I thought Sri Lanka U19 team was stronger than Namibia U19 team. But I am completely disappointed with the performance of Sri Lanka U19 team. Namibia's captain won the toss and decided to field. And they are bowling quite well. Apart from Supun Waduge, no other batsman in the Sri Lankan squad can bat well. Sri Lanka lost 6 batsmen to collect 98 runs. At the end of 33 overs, Sri Lanka collected 114 runs under 19 teams. Supun Waduge remains unbeaten with 40 runs. Sri Lanka may lose all their wickets before 150. The performance of Sri Lankan players was quite good against Zimbabwe in the previous match as well. But today they are not able to bat well against Namibia. However, Sri Lanka's bowling order is quite strong. Namibia Under-19 team bowled brilliantly against Sri Lanka Under-19 team Sri Lanka Under-19 team bowled out for just 133 runs by Namibia Under-19 team bowlers. Sri Lanka Under 19 batsmen should have batted more responsibly. Because the target of 133 runs could not give a big target to the Sri Lanka Under-19 team. Girona simply demolished Sevilla by scoring 5 goals. I was feeling Girona would win but this was much more than I felt. Sevilla really had no power left to defend their opponent and like I said before I don't know how they will manage to save themselves from this situation before relegating.
Can’t we just conclude that this team, Girona is so good and winning the La Liga this season shouldn’t bull by luck for them but a deserving one for them. Just look how they played and won Sevilla with a four goals difference, they are indeed ready for the fight of the title winner this season. How they play, organised themselves in the league is so exceptional and they don’t fail to give the best result in order to maintain their stand in the league. I must say this should be the best season Girona would have ever played for a long time now. Sevilla on the other hand keep producing poor results, they shouldn’t wait until when they have no power left and then relegate from the La Liga which won’t be nice to see it happen after winning the Europa League just last season. Sure we can.  Girona are a team that can even beat teams like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid by scoring 4 goals against each one of them. I mean even this by itself is just an incredible work! When it comes to Girona's title chance it is quite high now. I still don't want to see it higher than Real Madrid though but Girona also deserves the title for sure. Girona need to beat Real Madrid first to get much closer to the title by the way. Their previous game was a big defeat for Girona by 3-0 home. At Santiago Bernabeu their job will be extra difficult. Girona's players also managed to perform well against the two giants of La Liga like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. And they defeated both these teams. Both teams are now far from the top of the table as a result of the defeat against Girona. Madrid and Girona are now fighting for the La Liga title. Girona scored 51 goals in 21 matches this season. Girona has scored the highest number of goals in La Liga this season. Madrid scored 43 goals in 20 matches. This shows that Girona's attack is very strong this season. And so it is now challenging for any team to win against this team. |

Girona have proven that it is possible to maintain a consistent performance without a star player in the squad. Girona's performance is getting stronger by the day. I have only seen Girona play poorly in two games this season. The team's performances against Real Madrid and Almeria were poor. They lost against Madrid and shared the points with Almeria. Girona also drew three more matches, but their performance was good enough. And so it can be easily assumed that if the players of the team can maintain the consistency of such performance then they are the worthy claimants of the La Liga title. However their main rival Real Madrid is very strong and experienced. They will not want to miss out on the La Liga title in any way. Real Madrid will continue to make maximum efforts to win the title. |
