Bonuses also can be useful, it really depends on the project.

In short term, bonuses are very crucial. But looking for the long term, the project itself and how it will be executed is the only important thing. agreed, my opinion is that there is a place for bonuses and bounties to promote the projects. In the current state of the market I don't think bounties mean that much. It makes more sense now to target institutional investors. Bonuses probably should be considered, but bounties...I don't know. They have a bounty program with a small budget, it seems to me that this will not make big affect of token price in the first listing. I love projects with no bounty or little bounty. Otherwise, it causes a big dump. Lane Axis's bounty budget is really nothing to fear about. You are right, big bounty budget always results in a bigger dump. I think they should balance amount raised and decide bounty later ? Most projects allocate 1% of the sold tokens to the bounty campaign. this is not much but it is still enough to cause dumps. Because there are not just bounty hunters, there are also some investors that buy with huge bonus and sell quickly to have fast profit. Yes, I think this is a good point. presale whales will also dump. The best thing would be no bonusses and only a small bounty campaign but most projects need the advertisement from bounty hunters and the presale money. The point is that rampant rewards campaigns, although in the long run bring in some investors, also cause big dumps and maybe even faster, the bonus is more efficient if applied intensive marketing, and attracts more investments in the short term, but also need control and caution the bounty campaigns are used to better advertise the project, the various bonuses are used to encourage investors to invest more, to avoid the dumps team could block the token for a few months after the end of the ico (impossibility of moving once distributed) |

Why don't you build on top of Ethereum? Other projects did so and that worked out well. Building your own blockchain takes a lot of time and effort, which could then be spent on other things like marketing.
Ethereum offers no ledger privacy apart from zk-SNARKS (which is reliant on a trusted setup which needs to run at any configuration change). This basically forces issuers to avail of off-chain solutions which is very expensive and defeats the purpose of 1) decentralization 2) common task automation 3) streamline legal process 4) performances (as trading restriction needs to be arbitrated all the time through third party smart contracts, rather than being embedded at protocol level). So, to be able to meet the requirements of STOs, Ethereum needs third party platforms (like Polymath, Harbor, etc etc) which are basically application-level smart contracts, which resort mostly to off-chain processing, with no exception. This is also because these platforms have absolutely no say at the protocol level and must adapt to what it is available to them. In that respect, they have a very limited control on the confidentiality level (and in fact they resort almost always to suboptimal off-chain solutions - see for example Harbor, Polymath or even Securitize) and are bound to biblical release time for anything that revolves around NFRs (Non Functional Requirements, such as, for instance, scalability, security, resource management, network configurations, SLAs, etc etc) since Ethereum must scale GLOBALLY all the propositions (meaning smart contracts or set of smart contracts). Dusk is NOT a general purpose smart contract platform. It is extremely focused on the use cases it intends to unlock and as a result it can be very specific in the strategies it adopts to scale and satisfy the NFRs of the use cases at hand. It basically focuses on providing the right confidentiality in the 3 different scenario that render the platform a true network: 1 - Unidirectional atomic transfer of value (basically, payments) 2 - Bidirectional atomic exchange of value (transfer of asset ownership - securities fall in this category) 3 - Time unbound exchange of value (transmission of data stream - such as audiovisual conferencing, content streaming, etc) We are gonna rollout sequentially the three layers of the network, which will each unlock one of these 3 parts However we believe that 2 is the most critical as it taps into a market which potential is in the Trillions of Euros Since we are heavily partial for this particular use case, it is very logical that we adjust the protocol to satisfy all the regulations (and not, like in the cases above, adjust the application layer to workaround the protocol limitations) To give you an example of what we can do on Dusk which would be unthinkable in Ethereum please consider the following feature. Dusk decouples the (centralized) KYC/AML vendor process from the (decentralized) security issuance and transaction arbitration with the aid of time-locked accumulators. Cryptographic accumulators are ideal for implementing zero-knowledge white/black listing accreditation of (un-)compliant investors and automated accreditation. Also, expiry mechanism can be added for forcing rechecks. It roughly works in the following way: as soon as the KYC/AML process completes, the transactor identifier (basically his registered wallet address, but it can also be something else, i.e. biometric data, etc) is committed to the accumulator, which remains opaque and discloses nothing of its set. A witness (called compliance witness) is thus generated and returned to the applicant. Such witness is the proof of set inclusion. From that point on, all transactions related to that particular asset class (token) must include the compliance witness. Since the info is directly added as payload of our own (improved) version of bulletproof transactions, the need for open data inspection on transaction clearance is therefore removed. The accumulator is stored on-chain (as it basically is just a number) and recheck forcing can happen through a removal operation which activation can be coded trustlessly and can be as simple as a periodic expiry or by encoding more sophisticated rules through a (zk-)smart contract. Dusk will host the accumulators directly ON CHAIN, since it is line with our strategy to handle scenario nr. 2 of the above list Ethereum would never do such a thing considering that it would not make sense to store a data structure on chain that is specific for a tiny fraction of its applications (i.e. Polymath and Harbor) and would be completely useless for, say, propositions such as Omisego, Kyber, Basic Attention Token, Bancor, Status, Civic, Aragon, etc etc. This means that the applications would have to battle against the Ethereum protocol (i.e. move an eventual accumulator off-chain to the detriment of decentralization). This would have nefarious consequences for scalability as well, considering that these proposition must resort to continuously calling smart contracts in order to arbitrate the transaction operations (to the detriment of both performance and privacy), while Dusk is in the liberty of enriching the transaction directly with zero knowledge data from the transactors (the compliance witness), leaving absolute liberty over which vendor the issuer wants to rely upon and keeping the centralized compliance-related operations (like for instance KYC/AML) separated from the transaction stream. I just wanted to express my gratification for actually taking your time and answering on questions and explaining in depth. Providers of electricity and fuel won't like this so i don't think we will see this in the near future Yeah, such patents immediately buy up and do not give consent for the production of such engines, I don't think anything can change at least until the oil and gas reserves run out. low-cost electricity (solar panels, wind), fuel produced by organic waste, electrical machines are all scientific projects that bring our society towards to a greener future and should be funded, but the big companies that earn with the the sale of oil will certainly be contrary, i hope scientificcoin make their own choices based on the validity of the projects and not under the various pressures of the others |

