WTF?! Somebody wants cheap coins.

edit: lol sorry, I'm watching the charts too closely.

I save myself the apology and just delete Wink  (as long as no quote... too late, lol)

Yeah... I figured I might have excited a few people already Wink  It did push us over 14k on finex though (if ever so briefly)

Try to use the Via BTC accelerator

https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
Cry
Sorry, your TXID doesn't exist  when I use accelerator.

You have to hit that accelerator right on the hour as only 100 tx are allowed per hour.  Also it is very busy most of the time.  You might have more luck getting the tx accelerated if you have more than one person attempting to get it through.  You have one minute!

He got a confirm. 45k lost. Sad

Man that's hard to take.  Sorry to hear that.
5464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin was stolen, help! on: December 28, 2017, 09:39:52 PM
Was able to get the transaction link to load. I am very new to BTC trading, so I apologize. I can show whatever you need me to as long as it is safe to do so.

I am not sure at all how this happened. I logged onto coinbase to check how my Wallets are doing, and my BTC Wallet was completely empty. I had only $25 worth in my wallet so it isn't much (today that would be worth around $23 since I bought at a bad time). I have provided screenshots to back this up. It says I sent all of the Bitcoin and when I click the link to view transaction, it does not load.

I only use a private computer at my home for coinbase and my cell phone, so all coinbase public use could not have happened.

I attempted to contact coinbase about this but was shut down and was told transactions cannot be cancelled even though that was not my issue.

I completely understand if this is like sacrilegious to do, but I also included my Bitcoin address if you feel like helping out just until I get the $23 value back. Will delete this if I do reach the $23 I had before and will provide an update showing that I deleted the post at that point (so everyone knows this is not a scam). If I do succeed in contacting coinbase to get my money back, I will make sure all donations are sent back/refunded.

Thank you so much and if you have any advice please let me know!

Firstly, that's not proof of anything.  It's a picture of a random tx.
Post some txids in text format and stop dicking around with useless images.

You've already been compromised so I'm not sure how much more unsafe you could be.
Some people worry about giving away their anonymity by posting a transaction ID but you've already posted your address.  Copy and paste the address into one of your posts and we can find the txid from there.
From what I can see, the funds were eaten by fees anyway so... the thief didn't get much.

Thanks for taking one for the team - it might just work.  We owe you.

Won't load in chrome but loaded in Firefox...

Trezor trouble shooter screen wont load for me in IE 11 ever!

I can't believe any Bitcoiner would use some sleazy corporate browser like Chrome or IE when there's an honest open-source option in Firefox.

Oh this should be good...

Smiley I can't get angry with old Jimbo.  He's had a tough life.

 Yeah I know...
I tried to switch several times to Mozilla but I needed to be able to magnify the screen so I could see it and the zoom feature in Firefox was less than adequate... some things on the page would resize; some things would not but in IE, it was always perfect resizing of all elements.  I know Mozilla has fixed that ctrl+ thingy but old habits die hard.

Anyone else having trouble loading accounts on Trezor? v1.6
Stuck on the loading accounts screen

Nope, mine loaded in less than 2 seconds.
Won't load in chrome but loaded in Firefox. These chunks of plastic freak me out sometimes.

5474  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newbie question on: December 26, 2017, 02:37:58 AM
If Antminer a9 Antminer S9 generates about 0.3 bitcoins per month, which is about 4000 us$, why people talks about 300us$ incoming per month??

Who told you an S9 could generate 0.3 Bitcoins per month?  They lied.  You'd be lucky to see 0.06 per month and you'd have a utility bill of ~$100 (if $0.10/kWh for electricity).
That's providing the difficulty stays were it is for a couple of adjustment periods... which doesn't happen very often.

So anyone buying their other half or family members some BTC for Christmas?

I've given each of the progeny (3 kids, 2 inlaws, 2 grandkids) 1 BTC each of the last three xmases. I see no reason to divert. This year, they'll be wrapped in Ledger Nano Ss.

O.k.

I understand that each of us have our proclivities for generousity, or not, but that sounds financially ridiculous for normal people.

I am presuming that you and I have similar quantities of bitcoin, and it seems ridiculous to me to give away gifts that are valued at about 40x more than they were two years ago and three years ago - merely because it is your tradition to give away the unit value of bitcoin, but bitcoin is measured in terms of dollars - and 40x just seems too outrageous.

Awww come on JJG lighten up.  The man can do what he wants with his Bitcoin and it's family for crying out loud!
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that jbreher doesn't fall into the financially normal category anyway.

edit: to correct grammatical error

Just found a stack of paper wallets from 2015. I was giving away 0.05 Bitcoi in each and these were the leftovers. It’s a nice find I didn’t know I had it....

Yep.   All of a sudden scrap amounts become real money.

It is kind of bullshit, though, regarding how some of these people treat their gifts, and I have a few war stories regarding that too.

My friend recently contacted me, and told me that he was looking for his son's $40 bitcoin transaction that I had sent for a graduation gift.

Mind you I sent $40 to the son and $10 to the dad, in order that they could, perhaps, learn together about bitcoin.  The price was around $380 at the time... So, a couple of times a year, I would remind him about bitcoin and ask him if he had retrieved the bitcoin... did it through Circle....  He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, he still has access to the e-mail account, and just a few weeks ago when he contacted me, he asked me if I could recover the coins because he said that he did not have access to the e-mail accounts.  The son's value was something like $1,740 and the dads value was something like $440.  Crazy.  I think that they lost everything, unless they can regain access to their earlier e-mails, perhaps there is a way... I think that it was a private domain e-mail that their family administrator allowed the domain to expire.

Anyone used one of these hubs to run there 2pacs ?
From electrical data should work for two sticks at about 150 to 200 MHz per stick. At least with a corret voltage setting. Thats my experience.
This hub has a 24 W power supply. Mine has 30 W and I´m running two sticks at 250 MHz. And thats the absolute limit of my tests that succeded.

I'm seeing 12V 3A power supply in the detail of the link.

Torque

When I first showed back up you gently, but firmly, advised me not to feed the troll.

I'm here to return the favor.

I'm done. By confronting the troll directly and him not directly answering my question, I think anyone else reading this thread will understand that he's just wasting people's time.

But I ask you this then in return, why has he not been perma-banned from the WO thread? Or at least his posts deleted, if we ALL can agree that he's just a troll? Why should we all suffer this idiot whilst he constantly spams the WO thread with his drivel?

i second that. infofront, ban him.

Why make the decision for the user, there's an ignore button that's just as useful, unless of course s/he manages to get another noob to quote him/her.

Infofront doesn't have ban powers anyway.  In fact, he's moderator of this thread only so all he can do is chew bubblegum or delete posts and he has a lot of gum.
