Why waste time on trifles let's text the forum will do without Meta Board no smileys, no pictures. Let's remember how to play text games, imagination will replace everything )

I don't really understand what you implied in your thread by using the attached image. What does it mean?
To say the truth, your thread likely non-sense and the image hurts my eyes a bit. Bright and contrast colors in the image, I think this image was terribly designed. What are purposes of the image is vague, too.
562  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 30, 2018, 02:53:30 AM
You are right! Unfortunately, quick responsive spammers realized the fact, then they adapted, switched their favorite places (boards) from altcoins (bounties, ann, discussions) to Meta board.
That's terrible to see hundreds of shitty threads from them (and of course dozens of shitty topics) in Meta board after the launch of merit system
I think your difficulty highlights one of the current problems with the merit system, and Theymos has posted that he is aware of it, and is acting to rectify the situation. You post on the legal and economics boards, and those are useful and valuable assets to Bitcoin Talk in my opinion.

That's good if you have good original intention to contribute to forum this way. I believe that on all boards / child boards in the forum, we can definitely can see valuable, helpful threads; but they are extremely hard to find intentionally mainly because they are covered by tons of shits. We can only see them by chance.
Unfortunately they are not frequented by the merit awarders, and one of the reasons that Talk Merit was created was to allow Jet Cash the time to spend on both of those boards, and hopefully he can award merits where they are deserved.

His post quality doesn't look bad, because he has been plagiarizing stuff?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
One thing that introduction of merit has done is bring out the greed in lazy posters - they want to get merit and rank up immediately.
~
Wow, interesting discovery. So why not reporting the guy to the following topic:
Plagiarism and copy/paste posts

Plagiarism is one of the most restricted things in the forum as the topic below presents:
Unofficial rules of bitcointalk forum
564  Other / Meta / Re: The reality is 99.9% members can never rank up with the new merit system. on: March 30, 2018, 02:41:12 AM
its a way to express how a person thinks about a post.
Since its needed to lvl up, its not really usefull that Legendary members receive merrit. They only will receive more to give away.
Yes, getting to the next rank will be tuff.
What are you talking about, my friend? Merit system was launched for every members of the forum. I have no doubts about this. That's fact.
Consequently, merits and sMerits have been there for all of us, regardless of our ranks in the forum.
You said that Ledgendary users (and Hero too) don't really need merits. I don't agree with you because higher-ranked, constructive, active users need more sMerits to give away. That is one of the most motivating activities they can do for the forum; verifying high-qualitied threads, give authors of those threads merits (by sending their sMerits away) to motivate them keep writing high-qualited threads and keep contributing to the forum.
I believe Ledgendary needs merits for sure.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥Masternodes⚡Android wallet ⚡Zerocoin⚡txbit.io in development on: March 30, 2018, 02:24:34 AM
I haven't used Windows 7 in over 5 years, so I don't know about your specific error. On Windows 10 the update took me less then 2 minutes and that included the time to do a backup before the update.
Me too, new version of Solaris wallet works fine for me any my computer (both desktop and laptop). I am not sure about what are real problems of the guy, but he/she should back his/ her wallet up, then try installing new version of Solaris again. Just try doing this, sometimes it might helps to solve problems.
If not, the guy should wait for official answer and support from Solaris team.
Please don't spam the topic and spread news about technical issues around (if they have really existed); because it won't help the project and Solaris price.
Negative impacts, in other words.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: March 29, 2018, 03:55:13 PM
Have you had plan to expand the campaign for more weeks, tonych? Hope that I will have chances to join Byteball signature campaign in the future.
The signature campaign is planned for 4 weeks.

So, why keep using Telegram instead of changing to other platforms which can help campaign managers to find cheater easier and exclude all of them from campaigns.
We don't know their IP.  User information provided by telegram is pretty minimal https://core.telegram.org/bots/api#user
567  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi would not like the current state of this forum on: March 29, 2018, 03:48:00 PM
Being veteran members don't equal to have deeply knowledge about the forum (its founders, its operational structures, its chronological history, and so on.)
It is also the same as now we can witness lots of Senior, Hero and sometimes Ledgendary members usually posting shits (one-lined, non-sense threads). It is due to the fact that those ones ranked up easily with loose old ranking system (the ranking system without merit requirements). I found some of them by chance via their shitty threads, then I spent time to look at their post-history, completely shitshow.
By the way, thank you very much for launching merit system, Theymos.
I'm surprised that some veteran members don't know that the forum was founded by Satoshi.
Now, I know that the forum was co-founded by Satoshi and Sirius. One more interesting thing I learned from bitcointalk forum as usual.

