i dont get it... how in the world did anyone define a GF750TI as Mining Hardware... I returned returned a fresh Geforce 760GTX and bought a Radeon 280X because radeons do triple as good as Nvidia cards. Make it Asics or Radeon cards, thenn you can call it a reward. Dont get me wrong, i like the way of "incentivicing" the crowds but you can't make it rewarding by giving away slow garbage hardware. Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about.. The 750ti is based on nvidia's new chip, and beats the 760 hands down hashrate-wise. It doesn't beat the 280x on speed, however it beats the 280x on hashrate per watt, not to mention, it's way cheaper, it runs more quiet and a lot cooler. So go do some reading up before you come in here talking shit that doesn't add up, thanks. That is indeed news to me. Sorry 'bout that. I have been mining on my Gaming PC with 3x 280x for the last few months but electricity is so expensive here in germany(0.35$/kwh) that i am considering selling 2 of the cards to buy BC instead. Competing against rising diff and asics makes mining worthless for me. Possibly see newer gridseeds with higher hash rate, and that also allows more time for better software/driver support. I still think the 750ti is a weird prize. ...but I'd take it. |

Multipool Dev should release the clarification note on why the miners are receiving the coins shorter than their expectation. It would lead to less miners mining the pool.
I personally believe that i am ready to accept the amount half than expected because I knew that I am mining not for the btc but for the constructive growth of BC.
Looks like someone is trying to explain paying half by saying "well, price is doubled" .. but some of us did not mine at high price and hash, so got well scammed either way. Either way .. This payout is from at least 12 hours back. You have not been paid for the past 24 hours, but the 24 hours BEFORE the run that started 12 hours ago. Adjust your expectations.
If you think your payouts are low:
- We switched pool / IP to new version -> Check your fail-over!
- The payout is from a while back due to Cryptsy failing
- Check the current profitablity from Wafflepool - We beat that.
- The price roose to 9500 and back to 8500. We buy all day long, might have been some high buys. (We try to prevent this as much as possible)
- Check your failovers, check your rigs, and check your WU. Don't expect your 3.5 MH/s rig to do 3.5 MH/s. It does 3.2 at best if you look at WU.
Also, check last days Wafflepool. We are still way better then that.

If I put more than one, is there a different command then failover-only, or is it just whichever one is listed first gets checked first? Alright, just got my payout for 34 hours of mining at ~4Mh/s - 115 BC.
That is a TERRIBLE payout.
Why, exactly?
Its half what I got for half the time, same hash. And it was when pool was at 500Mhs not 1.5Ghs Well, maybe some pool ops can explain. I'll be removing my rigs, sadly, very soon, if this isn't resolved. Should have had at least 320 or so... 57 BC payout for about 28 hour session with 2.8 Mh rig. Was getting about 150 in the beta pool. Strange indeed. Please note that these are the payments of the shares collected 10 hours ago. Cryptsy had some problems releasing the coins. Fair enough, though that still puts me at a good amount less than appropriate. |

First coin that is successful gets the credits. The coins that copy never get as far. Hence why Litecoin is behind Bitcoin. Same reason why coins that tried to copy Doge and be meme-like failed. Full disclosure - I am long some Blackcoin. But some of the claims on here are delusional. If you think that BC's going anywhere near LTC you're crazy. LTC has a massive history behind it plus mainstream Chinese exchange adoption which took it a couple of years. We are now living in a different age. New coins appear every DAY. There is no "first mover" advantage to be had here. Any coin which gets launched in the same 3 month window can be considered a "first mover". Doge's "first mover" advantage is taking it on an express trip to zero satoshis because once the speculative value is wrung out of it, there's no functional value left. Just saying - don't be surprised when BC tops out at a few hundred more SATs and that's it done. It's already doing pretty impressively for a coin that draws the bulk of its value from an overtly hostile marketing strategy. i'm banking on the multipool's upcoming buy pressure. obviously, you're not. This guy is also delusional about Doge - big money backs Doge, and more mainstream exposure than anything but BTC. It will not see single digit Satoshis, if ever, for years... |

There is no need to rush this hard-fork... Fuse will need a day or two to double check the code.
At this point, no one is going to use this exploit against KDC... at a network hash-rate of less than 100Mh/s... a straight up 51% attack would be easier and a guaranteed success compared the aggro of a using the KGW exploit. The exploit is most attractive for attacking networks where a 51% attack is not possible, because the KGW exploit only needs about 10% of the network hash-rate to be effective, so it makes the big networks vulnerable.
In the case of KDC, a 51% attack is instant and effective... and not much hash-rate would be needed... in fact... I could launch a 51% by myself at the moment with ease.
So more important to take the time to ensure the fix is implemented properly, add a few checkpoints, and make sure the hard fork is deployed after a considerable publicity and notice to all exchanges, merchants, users, and miners than rushing it because of the fear of being exploited.
If there is going to be another hard fork perhaps we should rethink the block payout... Hash is king and you have to pay for it.  I would suggest a fixed reward for all future blocks (no halving). Remember the more blocks hashed the less dilutive a payout is. why not 88? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/88_(number) reward is 8 and price is around 1500-1800 .... so u want make it 88 .... where is your brains ? My brain is on the meager 60Mh/s and the security of the coin. Where else should your brain be? 88 coins a minute buys you a few hundred Mh/s even at lower prices. It's not like 88 payout tanks the coin 80%. The more blocks that are produced the less inflation a new block creates. Unless of course you want a coin with 20Mh/s NET HASH and anyone with time to kill can 51% attack your coin... Don't focus on the price, worry about the underpinnings. Lol you are the one who are most focused on the price, you turned off your rigs because you hadn't enough profit. And my potential hash is not applied to any coin. Who wins? no one. I would mine a coin valued at 1 satoshi if it was worth the effort. I don't give two shits about the actual price, I just care about the exchange of my hash for equitable value. Call me the evil scum of the earth for being a profit miner until your blue in the face and your coin withers to an unsecure hash rate, I could care less. This is just a side hobby / educational experience for me, I made a suggestion on block payout to improve the net hash. They're still working on the accuracy of the stats, but don't worry, you'll get paid for all the shares you submit regardless of your reported speed. I've been using the pool for the last week and it often reports my speed as 5x what it actually is, but it's still paying me accurately (although I wish it was paying me 5x more Sweet, thanks! I love the idea, and have become jaded with 99.5% of all the coins out there... ...yeah, only about five or six I can respect... |
