5761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 23, 2019, 09:46:37 AM
Top 5 changes game to game that is the reason why there is no true top 5 that could be accepted by everyone, sometimes harden plays so well that he is the best player in the league, then he sucks and does his floppy head moving travelling violation stuff and we all hate him, sometimes Giannis is unreal and it feels like we are watching an alien playing basketball, then we see him lose games like the last night and basically that top 5 always gets that same treatment by everyone.

Raptors vs Bucks is 2-2 and I was really rooting for it to be, I don't even want it to end at 6 games, I want that 7th game, Warriors are going to be champions nevertheless so why not at least get a super exciting eastern conference finals, if we are not getting NBA finals the ECF would be enough to actually watch some exciting basketball.
5762  Economy / Economics / Re: Was Satoshi someone who lost everything in 2008 Market Crash? on: May 22, 2019, 07:25:58 PM

So that people don't lose their money just because of debt bubble

I doubt that that is the purpose of bitcoin. Taking into consideration it is modeled into earlier versions of internet money like Bit Gold and Hashcash, I think Satoshi just continued the earlier work of the creator of those projects. It is just a coincidence that the 2008 recession happened that pushed bitcoins use and propelled its popularity.
This is what one of the  forum user here on bitcointalk must have read that made him believe that another global recession which he believes is approaching will make bitcoin adoption and usage increase more, well, I am not an economist and I don’t know if that would be possible.

What I believe in is the real life working product that satoshi has created for whatever purpose he alone has the answer to, the only way we can just encourage him and appreciate him, is not to keep the good news and solution to ourselves alone, we need to take the news also to the world out there.
5763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Can $50 Million From Banks Add To The Crypto Industry? on: May 22, 2019, 06:35:07 AM
Time to time, we big financial players diving into the cryptocurrency industry, now big banks around the world want to invest $50 Million into cryptocurrency. According to this news... https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/143-banks-set-to-invest-50-million-in-digital-cash-settlement-project

What do you think $50 million will add to this multi-billion industry?
I know this can’t be true for now but not impossible because I know a time will come that naturally, with or without regulations, banks will start getting involved one after the other until it becomes a casual thing, but for now banks would not get involved in cryptocurrency  yet because we all still know their stand against it.

Let us even assume it is true, that amount will not really cause any big pump in the market  that already have a very big market capitalization like bitcoin, we are talking about 8000 BTC here, it will add its own little quota but won’t make any sharp increase, provided they pump it on one market.

If they are to share it around the coins in the market, that is really too small to step up coins of choices, but I am suspecting if it were to be true, banks will focus on investing in XRP alone which will surely cause a very big uptrend for ripple because of the small marketcap they still have compared to BTC.

5766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could still crash below $3000 - Vinny Lingham on: April 17, 2019, 06:42:19 PM
I don't think that the price of Bitcoin could go back to $3000 anymore, though I know that it is possible for the price to get back to $4000 but a wall will be built around that for a long while, then we are going to see a bull run in price, this bull run will start little by little and then begin to grow better even much more than what we saw in 2017, this is the main reason it won't be good to miss out from what is coming, so make sure you get some Bitcoin and keep in your possession.
Great you also think in line with me that the bull run we will see this time ill com little by little, and If I am to break it down based on one or two things I can out together, I will conclude that this gradual growth process will make it quite impossible to really see a dip as low as $4000.

It will be easier for virtually 60% of investors to dump their coin at a very fast growth, if it takes the shape of 2017, but if its going gradually, every increase will have some investors put in money and they will always target a higher profit which will keep the price still high even if the older investors dump theirs.

5768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should we call it a trend or a wave? Or something else? on: March 28, 2019, 08:17:47 PM
for this year there seems to be a pretty good wave for the market, because from now on the market has started to have a good increase even though it is still slow but I am sure that until the end of the year the market will definitely rise again
Good wave starting from these days as increasing market is approaching. The increase on price is noticeable compared to its price month's before and is recommendable for investors to go ride the low wave right now as it is expected to be big before the year ends.
Call it anything but the market is on the rise. Bitcoin and ETH have been bit stable and rising slowly so set up your own trend of making use of the opportunities in the market. If you do not do that, you miss out the opportunity to make money. This is common sense. I think call it wave or the initial phase of recovery but if you do not make use of the opportunities now, it is of no use doing analysis about the market.

All the trend should have started as a wave and only over the course of time, it will develop and grow as an easily identifiable trend. So, the current market situation will not be an exception and we are in sideways markets which is always known for not giving out any right signal but will confuse even the experienced and professional traders.
5769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] - BITCOIN CRAZY MOVE COMING ? 2019 on: March 28, 2019, 07:41:47 PM
This is exactly what we need now in the crypto community and not a bunch of people who are haters of bitcoin and cryptocurrency coming to the forum to tell us that there is going to be a dump in the price of coin because they don't have any bitcoin with them and don't want to miss out from the bull run that might likely come up in the crypto community.

