541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡BQT - SOCIAL P2P CRYPTO EXCHANGE AND HEDGE TRADING PLATFORM ⚡ on: August 31, 2018, 10:25:53 AM
BQT was present in Blockchain Summit Singapore 2018 and Edward, BQT CEO, was one of the speakers. I searched for a video and saw one: https://youtu.be/o4AIF1w7d_Q (start at 5:48:50)

I quoted this post with images as well, for others especially the followers of this thread to see. Thanks @Zapo for sharing!
Here are some pics from the conference BQT went to this week!

542  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org is SCAM !! DO NOT USE THIS WALLET !! on: August 31, 2018, 09:09:02 AM
thank you respond !
you posted freewallet.org support page link do not found any about them description text is a "Go to the “Backup” sidebar" ,i just found this [1] "Settings" -> [2] "Export wallet" for them website
Ah, meaning you directly use their website and not their app? (correct me if I'm wrong)
If you already gave the info they want, you just need to wait for their reply and action. You gave a thread link of a user with the same case, I read the discussion and in the end his case got solved. Good luck!

If you can't export these recovery phrases then why they never include that statement in the link I have posted above which they made and posted on their support page? That's stupid, and exporting recovery seed of a wallet doesn't work like that.
I got it now, most likely the link you gave is exclusive for Lite wallet and it seems that OP is not using the app.
543  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Anyone heard about bitraffic? on: August 31, 2018, 12:31:54 AM
I haven't worked with them, but I found their ANN Thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2432870.0 . Their account is still active until now

They received mixed reviews (both positive and negative). Check the recent pages of their ANN first, plus read their FAQ (Publisher|Advertiser) and review their Terms and Conditions, then decide whether you want to try/use their service. If you will use it, just make sure that no cheating involved in terms of traffic.
544  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org is SCAM !! DO NOT USE THIS WALLET !! on: August 30, 2018, 10:47:23 PM
thank you respond .
freewallet.org export private-key or 12-word seed will auto transfer all amount to new bitcoin address ,
so this action still require email verification , and still have the this problem. can't send any amount to new address
Why would your balance be transferred to a new Bitcoin address? That's not how exporting keys work. Freewallet is just an app/software to manage your balances, if you export your keys and import it to another app/software (like Electrum), your address will be the same and no transactions will be made.

For instructions, just refer to bL4nkcode's post.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: add coin to yobit how? on: August 29, 2018, 11:22:24 PM
@OP, both links are working, you can distinguish the difference with just the links (addcoin | addtoken). If you're not confused between coin and token, then you're good to go, use https://yobit.net/en/addcoin since that's what you're asking.

I'm not sure if they will answer you, even those with the accounts issue barely receive a response (tbh, so far, I have never seen anyone here who confirm receiving a reply from them). You better read the requirements on the site and just fill out the form for application.
546  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1000 Fake User Registrations in Bounty Campaigns on: August 29, 2018, 05:30:16 PM
Most bounty managers can quickly spot them and removed those cheaters. However, its better to inform the bounty managers as well so that those cheaters can't get away with this. Those cheaters really evolved, they really are one step ahead of the game, so its really hard to spot them unless someone calls it like the OP did. Good job!!!
If the bounty manager can conclude a procedure to get rid of these cheaters like requiring them to post the same address of a particular participant on their BTT profiles and on their forms then cheaters will be lessened to get through.
I saw that most of the bounty managers asking for proof of authentication while joining the campaigns so it maybe helpful to restrict them but all the campaign managers need to implement this strategy to remove those smart scammers.

You mean the one they do by posting in thread? If that is what you meant then I don't think it is effective at all since someone with a coding experience can make a bot and automate this proof of authentication.
Maybe if the cheaters are using their own profiles, but if they use another member's username and bitcointalk profile link in the form I think it's effective because they couldn't post proof of authentication in the thread using the original account. Well, it will still be nonsense if the manager makes it a requirement yet will not check and confirm one by one.

I believe these users sunlitit654 (banned), MilfordGannon (banned) and annasadia (banned) copy/paraphrase/text spin the original content. They posted it in the same thread one after the other. Though it's not necessary to include, these 3 users, including the one who posted the original were reported as connected accounts here.

the most important thing is we should do research about wallet because if it is user friendly and secure then we can adapt this because that time it is safe to use also we need to check the articles properly about wallet.
The first and foremost thing we need to see is whether the wallet is a secure one and on top of that, whether it is user friendly or not. If these two criteria are fulfilled then there is no harm in going for the ones mentioned in the article.
Original:
Based on this article it looks good but before choosing or using this we need to aware of something that is this wallet is secure or not also it is user friendly or not we should think about this if this full fill this criteria then we can adapt this.

