Anonymous System Bounty

Hi Navajo Community,

We're starting a community raised bounty to anyone who can successfully trace a transaction routed through the NAV anonymous network. To be eligible to receive the bounty, we have to be able to reproduce your findings. If you think you've cracked the code, email your results to navbounty@gmail.com.

The bounty is currently accepting both NAV and BTC pledges. Our previous bounty reached pledges of over 10 BTC and remained unclaimed!

If you've recently placed a bounty pledge with Hashforce101, please send the amount the addresses found on the bounty page of our website:

http://www.navajocoin.org/bounty

For security, I will not post the addresses here due to the risk of people quoting this message and changing the address.

I will personally donate an amount of both NAV and BTC tomorrow to start the funds.

Don't forget to share the bounty with your social networks to help spread the word!

Cheers,
Craig.

I would like to Re-Open the Bounty for cracking the Unbreakable Code along with the help from NavajoCoin Community. This bounty will be available to any person that can proove a Navajocoin Anonymous transaction can be linked from one receipent Navajocoin wallet to a different Navajocoin wallet at a different location and then verified by the  Navajocoin Development Team.

I would like to start off with 30,000 Navajocoin . The higher the Bounty the more it shows how strongly the Navajocoin Community believes in the Anomity of the Unbreakable Code . I would also encourage the Navajocoin Development Team to contribute to the Bounty as it will give it strength and shows how strongly the Team is aware of the Anonymous capabilities , strength and power of The Unbreakable Code.

Please advise the amount you would like to contribute to the Bounty . You do not need to transfer funds - just a pledge is sufficient and I ll add you to the Navajocoin Bounty List and post on this forum. I will monitor the forum.

We are aiming for a  large Bounty that will attract the attention from the Global Crypto Community.

Navajocoin  - The Unbeakable Code

~HaShForce101~

Hi guys, we are in the process of organising a public wallet to send your bounty pledges to. The wallet will be visible on the block explorer so the amount of the bounty will be transparent.

We will setup both a Bitcoin and a NAV wallet. Pledges are great, but we would prefer to have the amount publicly verified.

I will post again later today with more information.

Cheers,
Craig

Decentralisation Update

Hi Navajo Community,

I've made further progress over the weekend on the decentralization of NAV's anonymous network. This week I have been focusing on the encryption of the recipients address and have largely got this working now. I just have to  swap out the static encryption key with the live key sent back from the chosen server (which is the easy part). As it stands the wallet can now successfully encrypt and decrypt an address using RSA asymmetric public key encryption which is the hard part out of the way. If you're interested in the code, you can see my work in the following commit:

https://github.com/navajocoindev/navajocoin/commit/9c64f66572667dcdb39945246ccba8addae53d8c

I have also started a branch to investigate some of the performance issues the wallet has on low powered devices. The branch is called NIP2-performance-increase and can be seen here:

https://github.com/navajocoindev/navajocoin/commits/NIP2-performance-increase

Our testing of the Raspberry Pi image over the new year has shown that we need to increase performance on low powered devices before we can release it to the public. This is something our new developer Paul Headington will begin to investigate and fix in the coming week.

I've updated the projects page of the website to reflect the progress I've made on the Decentralization Implementation which now shows 30% (previously 20%). As you can see, we are steadily marching towards the finish line!

http://www.navajocoin.org/projects

I will continue to work on this in the evenings this coming week and report back with my progress at the end of the week again.

We will also have more exciting updates for you before then though, so don't forget to keep an eye on the forum!

Cheers,
Craig.

Hi Guys, I hope everyone is well and enjoying a great start to the new year.

I'd just like to reassure everyone that NAV has a committed Development team. My efforts to enlist a third developer and a business strategist recently have provided us a very well rounded and stable business unit. We are in a great position to keep NAV moving forward.

I have been putting a lot of effort into co-ordinating the dev team and making progress on our projects over the past few months. I performed much the same task during the initial anonymous network release and was in fact the Primary Developer on that project delivering all of the server scripts and most of the wallet functionality required for the anonymous network to function.

I took over responsibility as Lead Developer on the decentralisation project in November which made sense as I had more time to invest in the project and also the most intimate knowledge of how the Anonymous System works. I am committed to delivering NAV's decentralisation and am working hard to deliver a robust solution as quickly as is realistic. I am still heavily invested in NAV and believe firmly in its posturing as one of the worlds most advanced cryptocurrency projects.

