5421  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the policy on Sibyl accounts made for attempted flag manipulation? on: January 10, 2020, 04:41:27 AM
For voting - maybe. For creating a flag - no. Scammed newbies need to be able to create flags. It would be nice to have a limit on how many flags they can create
When you (In this case it seems that the person is me) are drinking on a lazy day in the local pub and if you already have drunk a lot then slip of tongue (better to say fingers on the keys) like this (restricting to create flags) is acceptable. What I mean by this is that you have a valid point here and I have edited my last post after seeing your response :-)

but on the other hand Bitcoin SV and other "advanced" sockpuppets are able to farm merits fairly easily so that wouldn't be much of an impediment for them anyway.
True but as usual someone will spot it and will bring it to our attention.
5422  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of recent username changes in Bitcointalk on: January 10, 2020, 04:28:12 AM
Did someone thought about the effect of this username changes on the other users trust lists who have included or excluded them ? Like trust list is organised by using the usernames of the accounts and not UID so even after username change the UID remains same and only the username would be changed. Most of the user's trust list would be up with one of the old username and all gets messed up.
The trust list in our trust setting page, takes the usernames but stores in the database using the userID (u). So changing username is not effecting anyone trust list. I had El duderino_ in my trust list when he had his previous username and I see it has been changed to El duderino_ without needing any touch from me.

May be for scrappers like LoyceV, DdmrDdmr and others will find some difficulties with this username changes but with the system, I think we are really fine.

That's not cool. I hope mods make an exception for asu otherwise he'll get banned for evasion if some asshole reports him.
Technically yes but practically it will be very wrong. Rules are made (al-thought we do not have any official rules) to protect the community not to use against it.

If we act practical then I do not see any problem at all.
5423  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the policy on Sibyl accounts made for attempted flag manipulation? on: January 10, 2020, 04:21:47 AM
Note the word “attempted” in the subject.
Noted. It's a great idea to edit the response title that suits the needs.

I know full well that it carries no weight
I too was wondering how it's not known by a user like you (seems to have good grasp than most of the members in the forum). Good thing is that I was not wrong.

Quote
but it’s obscenely abusive.  I am not “fine with it”.  It is a Sibyl attack, and it is spam of the trust system.
Absolutely and this is not the only user in the system. We have game-protect and many other users who do constant abuse of trust feedback system. And you already realized that I too is not fine with it.

Quote
The theoretical futility of the act does not alter this.
Fact.

the retaliatory flags against PrimeNumber7 and now Lauda (!) are just plain stupid
Yes and it seems the flags created by the user The-Devil are very wrong after all and according to your language, "I am not fine with it" in other words, I oppose the flags created against the users PrimeNumber7 and Lauda.

Quote
I think it really boils down to the question of whether the forum’s administration wants to let such useless Sibyls lie dormant indefinitely, or clean them up as the trash they are.  As a practical matter, I don’t have a strong opinion on which way they should handle this; but the question is worth broaching.
I too have not much strong opinion but if I someone asks me while I am drinking in the pub on a nice evening with an intend to start a conversation with me then I would say, yeah put some restrictions (possibly allow a minimum rank) for users before they are able to create flags and also to vote. This will eliminate the brand new fake accounts to abuse with false support or oppose in a flag.

Guys!
New pool for India vs Sri Lanka.

India vs Sri Lanka 3rd and final T20I of the series. First match washed out, in the 2nd match India had very easy win but this 3rd match is a different game and to win the series India needs to win again or series draw. Who do you think will win? Let's response with picking your option in the pool.

5427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Question] How to transfer Eth Collectible from coinbase to another eth wallet on: January 10, 2020, 02:44:59 AM
I have never heard of this Eth Collectible but considering it is an ERC20 token from your description above. And in this case you just need an ETH address to send the tokens. However you will need to have some ETH in your counbase to pay the GAS price I guess.

It should not be something very hard to do. I am sure if you search in any search engine then you will find better answer. I am not a coinbase user nor good at knowing all the tokens too.
5428  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is the policy on Sibyl accounts made for attempted flag manipulation? on: January 09, 2020, 10:14:40 PM
What is the forum’s policy on accounts created for the purpose of supporting/opposing flags?
Supporting or opposing a flag from a non-DT account does not carry much weight. So we all should be fine with it. Talking about this flag from the user The-Devil seems very uninformed step. And it's not unexpected as per my opinion since that use is fairly new to the forum affairs.

I will be opposing this flag too.
5429  Economy / Reputation / Re: Overview of recent username changes in Bitcointalk on: January 09, 2020, 07:55:43 PM
For long time reputation board was a bit quite and now it seems to have some life again with this new directions  of name changing. Lately I have noticed a lot of the users to do that and as long as the admin is okay with it then I see no problem here. I really do not see any need for discussions too. If those users want privacy then let them have it. Some of them earned the respect from the community for sure.