I have checked some of their previous post too.

Like our real, physical monetary world where USD is the main currency in the market, bitcoin is like American dollar in the crypto market. In the real world other local currency market depends on the market of USD . in crypto market all the other coins also depends on the market of bitcoin, these all other coins are alt coin.
Original:
The post remembers my first beginning time when I was so much confused about the words and what they meant. In crypto currency the currency is compared with coins. The coins are the currency. Like our real currency world there are many currencies as USD, Australian Dollar, Euro, pound and so on. In crypto currency Bitcoin is like one of them and other coins are altcoin.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recover Alt Coin Sent in an Old Wallet on: August 29, 2018, 07:37:32 AM
It seems that it was received.
By saying old wallet you mean there's a new version? If yes then download it first, but don't open yet. Then:

  • Go to Appdata\Roaming in your computer.
  • Search for the wallet folder, I assume it's Ragnarok, open it and copy the wallet.dat then paste it somewhere safe for back up
  • Go back to Ragnarok folder, except the wallet.dat delete all other files/folders inside
  • Open your newly downloaded wallet. It will automatically generate the folder files in Roaming, but will not overwrite the wallet.dat
  • Let it sync

If the wallet generate a folder with a different name from the old one (RagnarokV2 for example), just copy your back up wallet.dat and paste it there (replace the new one) then let the wallet sync.

If still having issues, it would be better to contact the team and ask for help.

can be ensured that the gas price is too low and the transaction is not continued. it is likely to be returned in or returned within a few days. I have experienced the same event. include transaction proof or screenshoot to make it clearer.
It is a coin, not a token.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QTUM wallet suggestions on: August 28, 2018, 11:31:44 PM
If you're looking for a wallet of a specific coin, isn't the first source you should check is their website? Qtum has both its official wallets and other wallets that support it. You can view all here: https://qtumeco.io/wallet

I checked your post history (2 posts, including this one). Both have the links directed to that site, so I assume that the site is yours and you're not really asking for suggestions. If I'm right, I suggest you to just officially announce your website in one thread rather than pretending that it's your source or you are asking questions to promote it and get traffic.
550  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Jaxx wallet restored from seed words - empty on: August 28, 2018, 10:53:23 PM
I don't think your Eth was lost. Jaxx sometimes doesn't show the correct balance of the wallet, if you're sure with your 12 words seed (including the sequence) and there were no transactions that have been made, then your funds are there.

  • Are you using the latest version of the wallet? If not, update it to version 1.3.18
  • If still not showing, try restoring your wallet on other jaxx platform (Mobile: Android/iPhone, Tablet/iPad, Chrome Extension)

If you want further assistance, then you should contact their support by:

PS. You can also restore it using other wallets that supports 12-word mnemonic phrase.
551  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp Account frozen problem on: August 28, 2018, 08:08:42 PM
Maybe milewilda is right, but no one here could confirm that. It would be better if you contact them directly to know exactly what happened or what's currently happening with your account, either through mail (support@bitstamp.net), support ticket system (https://www.bitstamp.net/support/), or DM on twitter (https://twitter.com/Bitstamp - I think this is the fastest way).

For all MEW users here, if you didn't know yet, MEW team is currently working on a Mobile App. If you want it and prefer to use MEW mobile app in the future, let them know how you love and hate MEW by answering their survey.

Survey Link: https://myetherwallet.typeform.com/to/wKHIDY

It's a good thing that the team considers the users' opinion. I have finished the survey and it didn't take long, there are only 8 MEW questions to be answered Smiley

PS. I searched and didn't see a thread about it yet, if there's one already available, please let me know or a mod can just delete this. Thanks!
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ANYONE KNOW ABOUT YOBIT EXCHANGE AND THEIR YOBICODES? on: August 28, 2018, 04:16:00 PM
You already have the Yobicode right?

1. Copy that and paste in a Notepad or any text editor
2. Create another Yobit account (if you have not done yet)
3. Using the new account, go to the Yobicode page
4. Click the  Activate Yobicode   button
5. Paste the Yobicode you made from the old account, solve captcha, and click  Activate

And... that's it!

