5781  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 13, 2015, 10:57:45 PM
They're just trying to get suckers to pay to repopulate their ASIC farm with scrypt boards. They they suckered us into repopulating their Bitfury farm with our hash boards in May 2014 and told us to fuck off. Their delay excuses were pure bullshit, my order from 2013 is still unfulfilled.

FUCK YOU SCAMMING CUNTS!

Having business opportunities pass you by while the bank sits on your money for days or even weeks really sucks.

I just visited the bank... denied until Monday.  Embarrassed

Global adoption can't happen soon enough, what a crock of shit this fiat banking system is.

What happened exactly?

There's a reason there is a sarcastic saying that implies people don't work much, it's called "working banker's hours." Global adoption of Bitcoin will be great but I think the fiat system needs to remain for Bitcoin to flourish. If the fiat system disappears the Bitcoin system will be completely exposed to manipulation (as we've seen with fiat.)

What happened? I took a cheque I received to a branch of the bank that issued it and they refused to cash it until Monday.
5788  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: July 11, 2015, 10:58:13 PM
Grey aliens with big heads and black eyes: made from modified children in secret underground labs.

UFOs: they're unidentified.

Space, planets, galaxies, stars: all fake and part of a centuries old mind control conspiracy to keep you enslaved and worlds resources flowing to the 1%.

Earth: it's flat.

That being said I suspect there are real aliens from beyond the antarctic ice wall and that they do visit us in lighter than air ships from time to time.

Think this is nuts? Do a little research.  Grin

OK I think I see the problem now. I actually was getting paid for the shares, and because I could not have bitcoind and bitcoin-qt open at the same time I couldn't see it. That problem was solved by installing an Electrum wallet on the machine that can be open with bitcoind.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to run bitcoind to use p2pool.  bitcoin-qt works just fine for that purpose.  At least that's how I did it when I was running p2pool on windows.

M

You need to run bitcoind now, bitcoin-core no longer supports mining. It's located in the bitcoin\daemon directory.

Due to the recent upward surge in the price of BTC Bitcoin has come under severe attack. The attacks are costing the attackers money but they're failing to shut down the network.

I'd like to report that in spite of the attacks transactions (with a reasonable miner fee) have been going through with no problems.
5795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We ARE under attack.. we NEED to act... on: July 10, 2015, 12:13:23 AM
I traced the attacks to my alt-coin mining operation last year to Panama and Switzerland, they went to a lot of trouble to screw me out of $5 worth of doge.

Any idea where these attacks are originating from?
5796  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: July 09, 2015, 10:51:26 PM
Windows update did something (I think) and I can't figure it out (yet). While it doesn't effect my ability to mine or connect to the stats page locally I can can't connect remotely. All I get is garbled text then the error "the connection was rest".

 Huh Huh

It was working fine a few days ago, then my node started to get hammered by some sort of attack (made my S5 beep). I had some other users connecting to my node but they dropped off.. then the attack stopped. Then widows did an update and now remote connections are borked.

EDIT:

Win 10 is on it way in a couple of weeks, I'm not even going to muck with the works here...

EDIT 2:

Router decided to act up, I gave it the evil eye and it decided to behave.  Grin

People are going to go into a mad rage on me when I get the F40 body kit.

Some new plastic and a little wax made really made them stew on my last car. Gonna add a another 0 to the equation this time.  Grin

Anybody else have an issue connecting from a remote IP to the stats html pages?

It was working fine until last night, now all I get is garbled text with the only thing readable being the version number. This is when I connect from my android, no problems connecting locally however.