I have already delivered two commits (24 and 30 December) towards the decentralisation project which can be seen in here:

https://github.com/navajocoindev/navajocoin/commits/NIP1-decentralization

I am back from my holiday break and will continue to work on decentralisation in conjunction with our new addition Senior Software Engineer Paul Headington. I work on NAV for roughly 2 hours each night when I get home from my day job (as a Senior Software Engineer) and for 1 full day on the weekend. As you can see, this is a demanding schedule but I do my best to make progress for NAV! My next full NAV day is tomorrow (Sunday) after which I will commit more code to the repository and update you all on what progress has been made this week.

Expect a similar pattern every week from now on. I will work each night then one day on the weekend followed by a weekly progress update.

Soopy is doing everything he can to deliver BIP32 to NAV which will be a massive achievement because it is a very complicated piece of work and will be a worlds first for any X13 crypto currency.

If anyone is unclear what BIP32 means, it is the implementation of Hierarchical Deterministic Wallets. HD Wallets allow a users wallet to connect to a remote block chain rather than having to sync the entire block chain on their system. This means a wallet  can be developed for mobile devices which doesn't require the entire 3GB block chain to be stored on their phone.

This is the sole function of BIP32 and it would be a great achievement for NAV to have a mobile wallet that doesn't need to store the entire block chain.

But to be clear, BIP32 is not a requirement for decentralisation so the speed of its development will not slow down the release schedule for the decentralised anonymous network which is our main focus in the short term.

Hi Navajo Coin Community,

We have launched the official version of our cryptocurrency blog called "Crypto Cereal".

www.cryptocereal.com

Previously hosted on wordpress.com, we've now purchased a domain and hosting for the site to further legitimise the project.

We're aiming to write multiple articles per week and be a source of information about cryptocurrency in general as well as the official distribution channel of NAV's press releases.

I've written and posted a new article, so check it out and please update your bookmarks!

Hi NAV Community.

I hope you've had a great holiday season (if you celebrate at this time of year). I have done some work over the last couple of days porting the API over to the wallet source code.

I have programmed the wallet to successfully read the server list from a data file and query each server until it finds one which is online and whose hash matches the last verified hash of the anonymous source code.

This is the main job the API was performing, so the bulk of what the API did is now ready to go in the wallet.

You can see my progress in this commit: https://github.com/navajocoindev/navajocoin/commit/122f5297226028bd6c8bd57ca20d41c6b92dbdb0

There's still a few things to reconnect as I dismantled some of the anonymous send for my testing.

I will now begin on reconnecting the sending code and then I will work on the propagation of the server list through the peer to peer network.

Please only attempt to use the master branch of our repository. All other branches (including this one) are considered experimental and we strongly recommend not attempting to run them.

I have also updated the projects page with an increased percentage (now 20%) http://www.navajocoin.org/projects

I will be back after the new year with more updates. The rest of the team will keep you updated on their projects as there is progress to report.

Have fun and stay safe,
Craig.

yes price again at 4XX satoshi.
and decentralisation progress bar drop to 10% Sad

WOW! I didn't notice that  Angry

Whilst the pi idea is nice, in reality you are only going to make like a dollar a month with the current staking return.....

What happened to all the "nearly finished" projects?

A working block explorer and a richlist on the official site that has been updated in the last 3 months would be nice and to be honest long overdue.

Please read this post which explains why some of the percentages have gone backwards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=679791.msg13342552#msg13342552

Also, we are looking into the rich list not working. You are right, this should be fully functional. I will do my best to get it up and running over the next days.

Thanks.

We have identified the major bottleneck and I have spun up a medium RDS database instance to take the load.

We should have this fully migrated across in the next few days. This will enable us to provide a better experience of the block explorer and a more up to date rich list.

Cheers

Great to see the updated roadmap.  Thanks.

So dj and I where playing around a bit with anon sends to one another.  Seriously, a 5% fee?!?  Are you kidding me?

Also not really understanding why amounts smaller than 10 NAV can't be sent anonymously.

smaller than 10 Nav to prevent spam in nethwork. Its fine for me.
And send anon fee I think is higher than 10 Nav so maybe too is no sense sending smaller amount than 10 Nav.
But Nav is not btc/ltc so nobody not need send so small amount coins like less than 10 Navs.
imo.
That's all well and good.  I'm just thinking ahead for when NAV's are selling in the $5-10 range :p

(yeah yeah, that's the ticket)

Always good to have the ability to truly tip somebody anonymously btw Wink

We're looking into this, I thought it was set to 0.5% but perhaps it rolled back to its original value (5%) when we restored the API from a back up.