I think more of this kind of content should be created to encourage crypto users who are hodlers so that they don't give up on crypto now, when the bull run is near.
Is this an indirect indication to fear of missing out ? Is it really an invitation ?
I think yes it is because Bitcoin has started a crazy movement and the rise above $4000 attracted the attention of some investors around the world. Today the price again trading in sideways but that is okay because low price fall is followed by high price rise so do not worry about that.

Hopefully, the Bitcoin community will grow and cover the entire world so that we may not have such crazy market conditions but a stable one probably. I am not sure that stable markets for cryptos will be possible in near future.
5770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play poker to train trading on: March 28, 2019, 07:06:17 PM
The poker and trading also same have risk especially today the movement of price value in the coin market cap is very volatile while buying altcoin for trading. Playing poker the risk is if the player not setting up greed control possible to lose huge mone.
I think there is no lesson that you can take in poker for trading besides knowing that both have a high risk too. what are the important lessons of poker that you can implement in trading? both are different you know, strategies, which determine of win, its different.
In my opinion, it means you have the same experiences as a trader in crypto has so you could easily switch from poker to crypto. There are ups and downs in cryptocurrency and a poker player is very well versed with the ups and downs as well. So, here in place of playing against a person like in poker, you would play against the cryptocurrency 2 billion dollar industry. This is I think a good interpretation.

Not just the case of poker, there is a debate for years like when we are gambling with strategies then why not go for trading as trading is known for full of strategies and analysis. In my experience, a trader may become a successful gambler but I am not sure about the vice versa thing.
5771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: tell us about your latest gambling experiences on: March 28, 2019, 04:34:12 PM
When we decide to play gambling, we must be prepared to accept all the risks that might occur. Defeat is something that is so likely to happen. In the gambling game nothing can be ascertained, everything can happen and we must be ready in accepting all the risks, ready mentally then we will get comfort.
Well said mate. Gambling outcome is normally uncertain and I always say it that gamers should be prepared for defeat at any points same with winnings. I don’t think there’s any gamer that does not know that gambling game is risky. I find it annoying when people start to grumble after loosing in the game.

I can’t remember the number of times I’ve lost playing gambling but it doesn’t hurt me because I understand the game and I don’t commit so much into playing. Like you said, we must always be willing to accept the risk that comes with gambling
5772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at a Non Profit? on: March 28, 2019, 02:42:30 PM
2.) How could the recipients turn their crypto into cash without going through a bank? For example, if we sent 10,000 worth of Rupee to India via crypto, how would the end user convert this into Rupee in their country?

They just have to look for a local exchange in their country or they could just look for a person that is willing to trade their coins for their currency. About North Korea, I doubt that they can find a local exchange there.
North Korea will be a no go area at all, I learnt that they even ban the use of internet in North Korea and only permitted when authorized by the government, for a country that doesn’t use internet much, how would the citizens even be aware of cryptocurrency, in this quest for adopters of crypto, we just have to zero our mind on North Korea.

I think your suggestion is very wise to follow for him and I believe India will even be a very good place to be able to do such because of their population and their strong exposure to information technology and virtually they should have upto 10% crypto users there, just that they will be forced to sell their BTC at a very low price if they are to go by your method.
5773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to minimise the trading fee? on: March 28, 2019, 01:52:33 PM
Any recommendations?
Currently in Australia, I would like to seek for an exchange platform with lowest trading fee but also with regulation.
Don't shoot the unregulated exchange to me, I hope my currency to be safe.
Are you sure you want to find a cheap fee? I suggest not to get too fixated with cheap fees, you should think of quality, look for an exhcange that has a good level of quality, it will have no meaning when it is cheap, but the quality of the exchange is not good. Believe that when you feel comfortable in an exchange you will be able to successfully make exchanges.
Cheap fee also matter mate, you know it depends on what every trader is capable of investing for trading and when it comes to trading, you have to consider the trading fee to be able to start making profit quickly and looking at this exchanges too, I feel it is just greed that is affecting most of them, most of these quality exchanges has lots of volumes which should have made them bring the charges on trading low but yet, they still charge high.

Quality matter too, I am not disputing that fact but cost of trading also very important thing to consider. Trading with lower fee will make the trader make more profit.
5774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest any time? on: March 28, 2019, 11:58:57 AM
Never buy a coin when it's on its all time high. I made that many mistakes before I finally learned. Never chase that hyped coin and if you really like the coin then wait for it to go down or fluctuate and then analyze the price that it's safe to finally buy.
Simple and clear, it is not that an investor cannot invest any time, the timing of every coin in the market varies, we still have lots of coins that will be registered in exchange this minute, this hour, so the best is never to buy that particular coin of interest at the peak price but study carefully though the necessary chart and analysis to fully pick the best time to enter the trade.

