561  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN CONTINUE TO RISE on: February 27, 2024, 05:29:45 AM
By 2024 end, we are probably going to have something much better, it will not be too simple but we will definitely see it do well enough. I mean we are at a stage where things are not that easy to handle at the moment, but the halving is nearing as well, with the halving underway, the rest of the year should be much better.

I personally believe that we are going to do fine, we just need to end up with a lot better result eventually if we know what we are doing. I am very well aware of the situation that we are going to end up with a much better result by the end of the year. This is of course what the market is saying in general, so I can't really say I have any proof about it, that is not how things work, so I can't really know.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 26, 2024, 09:12:33 PM
I watched a game for the first time since the All-Star fiasco and Milwaukee beat Philly very comfortably. While the Sixers were focused on Giannis, other Bucks players hit wide open threes from outside and led by 21 at half time. The fact that they made 7 extra threes made the difference. Giannis didn't have to do much as the Bucks maintained the scoring margin throughout the game. Until Embiid comes back, the Sixers have a very difficult job. He'll be back before the playoffs start, which is good news, but the Sixers need to do better while he's out.
Without embid sixers are a bottom team.  Embid has one of the highest usages in the NBA.  It doesn't look like Philly knows what to do without him out there.  Maxey is a nice piece but not someone who could carry a team at this point in his career.  With embid on the court this team is an issue though.  Nobody can effectively and consistently stop embid for long stretches.
That is definitely true but also true for almost every single team. Without Curry Warriors are nothing, without Lebron the Lakers would be, without Jokic Denver would be, I can continue but every team that has a star that makes them good and the rest are helping the star player out.

Sixers unfortunately lost this season, Embiid will be out whole year so Sixers are just going to end up focusing on what they can do to improve the rest of the team, that's all they can do, this year is already gone, it was already very very questionable that they could win the title with Embiid, probably wouldn't but without Embiid? It's now guaranteed that they would not. If it happened a bit earlier, they could have tanked for a pick if they had any.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 26, 2024, 07:19:09 PM
The fact that Barcelona is not second and with only 8 point difference, on the year that Xavi got "fired" is still beyond bonkers. Like a few more bad games by Real and suddenly Barcelona is in contention to win the whole thing, how could they think that's bad season? In any case, Girona could make a comeback and be second too but I do not think that they will keep that going for a long time, it feels like they are going to end up with a bad result eventually here and there, which will make Barcelona second.

Real once again won a game last minutes with luck, that is becoming more common these days, if you look at the games they won after 80th+ minute, you will see that they had more in the last 2 months than the first 5 months of the season.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 26, 2024, 06:19:09 PM
Everyone keeps saying that Liverpool played kids and all that, but I checked the line ups, while it may not be all that ideal, they weren't really kids neither. There were some of the big names as well, along with of course kids too. I think that's the point, we are talking about combination of both and that matters.

We are seeing them getting a title and not like that's news neither, Liverpool has been great since Klopp took over, won this before and they have won UCL and the league and the FA Cup, so they won it all and this is one of the least important ones. If Sheffield united won it, then I would understand why they would be happy, but caraboa cup? I really do not think that this one means all that much for them.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: February 25, 2024, 08:40:46 PM
As it may seem now the end product for Gambling addiction is a total loss, but the one's involved will not accept that fate, moreso when you open up to let them know the do's and don't regarding this game, they won't accept it but they will rather feel your trying to deprive them of their right and decisions.
Sometimes when I watch some gamblers act this way,and I must have talked to them in an advice and they're acting in such a way not to adhere, then I just allow them play to their satisfaction and by so some of them will realize the content of what they are creating.

I had a fight too with my friend on this, trying to persuade him to not take such decisions but he wouldn't listen and I let him be but when the mystery unfold,he came begging me but what would I do as at that moment, definitely nothing.
They are addicted and it's controlling their wellbeing, behavior and all of that but they think it's the other way round.
That is unfortunately the reality for anyone who has a gambling addict friend or family member. They end up not listening to what you are saying, thinking that they are going to end up winning and that results with them not doing all that well, which results with some sort of trouble one way or another.

