5541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Again 🔥 on: March 19, 2020, 12:02:34 PM
...“Looking at South African specifically, crypto adoption continues to rise with SA being one of the top five countries in terms of cryptocurrency ownership. Today I’m excited to announce that Binance is launching a South African fiat-to-crypto gateway soon. This will enable South Africans to buy cryptocurrencies with their local bank accounts.”...

I am not at all surprised by this expansion of Binance into the South African market. This is a planned expansion of its work from the Asian market around the world. A little earlier, we saw this development in Binance work with national currencies  Russia and Ukraine.
5542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: March 19, 2020, 10:56:50 AM
...I believe that it could be a win-win situation for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the Blockchain space. Unless governments decide to start rolling their digital currencies to the world, everything will remain likely the same as it is today.
...

I don 't understand why there is such a fuss about fiat money. I think that many people have credit cards , and accordingly, there is no need for such people to pay with fiat. Therefore, from the point of infection spread, there is no difference whether you will pay with a credit card or make a payment with cryptocurrency.
5543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token burning on: March 19, 2020, 09:46:44 AM
Just remind you if you must see how good the coin based on usability of the token. All of the deflation tokens are garbage tokens and these tokens can be called as scam token. I think that there was no more explanation about that because deflationary is a complete garbage idea. I just see more and more deflationary token scammed more and more people.
This is a crap idea.

Binance has its own BNB coin burned every quarter. This amount is always different and is calculated at the rate of 20% of the profit received by the exchange. This will continue until Binance destroys half of its coins from the original issue. So the BNB coin can not be called garbage.
5544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 18, 2020, 06:38:36 PM
Value is dependent on the individual. A bounty hunter can get into a project because he values the project whereas an investor can invest in such project because he sees huge gain or short term profit therein. Its an individual based decision.

In any case, we must understand the difference that bounty hunters make to investors. The former contribute their work, and the latter invest real money in the development of the project. Accordingly, investors risk their money if the project is not launched. And bounty hunters in this case will not receive payment for the work performed, which is not always performed efficiently.
5545  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: March 18, 2020, 04:45:13 PM
even if bitcoin is more popular or expensive than gold, you cant compare btc is better than gold.
they have their own advantages and uniqueness.if BTC is at a rate of growth in value. then gold with its high liquidity.
and i guess gold still better than bitcoin.

I think that it is too early to make final conclusions. We must wait for the end of the financial crisis, which is now in its initial stage. But this will take several years. And only then can we compare what actually saved your investment better, gold or bitcoin.

5547  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 18, 2020, 08:57:33 AM
Fiat currency is a physical object , so it is possible that the virus could be pass on to another person, that is why there are countries who avoids accepting physical money for their own sake because you can't really say if that money has been touch or not by an infected person.
This is where the fiat is disadvantaged, as people are often to use fiat and contacted it, the virus could easily transfer from one to another person leaving the disability of the virus to be airborne useless. Using crypto and other digital payments would be helpful on such cases like this, it might be even the solution for non-contact policies and social distancing.

Transmission of the virus via Fiat money is not such a big problem. If there is such a percentage of infected, it is not large. The main reason for the spread of infection is direct contact with a sick person. We must first defeat the virus, and then the focus will be on the economy, including cryptocurrencies.
5548  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Toilet paper hoarding on: March 17, 2020, 09:37:57 PM
What people need to do is learn how to use the least amount of toilet paper as possible. It's not that hard. Like if I need to wipe my mouth, I take about two inches of paper towel and it works great.

I think that grocery's shops and super markets should pose a maximum amount of toilet papers that an individual can purchase.
It is a matter of helping all families around the world having the necessary items in order to endure this pandemic situation. And we are egoists as people so we need a 3rd party to control this behaviors.

Rationing is the typical "control" measure. Immediately giving birth to the black market and stimulating panic buys. It doesn't help, it makes it worse. If you leave it alone to the market force, the price should go up slowing buys naturally.

Since most govs have declared emergency, they could just seize the goods anyway. Toilet paper isn't really priority, as you will find out. Soap is, so get that and learn the "India method" (a bidet helps).

Where there is a great demand, there will be "businessmen" who want to make money quickly. And here we have a new ANN on the forum: ToiletPaper Chain (TOPA) -- Discord Coin Exchange http://archive.fo/CQZJ6
Therefore, we do not need to worry, since the cryptocurrency market can also solve this problem. LOL

5550  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ★ Obvious Scam Alert - Fake Libra Coin - Live Advertisement On Facebook ★ on: March 17, 2020, 01:46:48 PM
Among my investigations, there was also one fake Libra: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193223 Here I wrote about the ownership of the Libra trademark.

I think that scammers will come back to this topic every time to use the Libra trademark in their name. And this will happen even if the court prohibits the release of the original Libra.
5551  Economy / Reputation / Re: About Bestchange [again] on: March 17, 2020, 11:24:08 AM
Now that the Changegero.io issue "seem to have been resolved" what happens to the Newbie flag that is massively supported on their profile?
What happens to the "non use of trusted escrow" feedback that was left now that they have paid the first week(i think)?
Actual flag and red trusts are all about "promoting fake scam project" and have this thread as a reference. Now that the case is resolved, only one user has changed his feedback from negative to netreul notification and i think other users didn't yet notice that the issue with changehero has been resolved and that their feedbacks are no more appropriate. All the feedbacks about not using an escrow have been removed after the campaign paied first week .
Let's see what will happen next .
As am wearing the signature of BestChange since the biggenning of its campaign, i have been always inteested about the open accusations against the reputation of the project representer who is also managing the campaign.
I posted three days ago after the update about the case been resolved with the accused exchange and many DT users reviewed their feedback, but some others still not. I post this to bump the topic and get more opinions about the actual situation of BestChange .