This will definitely be lowered in the next few days.

.5% is much more reasonable... Wink

I have reduced the fee to 0.5% effective immediately.

I dont understund some things.
So what with Masternodes after decentralisation ?
Masternode was removed from road map or Rasperry Pi Staking Unit is Masternode ?
Rasperry Pi Staking Unit its for Nav wallet and stake coins but I no see info about its Masternode too or need remaining amount of Nav.
So if somebody no want have Rasperry Pi Staking Unit can use normal wallet like now ?
Masternodes is not needed to decentralisation anon ?? I read whitepaper decentralisation but my english is not enough to technical details about it or not wrote about it.
I would also like to hear from the dev's as to whether or not the whole masternode concept is literally being scraped in lieu of these nav pi's.  If so, it's quite the divergence from what was originally planned.

Please provide more information regarding how the anon is going to be scaled out and some additional details regarding the nav pi's

I have made this update to the projects page but I think I might be wrong with what I have said about the Raspberry Pi becoming the masternodes.

I will confirm with the other guys and update the projects page again if I have misunderstood.

Hi everyone.

I hope you like the update! I've been working very hard on writing that white paper and am excited about working with Paul on our upcoming decentralization.

I've just gone thorough and updated the website's projects page to reflect our progress. The biggest points I'd like to make is that I've restructured some of the milestones.

I've split the decentralization into a Research & Development milestone which has been moved into the completed section and created a separate milestone for the decentralization implementation. The implementation has quite a low percentage currently but the R&D was the difficult part and has been completed, so we're in a good position to move quickly on this.

The masternode system has largely transformed into the Raspberry Pi staking unit project which has its beta release milestone moved into the completed section already.

The mobile wallet has been split into the foundation work which is the BIP32 implementation of Hierarchical Deterministic Wallets (which is currently in progress by Soopy) and the actual Mobile Wallet implementation which has been moved to the pending section until BIP32 is completed.

I've also added in some exciting things we're thinking about implementing after decentralization like a merchant gateway which integrates with the anonymous system and bringing back the bounty challenge.

Check out the new projects structure here: http://www.navajocoin.org/projects

We've updated the foundation page to include our new recruit Paul Headington: http://www.navajocoin.org/foundation

And we've added the white paper to the downloads page: http://www.navajocoin.org/downloads

We've posted up our press release about the decentralization to Crypto Crunch and we're circulating it with other news sites.

Crypto Crunch article: NAV Coin decentralizes their anonymous transaction system

We've tweeted about it: https://twitter.com/NavajoCoin/status/679847256858570752

And we've shared it on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=499941646851822&id=275085062670816

So get sharing!

Happy Holidays!

Hi,

Yes I am new the bitalk forum. My background is in Marketing and business strategy: pitching ideas to corporates, creative marketing, and brand strategy.

I became interested in crypto currencies two years ago because I think it’s the way of the future, and began trading and investing in altcoins. I consider NAV to be one of the most promising alt coins because of its fully anonymous transactions system and innovative use block chain technology.

Earlier in the year I worked with Craig to set up his crypto currency lectures in Australia, NZ, and Taipei. I’m helping the NAV team with the release of their business strategy around the release of the API decentralisation, and helping them get articles on their technology published. Feel free to ask me any direct questions. I’ll be on the forum a bit as well if you’ve got any questions about NAV and how the projects are going.

craig? ...

im in australia - and havent been aware of any of these lectures? ...

what on earth did i miss? ...

and how do i find out about these in future? ...

and tanx for the response here Smiley ...

#crysx

In April i came over to the Gold Coast to deliver a talk to an investment group about Cryptocurrencies in general and specifically NAV and its Anonymous Technology. I subsequently gave a similar talk to a Chinese investment group in Taipei. My lecture in Auckland was more aimed at developers and showed them how to interact with Cryptocurrency wallets using Javascript.

Currently I have no lectures in my calendar but I know that Sophia is working towards getting me some guest lecture spots at some of the universities in both NZ and Australia. We attempt to announce any publicity we achieve on here, our website, twitter accounts and our blog. So stay tuned!
