541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 01:57:08 PM
I will do my best to help us move forward and beyond these set backs.
The true strength of any coin is the community that rallies behind it.
If you take personal stock interest in it and help feed it, it will grow.
It's not about the developer (though it doesn't hurt having a good one)
It's about everyone involved.
Let's build the dream

True...but please answer my questions
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 01:27:58 PM
I have his email and Two different phone numbers for him as iI have stated i have worked with hozer in the past

cool beans Smiley tell me some things you plan to do with DRM? not just make it anon and leave it there im assuming? please address my questions at your will
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 01:24:44 PM
I then declare a deadline of Monday May 26th 2014 to relaunch I will be building a new team please pm me if you have any skills that will be helpful.
Also as far as zerocoin is concerned that will take time. as that is beyond my capabilities. However I / WE will tentatively be looking into it or similar technology in the future. Now the most important part is maintaining the vitality and growth of the coin. As in merchants and our core platforms. We will need to get a new blockexplorer and website up and i still need source code for the github. I do hope Carsen comes through.

This is not the way i wished for this coin to go...

I think getting any information from that scammer of a dev is out of the question.  I believe nfox said he had the source code (back on page 1 of this thread).  He will be your best bet, so PM him.

I already have just waiting for a response. I hate to think you're right but my gut is telling me not to hold my breath as well. However I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and hopefully we are not pushed back spaces in the zerocoin field as well as other pieces of the greater picture

So is the MOnday May 26th deadline, a deadline you are giving to hear back from the original Dev?  If you don't hear back from him are we moving forward with the new dev team?  Thanks again for your help in trying to rebuild DRM.
Yes this is the plan as of the moment.
I will also call hozer the afternoon and see what he has to say about the anon features...

Lmk if you need his email, hes a very excellent coder.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 01:21:45 PM
Mathgamain, would you/could you put together a website for Dreamcoin?  The video that you did was amazing, and I would love to see a website from you.

loool i mentioned earlier if this guy leaves, then mathgamin will be the graphics man for us.

If you want to truly implement zerocoin, why not team up with other guys with the same goal far ahead of us? I know for a fact that if a B+ coder tried to finish zerocoin libraries and add it, it would take months. Cryptonote and darksend personally as hozer mentioned is much easier and more ppl willing to work together on it
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 01:17:09 PM
Yes....Johnny_non gets my vote as well to step up into the dev position.  No brainer honestly.....

College....thank you for taking a step back brother!

It was a very rational thought on my part honestly, i had so much stuff going on myself (school etc) that wouldnt fulfil my responsiblities in the long term sucessfully, note to johnny; please dont give this Carsen guy too much time because it would be a waste of time but until then you've got a good amount of time to plan ahead for the future Smiley
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 12:53:22 PM
I will just step off.. its ok johnny u work ur magic in order to make drm anon and etc. Viecoin u need ur 3000ish back?
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 12:11:23 PM
I think the dev lied about hiring somebody, sadly I was in the same spot and lost money in this, but after studying the code, I just want to let everybody know that I will form a team these days and we will get this back on track, including zerocode implementation into it. These are doable things, probably original dev is happy now with some money in his pockets. I would take this to vote, you decide.
if these things are doable can u contact hozer and request to work with him? Also what are ur qualifications? Are you a B plus coder?
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 12:02:35 PM
Honestly most Anon and well worked coins i have seen are valued at 0.001- 0.02. Including the new anon clones. The reason why it doesnt make sense to sell is because of hozer and communitys support to support the future and anon implementation making it the rarest anon crypto.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 11:47:28 AM
johnny_non and collage student could now talk to each other and decide who does what. I have encouraged both of them to do so. We can make great things together, but only in cohusion.

johnny can be one who contacts the ppl and arrange bounties. i'll be the guy who raises the money and manages it
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 11:46:03 AM
I need a copy of the source code...

As i said we give him until monday and if we  don't see anything from him we go ahead...

in the meaan time we take the steps to have everything ready for monday we will need an new website bullt and hosted a new block explorer (hopefully with a richlist
the multi pool to continue and a few new sites for social media or for those that are running the social media to step forward...

Nobody panic the captain didn't sink the ship he just attempted to lock the control room.
the ship she still sails

oh no worries, we're all devs together in one way
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 11:13:22 AM
Since we are all free men, I have made a poll. Please vote, does the community want the orig Dreamcoin Dev back after what he did or not.

Submit ur vote gentlemen (and ladies)

I can get you a better dev too.

what will this new dev do exactly? Atm Hozer is the coder we just need someone to contact ppl and set up bounties
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Dreamcoin (DRM) on: May 22, 2014, 08:50:10 AM
I got the source code, took it yesterday for some studies, so dont worry Smiley

Go fuck yourself dude and stop trying to take control of Dreamcoin little 17 year old boy.

Im a whiny whore bitch

I never said that lol? I can just change ur own words by ur tactic.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dreamcoin [DRM] - X11 - PoW/PoS - Poloniex - Bittrex ~ 15% PoS! on: May 22, 2014, 04:16:10 AM
It would be better if all donations recieved in BTC/Doge however DRM will do fine. Only reason im saying this if hozer doesnt/will want to accept DRM

Why would he want .25 btc now over $35,000 if he keeps the faith? Thats fine though. I will give btc instead next time.

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Funding DRM's Anonymity project on: May 22, 2014, 04:15:12 AM
Let's put out an offer for someone really skilled, but give him insane deadlines and pay him one fifth of the bounty if he missed this deadline.

What a brilliant idea. If I were a programmer capable of implementing ring signatures in a satoshi based client within such a ridiculously short time, I sure as hell wouldn't make it for a random coin.

I'd make my own.

