281  Economy / Services / Re: IDEA -- Automated sig camp join tool - account renting, no need to lookup sigs on: June 04, 2016, 12:26:51 PM
The basic issue is still not resolved.

What if someone who will rent account start scamming people, or start spamming forum and will get ban?

It can reduce reputation or even completely destroy this account.

I forgot to add this, you can only rent account, as in the app on our sever would have the ability to create/delete posts, but it will not provide this service or functionality. As far as i know there wouldn't be any logical reason to give an advertiser the permission to post or delete posts on other peoples account.

All they need is the ability to edit photos, profile text, & sigs automatically for hundreds of accounts. Anything else wan't be provided.
282  Economy / Services / Re: Renting accounts????? on: June 04, 2016, 12:10:40 PM
I've tested this idea, and it possible & secure.

I have a blue print of what should be possible, for this sort of service
283  Economy / Services / IDEA -- Automated sig camp join tool - Feature and functionality Suggestions on: June 04, 2016, 12:02:42 PM
Feature and functionality Suggestion thread

I would love for this thread to be a features and functionality, suggestion thread. The future of this service is on everyone's hands.

So i read someones crazy idea about lending bitcointalk accounts for sig camps.

[Preview]

What permission would the server provide:

Edit signature
Edit personal text
Upload photos (maybe)
>Anything else is not possible

--
--

What the lender can do:

Automatically join signature campaigns and automatically get paid.
--
--

What the advertisers can do:

Automatically post campaigns + acc requirements, amount of participants. And have that campaign up everywhere in minutes.
--
--

The best part, is that everything would be done on our servers. It would be like the borrower is using GooglerAdwords, except its for bitcointalk.

5% of any profit made would go back to bitcointalk forum as a donation for its maintenance
If enough people like this, we'll make it live

Would we need your bitcointalk username/password? - NO!

Thanks to responses and inputs from OPs on this thread. We have been able to work together to use other solutions, which wouldn't require a users bitcointalk username/password
284  Economy / Services / Re: IM Group Chat based on TELEGRAM with higher encryption the NSA cant break on: June 04, 2016, 11:29:42 AM
The NSA probably don't even need the crack your encrypted messages using this app. I bet if under investigation, the owner of the app will happily give out the encryption keys or code in a backdoor.

Plus 256 bit encryption is still uncrackable so 512bits is simply just a waste of resources.  What makes it better than WhatsApps P2P encryption ( whatsapp is also pretty popular)

Hi guys, if you're interested in PvP gambling, could you help me review this idea on this thread?

287  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: $700+ Bounty: for C# implementation of Ripple Consensus Algorithm on: June 04, 2016, 12:26:19 AM
It seems straight forward enough. C# has lots of TCP/UDP and websocket libraries (I've used some myself). I think you should be able to get it done within 2 days (with the share amount of opensource libraries around). Give it a try.
288  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Opensource - Bitcoin | Litecoin | Ethereum - ticker for Android on: June 04, 2016, 12:01:21 AM

I've released an Opensource price ticker on GitHub

You can download the APK here.
The ticker uses BTC-e for prices & Google API for currency conversion

Have you considered making this an Android homescreen widget as well? AFAIK the API isn't particularly annoying to use, save for the refresh time semantics. If I had more time these days I might have forked and pull-requested but unfortunately I can't at present.

I might release a widget later on, i'm not quite sure at this moment, but thanks for taking an interest Wink
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the blockchain size explode when Bitcoin goes mainstream? on: June 03, 2016, 11:48:13 PM
There's problems everywhere for bitcoin.
At the moment the network can handle an average of 300k transactions per/day.

Imagine if 200k users from each country decided to send a single transactions at any point, in a single day? - that's a disaster waiting to happen.

Personally the best solution that's out there, would be to have regional blockchains for each country, and have a hash value of the total confirmed transactions of the day, stored in the main blockchain.

So a block on the main chain would be created per day, and each transaction within that block would represent a country (a hash of the total mined blocks of the country).

292  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins price prediction & estimation after halving - $799.15 - $1868.52? on: June 02, 2016, 11:21:47 AM
i believe bitcoin price will be higher than $1200 after a while that halving took place.

but i got a question for you where did you come up with those exact numbers ($799.15 - $1868.52) is there any reason for this percision?

