562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: July 24, 2013, 08:17:01 AM
I suppose you DID pay VAT.

I completed the order using GRXXXXXXXXX . literally no biggie
you suppose correct
563  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: July 24, 2013, 07:19:39 AM
Found a bug

http://isvat.appspot.com/EL/123456789/ RETURNS TRUE (using the right number)

http://isvat.appspot.com/GR/123456789/ RETURNS FALSE,

although the page states Greece as GR, not as EL which is in the European VAT SYSTEM

So perhaps Burnin has to change its code for Greece from GR to EL

You can check using the page: VIES VAT number validation
http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/vatResponse.html?locale=en

Try the VAT of the Greek public Electricity producer: 090000045

EL is everywhere, not GR.

Same here for Greece.

Tried both formats EL123456789 and 123456789 (actual number differs).
Still charging VAT.

My VAT is registered with VIES.

Now what?
I completed the order using GRXXXXXXXXX . literally no biggie
564  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6: 638 ASICs gone 50638 sold on: June 17, 2013, 09:18:48 AM
I have a question. i've ordered 20 chips from the 2nd batch and am seeing that a lot of people have arranged for their chips to sent out to burning (which is what i am planning).
How this is possible while the orders are not open yet? did i miss something?

568  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 21, 2013, 08:13:07 AM
@puertolibre you 1) cannot copy paste information from what you see in your screen
2) did not follow my suggestion.
3) assume english is my native language?
Well, continue to write whatever you want on anything that refers to bfl if that makes you a happier person.
I sincerely dont give a shit.
Sad people are sad and thats it. good luck with that. (and i wont even ask you how is your hashing monster doing... Wink )
569  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why isn't someone at BFL cancelling and refunding my order? Son has Cancer!!!!!! on: February 21, 2013, 07:06:23 AM
in case this is true (you'll have to forgive my disbelief ) , i wish your son get well as soon as possible.
From my experience with bfl is that communication isnt that fast. My last e-mail took them 6 days to reply. I havent seen a situation where a refund is not honored.
now.. in that remote possibility of you lying about something like that for a "quick refund" or something... you are just [......- lot of words come into mind-....]
570  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 20, 2013, 02:28:31 PM
I just realised that you went so far as to check in the airplaine flight. With the best intentions to a fellow human, find a hobby , fast!
571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 20, 2013, 08:32:52 AM
@puertolibre a personal question. even though i am a bfl customer and dont even know if i receive a paid (09/2012)product this year ( it sucks , yes i know it ...)  , havent YOU got tired of all this? I mean all the mocking and all of the endless arguing with that unbelievable person (i have worst worst for it but maybe another time) ...
Considering your ignore button is becoming even more yellowish that the day before.
Even i dont know if bfl is running for the hills or they have their chips soaking in unicorn blood ( pfff some people's arrogance is annoying) , but i am sicked of this situation.
Most of the time i dont want to read about it , much less to comment on it.
I remember that you were an avalon customer. Arent you a bit dissapointed of how you are being treated? Is this your way of venting?
572  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining question on limits on: February 14, 2013, 08:13:41 AM
@brincobt
1) probably you missed the point of the question... and no ,i will not answer that Wink
2) figured already that ,
3) gaining wasnt the point.

@crazyates  that is an excellent suggestion. a bit messy but does the work . thanks Smiley
573  Bitcoin / Mining support / Mining question on limits on: February 13, 2013, 03:12:28 PM
To whoever know:Is it possible to use a miner (bfgminer,cgminer,.....) with any of the asic products that can
a) mine on multiple pools
b) "cap" the hashing power to a limit
c) load balance if a pool is off or unrechable

an example. i want to always hash with 1ghash on deepbit (god forbit!) , 3 ghash on slush , 5ghash on another pool.
in case of the "other pool" goes off , the 5ghash to be distributed among the 2 previous pools. the detail on that is the hash limit. i havent seen that anywhere (or i've missed it)
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Desktop Bitcoin client implemented as local webpage? on: January 22, 2013, 10:34:30 AM
The normal bitcoin client isn't such a fantastic tool for regular users (read: totally normal users).

Wouldn't it be possible to build an instawallet type service that sat directly on the users main computer? What would be the advantages/disadvantages of this? Obviously you would still need bitcoin running, much like Armory, but would it pave the way for people to develop skins, different layouts, more convenient interfaces? Or would it just be an additional security nightmare?

Well you would need apache and php to do that. I mean someone could write a java/python program that didn't require that and already had a server embed, but i don't know sounds actually harder.
i created a webpage in php that read rpc info  from the actual client but as gweedo pointed out it is harder for normal users.
+1 bitcoinoxygen .  blockchain.info is easier for everyone
575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intersango exchange on: December 12, 2012, 09:59:19 AM
I got a reply. " There is a backlog.  It is being cleared."  i guess that what stephen gornick wrote is true.  I wasnt used to such delays from intersango and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing that. I will have to wait and see when .  thank you for your replies
576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Intersango exchange on: December 11, 2012, 11:09:18 AM
Hello to all.
I have stumbled upon a kind of problematic situation the past days.
I deposited btc to my intersango account, sold them and tried to withdraw in euro using a sepa transfer. Until now all is working as supposed to.
The problem starts when a lot of days passed and my transaction is still at a "Requested" status instead of sent.
I opened a ticked of course yesterday and waiting for the answer. Its probably nothing but i am asking if anyone else has problems this time with transactions.

577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making better use of FPGAs on: December 10, 2012, 10:08:58 AM
Having asic delivered in the near [....] future, i dont think that you could get a good price on those.
I am pretty curious though as to how much an fpga unit would sold now.
578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are the BFL forums in f****** China? on: December 10, 2012, 10:02:50 AM
... before you make assumptions  you should read too... i did not say or implied that they didnt. i said i wasnt aware of that.

You are posting to a thread that is all about making you aware of censorship at BFL forums. So let me ask you again: can you read?

ok it seems that complicated statements dont work with you. I am sorry about that.
YES, i can read. Thank you for making me and everyone else , aware of that incident. Now what?
579  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are the BFL forums in f****** China? on: December 10, 2012, 09:46:35 AM
frizz you can read yes?
i actually have a real job to take most of my time ...
before you make assumptions  you should read too... i did not say or implied that they didnt. i said i wasnt aware of that. i am not a native speaker in english but i assume that my sentences make sense...
580  Other / Archival / Re: Warning, ALL BFL PRE-ORDERS ARE NON REFUNDABLE - CONFIRMED BY INABA on: December 10, 2012, 09:42:16 AM
mem,
thank you for the warning.
If that doesnt happen , we will hunt down bfl workers with torches... do you want to participate?
is this thing ever going to end ? when (i am not saying if  being a bit optimistic ) bfl sents final products on their customers you will start the posts with title like "[ATTENTION]BFL SENT PRODUCTS TO A SPECIFIC GROOUP OF PEOPLE FIRST!" ?
