561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved. Improved to scam you? on: September 02, 2011, 01:58:21 AM
So could smoothie tell me what scam I played here? Smiley By writing a better client, getting someone excited, they donated some of the earliest mining to me, they lose SC on the market, blame me.

My I'm a mastermind, what an evil and cunning scam  Grin  Quick, everyone sell your SolidCoins!
562  Other / Off-topic / Re: CoinHunter RealSolid whoever you are is a SCAM ARTIST BEWARE on: September 02, 2011, 01:46:20 AM
SAC it's disappointing you turned a bit childish recently. I know losing "money" on the market is a big deal but to blame me for your own mistakes is quite silly. You shouldn't have stayed up for 30 hours straight trading and getting no sleep among other things.

People who play the market risk losing SC, I've lost 10000 SC myself so I can understand how easy it is to lose it. Blaming me for releasing articles and "dropping" the price or buying SC on the market when I want is just yeah... childish. Though I'm not sure if you are a child or not so perhaps I'm expecting too much. Anyway I understand why you feel the need to vent so I don't mind, you're still welcome in the channel.

I just find when people start saying subjective things they usually don't have any substance to whatever they are trying to get across.... that's one of my values. If you find something factual to say I'm all ears.
"subjective"? Like nearly everything you post, including this http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php article?

Very little subjective in there. Where things aren't certain they are written that way. Like I said, as long as you don't fail at reading comprehension, you will see it.

Whether or not you are the leader of SolidCoin (and if you are not, then who is?), somebody in charge wrote and posted the article you linked on the official SolidCoin site. It speaks of very poor and unprofessional judgement. All SC bounties have run through you, as have all the announcements. You are the de facto spokesperson for the project, and if you don't want that, then perhaps somebody else over there should step up and make that announcement.

I guess it's just one of your values, that writing like mine and communicating the way I do is unprofessional. I'm sure many other also share it. But I won't change who I am to suit you, I have a personality, I like making jokes and I don't take myself too seriously. If eating some carbs in the morning and ending up with a diamond at night is the way you want to live then who am I to stop you? Smiley

565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 02:18:42 PM
Again, totally unprofessional, and no true business would make such accusations. Do yourself a favor, hire a real PR firm and either run everything thru them or at least bounce it off them first. If you are going to try to be the world leader in digital currency then you should probably try to act like it.

Firstly, I am not a SolidCoin business, I haven't had enough time yet to start some. I'm just out there promoting a better currency, along with hundreds of others. I don't own "SolidCoin", but I own some SolidCoins, if that makes sense. Smiley And I'm certainly not going to be the biggest winner if the currency goes beyond Bitcoin parity. Like I said the money thing isn't an issue to me, perhaps it is for others and if they can become wealthy off SolidCoin then I'm glad I can help.

I also don't want to be known as the "Leader" of SolidCoin, I feel like I'm just doing my part for a good cause. Others are also doing what they can because they want to live in a world where a currency like SolidCoin is commonly used and allows them economic freedom.

566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mooncoin - Solidcoin/Namecoin to BTC Exchange on: September 01, 2011, 01:38:15 PM
SolidCoin being the exception here

*cough*  Smiley
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Bitcoin To Collapse? on: September 01, 2011, 01:27:29 PM
And anyone with a brain would not need any warning as this all is just common sense.
Nice elitist approach that is, reminds me of Linux users. Who cares about those people without common sense?

You also seem to ignore that MyBitcoin, and generally ewallets as a way for non-technical people to use Bitcoin was promoted for a long time by high profile Bitcoin figures like Bruce or Gavin. Instead of teaching people how to actually use Bitcoin we instead went for the easy path of just redirecting them to some ewallet site.

This is not a coincidence though, I understand that the goal of the project is to actually have very few people using Bitcoin to store their wealth and transact, which is the reason why any usability of the client (like a simple button for exporting your wallet) has so little priority.

Yes you are spot on here Blitz.

....

Why should "idiots" not be able to join a currency network Vladimir? I want them to use SolidCoin,  and we'll make it easy and secure for them to do so. Mybitcoin.com was also promoted on the MAIN bitcoin site, so let's just put that out there. Everyone on the forum knew did they? Yet it wasn't taken down off the main site? Jeez...... I'm sure the people who lost 1.5 million dollars are glad you knew and did nothing..... you can shout "I TOLD YOU SO IDIOTS" then high five each other at your mensa meetings. Wink

This thread had some good information and some crap too. Normal.
Reading SolidCoin responses to some of the post has been informative, entertaining and yes, sometimes even close to embarrassing. Most of it was still good and looks like the guy believes in what he is doing.