Ehealth seems to be present in a lot of event, it’s very nice that the team has that visbility and continue to work on it. I think in long term the project can really have a nice potential, if the team has the ability to manage it and deliver something.
They are capable of managing and delivering project they claimed. they have a loooot of time to do it also, so i have no doubts at this point from ehealth besides lack of comms. Lack of communication is not a thing you doubt, it is a certain thing it seems  But it is not bad for the project it is just frustrating for us. it's frustrating because we're used to the fast way of doing things in the crypto space. that's not the way it's done in regular investments. they stretch their timeline so far and moving in a very slow pace. Reminds me of the "slow and steady wins the race" is it true that those who go slowly and cautiously win the race, but maybe with most frequent news and dates with a regular cadence us all would be a little quieter, news on mvp? |

None of those coins has features which will allow to transfer data safely, this is one of the major difference they are trying to sell Also there is a table in this thread shows the main differences between mentioned project, maybe that table is in whitepaper too? Actually, we asked a table about that, but there is none so far. Probably you are remembering that. And i don't know if there are oscars in every blockshow but if there are, i hope they get more. They have to be active in this area as they are not having an ICO. trading is certainly more advantageous and offers quicker, immediate but also more risky earnings and one must invest funds from his qwn capital, with the market in these uncertain conditions i have stopped doing it for now, for what concerns the bounty is a slower way to gain, there can be scam and not earn anything, but the only thing you can lose is a bit of time, in conclusion my choice is the bounty |

Looks like 2.4+ million Yes, as we can see on the main site, they are already raised $2.4millions+. The hard cap will be $30m and the main sale is still alive now. Btw, the softcap is at $2m which is already gainned! Having achieved more than its softcap target is a good indication that investors prefer this project over others and I guess because it has good merits. Looks like they collected the 2.4$ through private round + private sale and until now not much during the public sale, despite the 50% bonus. Anyway, its reassuring to know that they have reached the softcap. It's current trend with ICOs, they collect money in private rounds and they collect a tiny amount on public sale, which isn't ICOs principle, they were created to be accessed by everyone Nowadays most small investors are waiting for better days in the market before making any investment. I bet when bulls will return the situation will change and small investors will come back to crypto looking for some good investment opportunities. But it's a shame, the time to buy is now. Sure thing the time to buy is right now, the question is, it's the right time to invest in ICOs? Since people are seeing that easy ICOs' profits are long gone? the concept behind this project is very unique Theres a lot of project out there but this one really catched my eye at the first sight this project is the best I've ever seen. Personally on mine I have taken - it is a new step in the world of cryptocurrencies.
Not only it has unique concept but it also has sound fundamentals not found on any other project. Also, it has its own unique niche. I don't think it's the only project that addresses scientific community, but it's the one that has a lot of potential. Yeah, there maybe others that will rise as competitors but I guess they cant copy the business model of this project especially its algorithmic processes in the platform. In addition, we are building a very strong community: and it will take time for a competitor to reach us Glad to hear that confidence from the team and I know they are very capable as it is what most investors really love to know. Not a fan of bonuses either but as far as I can see at least the tier system is purely time dependent and there is no minimum investment amount which would kill decentralization.
Do you know what is the bonus structure? Is there any minimum investment? current bonus is 10% with $0.25/token. you need to do KYC/AML first to join this ICO. i sign up to their ICO website for check this the bonus seems good to me and also the current value of tokens, i do not really like the obligation of kyc but patience is the current trend of icos, which is the minimum necessary to invest? only eth and fiat? |

Korea is a good place for a conference about crypto. the Koreans seem to be one of the most crypto interested people. Korean related project are mostly successful, so the people in there is very related to cryptoworld. Conference will be crowded for sure. That's an excellent opportunity to present both projects in Seoul. Hope we will get some updates after the conference. I'm definitely hoping that a major milestone will be achieved within this 4th Quarter of 2018. Such major development would surely energize the community. We are all hoping that in this quater the good things will come to cryptocurrency hence the hype will arise again and more people will benefit from it. I really wait for some bulls to come out from where they hiding. They dont hide, they have to find the crypto meadow. It is not so, that the big investors are waiting and hiding, the big investors, we awaiting for arent even aware of crypto. So it will need some time till the real big fishes get into crypto. This project will go on for years so you have years to wait for a bull market Actually, this is my new tactic right now. Get good project as much as you get and wait for the bull. Because this time, tokens with no real necessity won't pump like the last time. agreed, you gotta keep what you think will explode once the market it back. everything else will be dust.
