5761  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can you pass KYC using a Visa? on: November 10, 2019, 09:55:57 PM
It's difficult to answer your question without personal experience. But I doubt that you will be able to pass KYC. Usually only passport and ID card (sometimes driving license) is eligible documents for KYC procedure. As said above, visa falls into grey area.
Also, visa allows you to live/work/study in certain country only for temporary time. Visa don't make you into citizen of eligible country, so I think you can't pass KYC with it. After your visa will expire and you'll return to your original country, you won't be allowed exchange, so I don't see how they can verify you.
5762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake Coinbase Giveaway, Stay Away on: November 10, 2019, 09:34:50 PM
I would not give much importance to such websites now. People are aware of this type of scam. It's not like before when they would just post their site on Twitter and Telegram and people jumped on it immediately.

And your example is a good one. The address collect nothing
https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/address/1DT83v9X1mwJNq55nPAX31VTnZ4ffmFAUo/

(Still good to warn people ofc)
It's good to see empty wallet address. But I think it's not because that people become smarter and more aware about this type of scams. It's probably mainly because this website wasn't advertised and promoted yet to get some victims. I still often see people sending quite a lot money to the most obvious scam schemes
5763  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: November 10, 2019, 09:18:30 PM
For getting faucet, you should pass the captcha. I don't think bots are able to pass captcha. So, abusing the system is not as easy as you think.
This is what person not very familiar with faucets will say. All faucets have captcha, but they are struggling to fight with bots. These abusers are smarter than many of you may think. I don't know how exactly they are doing this dirty job, but captcha isn't always a problem. Faucet owners (including Freebitco.in) must add much more security features and it still can't protect faucet 100%

I'm working on an alternative solution, that will allow FOs become their own micro wallet.
ETA 2 weeks.
At least some good news... Will it work with all FH currencies or just Bitcoin?
And I want to ask about withdrawals. Some coins like Ethereum have high payment treshold and it's probably impossible to reach it just in month. I also tried to sell it on exchange, but nobody bought it after more than 24 hours. What do you suggest to do?
5765  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcoins4free Over 700 faucets (BTC, ETH, BCH, DOGE, DASH, BLK, BTX, POT) on: November 10, 2019, 08:38:57 PM
IMPORTANT
bitcoins4free.ml/faucethub-io-microwallet-is-closing/
As most of you probably know, Faucethub.io is going to close their microwallet on 10th December. In article above you will find all things that you need to know. Shortly, you need to reach minimal payment treshold and withdraw your coins before 10th December.
Now I have no idea what to do with my website after this date. Is it still worth to keep it without Faucethub faucets. As I understand faucets will spread to other microwallets and some will use microwallet script written by mexicantarget. So, probably there will be lot of chaos until dust will settle...

5766  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 10, 2019, 12:09:57 AM
I've got no problem at all with the new 5 post limit, even if it means I won't earn as much.
And at the same day after you made this post, you left Cryptotalk campaign. Oh, the irony... Just kidding, nothing serious, but it looks fun Smiley.
discovered that 2 posts was added, 1 paid and the other was not. The posts were not supposed to be counted in the first place because my first post was an application to join roobet and the other post was made after I changed my signature.

So, as you said, you didn't paid for that post after you changed signature. It probably means that Yobit bot don't see their signature on your profile and you won't get paid for further posts that you will make.
5767  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any reliable alternate for preev.com available on: November 09, 2019, 11:59:09 PM
I never actually understood the BTC rates on preev, the certainly were lesser compared to the rates once gets on google or other trading exchanges. Why has preev sort of had become a standard while choosing the BTC rates? I mean one can simply use the rates you get on google search and comply with the same?
BTC rates on Preev aren't taken from thin air. They display rates taken from Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Kraken and LocalBitclins. I don't know why Preev become a standard when checking BTC prices, but probably it's mainly because it was simpliest and most convenient place to check it when there wasn't so many options as we have today.
5768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: November 09, 2019, 11:41:47 PM
About Real Madrid, that was our best game in the league so far. And Barcelona, about 10min left and Messi's carrying the whole team on his back, as always.

Huge game tomorrow: Real Betis vs Sevilla. I think i'll back the home team and add them to a parlay.
4:1 result may show that was easy win, but it wasn't. Barca played their typical football this season and we won mainly thanks to Messi who scored two perfect freekick goals.
Your choice in Seville derby is interesting and risky, especially to add this to parlay. Betis aren't playing well this season
5769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 09, 2019, 11:35:41 PM

Btw guys, who do you think it's going to get sacked first? Poch or Emery? I say kick 'em both. Look at what Bayern did a few days ago, they sacked Kovac even though the team was 4th in the league table and group leaders in the CL, that's what a team with a winning mentality does.

Crazy how some fans are still backing Poch because "he did so much for the clun over the past few years", some are even saying that what's happening now is not his fault (first stage: denial LOL). They're gonna keep saying that even after the team gets relegated to 2nd division. And Arsenal, #EmeryOut is trending worldwide, the board can't keep turning a blind eye, he needs to go and they better find a replacement asap. Allegri when?

I would say Emery. I highly doubt that Spurs board will sack Pochetino. I've never been fan of Pochetino and I think he is overhyped coach. In all these years in Spurs he haven't won even single trophy. They had some good achievements, 2nd place in EPL, 2nd in Champions league. But just remember how many times they have failed in crucial matches...

