5481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs: The "Soon" Game - For those who can hardly relate on: November 22, 2019, 08:02:29 AM
So many users have been fulfilling KYC requirements since 2017 till date, giving out their home address, pictures, passport etc to someone they do not know, someone you cannot be sure what they are going to do with such important documents. If you care about your safety, privacy and security, stop meeting KYC processes.

So many of those ICO's just as your story goes never got listed, you could wait close to six to seven months for the whole process to be completed only for the coin not to get listed, at the end of the day, users would be left with unlisted tokens in their wallet. Sad
5482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 22, 2019, 07:28:43 AM
I'd still prefer those coins with good daily volumes though. I mean if they are attracting investors to trade their coin, then that would say they are still healthy and kicking.
It is not the best thing to do, there was a coin that was trending at the beginning of last year, and the buzz was so much, there was so much investors, prospects, their telegram handle was booming as people spoke of how the coin will get to the moon and how they'll get their lambo, the trading volume was so high and I had to join in and I bought quite a lot.

I still regret that till today, slowly the whole buzz was dying down, we then realized they actually didn't have any use case, it was all just a plan to attract investors, and the volume was actually fake. Soon they stopped conversations on the group, you could only read their fake updates, according to them they changed ceo and we never got to hear from the new one. That was the end of that coin with all their trading volume, it can mislead investors.

Hopefully, they don't take it too personally, especially coming from pundits who make money by spewing some bullshit regularly.
And some of this pundits have actually tried out their luck as managers and they all performed poorly, individuals such as Gary Neville, thiery Henry, Scholes etc, they all had difficult times during their short spell as managers and this lead to early departures, it's easier to sit and criticize than to be put in that position to do something.

I saw some websites yesterday claiming pochettino would perfectly fit Manchester City, if pep Guardiola leaves at the end of the season, I am forced to believe that could be true, poch's style of play has some similarities, but I do not think Guardiola would leave city this season.

5484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam? on: November 21, 2019, 05:13:36 AM
It is a scam, the second you send him that 2 bitcoins, he'll either stop communicating with you, or if he feels you're gullible, he could come up with a different story to get more money from you, it's in your best interest to cut that communication with that scammer. What platform are you communicating in, report his account there, he is a scammer.
A person I know, who I have been in contact with for months now (through social media), has been trading bitcoin for me and some friends. Everything seems to be fine and seems to be really trustworthy.
Never entrust your funds to someone else to trade for you, they(scammer)would initially build trust with their victims so you do not suspect anything, then you'll think they are trustworthy and can also refer others, the moment they've done that, they would start their request(scam attempt), just as you're asked to deposit 2 BTC for shit. If you do not know how to trade, do not trade till you've learnt how to do so.
5485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [MERIT GIVEAWAY] Open to Newbies and jr members on: November 20, 2019, 10:28:42 AM
Hello there,
I posted my link since forever and you didn't even give a comment about it
This is the post you're referring to that was neglected right, while the post may not be too bad, neither is too good also, but I would advice that if you really have any plans to earn merits for yourself, you must decide if you want to rank up or if you want to continue with your social media bounties, because thats what I could find when I went through your post history.

I actually reviewed it, hoping I could find some other posts other than the one you linked, but I could not, maybe thats why you have not earned any merits on the forum, the merit sources and users who give merits most times check post history before they do so, especially if it is a newbie they want to give merits to.
5486  Other / Meta / Re: I'm Hero Member Now - Thank You Everyone on: November 20, 2019, 09:12:02 AM
Just enjoy the challenges, keep the dream to rank up, and keep positive contributions to the forum.
It is really a challenge, a good one, when you get to see other users ranking up, you're surely going to challenge yourself to follow in their footsteps, except of course you do not have any goals on the forum, or you're not a good poster, but if you're not any of that you'll love to pick up the challenge and see how you can also earn merits, to see how long it'll take to get to a higher rank.

The merit introduction challenges users to do better on the forum. Congratulations webtricks on being the newest hero member, and also thanks for this thread to motivate and encourage more users.
5487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho next Job? on: November 20, 2019, 07:46:02 AM
I think we have actually come to the end of this thread as Jose Mourinho has just been appointed as Tottenham Hotspurs new boss, I believe the club has had this planned sometime back, but had to get rid of pochettino first, which they did yesterday. This is coming as a shock to me, Spurs play free flowing and attacking kind of football, I hope this doesn't come to an end with that appointment of Jose, we all know his style play(pack the bus) Grin

All the debates, speculations and all that, Mourinho's next/new job is actually not Bayern/Psg/etc as people predicted, it's with spurs!
5488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 20, 2019, 06:17:20 AM
If you're a known gambler, then it's your fault, it's wrong for you to be known as a gambler by everyone in your entire neighborhood, it speaks ill of you and that is what makes other people distrust you. There are so many people in high and public offices who gamble, but it is not known to the public and it hardly can be used against them.

