541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 05, 2014, 10:15:03 PM
I see people took your comment seriously yesterday that you would start buying back Yin Yang off Polo up to 1000 sat. There are lots of coins now listed for sale right around the 1000 mark. It would be great if you could honor your statement at least for the people that acted on it yesterday.

Yes, but the buy back is not occurring until June 9th or 10th.

What if you explain to Bill from Bittrex that the IPO money is needed for the buy back, and will increase investor confidence no end?

It is after all part of the proposed deal, everyone knows its happening. What people can't be certain of is that you WILL buy the Yin/Yang when you have access to the IPO funds, surely if the funds are held by Bittrex until such time as the product is delivered, then by the same token, funds should be transferred to Poloniex, and the buy back begin immediately to ensure fairness for all.

Tell him that.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 05, 2014, 05:07:37 PM
As much as i wish you guys to succeed you should think more about what you are doing when you release something =/ it is like yinyang all over again. Good ideas and a lot of goodwill and poor implementation/execution... It just end up looking amateurish and scare investors away. A 180BTC ipo with pretty much half the total coin and at 6k sat is just way too much i think.
And it is no wonder ppl FUD over it.

As for the Yin/yang trade up do try and come up with a plan and stick to it. We have gone from a trade to HMY that changed value to a straight buyout at 1k then to no real value given or direction.
We just want to know what is going on and what the plan is. Put up a trade site or something that will give us a certain value either in btc or hmy ipo shares and then destroy the y/y coins and be done with it.
Because we get no real proof anyone is buying the coins on Polo and most importantly , at what price. I have been following Y/Y for a while ( even tho i am more lurking than posting ) and i post because i want it to work out and because i always believed in the team.. But it just get frustrating to see it all going this way and now the whole HMY fiasco / fud  Cry
Just need better PR and better planning .. and maybe ask the community some about what they are willing to do / buy as far as ipo goes.

I agree, and I think that I get too influenced by the community and it may seem wishy-washy because I am going back and forth between ideas to please everyone. I am talking with Bittrex now, and will probably restructure the IPO. Then we will be doing like a coin-swap as planned all along. You want a final idea, there it is. I apologize for everything that has led me astray, but it is very hard to be in the position I am in too when everyone is giving you a million ideas and gets upset if you don't choose theirs. Bittrex has told us that could host the swap too.

Well I'll just take the BTC thanks. If its not too much trouble.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 05, 2014, 04:30:58 PM

Hey guys, really no need to talk like this. I can't help it if they spread so much FUD in that thread. It wasn't solely my decision to go in on the IPO at 6K, but it really it is a pretty fair price looking at the what could be achieved. I'm still here, but I'm also busy with HarmonyCoin, and trying to rectify that situation. As noted, I have already started doing the buy back. Buying 2.7btc worth of Yin/Yang.
[/quote]

What a coincidence, that's exactly what my 270,000 Yin and Yang are worth! Fantastic!

So when will this transaction take place? My coins are on Poloniex right now, you can deposit the 2.7 BTC for them here:   14NvDLGDvhep1yX8QC4rdJXGbF7GHCZF84

So who is buying the Yin/Yang?

Where are they buying it?

How much for?
Crypto will. He has already bought a part of yin/yang and is going to continue buying it at poloniex when he gets more BTC. it'll probably be bought around 375-700:

If you are going to buy the coins i think the best way to do so would be to set a buy/sell wall at like .. 699/700 and so everyone know it stand there and sell (...)

I know, that is exactly what I am going to do. (...)

Right, well I distinctly remember the other guy saying he would buy them up to around 1000 satoshi's. This post has now been edited to read " I will buy them up to a fair price"

Who determines what is a fair price, the dev? Because the original plan was to return Yin/Yang to a 10,000 satoshi floor, and have a trade in for a new coin.

Then he was going to sell 500k coins in an IPO. He seems to have increased that amount quite significantly .

If you read the thread for the new coin, the kindest thing anyone has to say is that the IPO is overpriced, most feel that it's a scam, especially Bobsurplus, jumping up and down shouting "You've copied my coin, it's a scam" over and over. While he may be a complete hypocrite, his new coin merely being a copy of XBC and XLC, mud sticks. It gets the confetti GIF on page 5, which says it all really.

Promises of new values, a new coin to rival the top players, all turn to dust when you don't have a serious plan and keep changing direction. Jacking up the IPO like that? It just looks wrong.