I too wouldn't mind having more privacy, but once it's gone, there's no way to get it back.
Actually we can. Just stop talking about it and let the topic to be buried under tons of topics we have in the board. Not everyone is LoyceV or other guys who are good at analysing data. Not talking about it anymore at-least will give a semi privacy for those users. Let them enjoy it at-least.

Everyone has their reasons and we should be okay with it instead of pointing out our fingers on them.

5431  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: ! Bitcoin Clients not longer offering possibility to send to multiple addresses on: January 09, 2020, 07:35:55 PM
I have used Blockchain wallet when I was really new to the game. I never used Mycelium but I have a Electrum android which I use very rarely when I am traveling to be exact. So, never had this need even to check if we can have multiple output in one Tx.

Why don't you use Electrum desktop wallet? You can have full control over your coins if you are really not into running the full node.

Do using Bitcoin core allow operating such transactions ?
The answer is yes of course.

5432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the Bitcoin in my wallet lesser than before? Hacked? on: January 08, 2020, 04:19:35 PM
I am using Coinhako Wallet.

¬snip¬

As you can see, there is a discrepancy between how much bitcoin I bought and how much bitcoin there is left in the coinhako wallet.

In this case someone familiar with coinhako environment can help you or as I said before, please contact their customer support.

A random thought: Are you sure that you have bought the BTC? On the top I see
Total value: SGD 75.43
Coinhako wallet SGD 75.43

https://i.imgur.com/RbW7X8Q.png

It does not say Coinhako wallet BTC 0.xxx

Back in 2017 when you were going to buy the BTC the price was 5593.xx
And now the price is 11,132.xx

If you have not bought the BTC then it is showing the value against SGD and since the price gone up, you are seeing less btc amount (if I am making sense of course).

Edit: Can you check your Wallet history instead of Trade history?
5433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the Bitcoin in my wallet lesser than before? Hacked? on: January 08, 2020, 04:07:06 PM
I was not much familiar with coinhako until now. Just had a look and it seems they are an online exchange and they give you their own wallet. And if I am correct about coinhako and if your coins are still in coinhako then you need to contact their customer service.

And if I assume that you moved the BTC from coinhako to your own wallet then they must have a withdrawal history. Check the withdrawal history. Check the amount of the BTC you sent and the amount you received to the address you sent from coinhako.

Edit:
How can I check my wallet address? I don't remember generating any wallet address.

And my wallet trade history shows only one buy order which I made. There have been no other trades shown.
Seems like you funds are in your coinhako account? In this case you need to contact their customer service.

do you have -anything- else that might slightly be intelligent to say or do I have to report you?
It's clear that you are someone who needs medical attention especially a psychiatrist. You seriously have no idea about the things you talk. Look around and keep your eyes open you will see you are an element of entertainment here.

By the way, I am wondering what will be your reason for reporting my post?

5435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Mutual betting pool] SA vs ENG 2nd Test 3/1 08:30 GMT on: January 08, 2020, 08:15:55 AM
Congratulation Royse. it was really good and well fought game from both sides, you know its good game when you gets the result in last 30 minutes in 5th day. Enjoyed every moment except England's second inning, it looked one-sided game that time. Boy i was wrong!! (good for South Africa)

Ben Stokes did it again, good start for him in 2020 . 70+ runs, 4-5 catch at slip and last 3 wickets. hope he gets the Man of the Match.
I did miss the last session to watch. I had to go out for some work. When I checked the final scoreboard it was satisfying to see. Stokesi again the Hero which is turning out to be a regular thing in English squad lately. But over all it was a great Test to enjoy.

Yeah, Stokesi is the man of the match and finally I got myself in the winning side :-D

Thanks by the way. Closing this pool and going to open another pool for the next Test.

Cheers,

My money on England but I would really like to see the South African batsmen are fighting untill the end. So far they done really good and honestly speaking I did not expect this far them to come.

It's pretty clear that SA is fighting for a draw and England is giving there best to pick up the last 5 wickets. England needed Archer and Anderson seems to having physical issue.

5439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 07, 2020, 05:38:01 AM
¬snip¬

As I had pointed out earlier, there is only one solution that works 100%. That is to build a stadium with retractable roofing.
Dew, wind, sunshine are some of the key elements that play a vital roll in a cricket match. Without wind and moisture pitch ball will not swing, bowling will be like throwing it in a flat cement pitch. In a day-night match we see how vital the dew factor is. Let's not mention the needs of sunlight of course. With a retractable roofing won't we miss wind, dew?

May be in the future we will see ICC will come up with some wired ideas or such but if the bowlers lose all their weapons then we will see in a ODI match, the team who are batting first is giving 550 to 600 runs target and the opponent team is chasing down the run successfully. In a T20 match first batting team is giving 400+ runs target and the chasing team is chasing it successfully. Will that be cricket anymore?

The bowling unit for the teams will turn out to be a joke and let's say the teams will decide to play the match with 10 batsmen and a bowling matching which will be replaced by the last man of the team. It will not look good :-D