The best thing to do would be just making sure that we help them as much as we can but after a while it is not really our problem and they should have listened to us when they had the chance. If they come back and ask for more, then we all know that they will keep doing it forever, so you can't pity them and give money even once, even for unrelated to gambling stuff, because they would just go gamble with it anyway.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Step up your game before the game steps you down. on: February 25, 2024, 08:04:23 PM
Figuring out how to get better is not really a shocking new thing, it has been a thing for decades and I think it's overstated. When you are in a business, it could be a job, a company you own, or even crypto trading, if you do it long enough then one part of your job is to use the new stuff. You think that developers and graphic designers are not looking into AI at all? They work with it every single day to get better, most of the great AI users that you see today are people who had jobs in the field.

Of course there are rare situations where ones who are in it do not look and the ones who are out tries to start looking into it, but those are rare cases. People who have jobs that have new tech, will always take a look at it all the time, not a new thing.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 25, 2024, 06:31:33 PM
Xabi Alonso is the way to go and there is really not even a discussion about it. Liverpool has enough money to get his mind, they are a great club, they are a premier league club as well, and he would be mad to turn them down. I am not talking about similar amounts of money, they can afford to pay him double the amount and they would still be fine, it's not going to be even remotely similar.

I believe that we are going to end up with something much easier for him as well, being in such a great club means that he will do fine one way or another. Although, it might be a tough one as well because it means that even being second is not enough sometimes and that could be a problem for him, he may not want that kind of pressure.

I had 50-100k+ tickets every single week for over 2 YEARS. Never won a single satoshi. Never a single place EVER
As far as I can see based on this week's tickets you had approximately 0.1% per draw. If it was another type of lottery with smaller winnings and prizes you would have won something, but with this type of lottery, despite having a lot of tickets, having a 0.1% per draw is not a huge probability.
I agree that having a lot of tickets doesn't guarantee anyone a win, there are people with MILLIONS of tickets and still lose, which is funny to me but they are not getting that much tickets because they want to win something, they are whales who gamble a lot and they just happen to be rewarded those tickets, they are not actually going out and buying lottery tickets.

So, this type of thinking that you should be winning because you have put so much into it makes no sense to me, it's really not the way to go, it is not how it works. You should probably consider the situation to be a bit different, try to find something else if you could, that would make more sense. I would say the best way to go would be just getting a good result from what you do.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: February 24, 2024, 08:26:47 PM
Everyone talked about how Sociedad had a big chance to win, and I knew that it wouldn't be such an easy game for them. I did not guess it right, I thought it would be a tie and that is why I bet them to draw but I was wrong a bit less as well. I wasn't one of those majority that thought Real Sociedad would win, that is not what happened, I thought that they would draw at least, but even further than that Villareal literally dominated the game and won.

This is why I believe that we are going to end up with something that probably made a lot of people lose. I think it's clear that it will not be easy for Real Sociedad to bounce back from this, it feels like not an easy thing to do. I hope that they could get better eventually.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 24, 2024, 07:45:42 PM
Bologna definitely looks like a brand new team, I did not expected them to do this well, kudos for them to get the fourth place. Of course they have more games at hand, so they may still lose their position but it's still fine for them to be there even temporarily, it is not an easy thing to do.

I believe that the best thing to do in this case would be just making sure that we are dealing with a much better situation for them and betting accordingly. I have started to bet on their win recently and even though there were few surprises along the way, they did pretty well overall. Of course the biggest shock has been Juventus lately and lets see how they will do, it feels like it is not going to be all that easy to handle their momentum.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 24, 2024, 06:51:34 PM
Honestly it has been a bright week for me, the bets are all looking good so far. It's fine that there could be some surprises here and there as long as the general outlook is fine, and I think it should be like that for the future as well, by the looks of it we can say that it is clearly a lot better situation. When the unlikely teams win in bunches that's bad, but if it happens just once a week then that's good because it means all the other bets are correct and you make up for it.