Now he's post are stating to sound like cries for help by a hysterical 12 years old, who has a nervous brake down and has gone to a self destruct mode.

SolidCoin dude, take a chill pill and cool down. This is not how computer scientists, with decades long experience, act in public. Wink

I would say the same. In fact, I think maybe the person now posting as CoinHunter is not the same physical person as the one that started this thread. Too much discrepancy in the style and expressions of writing. And if he's doing his business deals at such a level of verbal exchange, well, I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot stick.

It's funny how I get accused for being a conspiracy theorist for writing that article yet people can claim whatever they want about me and it's "ok". Smiley "Oh it's a team of people posting on a forum". "Oh it's a CIA plant" . It's also funny how no one has yet tried to refute anything in the article..... and no one will be able to provided they have good reading comprehension. Because NONE of it is a lie or mistruth.

It's also a misunderstanding of my personality I think, come on IRC and have a chat.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Bitcoin To Collapse? on: September 01, 2011, 12:45:09 PM
it's funny how the mybitcoin and bitomat incidents are attributed to features of Bitcoin that Solidcoin would not have... this is shameless propaganda

Actually no, whilst the new developer section hasn't been put online yet we will be giving businesses all the tools they need to support SolidCoin. We will be dealing with all the "Financial"  matters for them and the "Security" matters for them. This way their own code doesn't have to implement the same thing over and over again which is what we are seeing with Bitcoin. And as we know people have differing understandings of the Bitcoin system and also programming in general.

This way we won't get a situation where mybitcoin.com is accepting transactions with 0 confirmations  because they are unaware of the security problems. Whilst it won't completely eliminate all issues it will certainly reduce them significantly. The same goes with wallet handling which is pretty much not told how a business should handle and protect it (bitomat).

Whilst bitcoin experts on this forum may say "ITS OBVIOUS ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD DO THAT", well guess what, plenty of idiots want to run sites using bitcoin. If you don't protect them from themselves you're going to get sites being hacked and ruining the reputation of the currency.

how can you expect to be taken seriously ?

If you want a guarantee of success you can look elsewhere. It's up to each person to make a decision about what they want to support, if you think there is too much "bs" and "lies" then no one is asking you to invest in a new currency. With the amount of negativity you have I'm not sure where your "best place" is to be honest. American Idol judge or something maybe? Smiley
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 12:01:36 PM
My, how...unprofessional. I cannot see what he hoped to gain with that article. Appealing to the lunatic fringe, perhaps? The FBI making Bitcoin, really? Anybody who has issues with Bitcoin would already be using SC, and all this does is push any tentative users away. Couldn't take the professional route, had to go the drama/hype route? Seriously, would have gained a lot more people with 'our tx times are quicker, etc etc' vs. 'the feds invented bitcoin!!!1!'. How many businesses are going to read that article and think "I need to use SC over bitcoin"?? You really can't call yourself the 'bitcoin-killer' until you at least reach parity with bitcoin, and have somewhat more than 5% of the network.

Amazing to think that the 20,000 SC i've mined are going to be fairly worthless, thanks to one high school level post designed to reach out to the tin foil hat base. This does serve to prove that SC is a single man operation, because if 2 or 3 reasonable adults had proofed that article, it never would have been released. Again, very unprofessional in my opinion.

Haha are you kidding? If you truly think they are going to be "Worthless" go and sell them, they have value as of right now. So please. Do people seriously think I care if they sell SolidCoins? It's quite hilarious, I have an incoming stream of BTC that will always be there to buy them, and there are many thousands that want them.

If you think anything in that article is incorrect then please tell us what is. The fact is people are asking questions, and this answers a lot of them. If you don't like the answers you don't have to. No one is asking you to become wealthy thanks to SolidCoin, so if you think it's going to be worthless you simply need to go and sell them all and get back on the Bitcoin horse. See how well it goes for you.

