Be careful : Hacked database of passwords of all usernames is used to change your profile (and so, your password) without email notification (and so, your email linked to your profile).

Please change immediately your password with one that Bitcointalk don't have seen since ... 2014.
Please change email password if 1 of the password have been seen per Bitcointalk in your profile.

Oh sh***. Thanks for the heads up, Meuh.

It seems legendary accounts are the most heavily targeted. I just changed my password - but I don't get it: is it that some cracker gang got hold of an old passwd database, or are they simply able to get new versions whenever they feel like it?

DAMMIT!  I started getting crypto spam daily on Sept 15th 2017 to the gmail account that I use here but I just noticed yesterday since I rarely check the Spam folder.

What do you think fellow investors  Huh Huh

I am not stupid  Cheesy

You're not stupid.  You know what we think.

I need your help or advice, bittrex is blocking members account I immediately removed all my funds from bittrex, but what other exchange can I use?

I need some exchange that is not equal to poloniex, bittrex or yobit.

I need a professional exchange, that answer support tickets.
Try Kraken. They run their server on a toaster, but they don't fuck around with people.
Lol, yeah Kraken is fine for longer term buys, but sucks for day trading the volatile moments.

Or whenever there's a "free coin" fork.
5726  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the plan? BTC in October on: October 14, 2017, 01:00:40 PM
I recently started to invest in BTC and bought from 4400 USD untill the recent prices $5000 USD up.
Definitely something will happen with the forks, Bitcoin Gold etc.

I am in for holding, but my profit is really fragile.

What are your plans for/ after 25 Oct? Dumps are expected. Is it an idea to sell before this date and buy back later?

What do you mean by "fragile"?  You're green to the tune of 15% to 30% in a very short time.  If you think it's in jeopardy and you can't afford to lose it, then sell it and take your profit. Don't expect anyone in here to tell you what will happen with Bitcoin with any certainty; nobody knows for sure... except maybe Jamie Dimon - he's pretty sure it's a crock.

Perhaps the magical smoke has escaped.
Do you have access to a USB volt meter, little shaver?

It's weird when you come home and 5600 a bitcoin is mildly depressing.....

I supposed it also depends largely on where you're coming from.  If you were coming home from working a 12 hour night shift hoping Bitcoin would have rocketed to 15k to facilitate your retirement, I can sympathize but if you were coming home from a week at Laucala Island Resort in Fiji, well... I'm not a doctor but there are SSRI's for that.

Ha ha! Denied!

5730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 13, 2017, 06:27:40 AM
How much new money is needed for every 100$ up in price ?

I'm not saying 10K is impossible but so fast, I don't see how.

The only requirement is that nobody is willing to sell for less than previous price plus $100.  There is no set formula; simply bids and asks.

5731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 11, 2017, 06:58:51 PM
How long until the next dip?

I think we will get to 5200 and then it'll sharply drop to 4500-4700 again. We will get a taste of the 5s and then back to where it's comfortable.

I have nothing to back this up, it's just purely my feeling.

Edit. This is ruling out any fundamentals that may arise.

In that case, please keep us abreast of any new fundamentals that develop.

A late good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we're more than half way back after yesterday's deep correction/profit-taking... currently $4858USD/$6079CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltCash continues to slip... currently $313USD/$391CAD (Coinmarketcap).

While a little consolidation is good, I think it's about time we moved on up to a new ATH.

Go Bitcoin go.
We all know this, anything new?

You, sir, are not exactly getting off on the right foot here.

+1
Jimbo's Canadian morning updates are an institution and very much appreciated.
You must be new here...

I think it's important to note that Romanians are generally quite direct; I'm sure there was no malice intended in his comment.
5733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 10, 2017, 12:09:08 PM
...lol with the recent news from Russia re competing with China in Bitcon mining - coupled with the faux China ban , and taken into context with the usual bullshit the MSM spout..

This "supposed" Russia "ban"

Who could really give a flying fuck.

Not me that is for sure.

Not a single fuck given.

(Even if Putin were to come into my  house and smack the hardware  wallet outta my hands I would still laugh in his face)

With all due respect... I think you spelled "shit my pants" wrong  Wink

That was awesome.  I think I shit my pants laughing.   Smiley

Yep! 1800+ coins in 3 minutes on Bitfinex.

edit: WTF and then an equal buy in the next 3 minutes?
5735  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: October 06, 2017, 05:40:56 PM
funny thing is, oclvanitygen.exe dont have -P for public key :s

It might not show up in an options list but it still works.  I've used it many times.
5736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2017, 02:59:18 PM
Bitcoin formed a morning star pattern on the weekly chart,  the 50 MA line is just cutting through the 200 MA line from below (golden cross-over pattern) on the 6 hour chart and the market is taking another crack at $4400 today.  New ATH in two weeks

Happy Halloween! Wink

5737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2017, 01:08:27 PM
That's a nice $100 pop! Will there finally be a weekend pump or dump? I'm feelin' a pump......

$4400 denied again.  Third time is the charm so they say.

edit:  I'm looking at the 30 minute chart.  Can't seem to stay through $4400.
5738  Other / Meta / Re: It would be better if moderators would open a child board - Airdrops - ... on: October 06, 2017, 01:06:45 PM
... to clean the the altcoin threads for better monitoring. I wonder when the next airdrops take place like eIOTA, eRipple, eNEO and so on :-)

You should move this to the Meta section if you want mods to see your suggestion about improving the board.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand...

the IRS awards none other than Equifax a no bid contract to verify taxpayer identities and help prevent fraud.

I am living in a fucking Kurt Vonnegut novel.

Are they now openly mocking us?

"True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country."

edit: Good morning Wink