If you go 7-1 or 6-2 in most cases you are in profit and this has been one of those days for me, just 1 loss and the rest were full wins. That is usually a good result and I have made some good return, something like 15% nothing big but fine.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 24, 2024, 02:11:22 PM
If Arsenal should be able to get a sharp attacker like Vampersie of those days, then they must have gotten a complete squad.
Arsenal would go into the transfer market for a striker this summer, there are rumors that they might try to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford. Thomas Frank has already said it would be nearly impossible to keep Toney at the team after the end of the seadom, though Arsenal might have to pay a huge amount of money if they are to get Toney.

Having said that, i don't think Arsenal should be too desperate for a striker, they have been scoring a lot of goals in the EPL lately, and if they are scoring nobody talks about a new striker, but on a day that they don't score, everyone talks about recruiting a new striker.
Completely agreed even they are doing good goals in Premier League and their attack is one of the best but as we have one poor performance things started around for the search of new striker even we all know as things are going most chances they will do some shopping into coming transfer window and surely have one from these with Ivan Tony is priority and then Vlahović is also under their radar but who is coming it's not clear but for me most chances Arteta will be love to have Ivan Tony.

With recent media reports are also suggesting something going to happen but what is their main target and how things will be work no one can predict with Porto done good job and win their first leg match and now Arsenal under pressure and need to fight back strongly for the next round because still things are under control.
I am not entirely sure if Ivan Toney is the one they should be looking for though. I get that they do need a striker and don't get me wrong Toney is a good player, but he is not the "we won UCL with this striker" level at all. They really need to get someone much more major. Arsenal is a rich club, wit ha rich history, and a lot of revenue from many sources.

I understand that it may not be easy to do it, but how about Mbappe? Real may offer him something good there is no doubt about that and he does want to go to Real, but if Arsenal offers much more money then Mbappe is famously known for being a greedy player, and it would be quite possible for him to accept a much bigger offer. In a world where Real offers 35-40, maybe offering 50-55 or even 60 a year to him could make them pay a lot and that's financially irresponsible I agree but they could actually make that back. They can win the league and do so well at UCL, that should cover most costs anyway.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: February 24, 2024, 06:48:22 AM

Then what will the Republicans do now, given that Trump recently said that he would support Ukraine even more than Biden is doing now?

After the US Senate passed a bill on military aid to Ukraine, former President Donald Trump, who opposed and incited Republican congressmen to vote against it, suddenly changed his rhetoric and said that he would give more to Ukraine than current President Joe Biden.

“Speaking [on February 14] at a campaign rally in North Charleston, Trump said that under a Biden presidency, Putin “will get everything he wants, including Ukraine. This is a gift. "He has a gift" and tried to flip the script by saying he would do more to protect Ukraine than Biden, The New York Times writes.
All the republicans who supported him saying they shouldn't invest into Ukraine's independence, will now support him and say that they should help Ukraine a lot. Politics has always been like that, whatever your guy says is true and right and whatever the other guy says is wrong. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to bash any republicans here, same would be true for Biden, if Biden wakes up tomorrow and decides to stop helping Ukraine, there will be democrats who will say "yeah enough is enough we should stop Biden is right" as well.

It makes no sense to have two party system, you have hooligans of each party and they will support their party no matter what happens. There are few people who change parties time to time, but very few of them, not a lot.

It was a tough night for Galatasaray, and it is definitely a shame that they lost that badly, and I believe that they are going to do something major with the team about that. They failed to have the full squad ready and we are in February right now, to think that a few players couldn't be ready for February games should mean that there is something wrong with the team, and that is why I believe that they are going to end up with much better transfers from here on out.

The problem with clubs is that they are not really that consistent with the staff, and when staff learns their lessons from mistakes, they end up getting fired for those mistakes and never show how they improved. Next season, I bet they will get players who are much more ready to play.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: February 23, 2024, 02:08:23 PM
Al Hilal definitely looks like the better team and I am guessing that they will win the league, not sure if they will win the AFC, but they are doing their best as well. In the end, wea re going to see them dominate AFC with all saudi teams because they are spending so much money on the players so they should be getting the wins anyway, it should be the thing that people expect.