Should we continue to vote on MP or will Harmony vote start from the scratch? Smiley

I'm really not sure.

Good thing only 1 made a paid vote But its a wasted effort for all the guys who continued voting for this coins if nothing better will come out of this.

I suggest if your so hard on doing Harmony make an IPO for it so that there will be funds for getting Harmony to Mintpal and then do the yin/yang swap.
Get the best possible coin dev and make the coin look better and not looking like a coingen product.
We have already the Multipool for mining, better the coin is POW/POS hybrid and with anon feature too.

Just my 2 cents (yin/yang coins)

Thank you, and that is literally everything that is planned, so were on the same page. Our dev is the goal coin dev and he is very hard working and innovative.

I agree the ipo would also help to keep an initial minimum price at the market.

lets say ipo sold at 3k sat , this would establish at least a 3k sat ground and from there it could start growing as much as cry maybe since harmony total cap will be lower.

The most important thing imo is the fact that dumpers from yin yang will have very much less power on the market.

Some of us ain't dumpers, I've been holding from day 1, got over 250k. I've said it before, but my concern is having to wait a week to swap my coins, and in that week the coin will get dumped on by the multipools. They don't care what coin it is, and they can't play the market hoping for a rise in price, they need BTC to pay the miners, some of those rigs are huge, and they gotta be paid for. I'm happy to support the dev's decision and the coin, hype it up, spread the word, etc, but is there no way to avoid the Yin/Yang holders getting the worst deal, and possibly becoming bagholders of a new coin?
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW POLL: Should newbs and Jr. members be barred from creating ALT ANN threads ? on: June 04, 2014, 06:13:09 AM
No-one should be banned, that wouldn't work in anyone's favour. Skilled dev's who are recently new to crypto may have brilliant ideas which never see the light of day if they are banned from creating a coin. Similarly, some people may have been on the scene for some time, but a lack of posts deems them a newbie.

However, as a newbie myself, I for one have had ENOUGH of all these shit, scam clones that are destroying this community, this industry, economy, whatever you want to call it, it has to stop, I mean how much longer can it go on without it becoming seriously damaging to BTC? The average man in the street doesn't even know what BTC is, but he's about to be confronted with an onslaught of shitcoins that's going to make the whole of crypto look like a joke. There's been hardly any new money flowing in to the system for months, and I believe this is the main reason.

What will happen to the hundreds of cloned coins out there? Who knows, but I think inevitably some of them will be picked up by criminal gangs and used to trade for their chosen commodity, whatever it may be. Exchanges only care about volume, all the criminal wants is clean, safe profit. Crypto gives him exactly what he needs, fast global transfers in an un-regulated, tax-free system, with a high level of anonymity, he couldn't have designed it better if he tried.

Well, that's my rant over, I've been trying to troll scam threads into in-to the ground as I find them, for me the funniest, and most expensive I've found is Universalcoin.
By my reckoning they want a total of 20,000 BTC for their IPO. Is that some kind of record? Can we start a Hall of Shame to keep track of scumbags like these? Might be a good place to educate noobs on what to look out for when they consider new coins.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTCtalkcoin [TALK] - Pure POS - Multipool Ready! - AirDrop Has Arrived on: June 04, 2014, 12:22:16 AM
Good job on the airdrop and finally getting it out. It's too bad it wasn't done sooner.
The funny thing, is that the Airdrop is ahead of the original schedule... which was to start on May 17th, and end a month later on June 17th  Cheesy  - the problem was that Rawdawg- first installment reached only ½ the people on the list...

But Hippie Tech was right, there was so many poppets on that list... even the original dev had two usernames on the list...   I removed as many as I could find, but more are popping out on the blockchain - it is even more obvious since the final Airdrop...

But I am not worried. The coin is destined to be of no value, very soon.  And will end up to be just a tipping coin - that's if we can get the network to keep working passed the max supply.

You see, the max supply coded is 63 561 840 coins (ref: main.h).  So far, the network has produced 62 683 254 coins (getinfo). Leaving only 878586 coins to mint.  When the max supply will be reached, in about a month --> no more rewards from minting = miners leaving = no (or very slow) network = no transactions possible = dead coin.  Unless, the miners wants to mint for nothing, which is possible.  Should be interesting...

It could always be forked and re-coded couldn't it? If its about to die, couldn't we have a go a saving it, maybe even come up with something no-one's tried before?