We all need to be wise when gambling, keep your addiction, if you have one, to yourself and try to solve the problem. You can only be accused of being an untrustworthy gambler if your addiction has led you to do crazy things in the past that made a large people aware of it.
5489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 20, 2019, 05:48:00 AM
Although poch kept Tottenham in the top four in the last four years, most of it they weren't playing like contender and this season is even worst as they have been very poor so it's coming as no surprise
Spurs may have been too bad this season, but I do not support a sack, if you look at how he has improved Tottenham and brought them to the elite stage, surely he deserves more time to fix the current terrible form in the team. Spurs may have never looked like title contenders in the last four seasons and just looked like they were ready to settle for top four, but if you look at their budget in buying players, do you really think they deserve more, Liverpool and Manchester City, the two main title contenders in those years have recruited better players, and have larger budget. Pochettino was doing all he was doing without forcing the team to spend big.

There'll be a major decision soon, it would be so interesting to see Mourinho back in the dug out mid way into the season, and in the Epl, would make it much more interesting, pochettino would definitely get a job soon, he is a good manager.
5490  Other / Meta / Re: Merit spree is underway. on: November 19, 2019, 10:43:54 PM
or completely new users.
This new users I'm thinking would be alt accounts of users on the forum, probably accounts were created just to try and earn some of the BTC price giveaway.

The good thing about the art contest is that as long as a user does a good artwork, then they're going to be rewarded, either in BTC or merits, not minding if they are shitposters, going through their post history, red tagged or any of those. It's wonderful and it brings the community together, and that's what birthdays celebrations do. Kiss
5491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Question] The First Digital Currency You Can Mine On Your Phone on: November 19, 2019, 02:21:55 PM
< >
You say you're not advertising the coin, but it looks like that to me(by posting their whitepaper and website), if you just received a PM from someone unknown about a coin, it's definitely a shitcoin from a shit project, seeking more people to scam. I wouldn't bother reading their whitepaper or going to that website and I don't think anyone should, it would only be a waste of time.

Do not also get excited about the fact you can mine this coin through a phone, as they claim though, it could either be false or you can go ahead and mine as much as you want, it still has zero value, so what's the need. I Know you do not believe it'll overtake the bitcoin Grin

5492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking answers can help on: November 19, 2019, 05:49:45 AM
But this is no guarantee that you will get paid at the end. It is one thing for a project to be a scam but it is another for a project to end up not paying even if it is not a scam.
Any project that ends without paying those who advertised for them is a scam project, no matter how long it takes, because this ico projects take so long as the participants have to wait most times through pre ico, ico and even listing. This procedures can be so long, but at the end of it all, that which they promised to pay, must be given out, though it may be reduced due to unforeseen circumstances(which can be understood sometimes).

But those who put in time and effort to work for them, must be compensated, failure to do so, makes it a scam project(exit scam)

What trouble? Never listen to the press, they need to create flame to get money from clicks... Especially the Italian press.
Ronaldo is Injured and this is why he has been changed 2 games in a row BUT press uses the ignorance of the people to earn money
Do we need the press to see Ronaldo's reaction to being substituted, first it was the champions league game and the next was against Milan, we could see him walk off the field, straight down the tunnel and it is reported he left the stadium, this claim neither juventus nor the player denied. They only tried to make things light by saying Ronaldo had been nursing an injury and that the matter was being handled internally.

