If I want to overclock the miners in the future, will the AX1200i have enough juice? Further consideration, is this really a good recommendation to power 3x S1 dual blade 180GH/s S1's now (~360W per) and then overclocked (~400W per)?
The longer you run a racecar in the red the sooner it is going to blow up. Hmmm.
again, thank you.
EDIT: I now see 1320W peak power on the 1200. So... why am I doubting Dogie?!
If you've got a less expensive solution I'm all ears.
AXI's are the bees knees and last forever, and will easily do 1300W 24/7. I personally run lots of CXMs.

What's up with the BE200's in those pics? Are those scorch marks from soldering them in place? Is that normal?
I'd guess it's just remnant thermal compound - there's heat sinks on both sides of the board and Dogie had to remove them to get those pics. Nothing a few fluids can't clean up before applying some new and getting the heatsinks back on. Yeah it's thermal paste, I left it on to show the strength of the contact.

jjj, I've been looking around for prices. The next best thing (in terms of prices of course - nobody has seen products to factor in quality) is the alpha technologies Viper miner selling at 5.540 GBP (about 6.700 EU). This translates to 27 Euro / MHs for a single Viper unit at 250MHs. I may be missing some new competitor, of course, but the Excalibur offer comes at 22 Euro/MHs with the added benefit of getting TWO units so you can split mine or lower the risk of a single unit malfunction. This to me is "too good to be true" and the reason why I wanted to visit Mining ASICs at CEBE.
........... Why are you talking about a scrypt miner on a SHA-256 miner topic and forum? They have both

have been reading for hours. i'm turning it over to you experts!
recommendations, please. best overall power supply for an S1 Dual Blade AntMiner.... not overclocked. In a four months I'd like to overclock with the same power supplies. need to power three dual blade machines.
amazing resource here, thanks all and thanks Dogie!

Dogie, is 1250 GH/s reported on BTCGuild (1320 GH/s avg on the miners) @ 25C normal for us 120v users? One of them is only hovering around 1305 (1215 on BTCGuild).
I'm kinda disappointed at these numbers. These are expensive units and makes a lot of noise. Was willing to put up with it if I could get 1.4 TH. I didn't know they had to limit it. Should have advertised as 1.3 TH to 1.4 TH. Can't help but feel a bit cheated/baited.
Ignore btcguild, pool hash rates are always variable. It depends what clock rate you're in, if you haven't looked in detail then you've still got the 120V FCC cap on. You need to remove that to remove the cap of power consumption which will allow your unit to hit the higher clock modes. How do you remove the cap? As for contacting Spondoolies, they worked out a form of compensation. Very good communication and customer service! I'm not quite sure as it detects your mains voltage and will show it then - I'm 240V so can't see it. Well, I'm on 120v, that's why I have the cap. I thought you meant I could remove the limitation while still on a 120v circuit. I thought I read someone was able to do that with an older firmware or hardware. I don't have a 240v mains I can easily use. Even if I wanted to it may not work since it's 60 Hz. My guess is the PSU expects 120v 60 Hz or 240v 50Hz. You can remove the cap while on 120V as its just software based. I have no idea what it looks like though.

That guy is just Josh, right?
Hard to say. At one point I was sure that it was, but I'm not so certain now. One thing is for sure: whomever is posting under that name is either a) posting someone else's words, or b) not the person who made the account. All his trusts left towards me are really specific to things Josh would 'complain' about regarding me.... Josh can you just pm me so we can sort this out please.

Oh the FUD in this thread is so cringe. If the price is too high, don't buy it! That's it, end of story - it doesn't require repeating 30x.

There was a big conference of chinese mining manufactures. Im sure they discussed fixing prices to maximize profit.
This is part of their culture, "sadly" CLEAR case of demonstrating that its all about the dollars and less about the consumer . Remember everyone sold their $400 good will vouchers so you can buy these at $1860 essentially. Edit: 3k posts

Your welcome ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Hehe, yes minersource provided two units for review, and an additional one came direct from the factory. I think I'll refrain from posting the feeble cell-phone pictures I took. The images from Dogie are "almost like being there". That's exactly how mine looked. Of course he omitted the ultra-highres pictures of the USB cable and power lead. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Oh don't worry, there are 24MP pictures of the cables and connections ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Being barrel based there are many, many ways to power these things so I'll be discussing the most common ones. I'm not sure on the timeline for this one, I'm rock solid busy until Wednesday night, Thursday is written off due to completion of the thing on Wednesday, Friday I'm away. Tldr, ASAIC. The pictures are what takes the longest and they're all ready and uploaded.

HI, but yesterday a full S2 was at 2289$ now a KIT is at 2260$ ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) what happened? W_M Difficulty rise is continuing to decelerate and they'll be preparing something new and yummy. There's no point making excessive numbers of the old stuff as it delays them giving the customer the benefit of the new stuff. <<<<Total guesswork, I have no information.

Can you post a photo of ant miner ?
I have one spare board with 70% of chips working so I would like to see if I can connect it to your ANT. Thank you
Lots of pictures of the unit in here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355387If you've got the little cable then you can connect, some screws would help as well.

One of the lowest of any ASIC company? Ratings are old anyway, awaiting update next weekend.

That's not what he asked. Usual terminology is W/GH, which is up to 1.2 or so if you downclock them loads.

Dogie's comprehensive setup guide coming soon! Hey all, Just an update on my situation, and im seeking some information. Bitmain is replacing my bad blade, and are even covering the shipping cost. Ive come to really appreciate this machine,Its not quite as nice as a terraminer in terms of "bells and whistles", but it runs cooler and quieter, is cheaper and seems easy to tinker with, (not to mention Bitmain doesn't care if you open your machine and tech it, where as Cointerra has a warranty seal). Anyway so here is my question, I used my coupon $400 off to buy another S2 today,, and have decided that id like 10 more, but want to pay the coupon price for all ten. I emailed Bitmain and they said : "Hi only $400 coupon for each unit can be offered. Please place order in our website directly.Thanks." So it kinda didn't really answer my question, I logged into my account and noticed that the coupon I used earlier today is still there, it still has a donate button, and it shows 1 total count, but then has a column next to it that says "Use Count 1" So i guess my question is am i able to use the same coupon more than once?
No. Its a one off voucher to say thanks for ordering an early batch and sorry for any issues you had. Its $400 straight out of their pocket.