Just like that?  Wow!  Thank you so much . Going to give it a try right away
I personally have not tried it, but as far as I know that's how it works (like E-Gift Cards). After clicking activate, the balance should be visible in your new account. Go ahead and try, then please confirm here if it worked or not.
554  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anyone use Poloniex recently, after they were purchased by Circle? on: August 27, 2018, 11:01:20 PM
I have not used the site recently, but by checking their ANN thread (visit last few pages) and Unofficial sub reddit, it seems that there are still lot's of problems with the site. Just like in other exchanges, support and withdrawal issues still exists, but what's worrisome in Polo is that several accounts are being locked/frozen (even the verified ones). Knowing that, I don't think it's a good idea to come back and risk your funds.
555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Instagramers approaching me non-stop on: August 27, 2018, 10:20:33 PM
Who are these people? They are the type of people who take advantage of the weaknesses of others to earn.

There's a saying here: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"
If their offer made you think questions like these, "how could they do that?", "how come xx USD could be xxx USD?", "Where will the money come from?", then don't take it seriously and just ignore.

If you want to earn, work for it (do some services, trade, etc.). Don't just invest money, earning without exerting time and effort is most likely scam.

Take note that, you will not just receive offers like this on instagram, they are everywhere (twitter, facebook and other SNS). Plus, you'll see investment offers through banners as well, so be careful.

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token wallets with coinminer virus on: August 27, 2018, 09:20:37 PM
It's good that you pay attention to such things (others may not). Which wallet are you talking about btw? It will be helpful if you share here.

A MUST DO: Always be cautious with what you click or download, our PC can be infected with just one click. Whether or not the software or files we download are connected to cryptocurrency, it is really advisable to have a good anti-malware / anti-virus software for protection.

559  Economy / Services / Re: 🔷 TV-TWO Signature Campaign 🔷 [Hero/Legend Only] [ENDED] on: August 26, 2018, 11:55:59 PM

Dear Bounty Hunters,

We have received an updated opinion from our legal council that urges TV-TWO to perform KYC on all individuals and companies that receive our tokens. While this is nothing new concerning our investors, it does come as a surprise to us that this also covers any entity that participated in marketing and bounty activities. The change comes in light of new regulation that qualifies transferring tokens to sanctioned parties as aiding and abetting in criminal activity.

What does this mean? We need to ask any bounty hunter to complete the following KYC form on the TV-TWO website: https://tv-two.com/bounty.html.
During the process, please enter the same Ethereum address that you have used in the bounty spreadsheets. Once your KYC is reviewed and approved, we will transfer the tokens that you have earned during the campaign to your wallet. Distribution starts on August 24.

We are sorry that this requirement is only communicated now. We would have loved to do the bounty without KYC, but if regulations change, companies that want to flourish need to adapt. We are here for the long-run, so we ask you for your support.
That's absurd and wasn't there until recently - passport/government issued id and then a selfie before one can receive tokens worked for about 6 months ago! Can you tell me the worth of tokens accrueable to a Hero Member for 5 weeks work?

Flabbergasted by that requirement and to my surprise, they announced it last year? I honestly didn't know that we should submit any document for KYC just to receive the token that we've earned few months ago. We are here practicing our best to be anonymous in this forum and they'll just ask us documents that will literally identify us for mere tokens that we don't know the value of all in all.

Can anyone here comment on whether they received the token or not?
No it wasn't. The KYC thing was announced recently, it's just that the main post was made last year (if you're basing it on the quote date, but you can see the last edit date in the main post) .

I'm quite disappointed because I really like the token and I waited for this. I also participated in their twitter campaign and now because of the KYC, the work becomes nonsense. You cannot even talk about it with them in any other way than email.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH amount hacked by Clipboard attack! on: August 26, 2018, 03:37:55 PM
Copy Paste Malware/Virus.

If you don't want to be a victim, just don't rush when payments/transactions are involve. Tbh, it should always be like that, right? ( well, for me it's a MUST). A minute or two would be enough to double/triple check the address/private key that we pasted.

I have seen so many people have been getting the same case as your friend. Basically your friend's PC has been affected by ransom ware that has copied the scammer's address to the clip board. You should remind your friend to keep update and never try to click on any suspicious link. It seems like your friend being trapped by scammer.
Ransomware is different, the malware encrypts your files and it will not be decrypted unless you pay a ransom to the address given. Friend of mine experienced it, but he didn't pay and decided to just reset the PC (fortunately he has a back up of the files)