Strange that not more talk here about:

https://faucethub.io/news/post/211
Damn, I haven't visited Faucethub recently, so I missed these news. It's very sad to see it. Faucethub did great things in these few years in business and it turned into best faucet microwallet service. And I only can say thank you mexicantarget for it. But these news shows sad current situation of faucets, it's not as good as it was few years ago. It's just interesting will new alternative microwallet service will appear or closure of Faucethub means end of faucet era.
5771  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vodds balantant theft of a large sum of money(deposited) on: November 08, 2019, 10:49:19 PM
Are you talking about Vodds.com? Because I didn't knew this service and it's first website which I found in Google search results.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I see that Vodds have their ANN topic here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5108495.0
Maybe try posting your issue there or on other their social media channels. Maybe some bad publicity will force them to react to your issue.
5772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: November 08, 2019, 10:38:10 PM
Anyways, Real Sociedad are playing tomorrow against the last team in the league table (Leganes), and I think i'll go with Sociedad ML in a 3-team parlay tomorrow (maybe with Sassuolo and Hoffenheim). Or maybe Leganes will give us a nice surprise?  Lips sealed
So, this game ended with a draw what is big surprise IMO, knowing how terrible Leganes were playing away.
It's obvious that Sociedad aren't going to compete with Barca, Real and Atletico, but despite this result, I think that they can reach top 4 at the end of season which would give them chance to play in Champions league.
5773  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jack Ma career advice: You don’t have to be smart to be successful on: November 08, 2019, 10:30:41 PM
Jack Ma is one of the main businessmans who supports 996 hours working system. People have to work from 9AM to 9PM 6 days a week - it's slavery in XXI century IMO... His thoughts about it:
Quote
I personally think that being able to work 996 is a huge blessing," he said in remarks posted on the company's WeChat account.

"Many companies and many people don't have the opportunity to work 996," Ma said. "If you don't work 996 when you are young, when can you ever work 996?"
Source http://news.trust.org/item/20190412111809-pqgy8
Maybe you don't have to be extremely smart to become successful. There is mixture of things needed - creativity, hard work, some luck. And as you see from link above, you also have to make harsh decisions which sometimes overstep borders...
5774  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hardware wallet for $5 - Don't be fooled! on: November 07, 2019, 09:01:53 PM
It's common thing on Chinese online shops, not only when it comes to crypto. If something extremely cheap there, don't even try to order. 99.9% that it will be fake, not working item or something what you didn't odered. But it's good thing that you can open dispute and return your money.
Edit: Nevermind, looks like there is a minimum order buy of 50 units. Definitely won't be doing that.
Yes, because Alibaba is wholesale store for business and you can't buy small number of items there. But probably there is some sellers of fake hardware wallets on Aliexpress too. And yeah, it's very likely that you will get only empty boxes if you will order it.
5775  Other / Meta / Re: [CONTEST] Design the 10 years of Bitcointalk commemorative Coldkey ($500+ prize) on: November 07, 2019, 08:41:31 PM
Thank you @yogg for making this contest. It's great way to celebrate 10th birthday of Bitcointalk.
I see that there is already some nice designs made by participants. But I won't participate in it because I don't have any good ideas how it should look and no knowledge how to make it.
So, I just wish good look to all participants and let the best one win!
5776  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 07, 2019, 08:17:09 PM
So, does it means that Yobit don't have enough money to pay to so many participants.
It's good change, but I think it's easy to make more than 5 posts without spamming. What if some users will do that? Will they get ban or they simply won't get paid for extra posts?
im glad they banning me because of spamming, i cant even transfer my past balance to wallet
goodbye ! thanks for 8 day with you Yahoo!
You needed to have more patience until Yobit will refill their signature campaign wallet. But now it doesn't matter, because you wont get what you earned by spamming.
5777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: November 07, 2019, 08:09:48 PM
Guys, what's up with karma and Dinamo Zagreb? I don't know enough about Croatia football, so can you tell us more about their sins? Is it something related with shady things that Mamic was doing?

Damn, I'm doing so bad in CL pool, I dropped to 14 place. Probably it's time to focus on EPL pool...
5778  Other / Meta / Re: How did you chosen ₿itcointalk username at the beginning of registrations? on: November 07, 2019, 06:05:34 PM
Interesting question. When I joined Bitcointalk, I was struggling to choose my username. I wanted to have cool username which would be easy to remember. But I didn't wanted to use my nickname which I use on other forums, because I wanted some privacy and I wanted to separate my crypto activities from my other hobbies.
I decided to use "LTU", what is abbrevation of my country Lithuania. I wanted to show that there is some crypto enthusiasts from my country. And then I just added "btc" to my nickname. But some people here call me just LTU. I don't use this username anywhere else, except few other crypto forums.
But if I would sign up on Bitcointalk now, I'm not sure that I would pick same nickname.
5779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 06, 2019, 10:21:24 PM
This matchday isn't such exciting as it was yesterday :/
Yesterday we had Dortmund and their great comeback. Today we had Dinamo vs Shaktar. I'd say we're even  Wink
Yeah, actually I wrote this sentence before Shakhtar comeback happened Cheesy. And you forgot to mention Chelsea comeback yesterday Cheesy.
5780  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any reliable alternate for preev.com available on: November 06, 2019, 10:18:41 PM
Honestly, probably I have never used Preev for other currencies than Bitcoin. When I need to convert other cryptocurrencies, I simply enter something like "Monero to EUR" or similar on Google and go to first website shown in search results.
I tried to look for Preev alternatives for altcoins, but failed  to find. From what I saw, I haven't found website which would be convenient as Preev, with basic design, not many ads and other uneccessary stuff.
