize taxes...HOW? It won't know how much I lost...or will lose in the future. It can make projections but it is useless. If the coins tanked the following months or years what is the use of those projections??? |

All privacy focused coin might loss their charm because at end when we will be willing to exchange those coin for fiat, we have to expose our personal identity and privacy because almost all fiat supported exchange platform have KYC policy.
There is no other ways to remain anonymous with crypto other than selling coin through peer to peer exchange platforms.
Feeless + instant transaction might become big thing this year.
Polaroid, digital cameras, Betamax, VHS, DVD, etc...became famous because of the not so legit industries (and people) who use them. Same with crypto. If not for the darknet, cryto probably died years ago. Personally, I have no need for anon coins but I am in for the money and I follow coins I believe will give me profit. Anon coins are here to stay and many need the feature they offer. There are still many ways to evade the current dragnet...not sure for how long though. |

Sorry but you entered at the worst time. That is when my portfolio was at it's all time high (ATH). Like you, my portfolio got hit 60% a week after but it recovered some already and earned some of that back and I am at 60% of my ATH.
I believe it will recover but might take months to go back to those levels.
Just HODL and wait. In the mean time, I watch the dips and invest more when I can.

I agree with you for ZEN but not for Monero because isn't it an Old type coin?
It is old...the original anon coin. It is proven to be the best so far...if the FBI/ATF/DEA reports are not altered. They can't trace transactions, while everyone else's claims are (still) just on paper. |

If Amazon were to announce Bitcoin support on Feb 2nd which currencies would you think would be best to be holding?
Given your parameters.. Bitcoin/BTC (and what ever else they will accept) It doesn't mean BTC will be used by many to pay but it will have a huge impact on BTC/crypto acceptance worldwide. It may cause a surge on BTC price that may cause alts to plunge but that should be temporary and will eventually correct. All in all, it should be a positive news for crypto in the long run. I hope it happens and we need more businesses to do this!!! |

i have about 40-50 altcoins in my portfolio. And the main condition is to hold in bitcoin about 40-50 % of their investment. It seems to much, but believe me that s really working strategy. When the BTC grows up at most cases Altcoins go down and there is the possibility to buy more cheap altcoins using BTC. When the BTC falls - altcoins fall much faster and again you have the chance to make profitable deal.
YEP! I agree 100%. I admit that my goal for BTC is a bit lower (20%) and frankly I haven't been able to maintain it...the temptation to buy alts recently is too much for me to resist. It will be easier once I reached my goal $$$$$$.  As a testament to your wisdom, I've missed many good buying opportunities recently because I depleted my BTC holdings (as low as 2%  ). Ultimate plan is to be around; 60% long term HODL, 25% mid-term and 15% short term (flip/play coins). |

It seems I am the odd one...it fluctuates but on average I maintain around 35 coins. I have my reasons (right or wrong) and it works for me. Good profit/return is what matters to me (not what others say). By the way, 35 coins doesn't include the airdrops or anything less than $250 worth. |

Like BTC is the king of crypto...XMR is the king of anon coins.
My bet is on Monero...though I also have holdings on a few new ones like; XSPEC and AEON. I've had ZEN but sold them, I will likely re-buy again eventually.

I think for now Ethereum is set for correction, it moved from $300 to $1300 in few weeks, I saw one technical analysis today suggesting the price of Ether may be heading for $400 in coming weeks
I doubt it but I hope so...I need to buy more ETH |

I believe Wanchain is the next coin to explore, the team shows other ICOs how things need to be done, they have released their own explorer and I believe alot of people will jump on the FOMO as it hit exchange and alot of scapper will make money

NEO, ICON, LEND, SUB, Wabi, Neblio, Dragonchain, UTrust, Medibloc, POE, BNTY, ENJ Thoughts? I have NEO, ICON, Neblio, Dragonchain, Utrust. SUB and WABI are on my buy list. The rest I am not familiar with. All in all, I think it is a good list. |