Me too. I don't prefer to spend my time to look at shitty threads in the forum. To be honest, before the launch of merit system, I was shit-poster (hate to say this, but that what I was). Due to merit system's amazing impacts, I changed myself to become better member of the forum. Write to contribute, not write to show my shits.
I think that Satoshi just wouldn't have liked using any large forum.

New release 2.0.180328 containing security fixes is out. All nodes please upgrade as soon as possible.
What happened with Bitshares recent weeks? Why Poloniex put Bitshares wallet under maintenance most of the time? When the problem will be completely solved?
Several weeks after its firstly occured, and lasted till now; are there bugs found and potential solutions to fix them?
Thanks all for your important shared information.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: March 26, 2018, 01:42:41 PM
For the moment it is sufficient for me to see Doge maintaining its price above 40 satoshi. Usually month of march isn't good for cryptocurrencies and luckily we have few more days to reach in April. This time this current boring trend has lasted little more longer than many people thought would be. This support tells many thing for future moves if you can watch.
Dogecoin can not fight against the common downtrend of the market, so we have to wait new long-term uptrend of the whole crypto currency market to see next exponential doses of Dogecoin. It is coming closer and closer day by day because what I saw is more of altcoins almost found their bottom. What we need at the moment is signals from whales.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [BTS] Bitshares #1 Fastest Crypto, Tokens, DEX, ICOs since 2014 (unofficial ಠ_ಠ) on: March 26, 2018, 12:42:11 PM
I totally agree on current price very safe to buy based on development which is going on doesn't matter what is happening around. Second notable thing is volume on different exchanges if not in millions on each but in hundred of thousand dollars for every cycle of 24 hours. Old glory days will return for those stand by in hard times.
It is the same for most Altcoins due to massive massacre recent weeks. Of course, smart investors will choose right coins to buy, in particular good coins with active, energetic, high-performed developers, good products and good trustworthy over theirs history since beginning.
When wallet issues been solved and Poloniex wallets for traders back to normal situations, everything will be fine for BitShares and its price will rally considerably.
571  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 24, 2018, 11:31:26 PM
Of course, merit system can not reduce spammers to show their shits through their shitty threads. The reason is (as you said) they can still join signature campaign with Junior member rank, for most campaigns which accept the rank, payments for this rank is usually half of payments of Member rank. So, for shit-posters, they don't care about contribution to the forum, no need to rank up to Member rank; because they can earn the same amount of money by using 2 Junior Member accounts and delivering their shits.
Personally, launching stricter rules which prohibit Junior members join signature campaigns forever will the solution to eliminate entirely shit-posters, then wipe out spamming threads.
No need to quote many posts...
Disabling signatures could be done to shut down shitposting but it will have also a huge impact on the forums future.

They will be tagged then banned soon. Don't worry about them. If you find them, you can report them to moderators. Show your evidence up.
For the Merit, it could delay ranking for regular users but it will collapse farming accounts; they can cheat, trade merit but this will end soon once they run out of smerit.

Agree! They have their rights to do this! Nevertheless, they should use their sMerits better.
For satoshi he created Bitcoin and he "disappeared", he doesn't even own his account. I respect the opinion of people sending smerit for the founder account but for me it is a waste of it since it could benefit others to rank up...
572  Other / Meta / Re: Full Member thanks to the Merit system. on: March 24, 2018, 11:24:03 PM
That's right. That is the way users in the forum should focus on to improve themselves before thinking of earning merits to rank up. They will probably hard to get merits if keep showing their shit show here. Even if they can rank up with bought / exchanged merits, it doesn't make sense at all, because they will not contribute anything useful to the forum. They only consider the forum as their landfill to dump their shits, hence they will be ignore by other users, campaigns' managers, merit-give-away users, etc. Consequently, they will be eliminate out of the forum somehow and sometime in the future.
Some of you are asking for tips or how I did it. I was a bit surprised when I joined here. It took me quite some time only to get oriented in the forum structure. Asking for help, got couple of posts deleted as spam and then I started reading. I learns about the bounties /did't knew when I joined/ and got involved in a scam project. Learned my lesson and moved on.
~
Then you start understanding how everything is working here, you start find things which you think are not right, missing or just not logical. You ask why this has to be like this, and how to make things better, is there any way for me to help to improve this ecosystem here? How can I help with what I do? Then you reach the point of being a member in the real meaning, a member of this crazy family.
Yeah. You are right! Merits will automatically come to helpful, constructive users. No need to beg for merits. That's what you have got, very impressive.
The merit will come eventually.
Congratulations, iasenko!
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] |Masternode Auction Is Live| Jolt Gas| - Democratized EV Charging Stations on: March 01, 2018, 02:42:14 AM
Honestly, I really don't want to offend the project. I simply give you very important information about common facts in the cryptosphere recent weeks. During the last two or three weeks (or maybe one month) there are dozens of scam projects with promise about extremely high ROI for their masternodes. Key point to be focused on is what those projects have. Only masternode, PoS, that's all. Most of them have not had plans to develop their projects further.
It's too risky to invest in such project via Masternode auctions in early stage.
It's my opinion, I don't recommend you to in or out the project.
574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Updating [HELP] on: February 22, 2018, 11:13:14 AM
Creative ideas. I agree that there are lots of available topics about merit and new rank requirements, hence users can find them easily if they really spend couple of minutes to look around the forum for information (in case they are joining forum for reading, learning, discussing, rather than getting 'free money'). Those topics are easy to find using SEARCH. However, it might be better if HELP link be updated with new rules for ranking system related to merit systems which was launched some weeks ago.
575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new here! Plz give me some TIPS! on: February 07, 2018, 05:17:26 AM
I think you can not apply any tip if you simply ask, please help me with some tips. You should spend more time in the forum for the following basic stuffs:
Learning new things.
Reading as more topics as possible.
Writing good-quality posts, at first, good English.