I decided to bring this up because new details about the case have been revealed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230166
I think that it will not be difficult to read 2 pages of the topic in Russian using Google translate.
I believe this is very important to restore the reputation of Best_Change.
5552  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 17, 2020, 09:25:38 AM
How long will it last? What's the antidote for Corona?
Currently there is no telling when will it end but hopefully scientists and doctors around the world are doing their best to finish an antidote, vaccine and cure for this virus. Yes it crashes businesses but what can we do about it? Economy suffers when there is a crisis.

A coronavirus vaccine is already being tested in America. But even if the tests are successful, mass use of the vaccine will not be earlier than 1 year. In addition to the coronavirus, the economy is hindered by the financial crisis, which will also go on for several years. Therefore, we need to learn to live in such realities.

5554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: March 16, 2020, 11:46:41 AM
When you talk about trusting a coin, you have to look at different achievements of the project working with the token or coin, the background and level attained. To me, Ethereum is a base token and can't be compared to BNB, unless there's better and strong competition from BNB. I go with Ethereum.

I also believe that you can not put these two coins in the same row, since they have completely different functions. BNB is the coin that created exchange Binance and the value of which is very closely related to the functioning of this exchange. And Ethereum is the basis for most cryptocurrency projects.
5555  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 16, 2020, 10:49:21 AM
We all know bitcoin can become more useful at times like this since the use of fiat was proven to be medium for the passing of the said virus. The use of crypto is very ideal at the moment considering the fact that no physical contact is need, even when inside your house you can make a transaction and the use of paper money or coins can also be avoided to prevent the virus from gaining much larger scale of spreading. The value keeps on falling and I think that can be one of the main reason why people are panic selling, to avoid much larger casualties from their investment. They should consider atleast that the halving is near and corona might end soon.

Many people now sell their bitcoins at such a low price that they think they can buy them later at an even lower price. And so far we see that this scenario works. Here, the main thing is to be careful and remember that bitcoin can very quickly go to growth and many will then remain out of the market.
5556  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 16, 2020, 09:09:25 AM
by exchanging banknotes, then a virus that can last for 10 hours on inanimate objects can be transmitted quickly, making it difficult to deal with it, therefore wHO supports digital transactions to avoid direct contact with someone, like cryptocurrency, at least reduce the spread of the virus widely

I think that the danger of Fiat for the spread of coronavirus is exaggerated. Now more turnover is accounted for non-cash payments using a credit card. As for the calculation of cryptocurrency , it may not be so quickly accepted by the governments. Now the first task is to defeat the coronavirus.
5557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is fake shit on: March 15, 2020, 02:00:41 PM
The scamming will continue for as long as there will be naive newbies who believe that they can invest in "good project", and it seems there's still plenty of such people. Nowadays most people know about the dangers of shitcoins, ICO scams, pump and dump and so on, but somehow they believe that they posses the skills to avoid it. and this is where they are wrong. My advice is just stick to Bitcoin, it can't be manipulated in the long run and it's the least risky coin in this whole market.

Yes, bitcoin is more reliable for investment than any other altcoin. But from the point of view of short investments, altcoin is often more profitable. We know that when the market falls, it is more profitable to hold bitcoin, and when we expect the cryptocurrency market to grow, it is better to invest in altcoins, which have fallen much more than bitcoin and which will have to grow stronger than BTC.
5558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Newbie returning after long hiatus on: March 15, 2020, 12:56:55 PM
Might be possible that these addresses belongs to satoshi ?

I think that Satoshi would not ask about how you can sell such a number of bitcoins. If I didn 't see a transaction for 1000 bitcoins, I would think that this is an April fool's joke) In 2010, there were not many miners who believed in the future of bitcoin and generated it on their computer. But who is hiding behind the nickname "whoamisoon" we will never know.
5559  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: March 15, 2020, 10:57:50 AM
The government is not ready to adopt a currency that they don’t have control over it, regulation is important in lots of ways.
The government does not need to adopt such volatile currency that is why they are creating where they can regulate the circulation and control the price. In the end it is what we use in our own way of thinking.

Since there is no way to control a decentralized cryptocurrency, so it will not be able to be used in social payments. It is for this reason that governments have taken up the development of their national digital currency. But at the same time, a decentralized cryptocurrency will have a parallel circulation with the official currency.
5560  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: March 14, 2020, 07:28:57 PM
It's funny that due to the advent of the coronavirus epidemic, the process of creating and introducing coins of this type can be accelerated.
It is obvious that the country that presents its coin to the market and realizes its ability to use, will occupy a rather significant place among the markets of digital assets.

The isolation that accompanies the Coronavirus epidemic can easily contribute to this.

Have you heard anything about Tunisia's success in the cryptocurrency market? But it was Tunisia that first introduced a national digital currency in 2015.

And the fact that now more than 60 countries are working on creating a national digital currency has nothing to do with the coronavirus. And we can not say that the main reason for the spread of coronavirus is the use of Fiat. This is the usual course of development and adoption of new technologies.