Unlike most people I know the future of SolidCoin because many of the details haven't been released yet and many of the business relationships we have formed are also being held back. The only lunatic fringe are the people supporting bitcoin because it was first. There are massive issues with it, some which that article raise , many more which it doesn't.

EDIT: Just because someone missed an opportunity doesnt mean they made a bad call and lost. No one can make every perfect trade as obviously you don't realize given your comment.

Sure but when you make 20 times less than what you could have and then tell people to listen to your "sound judgement" it's a bit rich. The truth is, you don't know much at all about the future and what's going to happen. If you did, you wouldn't have sold for only 30BTC instead of waiting 48 hours and making 600BTC.

And yes, everyone please sell SolidCoins. Over 80% of them are being hoarded, I'd like to buy them cheaper. 0.015 is a good price, it's probably going to be 0 in a few days. Everyone sell!
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 10:47:53 AM
Funny thing is that I did not make 205 BTC trading solidcoins for btc back and forth purely based on luck. Also I am not making my predictions purely based on just guessing.

But you used that same brain to sell 25000 coins for 30 BTC when you could have made 600BTC 2 days later?

LOL. Yeah. I'll keep listening.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 10:46:01 AM
Did you see the URL of this forum? "Bitcointalk.org"?
You know why you got attention for you coin in the first place?
Do you realize why your coin ever got where it is now?

Can't wait till I get home to dump those coins on the exchange...

And why do I care exactly? BTC isn't as good as SC and has lots of known issues. If you can't handle that then yes, sell all your SolidCoins and move back to the inferior network.

I'd welcome a lower price.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 10:39:31 AM
My guess is the overall price of solidcoins for the next few weeks will be lower than it is currently.

At the moment there exists 693 BTC worth of bids on bitparking exchange and ixcoins has 251 BTC worth of bids and i0coins have 274 BTC worth of bids.

And this is at the same time when solidcoins are 6 times the price of ixcoins and 10 times the price of i0coins when the total market bids in BTC are about 3 times at most for solidcoins as to ix or i0.

Conclusion: Solidcoin price is overpriced and needs to deflate pushing price downwards in the near term.

About 600 BTC has been taken off the bids and I guess moved to Ruxum. It was at about 1200BTC visible bids earlier. And a lot more not shown according to doublec. But alas who is to say what is overpriced or not, maybe it is and you should sell what you have.

New article posted, we have had some queries from people wondering about SolidCoin dealing with Bitcoins collapse and the future, so we wrote an article detailing some things. There is also a bounty for promoting it, check it out at the site.

http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php

Wow.  I didn't think it was possible, but you seem to be getting more sleazy by the day.

indeed. please do not remove this article; it exposes the true nature and motivation of Coinhunter :-)

Until 10 minutes ago, I loved this coin...

I'm gonna sell all of my 19,212 SolidCoins for Bitcoins.
This totaly sucks.

Do what you think is best. You selling them helps others wanting them. Good luck with your choice.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: squidnet SC pool ate my hash? on: September 01, 2011, 08:03:17 AM
Just to a experiment I gave squidnet SC pool about 1Gh/s over the night.  I represented around 15% of the hash of the pool  I mined for about 8 hours.  My workers on the pool showed the shares submitted.  But when I woke up I was sad to see a 0 reward balance.   Its it somehow possible that at 6-7 Gh/s the pool didn't get a single block all night?

I feel like someone collected a bunch of SC without working for it.  Of course squidnet has zero contact info on the site....   hmmmmmm

This isn't really a support question more like a concern that maybe will help someone else Wink

I was also mining there and during about ~5 hours we found one block. And I also wasn't given any SC for it. So perhaps there is an issue there.

Yes Ruxum server is under heavy load at the moment, which I guess in a way is good news? Anyone needing invites just PM me or ask around, there are plenty to share.

New article posted, we have had some queries from people wondering about SolidCoin dealing with Bitcoins collapse and the future, so we wrote an article detailing some things. There is also a bounty for promoting it, check it out at the site.

Hm... MySolidcoin...

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, GOD FUCKING DAMNIT BRUCE!!

Just kidding. MyBitcoin didn't fool me.

But in all seriousness... Well, if you'll pardon my bluntness, why in the hell did you name your site so similar to what was probably the largest fraud and scam in cryptocurrency history?

LOL agreed. Bad naming really, unless it's a clever troll designed for humour. In which case, good work.
