The only vague info i have is that Yifu said, when i called him, that its still time until the chips reach... i guess at least 1 or 2 weeks are in between. If taking it strict then the 19th june is the day when zefirs first batch was ordered 9 weeks ago... the earliest possible time when the chips could arrive. But more important is that burnin and other devs check their miner designs. Without that the chips are useless.
But im sure it will work out...

Whats the status on the sample chips ? a small lottery would be cool so that the smaller ppl would get a chance to hash away with the chips aswell

The first 30 sample chips arrived and are shipped to developers. 20 went to burnin because 99% of the chips form this groupbuy seems to go to him and he only will build miners when he tested a board fully. The remaining 10 chips went to 10 other developers that applied for them successfully.

Before samples can go to other people all the devs should have enough to prove their designs. Without working designs from developers or assemblers small people couldnt hash with the chips anyway.

Yes, cost of shipping will be added later, depending on your location. Handling and packaging fee is fixed 10US$ no matter where you are and how many chips you have. There is 8-10 weeks window between order and delivery of the batch, so there is plenty of time to decide what to do with your chips.

I have a question. i've ordered 20 chips from the 2nd batch and am seeing that a lot of people have arranged for their chips to sent out to burning (which is what i am planning).
How this is possible while the orders are not open yet? did i miss something?

They did just notify Sebastian that he should send their chips to burnin once they will arrive. But they will also have to arrange the order with burnin when he launches his website.

Do if you like but its not like its going to go faster that way. There are probably plenty of people wanting to buy Asics from here right now but is afraid that the batch will never happen. Its a Catch-22 in that sense. If you want to help you might want to consider at least ordering some of that now since the first 1000 chips is most likely the hardest to collect.

Definately a catch 22 .
You could just buy the 1500 and see how the sales progress after that. If not content, you can get your coins back free of charge (before finishing of the batch).

Sorry, i missed that point. I noted it now.

@Tornate... its correct... you can see a good chunk of refunds in the old batches already. Its no problem to get the bitcoins back as long as the batch isnt ordered already.