Then time goes on, you will be matured a little bit daily, before you can help other users in the forum.
576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why not have a referral link section? on: January 29, 2018, 05:15:16 AM
Sorry, but it's terrible idea. Forum is already full of spam and allowing ref links would make situation even worse. Do you imagine how that Referral link would look? Faucets, gambling websites, ICO's cloud mining and other ponzi schemes. Do we really need it? Do we really need it? How that board can be beneficial for someone? Who would moderate all that mess?
There is rule on bitcointalk which don't allow ref links, so why they should go against their own rules?
As I know, referral link violates rules of the forum. Why you still ask such a non-sense question?
Please read the one carefully. What you ask is on the fourth rule.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Hope it helps!
577  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 29, 2018, 05:10:56 AM
Is it possible that merits can work as "likes" or "thumbs up"?

I guess the main idea is to improve the community and I appreciate that.

I'm just thinking maybe we can promote an activity that ask everyone thumbs up those posts they like and you can only give out 5 likes each day or something like that.

Right now, I feel like merit is more like a coin. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hope this community becomes better and better.
The need for limiting maximum merits which one user can send to others are real, neccessary. However, I would like to correct you a little bit, merits dont have any relationship to coins. Did you misunderstand the term?
578  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] USERS THAT ARE ABUSING MERIT SYSTEM on: January 29, 2018, 05:01:58 AM
We might need to define what is shitpost and what is good quality post. Shitpost generally = 'yes', 'thank you', 'nice project' (even this needs clarification because when you believe it's a nice project, what should you say other than 'nice project'?) , obviously spamming, starting a thread with a ridiculous question etc. What is good quality post then? Should it be technological? Should it make good points which nobody has mentioned before? (I doubt that people read each reply on a thread with too many replies) How can you know whether a person has put an effort on his post or not? The point of merit system is to demand respect for this forum. Am I right? If so, people reporting spam also deserves merit, in my opinion. People trying to rank up is not a problem, isn't it?
There you go:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2836505.0
This is topic on "what is the shit-posting?"
579  Other / Meta / Re: Please limit merit awards to one per post per person. on: January 29, 2018, 04:56:38 AM
I am not sure that limiting how much merit you can give to a post is going to solve that abuse by itself. It might be a good idea, but it still doesn't stop someone from giving 5 merit each to 10 posts instead of 50 to 1. It has the same effect. Instead maybe limiting how much merit you can give to a certain person, or how much you can give in a single day, etc. would be more effective, though just negging people that are clearly abusing the system might already solve this before it becomes a problem.
This guy's idea might be another option for adjustment of merit system. This recommendation focuses on maximum merits each user can give to a specific user per day.
580  Other / Meta / Re: Anti-spam Merit Giveaway on: January 29, 2018, 04:54:42 AM
i will not ask for giveaway merit you give me, i just want to be better.
please see and give value to my post so that I get the impetus to be able to make a quality post.  Smiley
Actually, your last thread did not contribute anything to the topic on Anti-spam merit giveway. Can you see that? Will it receive merits for such a low-quality, off-topic thread? I think it won't. You should improve your quality of each posts first, then merits will automatically come by chance.