Stop it with all the bs already, there won't be any rise. Any increase that would happen has long been calculated into the current price.
The only thing we will see caused by this nonsense is disappointments on crazy expectations, causing panic selling.

haha, where have you been duck we have all missed you Cheesy

It's based on assumptions made from recent historical events. But we'll see how accurate I'm after some weeks, past the halving
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: C# Open Source SatoshiMines Bot!! on: June 02, 2016, 09:11:55 AM
I looked at the source code. Its easy to understand since its just accessing/requesting data from IE plugin but you should really use a webkit.NET plugin instead.
There's a link here

I did't look at the form design, but it would also be good to display, or add an option to show the browser plugin.
*Don't forget to suppress error messages from JS*

Well, i can vouch that the source code I see at GitHub is 100% safe.

I can also vouch that the source code of the executable that I see at Dropbox which is 20.5 KB (20,992 bytes) is 100% safe. I manually decompiled and scanned the file.

More detail ...
All the program does is implement a browser add-on, loads a webpage, clicks buttons, and checks the state of the browser... it doesn't even cache any data. The program is fairly simple (the UI and the code) I don't see any sort of exceptional handling from errors caused by the browser add-on... So, you'll likely encounter errors or crash is you're using different Windows version (such as Windows 10) other than the one it was built in/for.
294  Economy / Speculation / bitcoins price prediction & estimation after halving - $799.15 - $1868.52? on: June 01, 2016, 11:16:00 PM
The price bitcoin is: £369.95, $533.29 today.

The halving is in about 5 weeks. Whats the estimated amount of increase in the value of bitcoin after this period?

Personally I think the price per/btc (with the difficulty increase) should be between: £554.425 - £1296.325, $799.15 - $1868.52
Of course, finding the precise value, would ultimately depend on many factors especially the amount of miner who continue mining blocks after the halving.

295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and defination of it by government on: June 01, 2016, 08:25:45 PM
My personal definition of bitcoin is this:

Bitcoin is a digital cryptographically secured asset and decentralized online peer to peer payment system.

You can hardly define it anything else, saying that bitcoin is a commodity or online token is just very uneducated and those bureocrats have no idea what they are talking about.

I like your definition.

If I could extend it, it would be:

Bitcoin is an offline, cryptographically secured digital asset and decentralized online peer to peer payment system.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Blockchain Opportunity in Africa! on: June 01, 2016, 08:13:49 PM
Of course bitcoin would help.

But the problem is actually obtaining and withdrawing those bitcoins. At the moment, I'm sure everyone has had to go through some sort of AML\KYC procedure before they could actually access (accept/withdraw) services by our existing bitcoin exchanges. For most fiat exchanges, all you would need is a bank card to accept and withdraw $5. For bitcoin exchanges on the other hand, you would firstly need to provide some sort of photo id, banking information, some (coinbase) even requires you to give them access to your social profile/data. Lets not talk about the trouble you'll probably encounter with your banking provider if bitcoin is against their TOS

Now lets put this into context. Bitcoin exchanges are not the most trusted services out there, and for some users, you would probably need to switch exchange providers every 2 years, or at least when they start playing with peoples funds. This increases the amount of effort and stress needed to buy/sell bitcoins.

The only solution would be to use services such as localbitcoins. Which would still be a huge downgrade to the automated currency conversion services people are used to when using common online fiat platforms such as Skrill and PayPal.

I'm sure there's probably lots of other issues which can be added to the list, that would nullify any advantages of bitcoin in certain parts of Africa.
297  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: London based Blockchain Start-up on: June 01, 2016, 09:50:20 AM
If you have c++ (which is important) and php developers then you wouldn't need python.

You're probably looking for developers with:

Whats important
desktop:C++ >Qt                      [Mac OSX::Windows::Linux]
website:JS    >Node.JS >JQuery  [client side scripting]
website:PHP >MySQL                [server side scripting]

298  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What's the best api to use for bitcoin payment project on: June 01, 2016, 01:28:54 AM
The best API to use?

Okay let me break-down my own opinion.

I'm considering bitcoind on VPS which is pretty cheap (~10$) and secure, but you would need to download the whole blockchain, maintain and configure any networking issues.

I would use blockchain.info (since it is one of the most secure) but their free service is heavily used and sometimes overloaded with API request... so i wouldn't want to add to the load or have any request timeouts/shortages impact any of my services.

I would use blockr.io but their services are just too damn expensive when compared to a simple VPS hosting solutions.

All of this leads me to blocktrail.com which is currently my favorite. Like blockchain.info, they are set out to help the Bitcoin ecosystem, by providing simplified, free, and secure API services, which is always good thing. They are popular, maybe not as much as blockchain.info, but thats good for me since they'll probably be less likely to be overloaded with GET/POST requests from servers/clients.

If the service doesn't create wallets or send bitcoins, but, requires an API which can help it explore the blockchain, my recommendation would be blockexplorer

I will also be interested in your opinions about these exchanges, or any issue you've come across with them over the years.