I'm not trying to say there is unrest in the juventus dressing room, but you can just sense it that very soon Sarri and Ronaldo would fall apart, Ronaldo hates being substituted and obviously sarri looks like he'll do that anytime he is not performing, I would love to see what happens the next time Ronaldo is substituted.
5494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 18, 2019, 06:11:31 PM
I would take it easy for sure, even if England did not do the same! Happy to see my Kane on the score sheet again;)
England didn't quite hit top gear in the match, but that's something that should scare other teams, they have so much attacking prowess, one too many attackers, top strikers that do not need the team to be too excellent before they produce something, Gareth Southgate would surely have selection headaches in Euro2020, his attackers are top class in their different clubs.
Congrats to everyone who made the bets with favorites once more,,,
I normally do not fancy international breaks, I usually sit them out and wait till club football returns before I resume betting, but I'm glad I went against my rules, there was not many upsets this International break and it was easy for me to win bets this time around.
5495  Other / Meta / Re: new board request - Online Privacy & Security on: November 18, 2019, 04:52:00 PM
I'll support this initiative but this shouldn't be just a child board for Beginners & Help but should be a separate board or it may have child board/s as well to identify which those topics should belong
I understand your point, but for me it would be better as a child board under beginners and help section, I am active in the beginners and help board and those who make those threads on the privacy and Security features are mostly users from full member upwards, the high ranked users are mostly aware of many of this security features and they post it in that section to help the newbies, so they can also learn in that very vital area(privacy and Security of funds)

Making it a child board under beginners and help, would still serve that purpose, as it will target the newbies, though with a more suitable place for the posts, and it would be good for newbies who visit that board as they all should.
5496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. on: November 18, 2019, 04:38:33 PM
When the project is paying bounty hunters with eth or BTC he is actually spending money and investing in his project, not creating money out of nowhere.
This is true, and any altcoin bounty that pays that way is almost not going to be a scam project, because if you analyze it, if a project are advertising their coin, but are paying in more established coins like BTC and ETH, it shows they are really ready to develop their coin and are aware it'll take them sometime to actually get somewhere.

But those scam projects would just start off an ICO and at the end of it make money for themselves and give out shitcoins, that way they have not lost anything. Just as you said, altcoin bounties that would pay in BTC is a good sign and it may be good to work for projects like that, if only they will keep to their words.
5497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: November 18, 2019, 04:08:27 PM
Don't give up (bump)
This thread skipped my sight when it was made(by you obviously)but I'll still love to give my honest opinion on it, I don't know if it has already been said, of course this is the sixth page. There were times when diversification was necessary in the network, that was when altcoins were doing very good, as bitcoin lead the way. I bought so many altcoins then for side investments, as my bitcoin is always my priority, so many of those altcoins gave me profits, as I traded, held, and invested them in other areas, but this was all during that good season.

But what about the ones I still hold till now, they are just in my wallet as shitcoins that have no value. I believe altcoins can come back stronger, but for that to happen the industry needs to see less of the creation of ICO tokens, they are so much, and many more are created everyday, this just increases the number of altcoins without developing the ones that are in the market already, so I think altcoins can only improve if there are less/fewer ico tokens, we need just the few good altcoins, so the altcoin holders can focus/concentrate on them and before you know, they would grow and improve gradually.

Keep also in mind 19 months is the duration of Pogba contract so Manchester needs to aks less or Pogba can leave for free at 27 yo.
Better to take something than 0.
Manchester United would have to either get Pogba to sign a contract extension or they have to start wrapping up his move away from the team, if Pogba had more time in his current contract, this would have afforded Manchester United the liberty to "control" the transfer proceedings as it'll be in their favor.

But the more they delay, the more his contact runs out, they bought Pogba for a world record fee(back when they bought him), there is no way they will let him go for free, but to avoid that, I think they will have to lower their asking fee.
5499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 17, 2019, 04:17:52 PM
Croatia will be a hard nut to brake in the upcoming EURO2020
Croatia are top contenders for the title next year, I love the team and the way the players blend into the style of play the coach requires of them is unique, I watched all their games in the last world cup, till the final, I must say they were unlucky to come up against France who've got more firepower than them, but I knew from the group stages that Croatia were going far and they did.

If the coach can maintain the discipline in the squad in next year's tournament, and if luck can help them avoid some of the big boys, then Croatia can go all the way and lift the trophy.

I must admit that I am surprised with the fact that Coinbase support is sending just automatic mails for 3 weeks, without any concrete answer...
This kind of lethargic response from coinbase is surprising, it makes people lose faith in a company's services, and this is a a big exchange like coinbase, they should know better. LssPssn made a mistake and all that, but three weeks is good time for them to swing into action(not to have sent the coins)but to have contacted the customer, at least to calm his nerves
.
I think it is simply about law and they want to be extremely careful.
The amount of bitcoin in question is so much and one can understand if they are trying to be very careful, but replying the customer with automatic/bot mails for so long is incompetence, they should reach out to the customer, that's what customer support/help should do.
