561  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][3.5 year passed] on: September 21, 2022, 11:49:59 AM
However, still making even 60 to 70 posts a week is difficult.

You finally agreed in this last comment that it is going to be difficult making even just 60 to 70 posts weekly, how much more 125 posts . That is true, except the member only wants to be making spam posts.
562  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying the OP at a glance (SMF patch) on: September 21, 2022, 08:44:05 AM
We can try it as an experiment and see the feedback.
Forum changes get implemented so rarely around here, that I think we should just be grateful that theymos signed off on this one and not push our luck. I don't want to bug him with a patch for an inconsequential formatting tweak.

PowerGlove is right and I hope ajaxtempest will have to be grateful that his idea was implemented quickly unlike how theymos delays on making any change in the forum. Asking for tweaking now immediately after this will seem like you are asking too much and not grateful. Your idea has been applauded and we have to move on.
563  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][3.5 year passed] on: September 17, 2022, 07:33:51 AM
[...]
Four Hero, one Legendary five accounts!
If the investigation is true then there will be more two to three accounts. Safe to say all together five accounts. $60/w from each account $300/w. On average 25 posts per week. That's 125 posts. It seems better than a full time job. I am not saying it a bad idea but how it's possible? 😂

The forum is a cash cow LOL

125 posts in a week? I find it hard to believe. But can that be possible to do every week by one person and the person will not go blind from watching the computer screen for that number of hours? If it is not a bot doing it or magic I do not know what else can. This can also be why we find shit and off comment posts from high ranks who are into this because they want to complete the weeks count.
564  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying the OP at a glance (SMF patch) on: September 16, 2022, 02:26:53 PM
I don't think avatar is so important, but in sign of gratitude theymos could always enable it in his profile.

There is no need for theymos to do such. He is already at 717 merits as of today and that is almost close to a legendary rank. The only thing holding him now is his activity count. He is at 98 activities. It remains just 2 to make him a Full member and he can wear an avatar in less than 2 weeks.

It sounds to me you are already thinking of new forum contribution with 2FA implementation Wink

He has mentioned that and how he is going to pursue it.
565  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying the OP at a glance (SMF patch) on: September 14, 2022, 09:29:03 AM
induct you into bitcointalk Hall of Fame with immediate effect.
Isn't it ironic OP can't even have an avatar yet, but he can patch the forum?

He has my support for a special badge (up to theymos to pick it).
It should be more interesting than an avatar he will have sooner or later.

Yes, getting an avatar is a piece meal for a man who just walked straight into theymos office. He is already a hero, and a Hero member  Grin

568  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: September 13, 2022, 07:36:10 AM
I've explained it posted before and I think it makes it a little clearer on what I mean. But since I'm not a native English speaker, some words must look awkward when other people read them. But thanks for trying to explain again although I don't ask for it.

Sorry if my comment sounded like an insult to you. It was not intended to, I was only trying to explain it from what I thought. Sorry. But your English is not bad too.
569  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: September 12, 2022, 11:47:49 AM
Does this explanation still confuse you?
Yes, because I still don't understand what that has to do with the part of your quote that I bolded, but let's move on.  Obviously there's an enormous language barrier present here.

I have seen alot of members take screenshots of their merit scores to post in that Save your nice merit records here thread and they look for nice number arrangements for their scores. That can be exactly what indah rezqi was trying to mean there. Maybe _Blackstar did not have a picture of his merit score before he gave him the extra 2 to get it spoilt above the round figure of 1000 merits. Hope this clears your confusion.

I love the consideration Chipmixer participants give to their manager and human life. This is a great campaign. Some other campaigns would be panicking for few hours of delay. Am happy to read that the manager is back on his feet again. Fullest recovery to you, DarkStar.

All those who hope should take a look at the last distribution of merits that Ratimov gave.
He exceeded the plan for several years ahead. Now let him be a merits' holder, not a giver. Grin

Merit holder, not a giver indeed  Grin. He has been doing good that way and should continue. But am sure no one would be complaining if he locked up this thread. It is because the thread is still open that we have hope he is still running it. Maybe he is counting on other merit sources to frequent here and help out?
573  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: September 08, 2022, 11:09:22 AM
This thread really helped me alot, @Ratimov was the one that really helped me in ranking up to full member, the merit he gave me really encouraged me now am in senior member, I noticed he already stopped giving people merit on the thread, I just wish he can countinue with his good work, lots of people have benefited from it and it serves as an encouragement. I just hope @Ratimov will see this post and he can couninue his good work, lot's of people have really benefited from the thread.

