563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi expect Bitcoin to last this long? on: April 14, 2015, 10:53:03 PM
He probably did. I mean the guy used various decentralised services to hide his identify whilst working on the project. Even years after he's gone, we still can not figure out, or confirm his true identity.

564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can the Bitcoin Foundation best help Bitcoin? From New Exec Director on: April 14, 2015, 08:28:41 PM
More regular meetups and hackathons, needs to be created in at least 3 different cities of every country annually. We need to specifically target developers and entrepreneurs, because they will be the ones who develop and market Bitcoin related services to consumers, which will consequently attract more users to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

If you're using funds to target users, instead of funding Bitcoin based startups or marketing to developers, what do you really expect the user to do with the knowledge? It's like educating a consumer about the TCP/IP protocol. Yes the user can download a Bitcoin client and send or receive funds if they're thought how to, but why would they do it? and why should they, if there's easier and less complicated alternatives such as PayPal or Skrill.

Educational applications for computer science, specifically targeting cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin) needs to be created and readily available for educational institutes. We need to have more software and algorithmic building kits available for students, which could be used to teach them about developing Bitcoin services, and it's advantages.

I've read the leaked documentations, you guys will never guess what's being finally revealed tomorrow (well obviously  Roll Eyes)
I'm not sure if I can even trust myself to hold it for another 4hr - 14hr

The main question is who made this remarkable, executive decision and how is it even possible?
566  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Antivirus Protection/Scanner for Mac? on: April 14, 2015, 04:37:17 PM
TBH I don't really use any sort of antivirus software on my Mac, it's absolutely unnecessary. Though AVG did provide some utility tools which were for cleaner, and removing duplicate items. The best advices I would give you, would be to turn your firewall on, set the appropriate settings, and login password for your mac
567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to invest in btc? on: April 14, 2015, 04:29:15 PM
If I had the funds, I would rack up as much bitcoins as I could. Bitcoin is still at an infant stage, more and more companies and individuals will be slowly attracted towards the decentralised currency. Which means things can only get better henceforth
568  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin is a ponzi game on: April 14, 2015, 03:09:18 PM
Hello everyone!!!
Today I was looking at the price of Bitcoin and I suddenly a question arise in my mind is Bitcoin is like a ponzi scheme first investor will get a definite profit while other will get nothing

Yes it is.  Dump your coins now.

The price is obviously going to continue to decline, so I will take your pain away btcblogger. I'll buy your coins at £130 each, before it reachs £100. I wouldn't want you to make too much loss on this 'ponzi' scheme
569  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin tax software? on: April 14, 2015, 07:06:05 AM
Can you explain why to use any software to tax on Bitcoins? I do not understand reason why. May be I missed something important. Can I be part of tax office then? Smiley

Maybe some people love paying tax more than others. How do I apply to be part of the tax office as well?  Roll Eyes
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and closing tax havens on: April 13, 2015, 03:23:17 AM
Tax evasion is a problem everywhere, I guess eventually some people might use bitcoin for that purpose, I don't think bitcoin is particularly good for criminal activity, the digital trail may be very difficult to eliminate nd law enforcement agencies will get up to date with latest technology, eventually.
What the hell are they going to do after you run your coins throught a mixer? or even depositing your coins on an exchange with a fake email using a VPN then withdrawing. The trail is cut after that. I dont think they are going to go after that many problems, unless you are like moving billions or something.

Correct, you also do not use an off shore for a couple thousand.

The problem is not hiding bitcoin when you have bitcoin, that part is easy, the problem is getting from Euros or dollars, let's say a couple million, to bitcoin without leaving a trace, or spending a lot of bitcoin just like any other form of money without having any away to show where it came from.

Well stated.

If you have these amounts in cash, I really don't see how it can be traced if the transaction was completed face-to-face, locally to a new address, which is unrelated to any of the holders previous bitcoin addresses (unless via a mixer)
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of bitcoin? on: April 13, 2015, 03:02:37 AM
i am so so much afraid with this btc price,i wont care how much it increases..but the thing i care is what if 1btc value reaches $100....then many big companys will be destroyed or will stop accepting it as payment....many btc shop will face losses

Wow you're really that stupid.