As nerioseole points out, the network is going to be slow, possibly even unusable, and this is a problem for all PoS coins when the mining phase ends.

A PoS network is always gonna be slow, the only thing powering it is a couple of thousand CPU's, compare that to the to the hashrate thrown at networks by GPU miners, you begin to understand why. The only way I see a PoS coin surviving would be one with a mass distribution, it would need to harness enough power to process transactions quickly enough to be usable in the real world. I could be totally wrong, but I'm guessing it's possible with enough wallets, but not a couple of thousand. I'm just an ideas guy, no coding skills or tech background, so I'm just throwing it out there, but what other solutions are there to this?

Hopefully one of the genius's out there reads this and has a light-bulb moment, alternatively, feel free to tell me that I've got it completely wrong, what a noob etc, etc.  Smiley

Cannot believe some of the sellers bailing out at these levels....

You would be amazed at the stupidity of some people lol.

XC is a good risk/reward coin right now but I believe there is better coins on the market with a better risk/reward ration evaluation. Some coins are meant to explode within the next 14 days. Do your homeworks.

Don't tease us! What coins are you talking about?

Do you have any ideas on how to minimise the effect of dumping, thereby protecting the price floor you are trying to maintain?

How about a high block maturity time? This might attract miners who are less interested in dumping, and it might mean the coin isn't battered by the multipools.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 03, 2014, 03:03:07 PM
Plus, if you start with the swap, the swap would be the actual IPO.. unless you are talking about another IPO than Initial public offering ..

Are people going to invest when they know it's not really an IPO ?

And will we get enough 'ipo' investments at 7000 sat for harmony?

I'm talking about doing the coin-swap first for 3 days for all the coins. This is kind of like a first round ipo because people will be able to buy yin/yang off polo for the swap. Then doing the real ipo on bittrex, and then the actual HMY/BTC markets will go live as POW starts. People who swap for Harmony won't be able to set sells until after the IPO is finished.

Scratch this idea. I'll just have Poloniex remove the Yin/Yang markets and I'll start Harmony with an IPO then do the swap as originally planned. Don't know why I didn't think about this earlier.

If Yin/Yang holders don't get Harmony until a week after launch, the multipools will have dumped all over any IPO price/floor that you set. How is this fair to people who need to trade-in their Yin/Yang?

Let me put it like this then, I see three people connected to XBC launching an IPO for a new coin while XBC continues to slide into the gutter. You say you've not abandoned XBC, yet your actions contradict you. This coin is being launched as direct competitor to XBC, so I take it that you don't know what is meant by conflict of interest? Does it need to be spelled out for you?
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 02, 2014, 11:59:38 PM
I did. It was merely a question on your choice of exchange. Things aren't clear if you do them in a round-about fashion. I mean, where can I buy Yin/Yang? On Poloniex, so people would naturally think you'd hold the swap there.

It was just a question mate.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] Yincoin/Yangcoin ☯☯ Destroying Coins on: June 02, 2014, 11:38:13 PM
Just secured Coin-Swap for the swap between Yin/Yang and HARMONY.

may I ask why not on Poloniex? since many of our coins are already there? Busoni could actually auto set it up... so everyone gets a certain % harmony right?

I second this idea...makes the most sense.

That would be nice, but it's not gonna happen. It's not hard to just transfer your coins to another exchange and then trade them for harmony.

Are you choosing a low volume exchange to avoid dumping?

So this is like XBC, but scrypt?

Didn't XBCplus already make one of those? I seem to remember something like that.

And why will this succeed when you can't even get XBC off the ground?

558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UniversalCoin (UNV) - The 0.01 BTC minimum value coin - on: June 02, 2014, 05:55:41 PM
I think your IPO is FAR to cheap, and the total number of coins is FAR to low.

Because at the moment, the 0.01% you have allocated for the IPO works out to be a mere 20,000 BTC

Which is almost nothing for all your hard work copying, I'm sorry, I mean developing this coin.

May I suggest a minimum price of 1000 BTC per UNV, total coins should be AT LEAST 1 Decillion, with ALL the pre-mine being used for the IPO. This will ensure that your hard work is fully rewarded, and enable you to enjoy some of life's luxuries, such as solid gold shoes, and being Emperor of the Universe.

After all, you deserve it!

Here is what I do everytime a post is deleted:

I've seen that. I've also seen people asking awkward questions, questions which have not yet received a satisfactory answer, have their posts deleted, and the subject brushed aside.