We're going to increase the time to 1 month. I myself know 1 week is ridiculous after contacting few pro coders. Still waiting for MyFarm. Please respond proactively thank you. Honestly why would u make your own when u cant handle it later? Scam a few peps that what ur saying?

If someone is capable of integrating ring signatures into the satoshi client, they are way more capable than you are anyways, so why would they do it for you instead of creating their own altcoin? Dreamcoin is looking to be the next big pump, that's it.

Because marketing is hard. If there's a **well distributed** community of motivated stakeholders **both big and small**, then it's WAY more lucrative for me to give the community something it wants than to go create yet another altcoin that might be technically interesting but has no active users. Besides, I don't learn anything releasing code that nobody runs.

Scamming is for bitcoiners. I'd like to believe this community has a dream of something better

See this guy is a hero for us, i love the fact that he doesnt just want to "make a new coin" as theres already hundreds rotting away and give DRM a new life as the first ever POS anon currency.

So here's the deal... You, the Dreamcoin community, have to make some hard decisions, and tell me what's really important. Cause I can do development fast, but to do that, I need to US dollars to pay my bills and possibly hire other people.

But I'd rather do **high quality work** rather than another quick pump-and-dump. That is NOT going to come quickly, and might involve dramatically changing some coin fundamentals, because there are a lot of broken fundamentals in different places because someone grabs something derived from the Satoshi bitcoin client, makes a change, and doesn't fully understand what they are doing.

Satoshi had a brilliant concept with blockchains, and Bitcoin was a great first implementation. Proof of stake was a pretty interesting addition. Now we have Dreamcoin, which has a great name. But you don't achieve your dreams without making a few mistakes, and learning from them along the way. So here's an idea.. wouldn't Dreamcoin be the ideal coin for a fully distributed crowdfunding system, like http://blog.vinumeris.com/2014/05/17/lighthouse/ ?

I could probably implement (and most importantly, test) some sort of ring signatures and/or darkcoin-like anonymity protections for $50k to $100K USD in a couple of months. If there's no money, and I'm doing this in my spare time, it might be 6 to 18 months. It might be a lot faster if there is a community that comes together out of something more that just the 'next big coin'.

Excellent post, looks like you will do the break test and etc yourself by the looks of it. Dreamcoin can become really professional through this quality work. Yeah man im sure we raise a atleast $5000 in the beginning and hey we have MyFarm. I sure aint looking for a shit pnd but a long term potential coin here. I understand that POS cryptonote is a different algo all together and it will be much harder if thats what you are aiming. I will try getting BTC and DRM addresses started later hopefully. Is there any chance you maybe commit full time to this at some point? I sent an email addressing ETA, could you state the processes you will be doing as well?

Hello everyone, it is unlikely many of you know Dreamcoin but we are aiming to be the most rarest and innovative anonymous coin in the ALTsphere. Dreamcoin current stands at 1.8mill total coins, with 15% annual POS interest.

What we want to do is transition Dreamcoin from a satoshi client to a monero and darksend client in order to become anonymous through both ways. This will make Dreamcoin to be the first Cryptonote/Darksend POS coin resulting in a new algorothim all together that will generate a lot of demand through the masses.

We are looking to achieve a goal of 100BTC in whatever form you can donate, here are the addresses:

1. DRM address: D67tnkGnibd1fe3gPLdmrsnRx2hhYYQh6g
2. BTC address: 1DoEFszLXdt6PB4nLEno4HtgvcTzqhFB34
3. Dogecoin address: DPaqvjVaLmo81ek29RPGqPzdys2MTxcrVD

Currently it is being traded at Poloniex as well: https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_drm

we can even use http://blog.vinumeris.com/2014/05/17/lighthouse/ to fund even more

No one is taking over this coin. I am the developer and I always will be unless someone wants to partner with me. I am really sick of reading posts about community takeover.
So can provide any future goals
seriously? goal?
the only goal for altcoin is only one, and forever one, TAKE OVER SATOSHI's THRONE!
X11 will take over any alt coins, why? better performance than scrypt, faster, more profit, 30% lower GPU temp.

only 1goal sir...
or did you think DRM will take over world's currency?  Cheesy hope so, i'll dream that too
"If you consider (like I am) crypto as startups, you will seek for the one with the best plans behind. And anonymity is NOT a plan. Anonymity is a feature. Same for multipools. Why the fuck should I care about a multipool if nobody wants the coin. So it's also a feature and not a plan. Branding is a plan; marketing is a plan; finding new ways to distribute a coin is a plan. In case you haven't understand yet, all those crypto pop'ing out are made by miners, for miners, so you have 2 solutions; p'n'd'n'die, or p'n'd'n'p'n'd' ' ' ', because of great community management / improving the infrastructure behind the coin; finding new ways to market it etc.

It can't rely on 1 man. Darkcoin have a great dev for sure, but would be nothing without its community and without their big holders keeping up a big part of its supply out of the market."   X11 is also a feature and not a plan. Community cohesion and unity is the best foundation for any plan any altcoin could hope to have. An organised minority will always rule over a disorganised majority.

Exactly what im saying, im making a new address to fund anonymity but we need other goals as well

This wont be the one that got away for me. Post up that new address asap so we can give. I know you wont dump it lol.

haha like that asshole, if everyone could give like 50% of their DRMs or maybe a good deal of BTC then we can easily fund what we need:
1. DRM address: D67tnkGnibd1fe3gPLdmrsnRx2hhYYQh6g
2. BTC address: 1DoEFszLXdt6PB4nLEno4HtgvcTzqhFB34
3. Dogecoin address: DPaqvjVaLmo81ek29RPGqPzdys2MTxcrVD

the reason why i say 50% of DRMs is this: if you know their going to be worth $10 each, then paying a little bit shouldnt hurt.