I thought i would let others say it nicely to you but god damn, did your mother take pills while carrying you?

Believe me when I tell you that I've deleted many drafts, before I decided It would be better not replying

573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kaspersky and INTERPOL Say Blockchain is Vulnerable on: April 12, 2015, 09:04:07 PM
So it is no more vulnerable that any other P2P network (as you can just spread your virus information via torrents if you want to hidden in images or other files using steganography).

IMO it would actually make much more sense (and cost nothing) to use torrents over Bitcoin so the fact that the article focuses on Bitcoin and not other (free to use) data storage P2P networks is rather odd.

Yeah there isn't a huge difference between any other P2P communication system, there are already lots of botnets that have their own P2P network. I don't see how this even deserves it's own report, it's not a very practical method of communication since it requires 20+GB of diskspace on the infected computer to store the blockchain, or a way of searching the blockchain on a remote server, which would then be a central point of failure and the whole point of using a blockchain would be pointless. They could use their own blockchain, but then that is just a run-of-the-mill P2P botnet with some minimal improvements.

Well then, I guess we've done their research for them. It wouldn't be feasible or logical for a botnet controller to utilise the blockchain to exploit each individual user. Not only would it be an outer retardation for such a talented mind, but it would ultimately end-up as a failed-attempt, after failed attempts.

I still can't grasp the reasons, why these antivirus companies didn't mention the increasing size of the blockchain to their audience?
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you would be able to get back in early 2009, what would you do? on: April 12, 2015, 08:07:11 PM
If I got back in early 2009, I would tell Satoshi how amazing he is, sell of my property and give the money to him, get his phone number, then like anyone else, I would buy and mine as many bitcoins as I can then finally in 2014 I would call-up Satoshi and give him 50% of my investment in his technology.

So you probably spend your days ass kissing Satoshi? I have to say that s a new solution nobody has come up with.  Grin

Well, every little, helps  Grin
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of bitcoin? on: April 12, 2015, 07:57:54 PM
i know thats not a fault of bitcoin...exchange should be more secured...but when ever any exchange robbed then the huge part of money got stollen from owr community..which highly effect our price..so i think we should increace our own security because nowdays nothing is safe and a single mistake can effect on the price so if some amount of people keeps their coins safe and makes a little less profit everyday then maybe we can again reach the stable state of bitcoin

You have absolutely lost me.

I think he's saying that if bitcoin loses much of its value then companies who have invested money into bitcoin or use bitcoin to operate may face difficulties. Some cloud mining companies went bust when the value dropped significantly and had to cease operations (though of course they could have just been ponzis but I think at least one 'legit' company suffered because of the fairly recent price drop). I'm sure there have been other bitcoin businesses that suffered a similar fate too.

Mining and ponzi based business models, hardly make-up the whole of our Bitcoin ecosystem, a few of these closing wouldn't lead to the title 'is this the end of bitcoin?' The truth, as I may have already stated, is that Bitcoin is 'THE' needed missing block, a block which is required by so many people, and businesses. So as far as Bitcoin is needed, it will never die.

They used a distinct address for each email sent, so we wouldn't know how many people fell for it.
Ohh... OK Thanks

Coinbase needs to display their public IP used on their email headers, or this could become a bigger problem than it is today, since users have no means of confirming these emails.

Many big companies would convert btc to fiat as soon as possible, which is the norm todo at this stage in time.
580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam or not? Coinbase offer up to $8500 dollars to small investors on: April 12, 2015, 07:00:57 PM
Seems very suspicious. I'm pretty sure this is scam.

but if its really coinbase i dont think they would post it just to scam some people

I'm sure it wouldnt be coinbase, because they would likely post this somewhere, where it would be visible to everyone.
