How much does it cost powering 1 S2 / month? thanks

728kWh. Usual price is about $0.15 per kWh, so $109.

ok thanks so much. Well, its 0.13 € here where i live, so that would be for 31 days, ~68 EUR / month.

Not bad.

And earnings for 1 month? If someone here already has S2 since 1 month, how much did you earn mining BTC / month? just to know.

If someone could also donate me an antminer S2 coupon for bitmaintech... Smiley My username is: oskuro

Thanks again

Its totally speculative. The mining speculation subforum can help with that.
The past isn't speculative at all.

From ~ 29-Apr to 5-Jun (3 diff changes) an S2 should have made ~2.07BTC

The future however ...

I assumed he was asking about the future, otherwise it wouldn't make sense.

Not sure what is going on here but this is my public donation address. It was removed from my guides around January because no one had donated in a significant time [note the random 10 and 14 was John K dismembering an escrow transaction and aren't donations].

I think Blackarrow should be lowered, their delay is now close to 4 months and there's no sign of them shipping anytime soon.

Their communication is almost non-existent and a refund is nearly impossible to get.

If they would actually refund in time i would prefer getting a refund and buy 10 bitcoin with it than wait for them to eventually ship next year.

At this point they are starting to compete with BFL.

They're frozen pending two weeks to evaluate the 'release' period. They'll be penalised if it falls through (or could be anyway).
5624  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide on: June 10, 2014, 04:53:07 PM
On the site there was a listed Skype ID. When you type in that ID, several addresses come up. You can test that yourself. One of them is the scammer, which you must have engaged with as you sent the scammer funds.

I'm not sure why you're attacking me though...

I'd assume that because this person either sent their BTC to a scammer address, or somehow this order of theirs got fucked up, therefore they wont be getting their gear from the company in question, that you then need to downgrade that company on your little list to Z- or else get attacked and called a scam artist by this person and others that regularly troll your discussion posts.

Something like that anyways  Smiley

Pretty much.

1) Does it matter? The warranty provided is the same
2) Dust can build up very, very quickly.
5626  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP10 Setup [HD] on: June 10, 2014, 12:17:30 PM
IMO the SP10 and SP30 units are built more with datacenter than spare bedroom in mind

Designed use is not the same as what consumers choose to use products for.

208/240V is more efficient and puts a lot less strain on the power supply - the sondoolies machine is a long-term investment/installation.

Any source for that?  I have always seen efficiency gains as very small as well.

Does anyone know if the hashrate of the SP30 is less than the advertised hashrate on 110v like the SP10?  If so, by how much?

It will be less, but its hard to know by how himuch. I would guess between 7% and 20%, hopefully closer to 7% like sp10
What is specifically being metered due to the regulations on 110V? I'm assuming its a current, but a current where?

We also carry the breakout board here in the US, if anyone wants them much faster than from BA.

Bundle them with the cases when they come out, I'm really uncomfortable about them being sold alone at the moment.

SP30 dimensions:
554 X 431 X 88.4 [mm]

SP10 dimensions:
473 X 431 X 55.1 [mm]
Thank
Specs on the 80mm fans?  They look like 80x80x38mm ?

I have two Delta fans in a 4u case and they are loud.  These will likely be plenty loud but avoid the higher pitch "whine" of the SP10s?

Early measurements shows that from 1m distance the SP30 noise level will be ~68dB (PSU side, fans at 80%, power supplies at max load). We'll have exact figures only when the ASICs will arrive.
Under same conditions, the SP10 noise level is ~74dB

The fans specs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xf4j86aceagk50t/FD128038HB-S%282W7YM%29%2BC-ROHS.PDF

80mm fans at 7000 rpm are definitely an improvement, and every 200 rpm you can shave off that will make a significant difference.

Hi, I just bought an s2 yesterday and was wondering if this was normal:

-919 gh/s at the pool (btcguild) 1000 gh/s at the unit
- 5.6% reject rate (difficulty 128)

Seems fine. Up the difficulty to 1024 though.
5633  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S2 Setup [HD] on: June 09, 2014, 11:39:25 AM
OK...FML

I have S2 installed and running like a charm.
Plug in, power up. It mines right off the bat to the default pool. No problem.

Change pool, port, UNPW etc to my stuff...

Stops mining. Nada... wont mine... ziltch. HMMM...

So I do reset. And it starts mining to default again.

So, I just change the info in the conf window in the failover pool, not the main pool.

Stops mining.

FML.... If I alter the configuration window in any way... it stops mining....

Damn.

Any ideas?

Please help

5634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD] on: June 09, 2014, 12:32:43 AM
Grabbed my win7 laptop.  Installed CrazyGuy's cgminer.  It shows up in device manager.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the winusb driver.  Rebooted pc.  Run cgminer and the device does not show up.

Plugged in the other "working" rbox and started cgminer.  It runs just as it should.

Sounds like RMA time. Check for any obvious physical damage, even though its unlikely you'll be able to fix this.

5636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD] on: June 09, 2014, 12:10:32 AM
I have 2 units plugged into my main windows 7 pc.  After a reboot, one rbox will no longer be recognized by cgminer.  The other one immediately flashes a blue light and starts hashing when cgminer starts.

I've tried:

Swapping the power cables and usb cables
New usb cable
uninstalling the devices in device manager
reinstalling winusb drivers in zadig
different usb ports

The 2nd rbox won't show up in CrazyGuy's cgminer or the cgminer provided by rockminer.

If I unplug the usb cable from the non working unit, I get the following output:

Code:
  [2014-06-08 16:47:59] AMU 0 GetResults usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
 [2014-06-08 16:47:59] AMU 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
 [2014-06-08 16:47:59] AMU 0 GetResults usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
 [2014-06-08 16:47:59] AMU0: Comms error (rerr=-1 amt=0)
 [2014-06-08 16:47:59] FAIL: USB get_lock not found (1:2)
[2014-06-08 16:47:59] FAIL: USB remove not already in use (1:2)

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave

The next step would be trying to duplicate the same thing on another laptop or PC. There's too many software variables to work out what is going on there.

Ok here are the videos (aka "how to silence your SP10"):
UCoustic rack cabinet part 1
UCoustic rack cabinet part 2

ERRRMERRRGUUURD NEED THAT CABINET.

Edit: nevermind, costs $5k and weights 300kg for the 42U version!

Averaging 960GHS on an new S2 after 1D8H uptime...about normal?

I noticed my average is lower on p2pool then on ghash.io ( I was averaging 1003GHS)
P2P will always be lower
5639  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive RockMiner R-Box Setup [HD] on: June 08, 2014, 07:01:59 PM
Does anyone have a guide to getting the R-Box running off a Raspberry Pi? Cheers!
It will get messy due to the zavig requirement, will be possible though.
5640  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: June 08, 2014, 02:16:12 PM
I agree with the minimum order pricing for a unit specifically designed for mass adoption. It reduces the portion of costs being paid to a courier company significantly.

The reason why we set 4 units as minimum order for overseas market instead of 1 or 2 is that the cost for shippment is too high. DHL in China is rather expensive, we can get relatively cheaper price only if the goods reaches certain level of weight. Please kindly understand of it.

Yes, I agree!

Anxious to see a review up.  Any way you can send a sample rxbox to Dogie for review?  And how soon can these resellers get there shipments?
These are 750w per unit?  Would also like to know how cool they run as well as db.

I also agree with this Tongue