The reason why chart is necessary is to really determine if the price has really reach its peak because bitcoin had once put me in this situation, I was lucky to have quickly made my decision, when bitcoin was around $8000 during the bull run, I could almost conclude that it was the peak, waiting for it to drop, it was through chart that I was able to know that I could still invest at that price.
5775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is right for investment?? on: March 28, 2019, 11:28:56 AM
How do you choose altcoin in the current conditions, when you want to invest in cryptocurrency? Do you see the price or popularity? Share your suggestions and I will appreciate it. Thank you for your comments, success is always for us all.
It depends on the form of investment that you are opting for, when it comes to long term trading, sure, price and popularity will play their own role too but the best way to go about the investment is to choose your investment based on the quality of the project.

If you invested in a project that will crash overtime irrespective of the price or its popularity, you will end up losing your investment in the long run but if you are going in for a short term trading, it is fine to use the project price and popularity to make your decision and when it comes to price, you have to buy when the price is at dip and not peak so you can sell high when it has attain the price you desire to sell it.
5776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICO's Dead? on: March 27, 2019, 07:57:07 PM
Too many number of ICO that does not have working product will make bad effect in ICO market. Demand of ICO still high but investor really choose only good project with live product. ICO market need regulation to avoid fraud and to protect investor.
This is the major point of the matter; many ICOs coming up really need to ensure that the project has an amazing product that will make people rush for it.

Let’s take a look at Samsung, let’s say they decided to enter the cryptocurrency industry too and create their own coin, no matter the level of dumping that will occur from non-serious investors, it will never bring the project down because their products that is high in demand and will always be high in demand will tend to balance the equation.

Hence, most team should not just come up with a project they ordinarily believe in their own eyes to be good based on their own personal exposure or assumption but what is really in demand generally.
5777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto space must be sanitized on: March 27, 2019, 07:26:04 PM
The cryptocurrency crowd funding industry has gained a tarnished reputation over the past couple of years due to an abundant amount of scams, ponzi schemes, and projects that don't deliver on their promises and a lot of this has to do with a lack of awareness so it's very important for investors to conduct their own thorough research and due diligence with each offering whether it be an ICO, IEO or STO and not just rely on benchmarks, hype or the latest launchpad to ensure the investment is worthwhile
We can’t really conclude that all investors that has been a victim of scam didn’t conduct their proper research before investing, as far as the crowd funding is in form of ICO and not IPO, any research you will do on such ICO is based on the whitepaper presented and can never come in form of physical verification since the location of the project we are investing in might even be as far as another continent, it is anything we find on the internet we believe and will be difficult to really filter which one is true or not because virtually all the whitepaper of these projects looks very good and the team looks serious on paper.
5778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction also a result of trauma? on: March 27, 2019, 01:27:59 PM
Generally, only weak mind gamblers become addicted very fast, not all of them. But it is really hard who to save them from addiction. Because i will tell you in my words but act upon wise it is hard to do it. Addiction is very bad it is like a poison in our body. So it is not matter is it addiction of gambling, or drug or anything, but it will be destroy our life, So we should keep it our mind and control ourself from addiction.
I don’t think only weak mind gamblers become addicted. Those whom you refer to as weak mind gambler may probably be that way as a result of one single trauma they suffered from in their childhood. Like someone who has suffered loneliness or who has lost a parent might just grow up to become an addicted gambler.

This has nothing to do with control of the mind, the victim might just see gambling as a means of catching fun at the beginning but before you know it, he would be increasing the fun by spending a lot of time and money on the game just to satisfy his or her desire, he would be thinking his healing the pains and won’t be long, the player is already an addicted gambler. I think it is best for those who has suffered any form of abuse not to gamble at all
5779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever managed to recover your losses? on: March 27, 2019, 09:05:40 AM
If I total all lost in gambling I thinl more than 5 bitcoin since I played gambling but now I really recover my lost a little but not literally all of my lost but it's okay for me because I still have more time to recover it and I will make sure I will recover it when this year end.

If luck bless you then definitely you will achieve your goal and recover it. But be aware because it is not easy to recovering the loss, most of the time when we try to recover the loss in gambling then gambling give us more losses, even out of range. Its my experience of gambling, that's why i quit to recover the loss, i do play just for fun.
I don’t think luck would play out here. This situation needs more of wisdom, strategy and then luck can now come in. For someone who has lost up to 5BTC and still on the journey to recovering more I would say that is really a dangerous mission.

I am happy you have successfully recovered some but ill advice you learn to start playing for fun and try to abort the motive of going on the journey to recover all so as you might not end up losing all the ones you have earned or the ones you’ve been able to recover so far. Just my little suggestion though.
5780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nasty Sell Walls are killing the free cryptomarket on: March 26, 2019, 08:37:04 AM
It is one hell of a reason why we need to also learn to really play along with theses whales, because they are very smart and already been an experts in this manipulation of a thing, best option really for now is to pause selling on those coin we earn or bought by holding onto them for so long, like you said, by doing so, the sell wall manipulation will become useless to them.

I leaned that another way one can use to play along with this whales is also to learn how to make use of chart analysis, I was told one will be able to know when they will pump or dump a particular coin through this, I haven’t tried t though, still thoroughly learning more on chart analysis but for now, I am seriously holding my coins.
