Time for a knife ban. Especially black knives that have a tactical look, those are the most evil. Poor stabber kid, he is also a victim as he was under the magical spell of the knife.

Gotta love how people who have never even met Gavin know exactly why he did something they just found out about.  Roll Eyes
5504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘watered-down bitcoin’ for institutional investors on: April 09, 2014, 07:16:56 PM
As soon as their investors understand bitcoin I think they will see that this service does nothing they could not have done themselves. Why not just buy some bitcoins then buy some T-bonds?

I always liked "bitcoin peer" to describe a bitcoiner. But it has not caught on with anyone but me. lol
5507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 47% of Americans want to make purchasing goods and services w/ Bitcoins illegal on: April 09, 2014, 01:34:10 PM
Maybe the actual question was something like:

Do you favor banning the use of electric terrorist money for buying child porn and bath salts?
Yes, because I care.
No, I am a soulless Un-American

Protip: You can safely ignore the stupid.
People who don't know shit rarely do anything to cause change.

5510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 47% of Americans want to make purchasing goods and services w/ Bitcoins illegal on: April 08, 2014, 08:05:52 PM
Since something like 90% of Americans have never heard of bitcoin this statistic can not be true.

I can't say it's a great show, but I have been laughing at the "An idiot abroad" series.

It's a travel show that follows a guy who does not really want to travel. He says funny stuff. For example upon visiting the great wall of China...

5514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A successful DOUBLE SPEND US$10000 against OKPAY this morning. on: April 08, 2014, 05:23:55 PM
There has never been a double spend.

It seems like many have to believe this for their world to continue spinning but it is patently ludicrous to put your faith in a negative statement that by definition cannot be proven.

There HAVE been double spends and there will continue to be double spends.

If we truly want this experiment to survive we must identify these edge cases and provide solutions instead of burying our heads in the sand afraid of the bad publicity.
Maybe your right? Please point me to a double spend.

Side note: I F-ing love your choice in motorcycles!

Give me a high five, bro Smiley
I would never leave a Beemer hanging. Slap!
I drive a BMW car, and if I did not have a wife I would drive a BMW cycle as well.
My favorites are the bikes with the Paris Dakar kits, or maybe the older boxer engine models.

5517  Economy / Speculation / Re: On April 15, Bitcoin will go to the moon. on: April 08, 2014, 03:32:25 PM
As long as the moon is about $520, I think we have a chance.
So you are predicting bitcoin will be around 520$ mark around 15th..! hmm we are stuck at 450$ as of now..! lets see if it happens... tik-tok-tik-tok
And to be clear, I'm guessing not predicting.  Wink

5519  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for .022 BTC loan, will payback Monday! on: April 08, 2014, 03:26:23 PM
so what if i am someone who wants to have a loan (seriously); how do i give a collateral and what is required for people to be willing to lend around 0.01 btc for a month ?

I am considering this as a mean of investing but honestly there is too much scams and i don't know how to look serious
It is very, very foolish to borrow money for an "investment". You have no guarantee that there will even be a bitcoin next year; much less that the value will be higher. The only guarantee is that you will owe money. If you can't afford to buy 0.01btc, then you should be saving your money not risking it on a super risky thing you are calling an "investment".

The most basic rule in all of investing is NEVER put in more than you can completely lose. So if you are borrowing, then you don't even have the money to lose in the first place.
5520  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will have no more "to the moon" rises. Face it, BTC is becomming BANKING on: April 08, 2014, 03:17:56 PM
By all means sell so you are not a "bag holder" like me.  Wink
