581  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How was Casascius able to make his coins so cheap? on: November 30, 2016, 01:58:08 AM
Personally, I take possession of my dies after coins are produced.  While I can't speak for Mike, given his stance on security, I would imagine he also took possession of his dies.

As for how he was able to sell them so cheap...  The brass is only worth about $0.05, I imagine it probably cost $1 per unit for the minting fee, and at $2 he could have been doubling his money.  The question you should be asking, is how are current coin producers able to get away with copying Casascius' idea and then charging a $75-$500 markup for what is essentially a knock off.
To be honest that was the point I was getting at.  Any idea, anyone? Huh

The site is lagging like crazy for me, I can barely open anything.

Every message I send on the chat gets sent through at least 5 - 6 times.  Same thing for each dice I roll, it rolled 6 times.  What the heck, lol
584  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How was Casascius able to make his coins so cheap? on: November 29, 2016, 11:45:42 PM
If you take a look at his original post, he sold the 1 BTC coins for 1.25 BTC, and that extra 0.25 BTC was about $2 at time of posting... How was he able to create and sell the coins so cheap?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=41892.0

If they are the brass ones, IIRC they were made at the same place that car wash token were made... brass token coins are not expensive to produce, especially in the large amounts that were made by him.

That really is the craziest thing.. the brass ones were indeed made by a car wash token manufacturer - hence them being so cheap to produce and sell. The security of these coins is down to the holograms, as I would imagine the brass tokens would be pretty easy to replicate.

The silver coins were produced by a mint (don't know which one) and were therefore of a much better quality. Again, the security of Casascius coins is the holograms. If those were easy to counterfeit, then I imagine we would have seen some a decent amount of fakes by now. There have been instances of fake holograms, but to the trained eye, they were easy to tell apart from genuine ones. Any Casascius collector would be able to tell the difference. The manufacturer of Casascius holograms is unknown (to me anyway), and I hope it stays that way actually.

That's crazy!  And yet, they are such valuable coins today.  Does anyone know how much casascius originally sold the coins produced by a mint for?
It's just that the premiums coins sell for nowadays cost so much more than what Mike was selling them for.

The system seems to be working fine now.  Has anyone had their -1 days credited?
Edit: I got credited way too much, haha
587  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where Can I invest in Bitcoin Casino? on: November 29, 2016, 11:23:48 PM
Betking would be the most profitable bitcoin casino to invest in right now. Lots of whales and albeit the not very consistent volume still attracts big bets like 200 bitcoins each or even more regularly. Your other options would be crypto games and bitvest.

Don't forget MoneyPot, which allows you to invest in many casinos at once. And you can create your own as well.
I'd "invest" in moneypot's bankroll, as well as crypto-games.net.  Profits seem to be steadily increasing.
588  Other / Archival / Re: Namecheap account for sell on: November 29, 2016, 11:14:49 PM
can you prove you own this account with proof and then what is you asking price. I o you can transfer the domains but can you transfer the hosting to another namecheap account.
Is not The screenshot a proof? I My name is Al Amin, my user name here also alamin. And I am selling the whole account but I am not sure of it (hosting)
no it's not and there is no easy way to prove that the OP owns that account.

I will take you up on your "vouch" service, if you are providing.  I am skeptical, though.
Send me a PM!

Well todays there is the 30 days trial period, and im skeptical as you were in the begining, even with some users already being part of the slack group and looks like able to make good money with op signals, soo your feedback should be today or tomorrow i will wait and see what to do next.

***THIS IS A PERSONAL REVIEW, WITH ONLY MY PERSONAL OPINIONS***

The problem is that I really didn't have the time to take advantage of the calls.
His signals seem very legit, however, if you can't follow them the moment they are sent out, the markets usually move very quickly and you'll lose out on said signal.

The biggest problem for me, as I mentioned, is time.  Many of the OP's calls also happened like at 2 - 5 AM EST time, when i was sleeping.  You'll have to talk to the OP about time zone differences before purchasing.

I've followed 3 signals and they've all turned green.  Please keep in mind that the forex market is very volatile, and it's risky no matter how experienced or smart your advisor is.