I hope that he continues his good work of distributing merit too. But it looks like he has abandoned this thread. He has not posted in this thread or merited any posts here for a long time running now. Maybe he has lost that interest in doing it and helping others rise. I would have applied if it is still open.
574  Economy / Reputation / Re: False Info : Fiat Banks Conspiracy Against Customers. Bitcoin is the Best Option on: September 08, 2022, 07:47:12 AM
Are you sure you read the above post correctly before making yours? i think you are responding to the wrong topic, perhaps you should check properly to see which topic your post belongs to.

Maybe he posted in a hurry and to the wrong topic or he did it just to complete his weekly post count. I found it difficult understanding what he was saying there too. But a Hero member should know better than doing that.

576  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you felt the impact of inflation so far? on: September 08, 2022, 07:19:58 AM
It is interesting when you advise cutting down the electricity usage. But is it possible to apply to every people in a country? In this modern life, I assume the need for electricity usage becomes higher. Most people use more tools that require electricity to help their daily work. Instead, to cut down it, people need more electricity usage. So, I'm not sure this way can be effective to deal with the current inflation.

In my country there are areas where estimated billing is the order, whether there is electric supply or not people get to be issued monthly bills. It is a bad practice and the government is not doing anything to stop such criminality and rape of its citizens. In such areas, people always leave their appliances on whether they are using them or not. But there are areas where the metered system works called the Pre-paid billing. It is a pay as you use method. In areas with Pre-paid billing, consumers know they only get to pay for what they consume and so they do not like leaving on appliances they are not using. It will eat up their credit loaded into the meter. That is what I mean.

The cost of postage from the USPS is expected to go up again this year, too.  Buy those forever stamps now while they're relatively cheap.

Just like people can cut down on electricity usage, am sure they can also cut down on stamp usage by making use of emails. In my country alot of people hardly make use of post offices. Alot of post office structures are now redundant and overgrown with grasses. Emails and other online services have taken over the duties of post office. Am speaking for myself, though I do not know how it works in your area.
578  Other / Archival / Re: "If you don't understand where the yield is coming from, you are the yield." on: September 07, 2022, 02:59:32 PM
far too many people are too greedy (or needy!) to get smart or to think a little, at very least. So no matter how many wakeup calls people try to make, they will not listen.. until it's too late.

And that is because people want to grab fast what they do not own thinking those who are dangling it before them are fools. You are right and that is how greed works on people. The grabber ends up being the grabbed. But people do not want to learn from the mistakes of others until they themselves become victims.
579  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin, you're getting worse and wasting your customers' time. on: September 07, 2022, 08:18:52 AM

Hotbit has the same process of two different accounts like Kucoin you described. I find it confusing sometimes and believe it is a waste of time splitting it since it belongs to the same owner. None of them has told us why they have the split. Besides, the way this exchanges have crisis now is becoming alarming. Hotbit has been down for more than two weeks running and people's funds are trapped there. I do not trust Kucoin to leave my money there any more. Even Binance may not be spared this wave of crisis running through major exchanges at the moment. Who knows what next will happen or which exchange will be next in crisis. This is beginning to expose more of the weaknesses of centralised exchanges.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 06, 2022, 01:52:16 AM
So you're playing in a casino and you triple your wager but when you try to withdraw you cannot what set of actions are you going to do,
Are you going to screenshot your dashboard and your deposit, are you going to create a ticket first and ask support what happens to your account or you will ask chat support and screenshot all conversations because of the fear of getting your account ban, or you will directly post your concern here in Bitcointalk.

Follow the process this way: The first thing you have to do is to screenshot your dashboard and any other parts you need to so you can have evidence in case things go further wrong. Then chat support up or open a ticket, depending on which the site offers you. If your issue is not resolved or you are not satisfied how it is handled then you open a thread here in Scam Accusations https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 or Reputation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0 section on bitcointalk and report the issue.