Al-Nassr or Al Hilal should be getting the win there and the cup too. A situation where AL Hilal wins both the league and AFC at the same time could be something amazing for them, they are going to end up with a great situation and that would show the world that you do not need to get aging old stars to be a good team if you can offer players who are on their prime a lot of money as a salary, they did that and they spent less than what Al Nassr pays for Ronaldo.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2024, 10:46:50 AM
For Xavi Hernandez, I'd want to say he should have been supported this season but he wasn't due to Injuries and also financial challenges affecting them.
Some of them players Innit also are also not well piad by the club completely so I wonder how they want to be play with them hearts. Lack of support from the management and the Injured players absent affected Xavi Hernandez because he was same man who won the Spanish La Liga with Barcelona last season.
The most difficult position at the moment is probably experienced by Xavi. Last season Xavi brought Barcelona to La Liga champions in an extraordinary way. This was even done when the team was having financial problems.
Xavi returned the favor very well to Barcelona. however, the support from management was not that good and not what Xavi had hoped for. I don't think Barcelona will get a very good coach like Xavi with all the limitations that Barcelona has.
This season Xavi may realize it will be difficult to compete for the La Liga trophy. deciding to leave his position is also not bad in the eyes of fans. he has given his best for Barcelona.
It is really a very big shame and I did not expected him to be fired this quickly. Maybe it is not really a firing but he just didn't feel the pressure there to be worth it. He is a great player in the Barcelona history and he just saw no end to their financial misery and the team was doing nothing to stop it, so they were just dealing with trouble after trouble and he couldn't get any decent players for the amount of money they had, they had trouble even keeping the players they had.

So, he saw that things will not get any better and decided maybe to just quit, he already won a title with them, 50% title run is not bad and he could quit while he is still remembered as a good manager. It would be unfair to him if they played a few more seasons with him and lost it all.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 22, 2024, 06:29:23 PM
Offense has improved a lot as well, it is not just about people not having tough defense anymore, not even about the big guys not having a place anymore, it's offense being more in tune. If you know that the best way to score is either up close, near the layup/dunk levels or three pointers then you do that, why do something like Kobe did? We all love Kobe and he was one of the greatest players to ever play this game and you would be right to put him at around top three of all time greats.

However, that dude missed so many shots as well, there is a reason why he did though, because he played ISO at midrange almost all his career, we now know that is not a good shot. So all in all, efficient and successful quick shooting teams have more chance to win, so why get a huge Shaq guy like guy?
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 22, 2024, 05:54:32 PM
Adrien Newey is one of the greatest car designers in the entire world, in history even, so it's really a very weird feeling to see him build a Red Bull car that seems like the Mercedes one that failed after this new change.

I am not saying that Red Bull will fail, even at testing it looked like they had the best time, so I am not saying this new car is bad, but the question needs to be asked, what did Mercedes failed to do with this design that they had to change it whereas Newey found a way to make it work and insists on this being the car? I feel like he found the problem that Mercedes couldn't find and that's why he made this change, so the result is definitely questioned and we are going to see if it will work as well as he hopes it would.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 22, 2024, 05:28:22 PM
I would have understood if Arsenal played much better but just got unlucky, that happens in football, just recently City had 25+ shots and scored only once, that type of unlucky situation could have happened and I would totally understand that.

But Arsenal didn't even play all that well, it didn't become all that obvious for that and that's the trouble for me, why didn't they played that well and I think that should be the most important part of it we should consider the situation to be a little bit different in this case. I understand why people would have trouble with it, but that doesn't mean that we should be considering Arsenal as unlucky, they just straight up played terrible and that's their problem, they should fix something next time.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: February 22, 2024, 05:02:43 PM
Roma and Milan duo of course looks to be strong candidates and I do agree that they are good teams that could end up winning the Europa cup if they can get lucky in few games, they have nobody else than these three teams that can beat them, or of course they could be unlucky and lose to anyone as well.

However, we should not consider them to be all that different, not all that difficult but not all that easy neither. There is a reason why everyone thinks Liverpool or Leverkusen will win, because they are just by far the best and that is why people will end up supporting them all the way through, there is nothing else to be done about this for sure. We just need to consider them to be the leading candidates because they are so good.