Overall, the OP's service seems legit, and you'll most likely be able to benefit from it if you can follow his signals right after he posts them.  I'll try to be more active in trying out his service now, and will post an updated review later on.

I'd be happy to answer any additional questions.

really fun game.  1 annoying thing is that the max and x2 button are so close together, sometimes you click the wrong one...

Edit: 2 deposits not showing up, I had thought deposits were instant.  Sent you a PM.

593  Economy / Lending / Re: 40-70 BTC on: November 29, 2016, 01:19:26 AM
I expected questions about the proposal and exchanging emails with a few people. I didn't ask for
the money to be dumped into my wallet no questions asked. But I would also expect for people
giving out loans to actually have a conversation with that person instead of attacking them. I was
asking for a loan on something I've worked on for years, not a few bucks so I can go buy some beer
and video games. I wrote out a detailed outline of what my concept does. That is far more than a lot of other
people do, and that is because I had something I had worked on and put my sweat into.

Then don't come into our clubhouse for the first time wearing a mask and asking for $50,000!   Shocked

You just don't seem to get the point.  You should have joined the community a long time ago and interacted with us for a while before asking for money.

I actually used to read the forum posts a long time ago, back in the mooncoin days. After mooncoin and cryptsy happened I left the game for
a while. I may have a new user title but I've been on this site for around three years.
Right, but you're missing the point.

Should the fact that you browsed this forum 3 years ago mean we should give you $50000?

Wrong place to advertise.  Please move this into the services, goods, or service announcements section of the forum!

596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: escrow on: November 28, 2016, 12:47:21 AM
What if an escrow take away with all my bitcoins/money??

Please; as a member I would want to know if we have someone here that would and has done that.  Assuming you have records/proof of your claim please follow up to protect us all.  I would personally contact our Mod(s) in a PM and present my case.  Once the site knows of a bad actor hopefully they would act appropriately.  If you check there are those here with strong TRUST and recognition of the community.  As mentioned above; their reputation is worth way more than the few BTC you are moving.

Take a look at what master-p did, who was once a reputable member here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1306301.0
Mods will not do anything other than tag that user.  What else can they do?

In the end, you choose who you trust.  The more lenient you are, the more likely you are to be scammed.

Well i will try to be more clear and try to improve my quality as well, im sorry to had took your time, with those. I never thinked it were some restriction about the time between posts at all, as long you keep at the topic, my bad.

This isnt personal and even be bored to be removed from the signature i do understand your arguments, Chris i do follow the rizzarola, and i do believe as long you arent damaging others even being part of those list, you can do your work, some tasks and be at some signature.

Moonbux, that werent complaint lol, it were my point of view just.
Again, it was complaining, take a look at the definition.

Express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event.

You are expressing dissatisfaction at the way you are being treated.  I had already sent you the link of the definition.  You should be always trying to learn English if you are truly looking to improve your posting quality on this forum.
598  Economy / Services / Re: I'm looking for VPN service with Bitcoin payment on: November 28, 2016, 12:39:35 AM
https://privateinternetaccess.com/

I can recommend you Private Internet Access. This VPN accepts Bitcoins. I recommended it before to my boss in my previous company in order to provide remote accountants a US IP for accessing bank accounts of the company's clients. So far, the feedback of my previous company on this VPN is great and reliable. I first learned about this VPN on Lifehacker and ThePiratebay forums.

Don't forget to leave me some tip on my tip jar if you found my insights helpful to you.
I second Private Internet Access, great VPN provider.  A bit pricey though.  Also, please try not to ask for tips directly on your post.  Having it in your signature is enough.

600  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Having 0.1 btc to sell. For PayPal want to do 1:1 on: November 27, 2016, 10:27:35 PM
I could try and do this for you but that would be sent as goods and services from what you are saying. Am I correct in this?
If you send first then I would ok with doing this for you.
Where is the user saying that they want it as goods or services?
I can do this as well granted the deals don't go through.
He changed his opening statement because it had something about accepting payments from other countries involved.
Didn't see that, thanks Smiley  Offer still stands as long as there are no shady plays.
